Nous ne l’avons jamais revue. Petit déjeuner excellent et soigné mais le service était très très long. (1h30!) pour 4 petits déjeuners.

A jungle-like reprieve from humanity with all the creature comforts and incredible wood. Peaceful setting, with biking (simple bike or mountain) and countryside exploration at your doorstep. Simple breakfast menu and smoothie options. Restaurants for lunch and dinner (Give Green Restaurant a lovely spot) a bike ride away (though the guesthouse does dinner with notification). Highly recommended the bike ride to the rice terraces and the hike after. Did the Gibbon Experience in Laos and was easy to take a bus from Chiang Rai to the border. Grab delivers you right to the boutique’s front door.

Room was comfy, the villa area is very aesthetic and pretty, the staff was very helpful and arranged a taxi for us to Phu Ci Fa to hike at 3am. The room was spacious and the bug nets were a big help.

The stay felt like being in a jungle, but a cozy and relaxing jungle. Staff were amazing and happy to help with anything we needed. Our accommodations were comfortable and clean. We ordered dinner and it did not disappoint, super tasty!

Incredibly peaceful location, use of free bikes made exploring the surrounding area so fun including excellent restaurants nearby. Just the perfect place to relax outside of town. Lots of hammocks etc to pass the time in, but the room was also very comfortable.

This is an amazing location. The property is beautiful and the rooms are large and very spacious. And the beds are truly comfortable. This is an exception property and we truly enjoyed being 10 mins from town as we did a lot of traveling by moped to the mountain areas around which are STUNNING. The family and team that run this hotel are truly kind and very helpful to make any plans, etc. This is a definite must stay.

The location was perfect if you don't want to be in town. 20 min taxis to all the major places. Room was fantastic. The oweners have a phenomenal story and they planted all the trees themselves. This is for people that don't want the bustle of the town and want a quite retreat to come back to.

Very good place to stay if you are looking to be around nature. Staff were all so friendly. Room was really big and has many places to hang our clothes. Bed and pillows were so comfortable. Slept very well over the 2 days

We stayed only for 3 nights but will definitely stay longer next time!! Wonderful little Homestay on the outskirts of Chiang Rai. Beautiful garden and great sunset to view. The rooms are nicely decorated and spacious. We had a nice time there and it is no problem what so ever to order a Grab taxi to get to all the places you want to visit. All are about 15 minutes away from the homestay. Really nice hosts, who help with any questions and needs. Thanks for sharing your nice hospitality with us.

The property is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by a lush, well-kept and immaculate garden that feels like a private jungle. The bungalows are spacious, stylishly furnished and thoughtfully designed, with stunning bathrooms and great attention to detail. Cleanliness is impeccable and privacy is excellent. Honestly, it is hard to understand how some negative reviews are even possible. The property is extremely well maintained, clean and thoughtfully designed. Perhaps the only reason could be that it is a bit secluded and surrounded by nature, which is clearly part of its charm. However, getting around is very easy: Grab works perfectly, is affordable and reliable, and the property is also relatively close to the airport. This place is ideal for travelers who appreciate peace, privacy and authenticity, rather than a busy city location

Out of town… quiet but lovely location Fabulous food

Heerlijk ruime, schone, comfortabele en goed geïsoleerde kamer op een prachtig jungle terrein iets buiten de stad. Met een goed bed 😴 We waren met de auto waardoor alles uitstekend bereikbaar was (eventueel ook met Grab). En het is juist heerlijk om je hier terug te kunnen trekken. We hebben de afgelopen maanden (op reis) al heel wat hotels en Homestays bezocht in Azië waarbij je voor dit soort prijsjes meestal wel “concessies” doet (de waterdruk, geen warm water, gehorige kamers, een hard bed, toch niet zo schoon als het leek, etcetera, velen zullen dit vast herkennen), geen van het bovenstaande hebben we hier ervaren. Hond Tess die altijd in was voor een knuffelsessie was ook een hele leuke bonus. Verder echt ontzettend genoten van het prachtige terrein en al haar extra bewoners (zoals gecko’s) 🙃. Kallaya en Mark, ontzettend bedankt, jullie hebben een prachtplek gecreëerd🌺

The decor in the room was tasteful.

4 lists of rules in the room. 2 x A2 poster sized, even framed with details of fines for non compliance felt very unwelcome. 490 baht for basic meal, no choices. Rural location meant options for food are very limited. No ceiling or extractor on bathroom meant odours lingered in the room. Lights made an annoying buzzing noise. No mountain view as advertised. Tap in bathroom soaked you if you weren't very cautious, shower was lukewarm. No lighting through extensive grounds even though they knew guests had to leave early in the dark. No assistance with baggage meant we had to carry luggage for 7 minute walk to room. Limited privacy without curtains fully drawn. Only interested in your money.

The homestay and room were incredibly gorgeous and cosy. Amenities were nice and Kallaya was a wonderful host. She was really arranging and helped me booked a taxi early in the morning so I could get picked up in time for my flight. The rooms are big with all furniture you could need. The environment is green and so peaceful. It was easy to get around by taking some Grab scooters or the free bikes provided.

The hosts, Mark and Ya were gracious and warm during our stay assisting with our enquiries and bookings. The location is divine - easy bike ride to the waterfall and The Black House. The food is amazing!!

We like that the hotel/resort was very close to nature. It was also very aesthetically pleasing and the ambience was amazing. It feels very homey and the rooms are very spacious. The location is accessible by Bolt or Grab and easy to go out and return to. If you are a person who is in need of peace this is the place for you.

Our room had a great balcony with superb views. The breakfast was delicious (we both loved the yogurt and omelet in particular!). The owners themselves were very nice and helpful.

Great hotel — they’ve done a remarkable job for a family-run business. Communication was excellent and very detailed. The hotel’s design is thoughtful throughout, even down to the beautifully crafted plaques displaying the Wi-Fi codes. They also offer free bicycles to explore nearby spots, which is a nice touch. Everything in the city is reachable within 15–20 minutes by Grab or rental car, yet the hotel still offers a peaceful sense of isolation, surrounded by forest and beautiful scenery. A wonderful balance of convenience and nature.

This is more of a tip than a complaint: the place is extremely quiet at night, which is wonderful, but occasional animals on the roof can create sudden noises that sound louder than they are. It woke us up once, and we checked the room just to be sure nothing was inside. It’s completely harmless—just wildlife outside—but the sound can be amplified. I would recommend bringing earplugs if you’re a light sleeper, just to ensure a perfect night’s rest.

This truly was an amazing space, I was looking for a place to relax and unwind, and somehow found the perfect spot. The grounds are like a garden. The rooms are perfect and clean. The staff was there, but not in your face, had great conversations at breakfast when I wanted and was able to be quiet when I wanted. Truly amazing and beautiful.!

We loved our stay at Bambur. Our room was stunning and in a bush setting overlooking rice paddies. It was very clean, comfortable and quiet and a short bike ride to places to eat (we tried all those recommended and they were great)and the Baan Dam Museum. We also enjoyed breakfast and dinner a couple of times at Bambur which was absolutely delicious.

Great place, everything exactly like in the photos, perhaps even better. In one of the reviews, someone said something about a hard bed but that didn't turn out to be the case at all. I slept like a rock. Very friendly owners. I spoke with them a lot. Will come back during a greener season for sure. The jungle comes to life at night. I didn't even do that much. Simply staying there is an experience.

I had high expectations based on the great reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The place feels somewhat uncared for, and I didn’t find it to be great value for the price. I had to carry my own suitcase to my room, they don’t accept card payments, and the location is quite remote, making it hard to access other food options. My room was small, concrete like, with an open bathroom and very little privacy. The gardens also felt a bit neglected, adding to a sense of abandonment. I hope they can improve these aspects or adjust their pricing. Sharing my experience to offer perspective for future travelers.

This homestay is a real find and we would highly recommend. The owners are great and will help with everything. It is so peaceful and tucked away in the countryside. The breakfast and dinner (both extra, but well worth it) were excellent and cooked by the owners. We wish we had stayed for a third night and enjoyed the location a bit more.

Gorgeous property - perfect if you are looking for something more relaxing and immersed in nature. So many areas to sit and relax! The room itself was also comfortable! The owners were kind and helpful - they helped organize a driver for a day trip to Mae Salong and one for an early morning trip to the bus station. The home cooked dinners were fantastic as was the breakfast.

Far away from hustle and bustle of Chiang Rai Main Street. Architecture and design of this small hotel are fully integrated in nature.

Beautiful setting with jungly feel just outside Chiang Rai in a more countryside location. Perfect if you want to visit locations around the area and stay somewhere a little quieter. The room was lovely and the value for money was great.

The hotel and the breakfast and service etc could’ve been amazing with a little more TLC. Communication from the hosts could’ve been better, a few messages on booking.com went unanswered and we were told that we could have dinner if we ordered before 3pm and that we could do laundry the following day but when it came to it, neither were available. Although the room was lovely, the bed wasn’t that comfortable and the pillow could’ve been fresher.

Friendly staff & beautiful property!

The whole place is tranquil and very pretty. The room has been decorated really nice and has the facilities you need. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast menu they have on offer is perfect. if you’re a coffee lover - you got to try their coffee! It’s in walking distance approx (20/25mins) to Baan Dam Museum. If you want some peace and tranquility I recommend staying here.

Can’t fault anything

We stayed in the Chalet for 5 nights. It was beautiful with plenty of space to spread out. The bed was medium-firm density and so so comfortable. The view from the balcony was lovely and it was a peaceful place to spend lazy mornings. We had a motorbike so the 10-15 minute trip into Chiang Rai centre and around to various other places in Chiang Rai province wasn’t a problem for us. We were given some great restaurant tips and ideas for how to spend our time in the region. We also loved that there was no TV in the room. This is the first place that offered a stainless steel bottle of water that could be refilled rather than all the single use plastic bottles usually supplied by hotels. Great job guys!

when the neighbours use water like shower or sink the pipes or the pump make a very loud noise - like a steam engine - it was absurdely loud You need to use grab or taxi to get to the city (20-30 minutes)

Beautiful gardens/rooms. Very peaceful but close to everything. Owners went above and beyond when we had to get to airport because driver from Booking.com failed to show (see my complaint!) Food was exceptional. Wish we could have stayed longer…

Cannot think of anything we did not like.

We loved Bambuh Boutique! Small quiet property and the caretakers are very kind. Home cooked breakfast including home roasted coffee. Lovely big rooms and the AC worked well. Note that the location is not near anything and Chiang Rai in general is very spread out. We booked many Grabs to get around. Recommend hiring a driver for a day to see the temples, markets etc.

The room was great, really clean and equipped with everything, even a kettle with coffee and a mini fridge. The location is good, easy to get around with Grab if you don't have a car or scooter. Kallaya is amazing, very helpful and kind. Would recommend!

Beautiful Homestay away from the city. We loved the design and the garden. There were bicycles available that we enjoyed as well. The people we met were all very friendly. We had a really good time and Kallaya is a very good host.

This was an excellent place to stay after spending a few days in Bangkok. Set in the countryside surrounded by nature and overlooking paddy fields. The homestay had a really chill vibe about it. The rooms (we had the chalet and the luxury loft) were spotless and really spacious and both had a really big verandah. Breakfast was extra but really good value (the smoothies were really good). Beds comfortable. Bit worried with it being out of town but really easy to get Grab taxis to the centre of Chiang Rai and the Big Buddah. Bicycles on site can get you to the Ban Damn Museum and out into the countryside.

Stayed there for one day, the location was a little hard to get but the boss there was so nice, its runned by husband and wife. And extra bed is an additional 400 baht. overall it was pretty clean and the vibes were good!

A wonderful hideaway just as they promise it to be. The owners are more than helpful with infos about things to do and even helped us deal with unexpected rental car issues. You feel very welcome. The rooms are perfectly clean and high class furnitured and the whole area let you feel like in garden Eden.
