The only small downside was that, at times, there was an unpleasant smell in the garden. Fortunately, it did not diminish the overall quality of an otherwise wonderful stay.

We stayed at Ana’s Kashi for two nights, and it was a wonderful experience. My genuine feedback is that every member of the staff was incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful. Their hospitality truly made our stay special, and I would happily give them 5/5 for their service. A special thanks to Pankaj Ji. Mantri, who went above and beyond in taking care of our two kids while we went river rafting. Their kindness and support gave us complete peace of mind, and we are truly grateful. The only suggestion I would like to make is to include a few more activities for children. It would make the stay even more enjoyable for families traveling with kids. Overall, we had a memorable stay and would definitely recommend Ana’s Kashi to others.

It was a very good experience and we really enjoyed it. I will definitely visit again. Anjali and Abhishek both took my daughter around the entire resort and made the experience even more special. Stayed June 2026 – 3 Nights The only positive aspect of Anand Kashi by the Ganges is its location. The hotel is situated close to the Ganga, with a short walk to a small private beach area. Unfortunately, everything else about my experience was deeply disappointing and ultimately resulted in a medical emergency. For a property charging premium rates and marketing itself as a luxury retreat, the level of service is shockingly poor. There appears to be no clear management structure, staff rarely introduce themselves or explain their roles, and basic communication can be extremely difficult. Some of the issues I encountered included: Staff who appeared poorly trained, unprofessional and unable to answer simple questions. A chaotic check-in process. Guests are welcomed with a traditional garland and tika ceremony, only to be left waiting in the lobby for extended periods while staff disappear. Reception is not staffed 24 hours a day, which becomes a serious problem if assistance is needed during the night. The hotel's only restaurant operates only during specific meal times. While the hotel advertises 24-hour room service, obtaining assistance outside restaurant hours proved extremely difficult. However, the most serious issue occurred on my second night. Approximately 24 hours after eating lunch at the hotel's restaurant, I developed severe stomach pain, diarrhoea and repeated projectile vomiting. The symptoms rapidly worsened throughout the evening. I informed reception that I was seriously unwell and requested electrolytes. Due to communication difficulties, it took considerable time for my request to be understood, and the electrolytes arrived around an hour later. As the night progressed, my condition deteriorated significantly. I requested medical assistance several times and specifically asked for a doctor. Instead, I was connected to the Restaurant Manager, who came to my room. Despite repeated requests, a doctor was not arranged promptly. By this stage I was in extreme pain, severely dehydrated and becoming increasingly concerned about my condition. In desperation, I contacted relatives in Delhi and asked them to drive to Rishikesh to collect me. This involved a journey of approximately six hours. When I informed the Restaurant Manager that I intended to check out early due to my condition, I was told that I could not leave because reception would not open until 9 a.m. This response was astonishing given the seriousness of my illness. A doctor was eventually called at around 3 a.m. Unfortunately, my confidence in the consultation was immediately undermined. Upon arriving, rather than attending to a guest who was clearly very ill, he spent several minutes on a personal phone call informing his wife that he had arrived safely at the hotel. He then proposed administering an injection without first taking a proper medical history or conducting any meaningful examination. I declined. He briefly checked my oxygen saturation and informed me that it was 80%, a figure I found highly questionable. Having suffered from asthma throughout my life, I am fully aware that such a reading would normally indicate a medical emergency requiring urgent hospital treatment. Moments later, a repeat reading allegedly showed 98%. The doctor prescribed several medications, including an antibiotic, but they provided no meaningful relief. I was then charged an astonishing INR 10,000 for the consultation and medication. Despite the substantial fee, I was not provided with any invoice, receipt or itemised bill. Given the severity of my condition at the time, I was simply not in a position to challenge this. By the time my relatives arrived from Delhi, I was in an extremely poor state. They were devastated when they saw my condition and immediately packed my belongings and helped me leave the hotel. No assistance whatsoever was offered by hotel staff. To make matters worse, my relatives overheard the Manager complaining that I had disturbed staff throughout the night and prevented them from sleeping because of my repeated requests for help. Had my relatives not arrived when they did, I dread to think how the situation might have developed given how rapidly my condition was deteriorating. During the journey back towards Delhi, my condition continued to worsen. We were forced to stop at a major hospital for emergency treatment. There I was officially diagnosed with severe gastroenteritis and severe dehydration. I required emergency treatment including intravenous fluids, intravenous medication, pain relief and ongoing monitoring. I spent the day receiving emergency care and was subsequently admitted to a hospital ward for a further 24 hours. I retain the medical records and discharge documentation relating to this treatment. The hotel has refused to refund the unused final night of my stay despite the circumstances and despite the fact that I was forced to leave for urgent medical treatment. This experience was not only physically traumatic but emotionally distressing. I visited Anand Kashi seeking peace, relaxation and recovery from the stresses of everyday life. Instead, I spent time in hospital receiving emergency treatment and now face several weeks of recovery and dietary restrictions. The property also falls far short of the tranquil luxury retreat portrayed in its marketing materials. Noise was a constant issue throughout my stay. Children frequently ran and screamed around the resort, and loud classical music played throughout the day and late into the evening. Guests hoping to enjoy the peaceful sounds of the Ganga will instead hear music echoing throughout the property and into the guest rooms. I stayed in Room 201 and would strongly advise avoiding it. Noise from the lobby and common areas carries directly into the room, making it difficult to relax. In summary, my experience at Anand Kashi by the Ganges was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Between the lack of professional management, poor service, inadequate response to a medical emergency, excessive and unexplained medical charges, constant noise and the subsequent hospitalisation, I cannot recommend this property to anyone. What concerns me most is not even the illness itself, but the hotel's apparent inability to respond appropriately when a guest faces a medical emergency. A hotel charging premium rates should have clear procedures in place for obtaining urgent medical assistance. Instead, I found myself being passed to a Restaurant Manager, repeatedly struggling to obtain help and ultimately relying on family members to travel six hours through the night to rescue me. Potential guests should carefully consider whether this hotel truly delivers the luxury experience it advertises.

I had a wonderful stay at Anand Kashi with my family. The property is beautifully located on the banks of the Ganges, with breathtaking views of the river and the surrounding hills. The peaceful atmosphere, combined with the natural beauty of the location, made our stay truly special. The property is extremely well maintained, and every corner reflects great attention to detail. Whether it was enjoying the river views, spending time in the common areas, relaxing in the room, or simply soaking in the serenity of the surroundings, everything felt thoughtfully planned and cared for. We had originally booked one Premium River View Room and one Deluxe Executive Room, as the Premium River View Rooms are understandably in high demand and only one was available at the time of booking. To our delight, upon arrival, the Deluxe Executive Room was also upgraded to a Premium River View Room. Having both rooms overlooking the Ganges, each with its own private balcony, made our family stay even more enjoyable. Waking up to the sight of the river flowing past the hills and enjoying the view from our balconies was truly magical. The infinity swimming pool deserves a special mention. Overlooking the Ganges and the surrounding hills, it offers one of the most serene and picturesque settings imaginable. Whether during the day or around sunset, the views from the pool area were absolutely stunning and added a touch of luxury and tranquility to the entire experience. Another unforgettable highlight was having high tea on the deck by the banks of the Ganges. Sitting by the river with a cup of tea, listening to the soothing sound of flowing water while taking in the spectacular views of the hills and river, was undoubtedly the most beautiful experience during our stay. The hospitality throughout our visit was excellent. The staff were warm, courteous, and always willing to help. A special mention to Mr. Vijay from the Anand Kashi team for welcoming us, giving us a tour of the property, and ensuring that our check-in and check-out processes were smooth and hassle-free. The food was outstanding and exceeded our expectations. Every meal was delicious, with a great variety of options and excellent service to match. What truly sets Anand Kashi apart is the combination of its stunning location, beautiful ambience, attentive service, and the sense of calm it offers. Our stay at Anand Kashi was nothing short of exceptional. Although we were there for only one night, we left wishing we had planned to stay for at least 4–5 days. This is not the kind of place you rush through—it is a place to slow down, relax, and soak in the experience. The property is incredibly peaceful, with breathtaking views of the Ganga and the surrounding mountains. The sound and sight of the river flowing below create an atmosphere that is difficult to describe in words. We are posting a few photos so others can get a glimpse of how beautiful it truly is. We were travelling with our children, including two 2½-year-old twins and our daughter Arya, and they had an amazing time. What stood out was the genuine attention, care, and concern shown towards the babies by the staff. It never felt forced—it came from the heart. Our daughter also had the best time and did not want to leave. From the moment we arrived, Anjali at the Front Desk made us feel welcome and ensured everything was smooth and comfortable for our family. The pool experience was unforgettable. We spent a wonderful afternoon there, and while we were in the pool, it started raining. That combination of the rain, the mountains, and the Ganga views made for one of those rare moments that stay with you long after the trip is over. The spa is excellent, and the in-house Forest Essentials store deserves a special mention. It has a unique and rare collection that is worth exploring even if you're just browsing. The food deserves every bit of praise. From breakfast to evening high tea, in-room dining, baby food requests, and overall food quality, everything was outstanding. Ayushan Edwin and Manish took wonderful care of us and always served us with warmth and a smile. The team consistently went the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable, well-fed, and happy. The hospitality here is not just professional—it is genuinely caring. A special mention also to Kuldeep and Jun, who was exceptional throughout our stay—always attentive, proactive, and eager to help whenever needed. Staff members like him are a big reason why guests leave with such fond memories of the property. And finally, the absolute highlight of the experience was the beautiful Ganga Aarti organized by the property and the charming little Shiva temple within the premises. Outstanding stay at Anand kashi from May 20-22 to bring in a special occasion. From the hospitality, room, food and service everything was about the best in India. Special mention to Esha in reservations and hospitality, Pravesh f and b manager, chef Dipak who designed a special menu for our celebration , Yash who served us at our private dinner, Mahavir- housekeeping and Hrithik the outstanding yoga instructor. The resort's location is exceptional, offering state-of-the-art facilities and unparalleled comfort.

For 3 years we have been regularly staying at Anand Kashi, this was our 8th visit. We enjoyed going back because it was an oasis of tranquility, quite unlike other bigger properties. Unfortunately it now seems to have commercialised itself with a vengeance. In this tiny 24 room property with very few public spaces for guests to sit around in and enjoy the beauty of being on the banks of the Ganges, the Management was trying to host private evening events in every conceivable space. All the 3 days we were there during the day the Glass House, towards the northern end of the property, was used for storing 8 or so chairs, denying guests a space designed to provide a comfortable air conditioned vantage point to relax in and enjoy views of the Ganges. In the evening, all 3 nights, this space was reserved for private functions. In fact on one of the nights just 20 ft away from this Glass House another small party was organised with a live musician belting out filmi songs. Not quite what the Anand Kashi brand used to represent, but no doubt very good for the profits of the property. Fortunately the quality of service by the restaurant, housekeeping and security teams continues to be top notch and we enjoyed interacting with so many familiar faces. With this change in the kind of atmosphere the Management is now creating the name Anand Kashi by the Ganges is bit of a misnomer.

A perfect place to experience serenity and calmness. The resonance of the majestic river continues to linger on in the background even when you step away from the river deck. If you are looking for a quiet place to maybe sit with a book, or just relax and just detox, or simply want to take a break from the chaos of everyday life, this resort provides that tranquillity to rejuvenate our souls. What makes this place truly special is the sense of calm and healing it offers.

I absolutely fell in love with this place. The property is truly amazing and the location by the Ganges is incredibly peaceful and beautiful - you immediately feel calm and connected with nature. We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a luxury tent, which made our stay even more special. Everything was very clean, stylish and well maintained. The food was also delicious and the staff were very kind and attentive.

We had an amazing stay at Anand Kashi. My wife and I came for a short 3 day trip to Rishikesh to celebrate our anniversary. Anand Kashi team made us feel very special. Amazing property, hospitality and top notch service. Special shoutout to Anjali who made sure everything was smooth and a memorable experience. We would would love to come again.

We celebrated our 13th anniversary at Anand Kashi by the Ganges, and it was one of the most memorable stays we’ve had. The property is small — about 22 rooms — and sits right on the banks of the Ganga, with breathtaking views and the constant, soothing sound of the river. We have stayed in quiet a few IHCL/Taj properties but none match the view and feel of this one except for Taj Lake Palace or maybe Taj Wayanad. What truly elevates the experience is the boutique size — it feels cozy, personal, and you receive far more individual attention from the staff. While we haven’t stayed at Taj Rishikesh Resort & Spa, which is nearby, I would recommend Anand Kashi if you’re looking for something more intimate and soulful. We booked a suite and loved it. On the first night, we had some trouble sleeping due to traffic noise from pre–Shivratri celebrations. However, the team handled it wonderfully — by morning, they had another suite prepared for us despite ongoing work in that suite. That responsiveness really stood out. The food was very good overall. Breakfast options are limited given the size of the property, but we had no complaints. We especially appreciated that the food was lighter, less spicy, and less oily than what you typically find at hotels. The chef personally met us at each meal, which added a thoughtful touch. They arranged a special anniversary lunch for us. During our stay, Noel Tata and his close family and friends were also at the property, yet the staff ensured everything felt completely normal and seamless for other guests. A special thank you to Shubham, Diksha, Vijay, Kamal, Abhishek, Pinki, and the entire team for making our anniversary so special. There are some more names I would like to mention but I dont remeber them.I would highly recommend this property for a peaceful and truly memorable getaway.

This is possibly one of the most beautiful places to go to, if you are planning to be in Rishikesh. A boutique hotel of about 25 rooms has great food, fantastic view to the ricer Ganges and has an exclusive Forest Essentials store where some of the products available only there. A must visit place for a meal or for a stay, depending on your preference and budget.

This place was like a beautiful serene sanctuary by the Ganges! Awesome property so close to the river and the evening Aarti was so awe-inspiring and peaceful feeling! Staff was also very amazing and courteous all throughout our stay! Starting with the welcoming crew (Esha, Sourabh ,Rajni) to the housecleaning guy (Bhupendra-he took time and made a towel idol of Krishna -very sweet) to the restaurant crew whose service was amazing along with the chef who made delicious food. Each and every person at this property including the security people and property cleaning people, all were courteous and smiling ready to help with anything! We named it and they made it possible:) Even the property manager Santanu took time and spoke to us every time we saw him! Ninghorla at the spa was awesome and we had couples massage which we enjoyed a lot! Not to forget these other people who all helped us in some way or the other during our stay! All Taj properties and service at the hotel are excellent however at Anand Kashi what we experienced was exceptional. Better than Umaid Bhavan .

The resort is extremely beautiful with the best staff managing the same. The team is very cooperative and the tat is very fast. From the day of checkin to the day of checkout the experience was simply fabulous.

I had a pleasant stay in this hotel room. The space was clean, well-maintained, and comfortably furnished. The bed was soft and provided a good night’s sleep, and the linens felt fresh. The room had all basic amenities including Wi-Fi, a kettle, . The bathroom was tidy with good water pressure and hot water available anytime. The housekeeping staff were polite and responsive. Overall, it was a comfortable and satisfying stay, offering good value for money. I would recommend it.

The location is simply out of the world ! It offers an almost ethereal calm . The rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable ! But the silver lining is the staff ,their grace and their manner of speaking .i like the fact that they speak in hindi and make you feel like royalty The cherry on the cake was the food .The kadi ,the waffles ,the kebabs the aaloo toasty all to be tasted . From the front office to house keeping ,to the service staff and the chef all deserve a big salute !

We stayed here for 3 nights in mid November. It had resort level hospitality with the warmth of a club. The property was super. The spa was great. The yoga in the morning by the river was lovely. The food excellent (especially the kebabs). There is a lovely bar on the top of one of the room blocks. I can't think of anything that I didn't like. Have to make a special mention of the staff who made what is a hotel, feel like home: Front Office: Shubham, Sourabh, Durgesh, Vijay Food & Beverage: Pravesh, Jun, Yash, Pankaj Housekeeping: Mahaveer, Bhupendra, Mohit, Mukesh If you want a place that is peaceful to relax and unwind this is highly recommended. I will definitely go back.

We had a sublime stay at Taj Anand Kashi which perfectly marries the Taj hospitality with the homely feel of a boutique hotel. Whether it was the front of house staff - Durgesh, Shubham, Sourabh or Vijay or the restaurant/bar staff of Manish, Jun and led by Pravesh - no stone was left unturned in making sure we had a memorable experience. The location cannot be matched and the rooms have been designed to provide all creature comforts while retaining the essence of a hill station hotel. The housekeeping team of Bhupendra and Mohit made sure all our in room needs were met and we left wondering when we could return. Needless to say all of the team is helmed by the tone set by the GM - Santanu who made sure to speak with us multiple times a day and ensure our stay was perfect.

Anand Kashi by the Ganges is an amazing boutique property made even better by the staff that manages it. Beginning with the Front office with Durgesh, Saurabh, Shubham who provide a seamless check in. Chef Upadhya and his team of Praveen, Jun, Yash and Pankaj provided an amazing and thoughtful culinary experience. The menu is not extensive but well thought out with one or two specials daily. Bhupendra and Mahaveer looked after our housekeeping needs. The reason I feel compelled to name all these exceptional people is that all of them as a team helped our Family of 10 have a very memorable and comfortable experience. Seriously, one has to experience it to understand the pure luxury by the Ganges. Thank you once again Mr Shantanu Ghosh and your team.

Anand Kashi by the Ganges is truly a hidden gem. The property and staff are exceptional and it is one of the most peaceful and serene experiences ever. We went as a family and the phenomenal hospitality we experienced from the staff is so heartfelt. Firstly the property is nestled right next to the Ganges with its own unique “private Aarti” which is unheard of. They have a heated pool overlooking the lush clear Ganges that flows by and you are surrounded by so much greenery and nature, it feels like a meditation hot spot. They have their own gym, pool, Ayurvedic store, private beach, deck. The food is also exceptional and was to everyone’s liking with an elaborate continental and Indian breakfast. Their Chefs 🧑‍🍳 personally come to you after every meal for feedback and any suggestions. However what makes the property most special is the staff. We want to give a shout out to Sourabh, Durgesh, Ganga, Subodh, Bhupender Joshi, Jun and anyone else we forgot to mention. They are mostly local to the surrounding area and work with so much compassion, dedication and care. Their hospitality is unparalleled and the more we say about them, the less it is. They are truly representative of the heart and soul of Anand Kashi and made our stay a lifelong memorable one. Can’t wait to go back in the near future.

What should i say about this property whatever I will say and write it will be less for it . Hospitality was superb. We got a beautiful room with best view of Ganga and mountains. The experience at Anand Kashi was amazing. All the staff was very humble and the hospitality was to die for. Our experience was made more nicer by The front manager Shubham Chauhan, who is an excellent human being/front manager.

The stay the location the food outstanding Special mention for vijay he went out of the way to help us in he was going for a morning walk in his off duty hrs and we also normally go for a morning walk and he told us sir I will show you the place around as its my routine walk everyday . He did that with all love and affection and clicked our pictures on scenic spots . Staff is super Saurabh also saw and got things in place for us and took personal care Esha helped us and coordinated with us even before we checked in about our whereabouts and to make sure we reach safely and helped us in a smooth check in .
