Solid nice Hotel immediately at the river Bank. But Shopping, dining and getting to Publikum transportation is not so easy. Whereever you go you need a taxi.

Room was extremely big considering price paid which was very good. Rooms were in great conditions offering great views. Staff were very helpful and a great range of amenities was offered including laundry detergent and so on. Hotel in great condition and is located in a very convenient location.

The property has 24/7 reception. Great views to the river and good access to tourist attractions and downtown. Staff are very helpfull and friendly. The restaurant and breakfasts arrangement are generous and provide a great break fast variety. We would stay here again, great facilities and room layout. Especially the of a kitchen and laundry’s in the room.

Beautiful luxurious condominium with a dual washing/drying machine included. The breakfast is generous & had a good asian variety. The coffee machine was great too.

We had the best stay at Somerset - hands down the BEST! They upgraded us to a 2-bedroom suite and it was enormous! The view of the Yangtze was magical. I didn’t want to leave the room - I just wanted to sit by the window and watch the river flow. Everything in the room worked perfectly. The beds were super comfortable. The pool is a major perk- so is the robot that delivers drinks and snacks. Definitely order something from the robot! I’ll always stay at this hotel when I’m in Chongqing. It honestly felt like home.

The hotel room was spacious and clean. We booked a room for 3 people and they gave us an extra twin bed. The staff are also nice. The security guards at the front always help us with our baggage as we had a lot.

This hotel was an amazing value. The breakfast buffet was very high quality. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel suite was very nice. The view of the river was very nice.

The staff here has excellent attitude in helping guest to resolve their issue. We left a jacket in one of the Didi ride. Fiona helped me to navigate through the complex process of reterieving a lost item through the Didi app as a local phone number was required. We managed to get back our jacket. Kudos to Fiona and the team!

i loved staying here! the bed was so comfortable and the rooms were very spacious. everything was very clean and tidy.

Great views of the river. Safe being next to a police station. Easy access to taxis and public transportation. Rooms were large apartments with full kitchen and laundry machine. Breakfast buffet is fabulous

Room was very big! Got the studio premier and it exceeded our expectations, didn’t expect there to be lots of space and even a washer/dryer duo in the room. Breakfast buffet was plentiful with a good mix of Chinese and Western food. Staff was extremely helpful and spoke some English. Not a far drive from the main areas but still far enough to be nice and quiet. Highly recommend!

Great river view, clean and spacious room. Walkable distance to tourist places but the taxi is also cheap and convenient. Safe to walk around even in late night. Breakfast can be improved for its variety and taste.

I like it. Their staffs are friendly and nice. The room is clean and welly kept. It is safe and secure with a police station in next block. The MTR is not nestby. Public transportation is not convenient. However, the local attraction, the “White Elephant Street" just 3 minutes uphill walking in the back of the hotel. This is also the walking shortcut to other local attractions and lot of local dining choices within 15 minutes. After you know this shortcut, you won't feel any inconvenience anymore.

Great for a short stay, especially if you need a washing machine mid trip. The hotel has everything you could need, a shop a few doors up and plenty of cheap taxis just a few minutes wait away. Chongqing is a very hilly place (obviously) so be prepared to have to walk up lots of hills, the hotel is at the bottom of a hill near the river so unless You take a taxi, you’re pretty much going to encounter a hill to get to where you’re going. Would stay again

The hotel is beautiful, clean, and has a pleasant scent. We booked the 1 bedroom executive and the room was very grand in size and impressive. The river and city view was spectacular. The bed & bedding was very comfortable to relax and sleep in. We had an issue with the laundry machine in our room and the staff were very quick to service us immediately and resolve the problem. Darcy went above and beyond for us and we are grateful for her. I would definitely recommend this hotel for the clean rooms and exceptional staff. The breakfast buffet offered Asian and western foods and was very delicious.

Very spacious & clean rooms. River view for some rooms. Friendly staff. Breakfast area a little small & ok menu. Location is pretty convenient to get to most places. Also a decent 24-hr minimart within 2 mins walk. 24-hr Foot bath in building next door

I arrived early and was given a nice clean upgraded room without any surcharge. The front desk receptionist was friendly and very accommodating. Definitely recommend and will be staying here again!

10min walk from some must see attractions eg Bayi Foodstreet, Liberation Monument, Chaotianmen Square and clothing wholesale market.

The service apartment hotel is great. We appreciate their kindness to upgrade us to one bedroom apartment. The area is close to several attractions such as Raffles City, 朝天门，,十八梯，山城etc. great choice.

Check in is terribly slow. Front desk staff have no authority, everything has to be done online which is both impractical and inconvenient. Breakfast room is too small for number of guests and breakfast, whilst having good variety, is of poor quality.

Very clean room but one can see the age. Quality of breakfast could be improved. Only downside: Internet was terribly slow and things like App Store unusable.

Besides the sofa cushions that have old stains, the bed, bathroom and kitchen are clean and neat. Love the attentive services by the staff. The morning buffet was crowded as the seating space is limited, gotta share tables. The buffet has a good spread of local and western. However the hygiene level can be improved. Examples, the buffet food are not covered, when ordering the noodles to the chef behind the counter, we are literally talking over the dishes at the counter. The dining place is warm as the sun shines right into it, fans were placed around and tends to blow used serviettes and food crumbles over the table onto the floor.

Amazing location, great for family, even can cook. Love the 25-meter swimming pool, but too busy to use it. Fantaybreakfast and lunch dishes are hugh and inexpensive. 5stars overall.

The hotel on the shore front offers beautiful Neon night view of the city. Proximity to the old city and other tourist attractions. Staff of the hotel helpful and the breakfast included gave us a good start of the day. Good value.

The apartment is great, so comfortable like home. The staff are so friendly and helpful although it’s hard to communicate as most staff English are not so great. The only prb I have is it’s hard to get a cab back to the hotel as a lot of the cabs said that they do not know the hotel and refused to take us.

I regularly stay in the Somerset Chengdu and I came to Chongqing this year for the Lantern Festival. Somerset Yangtze River Chongqing did not disappoint. The rooms are a very high standard and the breakfast was excellent. I will definitely stay here again next time that I come to Chongqing.

Good place to live.

The hotel is very clean with many amenities. It is located beside the Yangtze River so you can take a walk along the river any time. Convenient access to the 解放碑 central area where you can taste Chongqing just at one place. Remember to use the elevator!

Property location is excellent: situate right in front of Yangtze River and is within approx. 15 mins walking distance from all major attractions. Also, front desk staffs are very friendly and helpful too. The only minor complaint I had was that there were some unpleasant order in the room on my first night accommodation, but than the smell went away on the 2nd day. All in all, it's a value-for-money hotel in Chongqing.

The property itself is very pleasant. Well done Somerset. HOWEVER, the management is substandard - actually surprised me in a negative way on how Somerset could find itself fine with the local management team. Understand that it was during the Chinese National holiday but that was no excuse for how they underprepared breakfast. All food gone by 8:30, not to mention that the servers were rude and refused to let us get seated in the restaurant. We had to bring our noodles to the lobby and was kicked back into the restaurant without a proper table prepared. Staff were unprofessional - gym was supposed to open by 7 but the steam room was not operating until we entered. Bad experience overall.

Big living room and awesome washer+dryer makes this a wonderful suite for the family.

It was an amazing stay. The one bedroom was pretty spacious and clean. We would love to stay there when visiting Chongqing again in the future.

A great hotel in a great place. Chongqing is a town that is alive with economic energy. We loved the light show that the downtown buildings put on, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. My wife especially loved the room, its cleanliness, the view, the handy washer-dryer, and all the amenities won her over.

I will never stay in this hotel nor in any Somerset hotels. These days, without internet means you are not living in this world. The wi-fi was the worst...could not connect. Wasted my valuable time in connecting wi-fi. The location is not good as there are no good restaurants near the hotel.

Large room, and quite tidy. It's a good choice for a group of people travelling. I will try it again when I go back to Chongqing.

Great hotel. Feel like home.

A great place to stay with friends or family. The unit was clean and relaxing. Their beds were so comfy and u feel like stay in the bed better than going out. Just remember to bring hotel Chinese name card with u when go out, otherwise u will find difficulty to come back to hotel. Hotel.com didn't mention in Chinese name, therefore we got difficulty to find this hotel by taxi from airport. This is the only weak point. Others were perfect.

Great franchise, always comforting to stay in Somerset service apartments. Everything is great except for the location.

We had a room with a view of the river. It was great! It was honestly one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in! The room was so spacious and the bed so comfortable-compared with what Chinese beds are normally like!! The free breakfast was plentiful and tasty. There are many small restaurants close by and taxis can be called by the hotel, but always get the helpful English speaking staff to write in Chinese where you want to go so you can give it to the driver, as so few people speak English in CQ! There is a nice pool, gym and sauna though I wasn't able to use any of them! My only complaint was that there wasn't a roof top bar!

Overall is good, except the hotel location.because sometimes we call the taxi to back hotel. Taxi always reject. So we must walk back to hotel. However,there are the constructions around hotel.

We booked the three bedroom suite and it was perfect! All three rooms were big; common space areas were also very big! The decor is very modern. The rooms are very clean. Breakfast is good! Swimming pool and steam room are excellent!! The rooms had very nice view of the Yangtze River! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Chong chin!
