Great accommodation. Very friendly and helpful owner. Spatious rooms with very good beds. Wide selection of breakfast options. PS: don't forget to look at the bush babies near the bar :)

I loved my stay at Serene stay! The rooms are clean and spacious, super comfortable bed, shower was fab. Serene is the right description. The new owners Yorick and his brother are so welcoming and really go out of their way to make you feel at home. Breakfast was wonderful and the best Capuchino I have had, and those kept coming without me being asked. A lovely ambience to this place, and a treat to get to see the resident Bush Babies go out for their night adventure. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t have asked for better hosts. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always available whenever we needed anything. The lodge itself was very comfortable and relaxing, and the individual breakfast was absolutely delicious. We felt genuinely looked after from beginning to end. A fantastic experience in Hoedspruit — we would happily stay here again and can highly recommend this lodge!

The Wi-Fi was occasionally a little slow, but this did not affect our stay at all.

Bellissima esperienza, la struttura è di alto livello anche negli arredamenti, si trova in una riserva privata quindi per entrare alla sbarra c’è bisogno di un codice che fornisce la struttura, questo mi ha fatto sentire molto al sicuro. La stanza pulita, la doccia migliore del Sudafrica, la colazione ottima e abbondante. I ragazzi della struttura super gentili. Zebre, impala e facoceri si avvicinano fino al giardino. Presenza di due ristoranti proprio fuori dalla sbarra!

Nous avons passé un séjour parfait au Serene Stay même si ce n'était que pour une nuit. Yorick et son frère nous ont accueillis comme il se doit. Tout était propre, les chambres sont spacieuses, il y a une piscine pour les belles journées et surtout nous sommes dans le wildlife estate de Hoedspruit. Le matin en faisant un tour en voiture dans cette zone privée nous avons pu voir des girafes, des phacochères, des impalas. Un avant goût du Kruger plus que bienvenu

The food and beverage offering needs improvement.The bed covers are very thin and could be replaced with thicker, more comfortable ones.Please consider bringing back instant tea. Tea should be stored in a sealed container rather than left out in the open.Provide milk sachets in the rooms for guests' convenience.The mushrooms served at breakfast contained too much water and lacked flavour.The quality of the bread could be improved.Consider investing in a coffee machine so that customer can have more option during breakfast

The property is beautiful, comfortable, and with attention to detail. The owner is very friendly. It's located within a nature reserve, where it's possible to observe animals. I would definitely stay here again!

Jozef and his team made my stay at the Belgium inn very nice and comfortable! While arriving without a car I even got a homemade dinner to avoid walking in the dark.

Room was very clean and the living room very nicely decorated. It is located right at Hoedspruit’s entrance coming from Kruger (Orpen Gate) and is perfect if you’re going to do the Panorama Route. It’s in a private complex with controlled access/exit so I felt very safe staying here and leaving the car outside. Staff and Jozef (the owner) are nice and cheerful. If you are a smoker, make sure to ask him where the designated area is. I totally understand and sympathize with his concern, as it comes from looking after the rest of the guests, but being asked what I smoked and where I threw away my cigarette butts was super uncomfortable — I felt guilty even though I made sure to smoke outside away from the door/outdoor ceiling. Breakfast was nice and the view too.

Little privacy as all rooms face each other and walls are a bit thin. I felt bad because I knew every time I exited my room everyone could hear. Perfect if you’re trying to catch some sleep literally as soon as you arrive. It wasn’t my case, as I didn’t want to go out during the night (arrived around 6 PM) and it took me forever to fall asleep as the TV didn’t work. The WiFi connection is poor, but it’s expected due to the location.

I arrived 22 minutes late for check in which was at 19h00 and which I was informed about at 18h06. I kept the owner updated on my travel via voicenote the entire day. I even offered to fetch the key from him at his convenience when he informed me latest check in was 19h00 to which he declined. The owner was EXTREMELY rude, denied my attempts to greet him and apologise for being late. He proceeded to shout instructions at me like I was a child so that I wouldn’t and I quote ‘bother him at night’. His confrontation left me, a single female traveller who encountered a pothole ridden road with lots of construction and trucks on the last 80km, in tears and upset. This got my holiday off to a bad start and left a bad taste in my mouth. As a medical professional who works hard that is the last thing you want to encounter on your rare time off. You can have an amazing property but in my opinion hospitality is everything and it’s was lacking at The Belgium in for me.

I enjoyed the breakfast cooked in accordance with my request. Good quality and beautiful presentation. The fresh fruit salad with seasonal fruits was very enjoyable. To sit under the verandah and to be able to see antelope watching you eating is food for the heart!

Excellent host and reception. Spacious and well equipped rooms. Wonderful breakfast and service. Appreciated Jozef accommodating our request for breakfast outside the regular breakfast window. We couldn't have asked for a better location in Hoedspruit - set in the 'wild' and yet on the doorstep of all the amenities the town has to offer.

Staff were lovely…if you need a place to stay for a night - the inn is fine. The place feels a bit like a motel. Each room has a door on the outside of the building and one on the inside. There is a main living room/reception area and each room has a door off the main area. There is a small pool-but there is not much autonomy as the place is small. Rooms are clean and have an en-suite bathroom, tv, and AC.

If people are hanging out in the main area-you hear every word of what they are saying. The lodge is small, and the common areas are tight. The lodge allows smoking in the outdoor bar area-but the smoke permeates through the entire lodge. The WiFi network was technically there but the actual connection was a bit weak and inconsistent.

The owner of the property is exceptionally helpful. He allowed me to check in early andeven went so far as to give me a lift into town, as I was having issues with my vehicle. The breakfast was delicious and fresly prepared. A very clean and comfortable spacious room in a very secure estate.

Besonders hervorzuheben ist Jozef, der Besitzer der Unterkunft – er kümmert sich persönlich um alle Anliegen seiner Gäste und sorgt mit seiner herzlichen Art dafür, dass man sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen fühlt. Dieser persönliche Einsatz macht den Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz Besonderem. Die Umgebung des Hotels ist ein echtes Naturerlebnis. Das Gelände ist reich an Wildtieren, sodass man mit etwas Glück direkt vom Zimmer aus Giraffen, Warzenschweine oder Antilopen beobachten kann – ein unvergesslicher Anblick, der den Aufenthalt einzigartig macht. Das Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich, frisch und lässt kaum Wünsche offen. Zudem eignet sich die Unterkunft hervorragend als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge zum Blyde River Canyon und Kruger Nationalpark. Insgesamt ein traumhaftes Hotel, das Natur, Gastfreundschaft und Komfort verbindet. Uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst, mooie ruime kamers, proper verzorgd. Gastheer Jozef (Jos) is een warm en vriendelijk persoon met de nodige humor. Een echte aanrader! Je bevind je op een wildlife estate midden tussen de dieren waar altijd wel wat te bezien valt.

Schöne Zimmer, sauber, ruhig gelegen

Ik heb een prettig verblijf gehad bij Belgium Inn. De eigenaar is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam, wat meteen een welkom gevoel geeft. De kamer ziet er goed en verzorgd uit en alles was netjes in orde. Ook de ligging is fijn en praktisch. Al met al een aanrader!

I didn't like the fact that they don't change their bedding, I was told they change after 2 days. We arrived very late in the evening and the bedding was not that clean. Hygiene is not practised,the tea bags in the room were not raped. The towels looks very old.
