Friendly staff. The price was excellent and had everything we needed. The room was clean and comfortable with a comfortable bed. It was small but that didn’t bother us as we were barely there. Perfect for a quick stop over. The tiny lift was also a life saver! Lots of little restaurants around the Omonoia Square and the Omonoia metro is literally around the corner.

Location didn’t feel safe from the afternoon. Lots of homeless and drug dealers around the square but that seemed to be everywhere in Athens city. Burnt my wrist on the hot water faucet - be careful it gets hot!

A Hidden Gem in Athens – Exceptional Value and Location! I could not have asked for a better stay in Athens. Hotel Elikon was hands down the best value-for-money deal I experienced throughout all my travels in Greece. The location is unbeatable. It's very safe (I was a solo female traveler) and it sits less than 50 meters from the Omonia metro station, making it incredibly well-connected and effortless to get anywhere in the city. You are also just a short walk from the bustling Central Market and Evripidou Street, with plenty of excellent local bakeries and coffee shops right around the corner for a quick morning breakfast. My room was everything I needed after a long day of sightseeing: super clean, surprisingly modern compared to many other places I’ve rented in Greece, and remarkably quiet. The air conditioning was great which made coming back to relax a very pleasant experience. On top of that, the staff was professional, welcoming, and genuinely friendly from check-in to check-out. I will absolutely book Hotel Elikon again the next time I return to Athens!

It was good value for money, and the option to check in late was super convenient for us.

The location feels a bit sketchy with a lot of homeless people right in the area (though it gets better just one street over). The biggest issue, however, was that the housekeeper randomly walked right into our room in the morning while we were still inside sleeping. It was super uncomfortable and made us feel unsafe. We noticed she did this to several other rooms as well—the management seems so disorganized that staff don't even know which rooms are still occupied.

The gentleman receptionist in the mornings was friendly and so lovely. He made our stay super easy and held luggage till the room was ready.

We were on a girls’ trip, and the hotel is in a great location. You can take the metro within a 4 min walk, get to downtown within a 15 min walk, and find restaurants and bakeries within a 2 min walk. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean. The staff was very helpful! Totally worth the money. All of us said that if we ever come back to Athens, we would stay there again!

The only issue for some is that there are a few homeless people around the hotel area, but they mind their own business, as do we. And as a group of girls, we didn’t feel unsafe at all.

Economico, camera ampia, abbastanza sileziosa e pulita. Posizione centrale e vicina alla metro, molto comoda anche se estremamente degradata. Personale molto gentile.

Riguardo l'albergo in sé non mi è piaciuto che siamo arrivati quasi alle 16.00 e la camera non era ancora pronta. Inoltre le federe e le lenzuola, anche se pulite, avevano varie macchie che non erano venute via col lavaggio. Il problema grande può essere la zona. Nella via dell'albergo e in quelle limitrofe c'è tanto degrado, tanto sporco e puzza. Molti senzatetto tossicodipendenti intenti a drogarsi. Stamattina c'era un ragazzo praticamente in fin di vita. La zona è comoda ma può non essere adatta a tutti.

Central, accueil très professionnel et arrangeant (conseils sur le quartier et bagagerie le jour de notre départ), une personne à l'accueil 24/24, fenêtre double et clim, très propre avec une literie très confortable. Nous avions une chambre triple et étions beaucoup en balade. Nous nous y sommes très bien reposés pour notre très court séjour.

Lieu assez impersonnel et aucun espace commun (salon par exemple) où se poser autre que nos lits pour faire une pause en journée mais cela ne nous a finalement pas manqué.

This Hotel was old elegance with the welcoming feeling of home . It was a gracious family run hotel very clean with tastefully embroidered white goods.I almost forgot to say the beach was quiet and fantastic for me. I was teaching myself to swim at this beach.

I enjoyed my stay a minus point was perhaps the little barking dog. He was no real problem.

Das Hotel ist zwar klein, aber mit allem eingerichtet, was man braucht, inklusive Kühlschrank und Wasserkocher auf dem Zimmer. Sehr sauber, das Personal war sehr freundlich. Der Essensservice aufs Zimmer für Abendessen und Frühstück hat super funktioniert. Zum Monastiraki-Platz, wo die Sehenswürdigkeiten beginnen, braucht man zu Fuß nur 10-15 Minuten.

In Athen sind die Viertel in der Nähe der Akropolis und der anderen Sehenswürdigkeiten leider etwas „schwierig“, was Obdachlosigkeit, Drogenkonsum, etc. angeht. Das sollte man bedenken, wenn man hier bucht, und nicht zu empfindlich sein, wenn man abends zum Hotel zurückkommt. Wir kennen die Viertel von früheren Besuchen und waren trotzdem schockiert, in einer Seitenstraße beim Hotel jede Menge benutzte Spritzen auf dem Boden zu finden (Vorsicht mit Kindern!). Dafür kann aber das Hotel nichts. Das Hotel liegt zwar in einer Nebenstraße ohne Autoverkehr, es kann aber nachts doch recht laut werden, v.a.durch Passanten.

The apartment was very clean and well furnished. It is close to the metro station, pharmacy, bakeries and a supermarket as well. Every member of the staff was very welcoming, and when we had a problem with the a/c, they made sure to have it fixed right away. We couldn’t have asked for more!!

Unser Zimmer hat nach Urin gestunken, es war ekelhaft. Wir konnten nicht lüften da das einzige Fenster in einem Schacht war.

La ubicación era muy buena, a 15min a pie de Monastiraki. La habitación estaba limpia y tenía todo lo necesario, incluyendo un frigorífico. Disponen de sitio para dejar las maletas todo el tiempo que necesites una vez hecho el check Out

El aire acondicionado enfría muy lento y la ducha funciona regular, a veces se queda sin caudal o cambia la temperatura rápidamente.

Capisco il prezzo particolarmente basso. Però aggiusterei delle piccole cose che renderebbero il soggiorno molto più piacevole. I letto hanno le rotelle sotto, un po’ come quelli degli ospedali. Sul pianerottolo c’era una specie di vassoio come quello dei dentisti e/o, appunto, degli ospedali. Peccato perché la struttura è molto carina. Toglierei le luci bianche che rendono il tutto ancora più asettico.

とにかく立地が最高！オモニア駅から徒歩数分なのに裏通りのため思ったより静かです。ホテルの斜め前にはマイマーケットという品揃え豊富なスーパーもあり便利。お洒落なベーカリーやレストランも近く不自由しません。正午前にチェックインできたのも助かりました。シングルルームでコンパクトな部屋でしたが快適に過ごせました。バスルームの仕切りがカーテンではなくガラスだったのもよかったです。旅行最終日利用だったのでチェックアウトが12時でゆっくり準備できたのも大変助かりました。ホストはとても優しく好印象。立地の割に料金が安く便利なのでかなりオススメのホテルです。またアテネに行く際はリピートします！

The staff are super friendly. We arrived in the city early, so they let us check in as soon as the room was available, and they also stored our bags on the day we left.

It’s next to the subway station and the bus stop that take you to day trip or cruise. There is a nice bakery at the corner od the hotel. The neighborhood at the back street of the hotel isn’t nice, dark at night and some homeless people. Good bed and shower. But I did not feel any treat. Short walk to city market and Agora. Reception people are very helpful and friendly.

Unfortunately, this hotel was a big disappointment for us. Although it is advertised as being very close to the city center, we still had to walk around 15–20 minutes to get almost anywhere we wanted to visit. The biggest issue, however, was the location and the surrounding area. Both in the morning and at night, we frequently came across people who appeared to be intoxicated around the hotel. The streets also had a very strong smell of urine, which made the area quite unpleasant. Most importantly, we did not feel safe or comfortable walking around the neighborhood, especially when returning to the hotel. Overall, despite being relatively close to central Athens, the location and surroundings really affected our experience, and unfortunately, we would not choose to stay here again.

In wenigen Minuten ist man in toller Fussgängerzone mit vielen Restaurants und Blick auf Akropolis. Das Hotel war die billigste Unterkunft überhaupt, aber hat dafür alles geboten was man braucht. Das Personal super lieb und hilfsbereit.

Direkt am Platz vor dem Hotel gibt es in der Nacht einige Obdachlose.

The hotel is very close to the Omonia metro exit and within walking distance of all the sights worth visiting. The room was quite adequate. The lady in the lobby was always so helpful, thank you very much. If I come to Athens again, I would like to stay here again.

It was cheap for one night stay. It has an AC working well, a fridge, it was clean and quiet. The shop was round the corner and the metro station tak minutes away. I stayed only for the night so my imoression was ok because I needed to use it only for the sleep.

The area at night was a bit scary but I didnt have any bad experience. The only thing was the smell of cigarettes when I entered the hotel but it wasn't in my room.

Sehr zentrale Lage und sehr sauber Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, sodass man viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und auch die Metro schnell zu Fuß erreichen kann. Die Nebenstraßen rund um das Hotel sind aufgrund des Publikums etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig – dafür kann das Hotel natürlich nichts. Das Gebäude ist älter, aber die Zimmer sind sehr gepflegt und vor allem ausgesprochen sauber. Die Zimmer und auch das Badezimmer sind zwar sehr klein, für einen kurzen Aufenthalt von zwei Tagen in Athen war das für uns aber völlig ausreichend. Besonders angenehm waren die sehr bequemen Betten. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit, und wir haben uns während unseres Aufenthalts sehr wohlgefühlt. Die zentrale Lage ist für einen Athen-Aufenthalt wirklich ein großer Vorteil. Vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt in Athen! Wir können das Hotel für einen kurzen Aufenthalt auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

The place was clean and does not smell anything as I saw from previous comments. The location was perfect it was walking distance from any sites museum but at 2am one homeless person ran at me so therefore you must be a bit cautious or If you are a party person I dont know if it is safe to walk there after maybe 3am but It was totally safe before 3 am based on my observation

Bathroom was too small and I mean small small. I couldnt sit on the toilet when door was closed therefore I had to sit on the side and my leg was sticking out of the doorway. I was staying alone therefore It did not affected me that much but keep that in mind.
