We always love staying at Le Cristal de Jade when visiting Chamonix; it’s our go-to place! The property is beautifully maintained, and the pool area is a wonderful spot to relax after a day out in the mountains. One area for improvement would be ensuring the apartment is thoroughly cleaned before check-in. During our last stay, we noticed it wasn’t as spotless as we’ve come to expect. A little more attention to detail would make the experience even better.

An apartment hotel designed like a country cottage. The apartment was very spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Right in front of the hotel there is a huge supermarket where you can find everything you need. The pool and spa at the hotel are excellent. The hotel is located right next to the cable car that goes up to l'Aiguille du midi Highly recommended!

Lots of room for the family. Loved the amenities including the hammam and sauna!

Overall a good stay. Staff at Reception are very pleasant but it is a bit slow as there is only one poor employee that seems to be doing the job of many, checking in, answering the phones, minding the bar and serving drinks and also bringing items to your room if needed like cots etc. Reception completely shuts outside of the hours of 8am-8pm you can’t even get into the area, dread to think what would happen if you lost your room key? We had a medical issue with one of our children and needed advice on who to call however it was past 8pm and there wasn’t even an answer on the telephone. I had asked for a cot and iron prior to my arrival, neither of which were there so we had to wait with a very restless 4 month old before we could get him off to bed We were looking onto the road which was very loud during the night. However the room was nice, small things like staining on the walls and curtains could be addressed but otherwise clean and tidy. Bear in mind if you’re planning on using the sofa bed it comes out as two single beds with quite a large gap down the middle so would not be suitable for small children The pool is great and easily accessed.

This was my second time here (and soon I'm staying here for the third time). The property is immaculate and an absolute steal for the very reasonable pricing. Apartments are spacious, have a nice chaltet feel and cosiness yet very modern, balconies are large, and free spa facilities are great (sauna, hammam, jacuzzi, pool). The frontdesk is very helpful and transparent. Mr. Phillipe was very responsive even before we reached and made sure we had the best possible apartment exactly matching the very specific requirements I had requested for (unobstructed view of Mt. Blanc and Les Bossons glacier). Simialarly Mr. Josquin was also very patient in answering our queries and helping us plan our days. Lastly, the location is awesome. You are within 500mts from village main street with loads of dining and shopping options. Aguille du Midi cable car and train station are just steps away. The free parking is a bonus. La Cristal De Jade is now our annual destination to catch up with friends or just with family.

Fantastic location close to the lift and a short walk to town. The facility offers morning bakery deliveries and nice steam room and sauna access. Staff were friendly and very helpful and rooms were clean and spacious. Kitchenette was well equipped for cooking at home but lacked essentials like salt and pepper.

We had a wonderful stay at Le Cristal de Jade. A great location for all amenities, well equipped apartment and very friendly staff. We look forward to returning in the future!

Awesome place

We had an outstanding stay at your hotel. Accommodations were outstanding and the front dest staff was so helpful especially Jespur (Not sure on the spelling). He guided us to several things to do around the village, gave great directions, and genuinely cared about our stay and our trip!

Walking distance to the gondola and close to town

The property was just fantastic! Amazing location with great views, located just outside Aguile du Midi cable car within a walkable distance to lots of shops and restaurants. The reception staff were just fab, very helpful, knowledgeable and couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you. Our apartment was spotless, well equipped, spacious and very comfortable. Couldn’t have asked for more. The spa facilities were excellent, very clean and inviting and a great selection of spa treatments! We had a lovely stay with our 3 year old daughter and we will be visiting again. We thoroughly recommend this property.

Fantastic stay - would absolutely return. Friendly helpful staff, the rooms were well equipped to cook and very comfortable. I used the spa everyday and can’t complain. Pool is a little cold but fine once you’re in. Gym has excellent quality equipment (although a tad warm in there!)

Great property. Awesome location with fantastic view on Mont Blanc. Enjoyable terrace. Some of the walls could be refreshed. The only drawback was the noise coming from our neighbours upstairs.

We loved our stay in Chamonix. Beautiful accommodations, great location and welcoming staff. Highly recommended.

Stayed for a week in mid-September. Lots to like, location, very friendly staff, roomy and clean apartment, and very well equipped kitchen. However, we could hear a small scratching sound in the wall above our bed from the first night. After 2 nights went to talk to staff about and we were told there is a termite (or something similar) infestation!! We were told there is nothing to do until the place is closed in November and fumigated. With all the scratching in the walls, it was quite hard to sleep or have a relaxing evening on the couch. I get that the staff couldn't do anything, but this doesn't seem like 5-star service. It would have been great if they let us know in advance or offered some kind of compensation. I would highly reconsider if you are planning on staying here before November.

The unit was well supplied and very comfortable. I hope to return for a longer stay! The location is excellent with easy access to the roads, underground parking, and a close walk into the center.

This was a beautiful property and we loved our stay. It was in a great area with easy walking access to everything in Chamonix. Our porch had a view of the mountains and the actual unit was clean, well designed and felt new. The staff were friendly and helpful and the property had a workout room we were able to use as well. We would stay here again!

The location is just great. The staff at the residence are very kind and ready to help. Big kudos to “Arnaud” at the reception, he is amazing, caring, kind and his advices were very beneficial during our stay. I will take a point away because of the WiFi. Connection isn’t that great and if you’re planning on working at night as I did, you might be disappointed. It is just a detail and I’m sure it can be fixed. We definitely gonna come to this town and this residence. Thank you guys

Loved this hotel. One of the nicer ones in Chamonix. Also love the location. Right next to the downtown area, grocery stores near by. Right next to all the main ski areas and bus stops. Highly recommend!

Incredibly happy with our stay in Chamonix with Le Cristal de Jade. My wife and I spent a week in an apartment here for our honeymoon. I couldn’t be more impressed with the staff. They continuously went out of their way to help us out during the stay. The room was just as expected and we had plenty of room for us to relax after a day of skiing. The spa was great as well. We booked a couples sports massage that was much needed after 2 weeks straight of skiing and touring in Switzerland and France. We will be back for sure. Thank you for helping make our honeymoon so special!

The property had termites and bugs in it. They skittered all night and made it impossible to sleep. With the front-desk staff gone after 8PM there was no way to get another room. I learned at check-out they knew about the infestation and put us in the room with the insects anyway. They wouldn't refund because it was 'booked through expedia'. Awful sleep, gross sleeping in a building crawling with bugs.

Great location with spacious, upscale apartments. Staff was friendly and helpful. Kitchen was pretty well equipped (knives were in poor shape but replaced next day upon request). We enjoyed the spa after a few days of long hikes. Only minor complaint was noise (voices, footsteps, etc) from adjacent (next door and above) apartments or road/service crews working directly outside of our unit.

Luxury residence, not hotel (careful no cleaning within the stay)

Overall nice stay, images are accurate as the apartments are nice, new, warm and comfortable. The hotel lacked a hotel feel as the blend or apart-hotel wasn't quite there. The resident amenities were un-available due to staffing issues and we experienced a treatment cancellation. The spa is a bonus for those who like a sauna etc. A simple e-mail explaining what would or would not be available such as bar or lounge would have prevented disappointment.

Woman at the front desk is extremely unfriendly. The front desk likes to scold guests by explaining they’re not a hotel and that we cannot expect things like fresh towels, toilet paper or room service. You’re made to feel like an unwelcome guest in a grumpy family’s home. Nice enough home; bad vibes.

Great stay, fantastic comfort and amenities . Only slight challenge is the time it took to check in with only one person trying to check in 5 plus families was a very minor irritant. Staff great though and would def stay again

Tried to be as objective as possible Pros: Compared to typical ski resorts which tend to be quite basic in style , the hotel and rooms are decorated beautifully, very ambient albeit the 1 bedroom room we stayed in was a little on the small side compared to what appears in the images. The spa area is really nice, particularly the baby pool. We had ours of fun in there. The jacuzzi tub is heated to 34degs, could do with being a little warmer. Location was ok, 5-10 mins walk to town. Cons: amenities and services are hugely lacking. Everything closes down at 8pm including reception and spa area and so no communal area to socialise in. Luckily we discovered heliopic hotel next door which has amazing communal space. We were in there every night ordering drinks and desserts. Fab kids space, book wall, games, fireplace. Whilst the hotel offered to order bakery if ordered the night before for pick up from reception, the cut off at 6.30pm was inconvenient and non lenient. The most surprising and frankly speaking ridiculous request was for guests to take out the trash outside the hotel before checking out. Also reception communication wasn’t the best, didn’t get a lot of information on where best to go with a toddler , even being sent to non suitable or closed places. A 5* hotel but 2* service and amenities. Overall we got the hang of things and hotel heliopic next door was our saving grace. Would we come back? Possibly but only if offered at a fraction of the price .

We were on a family ski trip. The hotel was beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. We loved the accommodations and we really loved the town. We will definitely return.

This was our second stay at Cristal du Jade. Out of peak season these spacious and beautiful apartments are great value. Very nice indoor pool and spa facilities are just the ticket after a day hiking in the shadow of Mont Blanc. The reception staff are very helpful and friendly, especially Philippe. Underground parking is a bonus too. Highly recommended.

We stayed in the one bedroom apartment with views of Mont Blanc. It looked like every apartment would have mountain views. The apartment was beautifully decorated and the views and balcony were amazing. The pool etc was amazing and the whole building was beautiful and clean. The apartments are located right next to the gondola and about a 5 minute walk into the very centre of Chamonix. The only downside was the deposit amount. Be aware you need to leave a 500 euro deposit, which is a huge amount of money to be without for the stay. Although, it was refunded and back in our account a few days after check out, I think it's a little excessive. Also, the WiFi wasn't great which was annoying, but not a huge inconvenience. The hotel is kind of difficult to find and access with a car when arriving, so I think better instructions are needed on how to find the hotel and which direction to come into Chamonix.

We booked a 2 bed apartment for 4 nights and it was perfect. If I had to give any negativity it would be the rooms were a bit small however with that said we will definitely book again.

Amazing stay. We picked this hotel because it was affordable and had a private bedroom. When we arrived they informed us that they had upgraded our family of 3 to a two bedroom apartment instead of a one bedroom at no additional charge. The apartment was beautiful. Right next to Aguille di Midi. Spa and pool were superb. Highlight of our trip.

Great location, excellent view of the mountains. Comfortable apt. The internet was not good and perhaps this should have been communicated to guest on arrival as they were aware that there was a problem.

Great Room with everything you could want. Spotlessly clean. Only downside was the poor internet, when it was on it was good but it kept going off. If you need it to plan your day using the internet,don't bother staying here.. The Manager (Mr Misery) just kept giving lame excuses and wasn't bothered in trying to get it sorted. We had different reasons from everyone as to why it wasn't working.

Beautiful rooms, friendly staff, great location. So nice to have a kitchen and a nice, big space. Quiet area and so close to everything. We would absolutely stay here again.

The apartment was incredible for our family of 5. Gorgeous bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen, 2 balconies! Plenty of space and nicely decorated. Location couldn’t be beat. Less than 5 minutes walk to our bus stop, base of telepherique right out our window, plenty of restaurants, bakeries and shops within walking distance. Pool facilities we fantastic. We even borrowed a fondue pot from reception to use in our apartment! Would HIGHLY recommend this place!

My favorite among favorites. This place is perfect in every way. We are already planning our next trip. The view of the alps from the pool is mesmerizing. Spa massage was very relaxing. Purchased spa products for skin care in high altitude.

Excellent place to stay with family. Excellent service!

Highly recommend, loved our apartment, great location too. Facilities top notch, kitchen is very well equipped. Bathroom is divine, hugh bath. Only issue was our apartment was overlooking the main road, noise of traffic at night and in the morning was noisy enough. But it didnt hamper our experience.

We loved the accomodation. As a family of 5 our two daughters shared a twin room and our son used the sofa bed, which was exceptionally comfortable. Our room was incredibly comfortable with an exceptional ensuite with rain shower. The outdoor terrace was fabulous and the kitchen facilities were first class ( except for our dishwasher that did not work but this was a minor issue for us as we were only there for 2 nights). Loved the pool, spa and steam room. Room was immaculate. Service at the front desk was excellent. Excellent location, highly recommend would return again.

Pretty bad experience while vacationing in Chamonix.

I stayed for two nights in an apartment (two bedrooms) with my family. The hotel is located 10 minute walk away from the train station, but it is right next to the gondola station to Aiguille du midi. They sent me an email two days before check-in to check the details of our stay, especially they wanted to make sure if I arrive before 8pm -- when the reception closes -- and told me they would give me instructions on how to check-in if I arrive after 8pm. I arrived before 8pm and the receptionist showed me the room and told me details like how to use the kitchen. The room had a great view and the facility was better than I expected. There is no restaurant, no store, no vending machine in the hotel. But they say (I didn't use any of these services) that they order the bread for breakfast, I could order grocery online then it will be delivered to the apartment, and they lend cooking devices for raclette, fondue, or waffle. The indoor heated pool was clean and well maintained. They also have kids pool (about 30cm deep?) and hot tubs. I had to check-out before the reception opens but they did the check-out procedure at the prior night so I had no problem in early check-out. I'm not sure if it is usual in the area but they came into the room and checked if there's anything broken and required me to throw out the garbage into the containers outside the building. Overall, it was a great stay and I would stay there if I visit Chamonix again.

Lovely accommodations located conveniently next to the car up to Aguille du Midi. Very nice room amenities. Lively work out facility and cool pool. While I do stack the the dishes in the dishwasher and empty the trash at home, I was surprised that it was a requirement at the hotel.

Wanderful atmosphere, the location was next to cable car, definitely I will be back again.

Fantastic apartment really well kitted out with all modern appliances. lovely helpful staff and wonderful pool and spa facilities. Location wise it’s perfect for the Aiguille du Midi being right next door but to get to Les Planards and Brevent lifts you will need the Chamonix complementary number 14 bus which stops right outside the property every 20 minutes.

Second visit to this property and we will be back again.

The property and its furnishings were all modern, lovely amenities the pool and spa area really helped after a long day on the slopes. The whole place was really lovely. Also a special mention to Philipe who was on reception. Nothing was to much trouble for him he really made us feel comfortable and looked after all our needs was very kind. He is an asset to the company.

This hotel was great! The apartment was spacious and clean and everything was of a high standard. The spa area was lovely and very welcome after a long days skiing! I would definitely come back!

I would have rated the hotel 5 stars if it hadn't been for the woodworms constantly crunching away at the wood. I admit that the hotel reception and manager were tentative of the situation, but no solution was found. I would have expected that a 5 star hotel offers something other than "We are sorry" as a solution after repeated discussions...

It’s a best apartment I have seen.I’ll go back next time.

Fabulous place we loved it. So much so we are coming back again in 6 weeks. Only one issue was our card card stopped working when we came back up from the pool in only robes. And reception had gone home. We were locked out for short time before another guest helped locate a mainantence man. Emergency numbers to include hotel staff would help in these circumstances in future. We tried the police but they laughed and said it wasn’t an emergency :)

Pros: layout of the apartment was good, beds were comfortable and kitchen contained enough plates and glasses, pool was nice (if a little cool for my liking). Cons: this is not a hotel, but a group of managed apartments.Check in times are limited, there is no servicing of the rooms or provision of supplies (we ran out of toilet paper after 5 days and were told we had to go buy some), the construction of the rooms is poor (tv and light switches on an angle, wobbly sink, woodworms in the walls), the staff on reception were unable to assist with matters such as bus times or locations or timetables (vital in Chamonix!) although they were friendly and clearly did their best. The layout of the property is annoying - to get to the pool from our room we had to go down to the basement through another building and then back up in a different lift. You are also required to have a "check" of your room before you depart to ensure you have not stolen anything. I really don't appreciate being treated like a potential thief after spending well over $500 per night.

Great location, beautiful property and great staff. My only grievance is the temp of the "hot tubs. The front desk explained they are always kept at 35 degrees celsius or 95 F.... not so "hot".

Very pleased and very impressed with this accommodation. Great communication, we arrived late and the arrangements made this no trouble at all. Accomodatation is well appointed and with the pool & spa a pleasure to stay at. For piste skiing it is necessary to take the local, free bus service to Brevent, this is the case from pretty much anywhere in Chamonix town so far as I could tell. The advantage here is that the accommodation is a 3 minute walk from Chamonix Sud bus station, the service starts here so it is relatively easy to get on and get a seat. I would recommend the property.

We travelled to Chamonix with a 3 year old and a 10 month old for the first time, and the staff at reception were so kind and helpful, - swift to help us to our apartment with our mountain of luggage, a cot and high chair were all set up in the apartment, and even window locks were available for the children's room. The apartments are comfortable and beautiful to look at but also really well thought out with plenty of living space, bathrooms and cupboard space and all that you need to prepare and cook simple meals. This was a much better option than booking a hotel room, and we'll definitely be back.

Le Cristal de Jade is stylish and ultra modern while retaining a traditionally alpine feel. The apartments are compact but beautifully designed with high end bathrooms and kitchen appliances. The reception staff are very professional and helpful. The pool and spa facilities are immaculate. Great location next to the Aiguille du Midi cable car and only a 5 min walk into central Chamonix. In short, we loved our stay and will be back!
