Absolutely lovely hotel, very central with great undercover parking option for motorcycles. Great value with breakfast included.

The lighting in the bathroom was very dim - it would not have been possible to shave or apply cosmetics.

Friendly staff, how comfortable and spacious the room was .

Was no windows to open for ventilation, was quite warm day/ night. Eventhough there was a fan in the room still felt stuffy, it would have been good if there was a net curtain to leave closed when opening up the bigger curtain so you could let in natural light and have some privacy.

Excellent staff and service . Food was excellent. 10 out 10 .

Good breakfast in with the price paid. It would have been nice if the dining room had been open for an evening meal but we were able to enjoy a meal in the pub two doors away. Lovely big room with a very nice sized en suite and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was a little bit tired, just needing a refresh of paintwork and carpet.

The room facilities were fine and the breakfast was very nice.

On a blisteringly hot night in a room without ventilation and only a small window that couldn't be left open because of security . I wanted my wife to join me in the car in the car park. That's how uncomfortable it was.

We had all the facilities in this hotel, and friendly staff specifically the staff called Fiona who was very friendly and helpful. Also the receptionist was very welcoming and respectful.

It’s an old building, full of character. The bedrooms were well appointed, maybe a bit too modern for the age of the building

Comfortable double bed room. Clean and tidy. The breakfast was great and so were the staff. Parking available on site. Fairly large room with en-suite.

It can get pretty warm in the room during summer months. Placing a fan in the room would be very useful.

The location was convenient for Newcastle Emlyn and the room was reasonably spacious. Unfortunately, the positives were significantly outweighed by problems with the accommodation and unavailable facilities

The “Suite” appeared to be a converted former shop unit directly on the road, with a large shop-front window that offered little privacy unless the curtains remained closed. The mattress seemed too small for the bed and was extremely noisy, and traffic noise was intrusive. During exceptionally hot weather the room was unbearably warm, with no air conditioning; opening the small window made the road noise worse and the fan provided was ineffective. The advertised spa was unavailable, Y Bistro was not operating and there was no evening meal service. The building’s front door was also locked at 8pm. Overall, the accommodation and facilities were very different from what we reasonably expected from the listing and a four-star “riverside retreat”.

Nice placed for the surrounding areas. We have stayed here twice now...and is our new base when we are in the area. Friendly staff, first visit we stopped our room as had a few issues...wasn't a problem at all.

Only that it was difficult to work out the shower temperature. I did in the end, so it was fine. The bathroom lighting was too dim. Otherwise, the bathroom was well designed.

Even though it was on the main road, it was pretty sound proof and the traffic wasn’t noticeable. Bed was super comfortable and was the best nights sleep I’ve had in a while.

Some of the facilities were in need of replacement, the sink had a huge crack down and was being held up by masking tape.

The check-in experience was very good. Receptionist was very friendly and she explained all procedures clearly. Breakfast as usual was very good. The staff in the breakfast room were very professional and friendly.

The room was very small - almost a box room. It was quite stuffy in there. The TV channels were not working very well.

The room was on the main road so was noisy and hot. There was no fan in the room. There was only bath towels not bath sheets in the bathroom and they were much too small. Breakfast was nice but it was very limited. There was only 3 choices on the menu and the English breakfast was not very big. There was no fruit

I booked a suite which stated it had a bath - there was no bath. We were given a room on the main Rd at the side of the hotel which seemed like we were staying in a shop feont.

La chambre était très propre et l’établissement calme. Meilleurs nuit à de mon voyage en Angleterre ! Le personnel était sympathique et prévenant. Petit déjeuner exceptionnel. À côté il y un bar où on peux utiliser internet et boire une bière voire manger une assiette c’est tres bien.

The staff that we met (check in and breakfast) were lovely. The lady on breakfast due was brilliant, nothing was too much. Stayed with my 3 year old and he’s still saying how comfy the bed was

Lovely friendly staff. Our room was large with sitting area and plenty of space. Lovely and quiet. Comfy bed with really good bedding. Well cooked, good quality, breakfast and service.

There were a few areas needing maintenance in our room, carpet cleaning, grouting/silicon refresh in bathroom but this did not worry us nor affect out stay.

This is a little gem in the Welsh countryside. The staff in dinning room were exceptional and so friendly n full of local knowledge . The breakfast was superb.. would definitely stay again if back this way . Cenarth fall nearby are fantastic and the fishing is good .

Lovely warm welcome from the lady on Reception, everything clearly explained, and the lady running breakfast in the morning was also fantastic. Room was spotlessly clean. Good shower. Breakfast itself was really good.

Bedroom was dated, two of the pillows were lumpy (I just used the other two though).

Room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very well furnished. The receptionist and the lady at breakfast were very pleasant, helpful and professional in their approach. Breakfast was served in a well equipped dining room with ample choices of food. The full breakfast was very well prepared, presented and filling.

The mattress on the bed was not the most comfortable and the floorboards in the room creaked loudly when walking anywhere in the room. Just unfortunate no evening meals are provided.

Can't fault the Hotel. Rooms were spacious and clean, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Fiona is a breath of fresh air in the morning serving breakfast and couldn't do enough for us. Receptionist was so polite and helpful too. Will most definitely come back next time when working away in the area.

Friendly and helpful duty manager showed us to our room told us what time breakfast was served. The breakfast server Fiona I think her name was very friendly and helpful.

We had a wonderful time during our stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Ghe room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable we slept soundly every night. If you're in the area I highly recommend staying here, fantastic accommodation!

We loved the old building with lots of character and tastefully decorated, everything about the breakfast was very good, plenty of buffet options and juice and our fried breakfast was very good, freshly cooked and tasty. Our room was snug but very comfortable and everything we needed and the bathroom was great with a nice big shower. The town was lovely and plenty of option for dinner.

The stairs, we were up two flights which wasn’t perfect but no major factor, and we had a busy road side room, the room was very warm so we had to open the window which meant traffic noise.

Stayed twice within 2 weeks first time penthouse bath wouldn't empty after shower. 2nd time shower water pressure minimal at first. Instructions would have been useful.

Lovely character yet modern touch, very comfortable bed and cosy rooms with everything we needed, breakfast was amazing- plenty of choice, hot & cold options, all great quality.

Nothing really, a small niggle could be that the bar would stay open a little longer than the 9pm.

Great welcome when checking in - no problem parking and breakfast was good. Room was acceptable/ good although bed was slightly uncomfortable and the sofa could do with an upgrade. TV worked and bathroom was modern and clean.

The corridors and stairs look terrible - the carpet doesn't look as it has been cleaned in the last 5 years .The restaurant and bar are shut and the sitting area is not welcoming. The front door of the building is locked at 8pm so if you do decide to go to a local pub to have an evening meal you are provided with a key to open the back door.
