Reviewed Sep 6, 2026Le quartier est vraiment charmant avec un vrai esprit village. A quelques pas, un magnifique parc aux multiples séquoias géants, reposant, loin de la foule tokyoite. Le personnel accueillant, la chambre traditionnelle spacieuse, la cuisine commune bien pratique.
Rien. Éventuellement il pourrait y avoir un peu plus d'ustensiles dans la cuisine. Mais le rapport qualité prix est déjà tout à fait excellent. Pour ceux qui sont sensibles pensez à prendre au cas où, des bouchons d'oreilles pour les rares cas où les clients de la chambre voisine discutent un peu tard le soir. D'ailleurs dans la cuisine notre hôte a l'amabilité d'en proposer en libre service. Mais cela reste anecdotique. Ça ne nous a pas gêné.

Reviewed Jun 2, 2026一棟昭和老宅，我提早抵達check-in時沒有工作人員，他們將住宿資訊印在紙上放在玄關，你自己找房間，我幸運地住到隔壁咖啡店樓上的「富士の間」，房間比預期的大很多，床鋪也很舒服，鑰匙放在桌上，外出時自己保管。
浴室太小間了，容易撞到牆壁；Wi-Fi訊號不太強；有聽說房間插座很少，但我住的「富士の間」插座很多，所以應該是房型問題。

There forgot to give me a towel, but they apologized a lot and tried to fix it immediately even though I was staying for one night. The hostel is in a quiet residential area. I little away from the center but if you don't mind commuting it's a perfect place to stay

Reviewed Apr 26, 2026Both the home and the residential neighborhood were clean quiet and calm. The room was spacious. The mats and comforters were of high quality and very comfortable. Interaction with the staff was minimal but everything was always set up and in order. Would def stay here again. The bikes were a wonderful bonus.

Reviewed Apr 22, 2026The house and its rooms have very traditional Japanese style, tatami soft with padding, deco themes of pleasing colors, old wooden frames transporting you back in time. It is close to Kanamachi station, 8-9 mins of walking and you will find Komeda cafes, bakery, ramen shops, supermarket, familymart, and of course, Starbucks.
A bit far from the city areas like Shibuya, but close to Ueno park and Asakusa (30mins by train).

More worn out place then shown on the pictures. Not very confortable sleep - very tough pillows, everyrhing can be heard in the rooms. First two days could not sleep as in upper floor were making a lot of noise whole night.

If you are visiting in early spring like we did, be aware that outside of your rooms the hostel will be cold. Including the shower and washroom area. It is also an old house, so you hear everything and everyone. It is just something to know in advance because it is still a great stay with a very nice host.

Reviewed Feb 14, 2026受験宿に親子で利用させていただきました。 学校は線路を挟んで反対側でしたが、線路の下をくぐれる歩行者通路が宿の前の道と繋がっており、徒歩5分で行けた立地が最高でした。 個室は、他の建物とは別なので静かでした。 建物としては古そうでしたが、清潔感があり、好感が持てました。 電子レンジ、電気ポット、ドライヤーはもちろん、鍋、食器類たくさん、コーヒーもあって、家にいるみたいに不自由はありませんでした。
ユニットバスのトイレ側の排水溝側に水が集まる傾斜がついていないので、お風呂から出てしまった水は、ずっとトイレの床に溜まったままでした。上手に入れば良いのでしょうが…。 あと、各自バスタオルが1枚のみだったので、ちょっと手を拭く用のフェイスタオルを、部屋に1枚でいいのであると良かったです。バスタオルは、お風呂利用後、トイレ側に溜まった水を拭くのに使ってしまい、なくなったので。

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026Residential neighbourhood just 8 min walk from train station. Nice host who recommended a nearby Okinawan restaurant, which was good. Extra positive to get 2 big fluffy towels, and that the AC had a quiet sleep modus (once I figured out how that works with a translation app).
Kitchen needs more frequent checking, since other guests leave food in the fridge or leave the kitchen towels dirty.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026自転車を無料で貸し出してくれる所。コンビニに行ったり、金町周辺を散策出来たり良かった。駐車場も1日800円で借りれるし、歯ブラシなどのアメニティも助かりました。
敷布団とシーツに以前の宿泊者の髪の毛なのか⁈数本付いていて、布団で寝たくなくなった。布団2組共、知らない人の髪の毛がついているだけで不衛生な感じがするので、ちゃんと確認してほしいです。

Absence d’hôte sur place, clientèle douteuse sale et bruyante ( fume des cigarettes dans les toilettes, urine sur ces dernières, personne ivre qui réveille toute la maison à 5h du matin …) absence totale de réactivité des hôtes en cas de problème. Par ailleurs note concernant les parties communes : il fait très très froid dans la pension (séjour en décembre).

Reviewed Dec 20, 2025This was the perfect, quaint stay for our first night in Japan. We wanted an affordable, authentic place to rest on our first night, after over twenty four hours of traveling total, between airport hopping, layovers, and trains upon arriving in Tokyo, and this hostel was exactly what we expected and needed. Our room even had a tiny garden view that we were able to enjoy while we ate our breakfast, that we got from a very close conbini. The facilities were extremely clean, quiet, and charming, and the same could be said for the friendly staff lady we met upon checking out the following morning. If ever we return, we would definitely pick here for our first night again.

Reviewed Nov 14, 2025Il s'agit d'une maison traditionnelle avec 6 chambres réparties sur 2 étages. Nous aimons beaucoup ce quartier où nous séjournons pour la deuxième fois. Il est exempt de touristes, proche de la gare.Très typique,avec ses petits commerces, son bain public, ses petits restaurants,ses maisons de ville. On peut y arriver à n'importe quelle heure à partir de 13h. Si la dame qui fait le ménage n'est plus là ( elle ne parle pas un chouïa d'anglais), la porte est ouverte et le reste. Dans l'entrée où l'on se déchausse, se trouvera un papier à votre nom vous indiquant votre chambre avec un plan de la maison et votre clé. Chambre de style japonais, de taille moyenne.Douches et toilettes partagées à chaque étage. Cuisine bien équipée partagée aussi La gare de Ueno est à 35mn en train.
La chambre "européanisée" avec lits qui prennent trop de place d'où un aménagement du mobilier encombrant. Mieux vaut les chambres de style japonais.

Chambre spacieuse, hébergement toujours propre, il y a aussi le service de livraison bagages, la pâtisserie au coin juste exquise, proche d’une laverie, seven Eleven, de la gare, d’une centre commercial et de nombreux restaurants. Un grand merci aux personnels pour leur aide et leur accueil. Je recommande à 1000%

Reviewed Oct 10, 2025Le quartier est calme et charmant. Il y a une laverie juste à côté du logement, ce qui est pratique. La chambre Tsubaki, que nous avions est spacieuse. Il s'y trouve un petit salon, une terrasse en plus du lit.
Le matelas est très dur. Cela a convenu à l'un, l'autre a préféré dormir sur le canapé.

En mi habitación, que estaba Justo al lado de la ducha, tenía el interruptor de la luz por la parte de fuera y algunos inquilinos nos la encendían mientras dormíamos o intentaban abrir la puerta pensando que era la ducha, debería tenerlo mejor señalizado. Por lo demás todo bien.

Reviewed Oct 7, 2025Ein perfekter Start in das Abenteuer Tokio. Das Zimmer war geräumig und sauber, Check-In und -Out waren einfach und problemlos. Das Haus ist sehr schön und liegt ruhig in einem Wohngebiet. Der Kontakt zu unseren Gastgebern war ebenfalls freundlich. Alles in allem sind wir traurig, dass wir nur so kurz hier waren und freuen uns darauf, am Ende unserer Reise wieder hierher zurückzukommen.
