Tout!! L’emplacement entre nature et eaux vives absolument incroyable, le chalet très confortable et très propre. Excellente literie on se sent comme dans un cocon. Le personnel est très attentionné et très souriant nous avons adoré séjourner au Platon.

Un véritable havre de paix. Cet hôtel incroyable est construit au cœur de cascades et de rivières, ce qui donne une agréable sensation d’être hors du temps. Une belle immersion dans la jungle dominicaine. Les équipements sont top et nous avons particulièrement apprécié la décoration de l’hôtel, raffinée, d'esprit countryside. Le petit déjeuner est également excellent.

la construction est complètement intégré dans la nature, l’eau est omniprésente c’est magnifique les activités proposées sont tops notamment le tubbing c’était une expérience qu’on oubliera pas

The attention from the staff is impeccable. Outstanding experience the best hotel in all of Barahona and its vicinity. I will certainly come back and relive a truly natural oasis.

This place is beautiful the only thing is that when u do check in they tell u the name of the room name to go to. No direction no one to tell y where to go how far we had to walk all around to finally realize where it was. Other then that amazing place.

Eco lodge platon is a short 20 minute drive from Paraiso beach. the lodge sits on the side of the river surrounded by lush forest and cacao farms. perfect place to escape from the heat of the beach and discover the mountains.

The place is beautiful and the staff friendly and happy to help with all issues. The cabins were ample, well maintained, and very clean. The food was excellent and offered a very good choice of family friendly menu items.

Access requires a 4x4 vehicle, although the hotel offers a place to park a car at the foot of the hill and can send its own transport to pick you up. The ride will be very bumpy, but I think that the destination is worth it. While this didn't affect me, the place is not wheelchair accessible.

The hotel was very beautiful and clean, the staff was really friendly and nice. This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing time

Wonderful place! Thoughtfully laid out in an area of natural beauty, including waterfalls and rivers. Very comfy rooms. The bed was excellent. Food was great and worth eating on site at their restaurant. The road up to the lodge is best in a 4x4 but not terrible (they can collect you). Staff were very helpful. The toboggan run is fast and thrilling. I have travelled and stayed in many places in the DR. This rates in my top 3.

Beautiful area, quiet and staff is friendly. The cabins need a little more maintenance for the price they are charging (the ac kept turning off every 60 minutes all evening long and they decided to hammer in a broken balcony beam in the first floor while we weee on the room, without asking first).

The location was beautiful and the individual units very comfortable. The many lagoons and waterfalls on the property were spectacular. Going tubing on the river was lots of fun. The food was good. The wait staff was outstanding.

The amenities we were interested in, such as the spa and horseback riding weren't available. We also were greeted by a very unfriendly receptionist. As a first impression of your hotel she was awful.

I was sent the wrong direction link and got lost. never found the place and non one would answer the phone. Please check this vendor as it is a scam. My credit card has been notified.

The manager is awful, horrible customer service I don't know if it's something related to Barahona or what but manager just as Stefany are just horrible, nasty attitude Even the owner of the place was there, I understand he doesn't have to be nice to visitors but oh my god horrible attitude with the people is paying them they supposed to be there to serve us in a way and if you are the owner of a business you better act like one friendly toward his customers but obviously this was not the case, they ruin the whole business experience

What a gorgeous property! We slept in a super comfortable tree house that was so peaceful. It was the best night's sleep we have had in years. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. The restaurant was delicious. We cannot wait to go back!

It's a hidden retreat by the river where you are surrounded by nature and mini waterfalls around the property.

It's tucked away in between the mountains, accesible through rough roads - drive responsibly.

property is great but the way to get there is not easy. there is 2 different way and if you take the wrong one you will be in danger so make sure to get the right one but even that one is not danger but is very difficult to get there.

Beautiful Resort in the Mountains of Paraiso, Dominican Republic. If you are visiting for the first time get the ride provided by the resort it will help you reach the place because you need a good 4x4 vehicle to get there. But it will not disappoint you!!! Since you arrive the smiles abound with Joanna in the Front Desk-Manager of the property who will let you know about the activities available. Josie and Jose are the persons Incharged of guiding you in the hiking, tubing and horseback riding very nice and polite. And Finally the Chef Elvis de La Cruz in the Restaurant will surprise you with delicious meals on a daily basis Beautiful comfortable cabins, with A/C, hot water and good beds. I will definitely return!!!

If you like cold showers, poor food and pay 250 $ rate per night: thaïs place is for you! You can't use the pool (so dirty, nobody in obviously), I hurt my foot with a nail on the terrace floor (photo) and the staff almost call me a liar! They want you to pay 10 USD to use the toboggan (so dirty too), they charge 30 USD to go to the city with their 4X4 (except check in/ check out). You need a 4X4 to go there (about 30 minutes from the main road). Nobody speaks in English, the service is so poor (half of the restaurant' menu is not available) and almost all the food is frozen (nothing's fresh except fruits end potatoes). In a 4 days stays, always cold showers (except two times). The only positive point in this stay is the forest around, very beautiful. I don't recommend this place for anyone.

The property itself looks nice but the problem is that nobody tells you the reality of the roads to get there, I got lost , sleep in my vehicle, had our lives in dangerous and nobody answered the phone when I called for help. There’s a lack of communication between the staff the works at the property and the staff that organized your stay, they don’t give you a direct number to speak to the staff that is at the hotel. I ask to cancel my reservation after being traumatized by the experience and still haven’t heard back from them.

lack of communication between people who organized your stay and the staff at the property. not enough information about the real state of the roadside, not enough signs to indicate that you are on the correct road. lack of a phone number where a client can communicate with the staff at the hotel. I had to sleep in my vehicle because I couldn’t get to the hotel with the location that was sent to me last minute. my life was at risk on my way to the hotel. No one answered the phone when I called for help.

The food was amazing. The space is very beautiful and the bed was comfortable. Staff was very nice and polite. The chef made a cake for my wife which was really great to celebrate her birthday. I appreciated the receptionist for being proactive and trying to solve all things that happened. The parking at the gas station is safe and the driver to the hotel is very nice. Also, the guide that takes you up the waterfall is amazing and very friendly. The chef is very prepared, he learned to cook at Barcelo hotels and also David, one of the waiters, is extremely helpful.

The hike was a bit scary to do with a baby. The water slide seemed a little dangerous. There were bees in the tree house I was staying and I am allergic to bees so I felt unsafe and concerned (specially having a baby there). I think there was a security problem on site because 2000 pesos were taken from my wallet. After bringing that up at the reception, I was asked to speak to the cleaning lady about it in the presence of the receptionist. I felt very uncomfortable about it and would never wish to be put on the spot again. Felt weird. There is no other place other than the restaurant for you to eat and you have to get an appetizer and main course. It costs 25 usd per person but what I didn't know what that on top of that they included 28% in taxes.

Amazing spot! Make sure you have a 4x4 or at least an SUV, otherwise arrange to be picked up at the local gas station beforehand. Worth it, for sure!

It’s quite an adventure to get there. Need a 4x4 vehicle, once you arrive it’s paradise. Know that cell signal is very weal and only in the restaurant you will find a weak wifi. So can be isolated form the world a big part of your day The places lease is amazing and is really eco. Bring a good book and your camera

There are no words to describe the beauty and peacefulness that abound in Platon Ecolodge. Fun for kids, great for adults only as well. Food was great. Staff was friendly. I do hope in the future they decide to provide WiFi as, regretfully, in the modern world one can't go more than a few days without communication. Cell phone service is spotty at best; 3G and only a couple of bars at that.

If you stay here plan to just stay here and not leave. Bring a 4X4 or you will have to pay $30 for the shuttle to take you to your car. We should have stayed only one night to experience the resort and then booked another hotel. We did have A LOT of fun it was relaxing and beautiful. The food was not bad but if you want anything extra you'll be charged. Also nearest store is far so employees will get you extra things you request at a 300 percent mark up. Our bill for the three nights after we paid for our room was almost $300. Service is great and the resort is beautiful. The resort is better for families but it's not inclusive there is a charge for everything.

property located in remote area where you need a 4x4 vehicle to reach to destination , our stay was peaceful and pleasant , staff are very friendly and helpful specially David who was vey cooperative and super helpful we had little issue with hot water but was quickly resolve will visit location again.

Amazing stay. We stayed at the tree house room and we loved it; the decoration, the bed, the bathroom; every thing was super great. The hotel is beautiful, peaceful and romantic, great for couples but also for families. The food is so good and the staff is super friendly and nice. We got a couple massage at the river and was super amazing. The prices are super cheap and Overall excellent hotel, everything is more than great. I loved it and would recommend it.

Rancho Platon is an outstanding place in Paraíso, Dominican Republic; I would love going back there. Although, there is room for improvement on information and transportation from the local town to the mountain.
