Mattress was solid and so uncomfortable. Restaurant was so busy couldn't get reservation or food in bar. Bedroom was above bar area, which was very loud and noisy, especially on a Saturday.

Stanza molto grande, letto ampio e comodo, personale gentilissimo. Avere sia il pub sia al ristorante all’interno è sicuramente un plus. Parcheggio interno riservato, ottimo e largo.

Electric shower over the bath, bit precarious for a pensioner as the sides of the bath taper in from the top reducing the area to stand on.

Excellent breakfast and dinner Kudos to the staff lady Who so diligently helped us move from our first room to the second. We had requested the move because of the wedding right next to our first room. She was so so helpful and pleasant. She had long hair and was an attractive, middle-aged woman, many thanks to her.

Just fine the way it was

3 of us had 3 separate rooms during our 2 night stay, the reception staff were very welcoming, rooms were immaculately clean and very well maintained as was the full hotel top to bottom, beds super comfy, bathrooms sparkling & spotlessly clean & overall room size was large with adequate storage for clothes etc. In the morning guests are welcomed in to a really pleasant dining room by a lovely bright & bubbly lady member of the hotel staff. After being shown to your table, guests can place their orders from a wide selection of quality cold or hot food & drinks. Evening meals were really nice & correct portion sizes for ourselves. The hotel is excellent, well maintained, all staff super friendly, food was excellent & priced to suit most budgets. We can highly recommend a stay at New Inn Hotel & we’ll be returning guests when in the area again. Excellent!!!!

Excellent in every way - great food, warm welcome, good service, perfect location. We live in Ellon and eat at The New Inn regularly - just ourselves, with friends or with family - in groups of different sizes from two to twelve. We can recommend The New Inn wholeheartedly.

We had a family meal in this very attractive spotlessly clean hotel.Staff were welcoming and friendly. Exciting new menu which was difficult to choose from, I loved all! First class service as was the food. Highly recommended and I’d advise to book as it’s a very popular place.

We were here recently to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday. We opted for a cocktail making class/Afternoon Tea. The Afternoon Tea was delicious, a great selection of sandwiches, sausage rolls, scones & fine pieces. We then had a brilliant time learning how to make 3 cocktails in a private room and nothing was too much bother. Afterwards, we headed down to the bar for an evening of live music, which finished off our evening perfectly! A big shout out to Kathleen, Ryan, Will & Megan for looking after us. 100% recommended the New Inn.

We stayed at The New Inn Hotel in Ellon while attending a family wedding nearby and we were delighted with our choice. The first thing that stood out was the friendliness of every member of staff. They are an absolute credit to the hotel—nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. A special mention for the kindness shown when our nephew phoned to ask if he and his family could call into the hotel to get changed before the wedding. After checking with reception, they didn’t just say yes—they very kindly gave them a room to change in. Such a thoughtful gesture that went above and beyond and one we really appreciated. We had dinner in the hotel the evening before wedding and it was excellent. The breakfasts were equally enjoyable with plenty of choice and everything well prepared. We would highly recommend The New Inn to anyone visiting Ellon, we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

The staff Frances and Karen were exceptional,, welcoming and caring in their duties. Thank you also to the young staff who were on duty for breakfast each morning.

Das wunderschöne alte Hotel liegt im Zentrum von Ellon, ist mit dem Auto gut erreichbar, inklusive ausreichend Parkplätze für Hotelgäste. Die Mitarbeiter sind alle sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und super hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind von ausreichender Größe und bieten mit einem kleine Schreibtisch plus einem Sessel genügend Möglichkeiten, nach einem ereignisreichen Tag im Umland zur Ruhe zu kommen, bevor man ins extrem bequeme Bett fällt. Das Bad war etwas klein, aber mit einer geräumigen Duschkabine. Es war alles sehr sauber und authentisch und liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Frühstücksbuffet erschien auf den ersten Blick etwas übersichtlich, aber in Kombination mit den Optionen von der Karte mehr als ausreichend. Überhaupt waren die Speisen sowohl beim Frühstück als auch beim Abendessen hervorragen, innovativ und es war immer für jeden etwas dabei. Zu den Gästen gehören auch viele Ortsansässige, was eigentlich immer ein gutes Zeichen ist. Für den Abend empfiehlt es sich, vorher einen Tisch zu reservieren. Zum Hotel gehört auch ein Pub, der an den Wochenenden verschiedene Events im Programm hat. An unserem Ankunftstag gab es live Musik mit einem DJ und ich hatte erst die Befürchtung, dass man die Musik in den Zimmern hören würde. Aber obwohl unsere Zimmer auf dem Stockwerk direkt über dem Pub waren, habe ich nicht einen Pieps gehört. Durch die Lage im Zentrum von Ellon kann man die Stadt sehr gut zu Fuß erkunden und im direkten Umland gibt es zahlreiche Sehenswürdigkeiten für Tagesausflüge mit dem Auto. Von meiner Seite eine klare Empfehlung sowohl für ds New Inn Hotel als auch für die Gegend. Wenn wir können, kommen wir wieder.

Wenn ich unbedingt etwas schreiben muss, dann dass das Wetter etwas kalt war, dafür kann aber weder das Hotel noch die Stadt etwas :)

Sehr gepflegte, saubere Unterkunft. Alles hat funktioniert. Das Essen war hervorragend. Auch unser Hund war willkommen. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

The breakfast is very varied and superb choice - my husband loves the Scottish Fix. The accommodation is clean and spacious and very quiet. The Cornkist restaurant provided lovely evening meals and was busy the whole time which implies there is good food to be had. Excellent for the price

Our room was over the kitchen and the bins so it was noisy and the constant whirring from i think air con or fan was a bit annoying! However, stayed before in better rooms, probably best to upgrade i think. Also the times etc on the information in the room didn't state when the restaurant closed , we missed it on the Sunday as we were down later at 8.30pm and no food on . That was it really.

The property is clean , warm and quiet. One couldn’t tell there were activities downstairs. For me that’s 👌🏾

Staff members were friendly & helpful. There was safe parking for my car. Room was clean & the shower worked well. The food served in the restaurant was tasty. It was nice to walk out the front door & be able to have a walk along the riverside on a well maintained path.

Really enjoyed our overall stay, restaurant was excellent and the bar with live music was enjoyable. The staff even offered us an early breakfast on the Sunday as we were going to play golf, which was greatly appreciated.

Stayed with friends here for the weekend. Great experience from start to finish. Lovely clean rooms, comfortable. 2 of our friends rooms the heating wasn’t working but were supplied with heaters. Manager always asked if everything was alright. Food was amazing , even had a great gluten free options for my hubby who is caeliac. (No problems whatsoever). Highly recommend and we Will definitely be back

Property was centrally located and had parking which was a bonus. Had a fantastic bar with amazing staff and live music. Restaurant had a fab breakfast.

Perfect stay at New Inn hotel. Lovely, spacious room with large bathroom (with amazing water pressure and hot water in the shower!). Breakfast in the morning was delightful - cereal etc available from a buffet, and hot drinks and cooked food available to order. All staff were friendly and helpful. Also had a lovely dinner at the Cornkist. Would definitely stay again if in the area!

A fab stay! My room was warm, comfortable, spacious and clean. Had all the usual facilities. Any staff I encountered were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious. I had a brief 1 night stay at The New Inn, but I would happily recommend this hotel to a friend.

Pointing out procedure with hotel parking ahead of arrival ...... but it probably was written somewhere

I came here with my girlfriend earlier in the week for a good old slap up pub lunch, we had no booking but knew we needed something of the aforementioned style. So we chose the new inn hotel. When we arrived the place was empty, which filled me with equal amounts of optimism (as we wouldn’t be waiting too long for food) and worry, as I started to consider maybe the pub was intentionally avoided by the locals? The menu we were given was fantastic - it tailored every need for every type of person, with burgers, steaks, mac and cheese, and even some oriental dishes were on offer, however I wasn’t impressed for much longer as the waitress who served us promptly informed us that the grill was out of order - i was strung with melancholy and frustration at this point as my intention was to have a beef burger, however I didn’t let this curtail the meal, or my mood for too long. I ordered a mac and cheese, with salt and pepper chips, with some prawn cocktail sandwiches too. The mac and cheese was fantastic, creamy, stringy, and had that sharpe edge that all Mac and cheeses need. The prawn cocktail sandwiches were also delectable, creamy, tangy, and fresh prawns, on a fluffy piece of white bread. However, I was deflated by the salt and pepper chips, which were soggy, and didn’t have much taste beyond a strong hint of pepper. I certainly didn’t leave the new inn feeling disappointed, but would I say it was incredible? Probably not. But would I say it was what I was after. Yes I would, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
