La Bougainvillea Hotel and Villas

We just returned from a 5 night visit to La Bougainvillea. From the time we arrived to the moment we left, it was just spectacular. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable-they truly have the most kind and hospitable staff. The resort is small so never feels crowded. It overlooks the most beautiful stretch of sugary pinkish white sand with direct beach access. It also has a beautiful infinity pool that we took advantage of (and the poolside drink service :)) It is also only about 10 minutes from Governor’s Harbor, if you need to go into town for anything. It is a little over an hour from the Gene’s Bay dock/preachers cave/Blue hole. The drive is easy though and the landscape is just stunning-and the amentities of the hotel make the drive well worth it!! We booked a Queen Garden room and it was perfect for my family of 4 (2 kids ages 17 and 10). The bed was heavenly, and I slept like a baby every night. The mattress was so comfortable and the sheets were a cool, crisp cotton-starched to perfection. I have to give props to the house cleaning staff because not only are the bed immaculately everyday. The room was also large enough that we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other which was nice! There is a mini-fridge and coffee maker in the room and the shower was nice and large. The room also felt light and airy. The restaurant was delicious and we ate there quite a bit. The service was great and I really appreciated that they were so conscious of my daughter’s peanut allergy and all of the servers took note of that at all of the meals. I had considered other hotels on the island , but so glad I ended up with LaBougainvillea. It is truly a gem!

Exceptional service. Very welcoming and friendly manager Sanom went above and beyond - even sent help for us when our rental car broke down on way to hotel. Also Daniella our bartender was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here towards the end of our stay at Eleuthera. Mr. Sonam, Terez, and team took utmost care of us, even planning an impromptu birthday celebration for my dad's birthday with no notice. The lunch there was wonderful, they prepared dishes not on the menu to cater to dietary needs for some people in our group. It's a small boutique hotel so never overcrowded - the hotel beach was as good as private and they had set up everything for us outside to enjoy it. They provided us with snorkels and kayaks, etc. All in all great experience!

One of the most beautiful sites and accomodations that anyone can ask for. The services were amazing and there was not one bad experience. The beach is stellar and the pool is magnificent. Absolutely amazing!

Our evening started out great. We ordered drinks and appetizers. The appetizers were great, we had plantain and grouper and shrimp ceviche. After that, it went down hill. We were the last to be served our dinner. The waitress came to our table and told us the “chef” prepared the nachos with chicken instead of beef and that was the delay. The nachos consisted of Tostitos with lots of cheese and a little bit of beef. My husband ordered the quesadilla without black beans, it came with black beans. The others on two orders were the bowls. Two dried pieces of dark meat with little ramekins of corn, beans, and salsa. The waitress or chef did not apologize for the delay in our food and it was mediocre at best. Won’t go back.

Absolutely a wonderful relaxed Experiance. Entire staff was very friendly. I had the best massage I have ever had in my life and I have had many many all over . The beach is fantastic, you feel you're on a deserted island. I 100% would go back. I have to say we dined out everywhere but the food was fabulous at their restaurant. The fish tacos were outstanding.

We had an unexpectedly wonderful experience at this resort! The property, the people, the amenities, and the location were all on point. Qui, the general manager, went above and beyond to accommodate us and follow through on some special requests. I highly recommend this property!

I had such a wonderful experience thanks to our server, Precious! From the moment we were seated, she made us feel welcome and taken care of. She was attentive without being overbearing, always checking in at just the right times. The service was fast, friendly, and professional. She also was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations that made our appetizers even better. It’s rare to find someone who makes the whole lunch experience so seamless and enjoyable. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again I’ll be asking for Precious again! Highly recommend!

Very nice and friendly staff

The GM, Que Thompson was simply amazing. She was warm, friendly, very helpful, professional, efficient and went over and above to make us feel at home. And the Manager (Sonam) and the rest of the staff were amazing too. With only 1 restaurant on the property, and for a 5 night stay, the menu got tiring. And not many other restaurants close by. Otherwise a great experience at La Boug.

Outstanding property. Staff was always present and available to assist. Property is fantastic, miles of beautiful beach with nearly nobody around. There is never disturbance, anywhere. Perfect place where to enjoy quietness and relax. Room was spacious and very clean. Very recommended

La Bougainvillea was an excellent choice for my fiance and me to enjoy my birthday. It is centrally located on the island, which worked great for us because we have family in the South and spent time there as well as in the North. The grounds are secluded and private. We drove up a hill to reach the property. We were surprised to see an EV charging station on-site; immediate kudos for that, as we believe electric vehicles on the island are the future. Anyway, the lobby area is quaint and quiet. We were greeted by Q, who is a wonderful lady. She is the general manager, and she made us feel welcome immediately. She is very warm and personable. The infinity pool is beautiful, the bar and restaurant are beachfront, and the service was great. We stayed in an ocean-view room, which was very romantic. It is a room where couples can connect. The shower is in the room but in a very aesthetically pleasing position. There's no TV in this room, but watching your partner shower can be entertaining and interactive enough. :) My favorite experience by far was the beach. The sand was soft and untouched, the water was so blue and beautiful, and we had the beach to ourselves for hours. If you want to feel like you're on a secluded island for real, then this is the place for you. The peace and serenity was unmatched. The food was delicious, too. It was a tad expensive, like $34 for a burger, BUT it was tasty and fresh. Book your stay with La Bougainvillea; you will love it!

Me and my husband had an incredible time. I also want to preface this review that we both also work in the hospitality/tourism industry. While we loved the property, the restaurant, the beach, the location, and the massage the staff was the absolute best and were the ones that brought all together. This team took pride in their work, were kind and just crushed the guest service piece. Huge shout outs to the leadership team, the front desk, the F&B team, the spa Team, housekeeping and maintenance. This people were awesome and made the trip!

Lovely accommodating staff set the vibe for the whole resort. Low key, helpful and attentive. Restaurant had a varied and delicious menu. The only negative would be the music was always on and carried to our room.

This place is amazing! It is absolutely beautiful and quite stunning! The pics online don’t do it justice! It was very clean the rooms were perfectly appointed and the food and service was all so very excellent! I had a fabulous massage by Wilmede and highly recommend her! Chef Moe and her staff are great! Rosey, Shanti, Martin, etc were all so delightful and fun to be around and they all helped me celebrate my birthday with delicious food, awesome fruity cocktails and great conversation! Que and Sonam made us feel so very welcome and I just can’t wait to go back! Perfect setting for everyone with a great pool and easy beach access!

Small boutique hotel. Perfect spot to unwind and relax

The service and facilities were not at all what one should receive for the cost paid. Our family had two adjacent rooms and we both intermittently ran out of hot water: apparently there was only one small hot water tank for the two rooms. Our smart locks to access our remove contained easily figured out combinations. We had to often remind room service to renew all bath and hand towels, and after the first day they did not replenish coffee cups or pods. Recreational facilities such as kayaks and stand up paddle board were damaged and in very poor condition. The restaurant food and room bedding, etc. were quite acceptable, however overall this was poor value for your money. I would not recommend.

Location is 10/10 the food was 8/10 our waitress Precious was the best very informative and mannerly made us feel super comfortable I will definitely return again some day!! Eleuthera is a beautiful place and so peaceful but the most important is the great people ❤️

Went down to this wonderful place down in the Bahamas and met a young lady by the name precious wow what’s good time I would say “what a time to be alive”made me felt like I was back home in Alabama those drink were gad damn good wish I could carry back home a bahama mama

Very nice hotel and nice location. 1+ hour away from the main airport but we'll worth the drive. Great fresh food. Great service. Nice rooms. Restaurant has a good menu. Massage tech is great. Totally satisfied the entire week. I recommend highly.

Facilities so beautiful, peaceful and impeccably clean. staff were all amazing... Terese, JoJo, Helena, Martin, Justin... all top notch.. friendly, helpful and professional! We had one little issue that our bathroom window wouldnt open, and it was fixed in an instant after asking. It was quiet as we were in early November, but would be such a beautiful place to celebrate a wedding, special occasion or just to get away Gorgeous beach that goes on forever and beautiful pink sunsets. We loved our stay at this little treasure!!

We went in early November just one week after they opened for the season. The grounds and beach are stunning. All of the staff were extremely helpful, too. My sisters and I enjoyed two dinners on sight and breakfast each morning. I highly recommend the lobster curry. I also had the best massage on the beach from Wilmeade. Seriously, the best one I’ve ever had! Thank you to Mo and her team!

This is paradise. So, don't let the drive from the airport deter you from coming here. It's an hour drive but well worth it. The road to the resort, well, the washed away road is a little bumpy and full of holes. But again, don't let that fool you. This place is Beautiful. The views are breathtaking. On a small hill overlooking the Cristal blue waters of the Bahamas. The beach below is a pretty pink sand beach. Pristine. Not a single footprint on it until we walked on it. The place is painted white and reflex nicely on a sunny day. The lobby is cute. Everything looks new. Terez took great care of us. She showed us around the property and introduced us to the staff, including the bar staff. They greeted us with a Bahama Mama upon arrival. Nice touch. She then showed us to our room. A garden view room, which was super nice. The king size bed room had plenty of space for all of our stuff. Closets are huge. Fridge and coffee makers were in the room. The bathroom was a favorite. You got to see it to appreciate the beauty. The local craftsmanship is awesome. Everything about this place was very classy. Let's talk food. The restaurant services great food. Our first night, we had the grouper with rice and veggies. The dish was very fresh. Great taste and flavor. Earlier,I had the fish fingers, and that was great. I can see why people come here for weddings and honeymoon. There were people here every night from around the island to eat and play. We met some folks that have come here for dinner 3 times in a week and drove from pretty far away. So the food is good, I guess. LOL. Anyway, I love this place and I will be back, for sure. Everyone is super nice. Accommodations are great. Food is excellent.

This is just a review for the restaurant of the resort, not the resort itself. The restaurant is nice, with a well-organized open kitchen. Good-quality dishes, attentive and courteous service. This is the island’s restaurant where we spent the most. However, it deserves our return.

Restaurant only review. Beautiful setting and very attentive staff. Food was excellent. We enjoyed several of their pasta dishes and we plan to return this trip. Nice wine and beer selection. We dined “inside” under cover with wonderful ocean views.

What an incredible place to enjoy a great dinner. We both had fresh fish and it was incredible. The view is unreal, overlooking the water. One of the best meals and service we had in Eleuthera. This place is a must. The staff was very attentive. The road in is a bit bumpy but quite an adventure. This is a must visit while on the island

This is an exceptional small hotel/resort for couples. The on site hotel-style rooms are spacious and clean, incredibly near to the beach, pool and restaurant/bar. There are so many wonderful things to do and see on Eleuthera, but one could definitely remain at La Bougainvillea the entire time. That said, this is a great location on the island. Special thanks to Martin at the bar for helping make the vacation especially fun.

Lovely boutique hotel with a great water view. Room was small, but well appointed (no phone!) Bed was comfy and shower great (obviously newly refurbished). Great infinity pool with nearby bar. Food was good -- the staff went out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. Only prob was that it took over an hr. from the airport and an arranged shuttle would have been nice (as well as a car to go to the Caribbean-side beach).

Paradise Found! We had a 50th birthday celebration for two people in our group of 26. We spent months searching for a property that would not be over commercialized, nor overcrowded in the Caribbean, and by a stroke of luck, we happened upon la Bougainvillea. Go, go, go! From our first contact with rental agent (VRBO) Matthew to every interaction after- AMAZING service. What a hidden gem! The pictures online do not do this property justice. From the moment we arrived, we were awestruck by the beauty of the property itself, the amazing beach that we had to ourselves literally for the entire week. The entire staff from the restaurant to the hotel, to housekeeping, to Wilmide the massage therapist, were incredible. Tyler, who was our main contact at the hotel, was extremely patient, answered our daily questions, even made a point to call me to clarify information. He helped us to set up a surprise bonfire on the beach, even arranged for Maintenance to carry down a very heavy table so we could play flip cup on the beach as well! Housekeeping (Kenly) did a great job, very lovely service, even placing Prosecco and rose petals on the beds of the two bday boys’ rooms! Terez also provided very personalized service at the hotel for anything we needed in Tyler’s absence. Kia and Moe were incredible to help arrange bottles of rum we gifted our guests, and arranged for two huge dinner parties that were very organized for such a large amount of orders. The entire restaurant staff (Nae, Shanti, Justin) were extremely accommodating. Special shout out to Rosie, who had never waited on a group as large as ours, and did a phenomenal job! The food at the restaurant was delicious, I would only recommend ordering extra sauce because it was so good and sometimes there was a thin amount. Curry- delish! Make sure to double check the price of bottles of wine, because some we ordered at a lower price were not available, and we were not made aware of price diff until after the fact. Cocktails were delicious, we highly recommend the restaurant for any meal. And the view- perfect!!! Basically- what ever we requested, they made happen! We also secured the six bedroom house and three cottages through VRBO that are a part of the property as well. Amazing views from every accommodation- everything was so clean, well-managed and because of the incredible work the entire hotel staff provided, we had a literal flawless experience the entire week. Our guests said this was one of the prettiest places they had ever been, and they are very well traveled. Last- avoid flying American Airlines. Three couples out of the 13 on the trip ended up with very stressful experiences, with one couple being bumped from a flight that even had empty seats due to weight issues from cargo. Several had to fly on Delta and Delta was amazing and there were no issues with their flights. We asked all 13 couples if they would ever go back to this specific property, and to the island itself, and the resounding answer was yes, yes, and yes!

Pure Bliss!!! When asked how was my vacation and stay at La Bouganvilla. The property, the staff and service from checkin by Tyler first impression was calm and easy going...we felt right at home. A few staff members that deserve accolade indeed are Tyler, Justin , Eugene,Precious and Mo. Each of these staff members provided something unique ,and a personal touch of hospitality that made my birthday getaway wonderful. The food, the beach, the room...WELL DONE Bouganvilla!!!

This place was amazing. I question any negative reviews. This place is quaint, cute and has impeccable service. We stayed here for 3 nights and the beds and pillows are so comfy. They have a generator in case the electricity goes out which is convenient. The bar has amazing mojitos, the conch fritters were the best ever, and Justin made me a phenomenal dry cappuccino for breakfast. I also got a massage on the beach which was amazing. They have cute handmade bags in the main area as well. Seriously loved every moment here. The road is bumpy to get there but we rented a small SUV and it wasn’t a big deal. I love that the beach and hotel are so quiet. If you are looking for a party atmosphere, this isn't for you. Perfect couples trip! Tips: The sand flys are bad but this is everywhere. They are at their worst at dusk and dawn. No walks on the beach at nights and be careful about laying out on chairs in the evening. Wear bug spray all the time. The hotel shared what works best and I bought some at the local grocery store. It smells good as well. The location of this hotel is perfect, and the beach is phenomenal. I loved every moment of our stay.

Lovely stay at La Bougainvillea in the last week of November. Every member of staff was so friendly and happy and the service was excellent throughout. We were given a warm welcome tour and shown to our room. We were in room 10 which looks out onto the garden/pool area and you can see the sea as well. Would definitely recommend a room that looks out this way, waking up and seeing the ocean every morning was bliss. The hotel itself is small and charming but with everything you need, at times it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves as it wasn't that busy! We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and everything was excellent, it's homestyle cooking but done well and everything tasted delicious. I had one of the best steaks I've ever had, whatever seasoning they used was amazing. The beach is stunning, you can walk for miles and not see another person, just take your towel down, find a secluded spot and enjoy. We spent a lot of time in the ocean and enjoyed being in the clear blue waters! Yes there are bugs here in the evening, it's normal in places like this, just take strong repellant and you'll be fine, we got a few bites but it definitely didn't detract from our experience of what is a little slice of paradise in the Bahamas. Would definitely return, thank you for a wonderful stay!

We loved our stay at La Bougainvillea Hotel. Perfect accommodations. The staff is lovely and friendly. We had everything we needed. The food was absolutely delicious. We rented a car and tried other restaurants. We were consistently impressed with the delicious specials and cuisine right there on the property. And ... the beach. We basically had a perfect oasis to ourselves for a week. Absolutely perfect and beautiful. We'll be back.

I went to dinner with my family on September 6th and everything was perfect. We had the most amazing waiter, Christano Delancy! He was the most friendliest and made sure everyone was satisfied. I mean he didn’t miss a beat! Even though you can tell he was quite busy, he made sure took his time with everyone to ensure we enjoyed our dinner! Highly recommend!

Beautiful place and the food is amazing

2 years ago we came for lunch and didn't have the best time, mainly because of service. The manager put this right immediately, and invited us back. We then had a lovely lunch and enjoyed the whole ambience of the place. 2 years later, we have just spent 2 fantastic evenings here enjoying dinner and sunsets on the beach. The service throughout both dinners from luscious was top notch (friendly, numerous and attentive). we had great food and enjoyed incredible sunsets from the beach. There is a beautiful pool too to use, and the bar service is also excellent. We can't recommend this place highly enough and it will always be on our list when we visit eleuthera again in the future.

The views/ beach are amazing. The food and service at restaurant was 10/10. The room was clean and spacious. All of the staff were super friendly! We will definitely be back.

Went for dinner with a group of friends for a wedding. The food was ok the service was excellent and the time out of the kitchen was really good the only problem was when I got the bill and they charged for water that wasn't ordered $10 didn't even drink it but they still made us pay just saying look out for the trickery

Small boutique hotel with a cool pool, great restaurant, &right on an amazing beach.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel was wonderful and the restaurant was delicious. The staff was very pleasant to deal with. My only regret was that we did not have an ocean front view, but other than that I would definitely recommend this place, and hopefully we will go back.

This resort was wonderful and worth the extra travel to get there! We loved that it was so private and small. We were there in the off season and were lucky enough to have only 1 other couple there for a majority of the time. The food and drinks were delicious with great selection. Our room was cozy and comfortable. The staff was incredible, from being greeted by Lewis and all of the recommendations that he gave us for while we were on the island to all of the wonderful service given to us by Ziggy during our meals. The resort was beautiful with lots of place to lounge and the beach and pool were also fantastic.

This location is amazing! The hotwl is absolutely gorgeous and the view is second to none. The beach is as good as you can get, barely makes it worth leaving the place for any other attraction on the island. It's only a few minutes drive from town and other restaurants, but the one on site is great. Staff was super nice and rooms, pool and amenities were just perfect!

The location was beautiful and the food was incredible. Lucious, Shawn and Tenille made us feel at home and welcome. The staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Bougainvillaea good as advertised. But getting to Eleuthera — beware Pineapple Air, cancelled flight no compensation, schedules are approximations, aircraft — expect baling wire and duct tape.

The property is pretty and secluded. Food and beverage staff are friendly and helpful. Massage on beach was great. Biggest issue is that this property has no generator! We had no power and water (for nearly 2 days) and no Wi-Fi for nearly 4 days. Up the street other places were working fine that had planned appropriately. Property needs a generator and a sense of urgency / concern for this. Could not contact family members unless we left the property.

This property is as beautiful as the pictures show. My only gripe would be the cost of food and beverages. Otherwise, the property delivers a relaxing, private getaway. Perfect for honeymooners. Shout out the the staff...Julian, Tenille, Ziggy, Kia, JoJo, Chris and all those behind the scenes who helps make for an amazing birthday celebration. This property is picturesque, quiet, and relaxing! I look forward to returning soon.

Our stay here was amazing. The beach and water is some of the prettiest I’ve seen. The hotel is beautiful. The staff was amazing, especially Kia, Christopher, Jo Jo and Chris. The lady chef was fantastic. The General manager, Jillian and the concierge Tannile (not sure of spelling) made sure we were well taken care of. Can’t wait to go back.

We spent a perfect week at La Bougainvillea. The staff was extremely attentive and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Even with a tropical storm coming, they made sure we were comfortable and safe. The beach is pure perfection. Not another person in sight. We had miles and miles of turquoise waters all to ourselves. The pool is the perfect way to end the day, along with a cold cocktail from the bar. The Boathouse was a lovely villa with a full kitchen just a few steps away from the beach. Highly recommend!

Everything was perfect including the food. Location couldn’t have been better and there was never a hint of an issue.

La Bougainvillea is a nice place to stay, and it seems like it's on a good path but it's not as polished as it should be for the price. On the positive side, this hotel has a beautiful beach, a pool, a fashionably designed lounge with games, a popular (if overpriced) restaurant, etc. The service is extremely friendly too, but not necessarily super thoughtful - for example, you might ask someone on staff where to find a beach towel and they'll say, "They're usually over there but they seem to have run out" and then walk away without actually helping you find a towel. It's a small thing but it's emblematic of a gap relative to most 4-star hotels that shows up in other places too, e.g. rickety fixtures, wifi that doesn't reach the rooms, a $30 fish wrap that's drenched in sauce and doesn't have enough fish in it to justify the price. Again, all small things, which may well improve with experience and a little more attention to detail. For a new hotel, it's off to a good start, could easily be a great hotel in a year or so.

We couldn't have picked a better place to take a much needed couples vacay ! We have traveled around to many of the islands . In our opinion, nothing beats Eleuthera ! La Bougainvilla is one of the nicest boutique resorts out there ! The beach is breathtaking , water is as clear as glass. The food at the resort was scrumptious ! We never had to leave ! Tom and staff were very accommodating to our needs. We will definitely be returning ! Love this place !

Beautiful hotel. Owner was on hand all the time and very attentive and welcoming as was the rest of the staff. The hotel was amazingly 10 footsteps from a stunning beach. Beautiful pool. Delicious restaurant and drinks, though a bit pricey and limited options but standard for the island. This is a good place to stay if you just want to relax and not have to be on the go for a few days. Fly into Governor's Harbor airport, as the North Eleuthera airport is over an hour away. Also could be good to rent a car $80 a day and explore the island. They bring the rental to the hotel for you.

My husband and I rent out two properties on VRBO so we have very high standards. That said, La Bougainvillea exceeded all our expectations! We were greeted with Bahama Mamas by the most accommodating and gracious staff EVER!! Everything was absolutely perfect! I just can't say enough about this lovely place. The photos don't even do it justice. We'll definitely be back!

Oh my goodness if I could give this hotel a 100 starts I would do! It is simply perfect. Our room was large spacious and with a fabulously comfortable bed we overlooked the ocean. Every detail was taken care of and as the staff said to us they wanted us to feel at home and we did. Lovely outdoor space to sit and relax tables and chair as well as a large day bed. Fantastic infinity swimming pool and super loungers then further loungers over looking the sea. A few seconds walk to the beach which again is simply stunning and unspoilt. The food is exceptional. Excellent choice and their French chef always has daily specialties. I honestly cannot fault this hotel and cannot recommend it highly enough. I have to thank Thomas (owner) and Kezang (manager) for giving us the most perfectstay in paradise.

With no reservation or enticement i can honestly state it was one of the most magical and beautiful place we have ever been to. It was my 10 year anniversay and i wanted it to be a special moment that my wife and children would never forget. The obvious was the beautiful blue relaxing water and island but it was much more the hospitlity and kindnesss shown by hotel manager Sofie and owner Tomas and their lovely staff Chris and Chef Mario showed us was at times embarassing. Sofie lent my wife a beautiful dress on our day and got us a pastor. Tomas had his beautiful staff decorate and coordinate the event with music and flowers (thank you Chris) and not on that day but everyday Chef Marios concern for our two young children's well being always preparing the most delicious meals to satisfy-our familys needs. They were witnesses to our10 year anniversary making them family as the owner Tomas and his staff did not have to show this kindness and care but he did(Tomas even got dressed up for the event blazer and all) they laughed and cried with us during such a beautiful moment that they will always be near and dear in my heart and can not wait to go back and we will. I thank them for going above and beyond the monetary exchange and make us feel so welcome ( Sofie even got us a tour guide Derek that became a friend and led the religious serice during the reneviewing of our wedding vows) the island is heaven on earth but the staff are simply angels .

A lovely facility in paradise located on one of the most beautiful beaches with gorgeous water. Eleuthra is not for everybody, as it is difficult to get there, and it is a path less traveled with fewer amenities. It is not a great venue for small children or restless teens. For the adventurous adult that wishes to escape everyday life in picturesque surroundings, this place is terrific.

We weren't lucky with the weather, but the rest of the stay in Bougainvillea was magic. Super friendly staf, excellent room, excellent facilities, good food. Sophie's (the manager) hospitality and warm was welcome can not be beaten. We had a great time.

La Bougainvillea is a great place to stay. If you are looking for a peaceful vacation this is an excellent option. The hotel is beautiful & clean, the staff is great and we really like Tom, the owner. Tom even invited us to go with him and his friend Timothy to the Jazz Fest that was going on during our stay and we had a great time! The staff is also very knowledgeable about the area and helped us get a rental car. We would definitely stay at La Bourgainvillea again. Tom and staff thank you for everything we had a great time in Eleuthera!

This boutique was everything I expected and more! Simply beautiful. The beach was private and so clean. Thanks to the staff for everything.

This was one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen and we had it all to ourselves! The wall of our room opened to a gorgeous beach view and the sound of the ocean. Restaurant was consistently delicious and staff was friendly and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle and experience the true Eleuthera. Note: if you stay here you MUST rent a car!!

My daughters and I were here for spring break and were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the resort grounds, infinity pool, outdoor bar, adjacent beach just steps away, and rooms were! Tom, Sophie, and their staff were so helpful in helping us with our sightseeing goal to find the best nearby beaches. And their cocktails and dinners were amazing - special thanks to their wonderful chef. We hope to come back soon!

Tom and his staff were very cordial, the location gorgeous, the room clean and comfortable, and the food excellent. The road heading up to the hotel and the landscaping need a lot of work (driving on the road is an adventure itself!). A few added touches (e.g., water in the lobby, a coffee maker in the room, some lotion in the bathroom, a wastebasket in the room) would bring up the level, but all in all we had a great time.

The staff and facilities at Labogainvillea were top notch! They were very friendly to us and the rooms were nice. We hope to return next year! Bill and Susan

La Bougainvillea was a random choice, but we are so happy we chose to stay there. It is a relatively new venture with an eye for detail and and an engaging staff. The location is mid-point on Eleuthera and the beach is absolutely spectacular. If you are looking to get off the grid and unwind, this is the spot. We'd start each morning with a walk along the 2 mile beach and swim. The sand is amazing...clean, like "walking on marshmallows"...can we trademark that citation? A steady breeze kept things cool. We let the tides do the rest of the work. The staff at the hotel is very welcoming and forthcoming and the construction finishes are done with taste. The location is off of Banks Road so you can get in and around the island pretty easily...local spots like Tippys and Governor's Harbour are minutes away, as is access to OTHER great beaches on the Caribbean and Atlantic sides. About an hour to ELH on the main road.
