Great suite and staff were great.

This is a great hotel in a business park about 25 miles outside of NYC. While we only stayed for one night on our way to NYC, this would be a great place to stay with fairly quick and easy drive to NYC. It is in a business park, so it's quiet around the hotel. It was not the normal Embassy Suites, where the rooms are built around a common area that they overlook, but that wasn't a bad thing, just different. I will say the one draw back was that I did not find the bed overly comfortable. The "fitted sheet" was not fitted and would stay stay on the bed. Room was quiet, the shower was wonderful and overall, it was a great place to stay. I'd recommend and I would stay again.

The breakfast wasn’t up to expectations! Nice to have an egg chef but fruit options weren’t very good, and pastries looked to be commercial vs from a bakery. No fan in the bathroom

We were chased out by the staff name, Myesha. It was an awful and unpleasant. I wanna write an official complaint on the staff, Myesha. She was rude, unprofessional, and bullied us.

The room was clean and a good size. Although I didn't utilize the facilities, I applied the fact that they were available. The location was ideal. It was close to Rt 78 and 22.

Hotel is clean and nice. Room was nice and clean. Do NOT expect any daily refills to your room essentials and features. I stayed for 3 nights and my coffee and additions were never refilled. When I reach out to the front desk - I get “you can come get it yourself” reply. NO THANK YOU! Diamond status with Hilton is like no Status with Hilton!

The breakfast buffet is great. We had free drinks on arrival. The location is good for reaching Watchung, Newark/wider New Jersey, and the City, although you will need to make transport arrangements. The rooms were spacious and very well equipped. The restaurant (Grain & Cane) and café (Starbucks) attached to the hotel made the overall package extremely good. The hotel has a gym (not used) and a pool, which was totally fine. It seems most suited to business stop-offs, but using it as a holiday hotel for visiting and events worked very well for us. It delivered all we could have hoped for. This hotel was a perfect complement to our trip.

Not much to complain about. The sofa bed in our suite had seen better days, but it was comfortable. I did not have any cause to complain to staff at the hotel.

After booking a room with a guaranteed 4:00 PM check-in, I was left without access to my room during critical work hours, significantly disrupting my day. What is most frustrating is that neither company was willing to offer a reasonable accommodation or reimburse the $301 charge for a room I was ultimately unable to use as intended. Rather than taking responsibility or attempting to resolve the situation, both companies dismissed what I believe was a very reasonable request. Over the years, we have consistently recommended Embassy Suites and Hilton properties to our family, friends, and colleagues. Unfortunately, this experience has completely changed our perception. Customer service and loyalty no longer seem to be valued, and we will no longer be recommending either Embassy Suites or Booking.com based on this experience

This felt more like a stay at the holiday inn. Let’s go down the list of things that were just unacceptable. 1. Every time we walked back into the hotel, we received stares & glares from the front staff. As if they didn’t think we belonged at that hotel. 2. The room was filthy. The floors, the couch, the countertops, the rim/edge of the shower/bathroom. I dropped the hand soap on the floor in the bathroom, picked it up, & it was covered in dirt & dust. 3. There was no additional toilet tissue, no paper towels, no trash bags for the trash cans, the phone in the living room didn’t work, the mini light in the bathroom didn’t work & also wouldn’t pull out because it was stuck behind the mirror. Our family of 5 only had 3 sets of towels/wash cloths our first night & when we requested more they wouldn’t bring them. So we had to wait until the next morning. When we requested more the next day, they still wouldn’t bring them, so my husband just walked down to get them. 4. They allow smoking right at the entrance of the hotel, so when we arrived & were unloading all we could smell was smoke. Same thing when we were leaving. It wasn’t the worst stay of my life, but definitely not a hotel I’ll be staying at again.

The Embassy Suites was a great place to stay. The room was spacious and well appointed. The atmosphere was sleek and inviting. The location was ideal for this trip. The included breakfast was delicious, really liked the 'Make Your Own' Omelet bar. The room was immaculate. I highly recommend staying here.

Breakfast was served later than anticipated. Breakfast and coffee weren’t available until 7:00am. Our family and several in our group had to leave by 7:00am and were unable to utilize this amenity. Also, the room only had 3 bath towels for 4 guests.

We stay here once a year when in the area to visit family. We usually get two premium rooms. We have noticed a decline in the rooms over time and feel they need to be updated. The furniture is the same as it was the first time we stayed here 7 years ago and somewhat worn. The wallpaper seemed dirty in the bathroom. The rug is dark so it’s hard to tell if it’s clean but it looks oldish. We generally like the hotel and find it convenient, so please corporate powers-that-be, put this property on the renovation/update list so I can come back next year and give it a five star rating instead of three.

The rooms could be cleaner. The floors of two rooms were filthy (white socks😩) and the doors had food stains/handprints and weren’t clean. The hallways and common areas were clean

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Embassy Suites this past Thanksgiving weekend and I had a horrible experience. The hotel looks nice in the lobby but the rooms are unsanitary. The sofa in the little living room had dirty stains on the seat cushions and the pillows had some sort of white stains on them as well. The worst part of this stay was being bit by bedbugs and waking up to one on my pillow!!! I sent an email to the so called front desk manager, Sara Kim, including pictures and she has yet to respond to me. I informed the front desk upon my departure, sent Sara Kim an email, and called the hotel to speak to her 4 times and she was never available. I finally called corporate to have this matter escalated and also sent them an email with pictures. I was told that "pest matters" are sent to their insurance company (CNA Insurance), leaving me to believe they're used to having pests in their rooms. Anyhow, we were fully refunded for our stay but I am so disappointed in this establishment because no one ever reached out to me to check in on my well being. With the amount of money this hotel charges, they should be better with cleanliness but they do NOT care at all about their guests, they just want money to stay in those disgusting rooms. What they need to do is stop allowing pets to stay in rooms on all of the floors. There should be a dedicated floor for people and their dogs. There are quite a few people who are severely allergic to pet dander/hair and cannot be in an area that dogs were in, especially in rooms that aren't cleaned and have bed bugs. Stay here if you want but you may just wake up with an unwanted guest in your bed with you! Guest beware!!

I used a third party booking agent for reservations for 2 rooms. The staff at check-in initially said there was only one reservation. It took almost 30 mins to get it straight. Then the night before check-out I stopped by the desk to be sure everything was straight with the bill for check-out in the morning, as we were leaving at 6 am and had a tight timeline. It took another 30 mins of conversation to get things straight. Very disappointed with this part of the stay. Facilities were fine.

Very nice, clean, quiet and comfortable room. Breakfast was great, Danell at the front desk was the highlight of the stay... A+ customer service unlike her counterpart the night before. Will definitely stay again!!

Gran hotel

I do NOT recommend booking this hotel if you are traveling with someone, no matter how large the room. Their rooms have a “barn door” for the bathroom, so not only does it not actually close or seal, it is not the correct size to fully cover the door. It leads to the bedroom where you can see and hear absolutely everything going on. We were fortunate to have checked in before the rest of the wedding guests and were able to be switched to one of a handful of rooms that had a closable door. That being said, NONE of the doors lock — not the bedroom, not the bathroom. This is one of two reasons we would not stay here again. The second reason I wouldn’t stay here again is the day we were checking out, we were running a few minutes late because the wedding was the night before. At 10:57am, even with a “do not disturb” on the door so we could hurry up and get out, housekeeping starts pounding on the door. I could understand if it was 11:30am or something. It felt stingy. I travel anywhere between 10 and 20 times a year and it’s just unacceptable. The Crown Jewels of the hotel are both the front desk and the breakfast. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful, and prompt with any questions or issues. The breakfast was elaborate, especially the omelette station, and the staff was lovely. If you are a Starbucks person, the atmospheric Starbucks in the hotel is a huge plus. It was very cozy looking, more like the upscale ones you see in the city. Back to the accommodations: The couch that pulls out is not that comfortable, but the beds and pillows were great. The Google cast (where you cast directly from your phone to the TV) was not working. I’ve used it in other hotels without issue so I’m pretty clear on the process and there’s was not in good shape. The covers on the box springs were extremely dusty, especially near the headboard, so not great for people with allergies or asthma. We stayed for a wedding and the shuttle they hired had the perfect spot to pull up so we could board comfortably, it was a very good experience. The coffee was also great and not like other hotels were it’s acidic or watery. I also really enjoyed the tea selection and that they used real name brand sweetness instead of generic ones.

We stayed here two nights for a wedding that was in the hotel. Location is good, right off the highway, nice business park to walk in the mornings. The hotel seems newer, but the rooms didn't feel well kept and needed a deep cleaning. Lots of wear and tear to be seen that didn't warrant the nightly cost. Broken base boards, dirty furniture, absolutely terrible bedding and pillows. We went to Walmart and bought our own. The front desk was busy, but welcoming. They do the happy hour, and you get drink coupons. The Bartender was so confused when I ordered certain things and kept telling us we couldn't use them together. I paid for drinks, so it was just strange. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but there is an onsite option, they also have a very large Starbucks on property. This is convenient as everything else would be drivable to eat off property. I just get the feeling that this place is constantly full due to the events, so people stay here for the convenience, not the quality of the hotel to get return guests. If I had to stay in this area again, I wouldn't return.

Our experience was really unpleasant and not what we expected from a hotel with such a high rating and good reputation. As soon as we arrived at check-in, no one helped us get any information. After going up to our room and failing to connect to the internet, I went back down to the reception, and only then was I told that I needed to enter a coupon code to get free internet. Why did I have to struggle with the internet connection for half an hour before being told that? We went to have a drink at the hotel bar, and in the middle of our drink, two of our children came over to talk to us for a moment before heading to the pool. The bartender immediately told them they couldn’t stand by the bar and that if we wanted, we could move to a table (which was literally one meter behind us). They only spoke to us for 30 seconds… It was unclear, but we didn’t want to argue. Later, when we returned to the room, we discovered there were only three towels, even though the reservation was for five people. We called to request more, and they brought two additional ones. Only then did we notice there was no blanket either. We called again, and they brought one. We opened the sofa bed in the living room and saw that the sheets were used and dirty. Once again, we had to call and ask for clean sheets and wait a long time for them to arrive. Only then did we realize there were no pillows either, but by then we were too exhausted to call again. Every time we called reception, we felt like we were the ones doing something wrong, as if we were bothering them by asking for things that should have been in the room in the first place. Another thing that really bothered us—and we’ve never seen this in a hotel before—is that the bathroom door facing the bedroom was a sliding door that, when closed, still left a gap of at least 10 cm open. There was no privacy at all; you could see the person inside. We are a family of five, and our older kids didn’t even agree to use it and went to the lobby

First night bathroom looked like it was not cleaned, there were long strands of hair on the floor. The bathroom corners was not properly swept. Hiwever, housekeeping was sent in the morning to clean. On the 3rd day, we figured out why there were strands of hair, they used the same cleaner from someone else bathrokm to clean ours, so transfer of dirt from one room to the other. Aside of this, room was fine and breakfast was great.

Our stay was excellent, and the breakfast fine, but the food space was small and nothing was marked/identified. Property was lovely, but huge construction area adjoining it. It did not affect our stay, just not aesthetically pleasing coming in and out. The area in general is very pretty.
