Very good stay room was very clean the breakfast was amazing and lot of variety in food. Stay was very comfortable.staff was very polite and humble.will served everything and specially room view was very amazing.will stay again definitely next time

Very clean, hygienic and upscale interiors at a competitive price point. Loved the mountain view from the room and all facilities were excellent. Breakfast options are limited but delicious and service is prompt. Staff at the reception is courteous and helpful. Overall, I had a delightful stay and would recommend Treebo Varuna for a comfortable stay close to Mall Road, Shimla.

The basic room facilities were not properly maintained. The electric kettle provided in our room was broken, and the hotel did not have a replacement available. The food quality was also very poor and below expectations. The hotel does offer a beautiful view of Shimla, which is probably its biggest advantage. However, if you are travelling with family, especially with elderly people or children, the location can be quite inconvenient as the hotel is situated on a steep slope. Overall, while the view is good, the basic facilities, food quality, and accessibility need significant improvement. Considering the price, I expected much better service and facilities.

The hotel was well maintained and in a nice location, The staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful at the same time. We also had restaurants and other basic amenities stores just in front of the hotel so overall it was a pleasant stay.

The location was perfect .. not even 1 minute from AG Chowk! The view from our room window was perfect, just like in the photos.

The location and the people - Anil and Pravin at front desk were very responsive and always attentive to any of our needs. Suresh the senior Bell and the boys Ishant & Sanjay were always ready with a smile.

This hotel is located at a very prime location. Walkable close to mall road many spots are quiet close and they will provide the transportation service too the location is beautiful with mountain views from the rooms.staff is vary helpful

I am from Mauritius and we first came in Nov 2024 and came back again in March 2026. I had a wonderful stay at Treebo Varuna. The hotel’s location is perfect—just a short distance from Mall Road, making it very convenient for shopping, dining, and exploring the area. The cleanliness was impeccable throughout the property, from the rooms to the common areas, which made the stay even more comfortable. The staff truly stood out—they were polite, attentive, and always ready to help with any request. Overall, a great experience, and I will come back again.

Near to the mall road

We stayed in a deluxe room for one night (21-22March 2026), and it was large enough for a family of four. Located in a 10-15 minute walkable distance from the Mall Road and near the Shimla Kali Bari. Breakfast was served in the room itself, and it was decent. The view from the room to the valley was excellent. Also, a few local shops are available just opposite the hotel, and if someone likes local taste (veg/non-veg), then the location is perfect. We enjoyed the stay.

Most of the basic amenities were in the room. However, in this budget, I was expecting a few more bathroom amenities, such as brushes, combs, and shaving kits. It does not have a separate dining hall, so we have to take breakfast in the room.

The access to the hotel was not good especially if you’re a senior very hard to walk up no lifts available Be careful no taxis can reach the property no uber available leaving the hotel can be difficult the taxi people opposite will charge you exhorbitant prices

The mountain view from our room was unforgettable . It could be on a picture postcard, The tea and coffee kettle with unlimited refills was a nice facility. The wi fi speed was perfect for watching online movies and for online tasks . We could have used more dinner options though.

I had a wonderful stay at Treebo Varuna in Shimla. What I liked the most was the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. Another thing I liked was the polite and supportive staff. They were always ready to help and made sure everything was smooth for us. The location is also very convenient, making it easy to explore nearby places. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shimla. I had a pleasant stay at Treebo Varuna in Shimla. What I liked the most was the comfort of the room, the peaceful environment, and the beautiful view. The staff was polite, helpful, and always ready to assist. The location was also convenient, which made exploring the area easy. However, one small thing I didn’t like was that the bedsheet had a slight stain and did not feel completely fresh. I believe this can be improved with a little more attention to housekeeping. Apart from this minor issue, everything else was good, and overall it was a nice experience.

The access to hotel is difficult from the main road. As there is no car park at hotel. Had to walk. Way to hotel is up hill.

The staff didn’t care about renovation paint fumes stinking our room out. This meant that we had to open our windows and it made the room very cold, and they still charged us for a heater. The waiting and junior staff are much more professional than those behind the front desk.

Hi Booking.com, i lost my money 50% of booking cost. As i booked through Booking.com and option is directly pay to hotel, Later i got a pop up message stating we will cancel the reservation if you are not paying 50% advance immediately due to Booking.com trust we paid. When we reached the property no proper sign board how to reach we went another road there is no access to car. And no direct phone number to the reception...Hence we tried through Tree boo. Again there is so many procedures to connect to reception we tried all the way but unable to connect the property. And Tree boo asked us to chat through WhatsApp...mean time huge traffic and police came with Siren bike and asked us to move immediately. Hence with local reference and guidance i claimed hill road with 5min walk to reach the property myself and my wife is in the car and they are just roaming to park the car meantime. When i singed all papers and they taken my Aadhar as a id proof. Later when i asked how to bring the car near to Property, they spoke with driver and car came by other route to near the property, again there also police asked us to move quickly, we are unable to offload our luggage's from car. Instead of coming to the 72M away where the car is finding difficulties to offload the luggage's and police is shouting on us. The property reception guy is calling me over phone and saying it is not their responsibilities. Hence without any option and due to police waring we have to move out from that location. My phone charge is almost dead and unable to escalate this matter to Booking my.com immediately and unable to cancel my booking. Later we found other property with Car barking facility with good view and the rate is also very cheap. After recharging my mobile again i contacted Tree bo they told they will review and resolve it. But after that they told it is not property fault and as the car was stopped by police little far way. Later i checked it is only 72M i will attach the map.

In continuation to above window....am continuing here....Further Tree boo CC told if it is 100M property support to bring your luggage's. But in the map now am seeing it is only 72M. Due to that they are unable to refund my 50% amount which i my hard earn money how come they say like this, since the fault is from property after taken all my signatures they are not help me to bring my luggage from my car it is just 72M from property, we are ready to offload and bring, but police is continuously waring as the property person is not at all coming to spot just 72M away and he called me over phone and he told it is not their responsibilities if they just walk 72M the problem might be resolved from police and we may offload our luggage's and stay in that hotel. But all went vain. I booked this property because of Booking.com trust, but This Tree boo Varuna team is not at all supporting and i feel they always say pay at hotel while booking, later they will send cancelation msg, if 50% amount is not paying. because of that i paid money, after that no care and they are enjoying with my money. I noticed there is vacant in that property while i am signing the paper, as the other guest came and asked the reception guy and he too confirmed rooms are vacant. But very smart they are saying if you not paid advance your room is not able to hold as bookings are filling very fast. Now am like a ball pillar to pillar they are throwing when i ask refund from Tree boo. Treeboo customer care guy saying there is very near by railway parking is there and he asked why you are not went there. Am a new person to Shimla how come i know those places. We expected if the Hotel Reception is informed about that parking we might be went and park it and brought our luggage's to Hotel. But they intentionally hide this information as they want money without using their property. Hence i seeking Booking.com please interevent this matter and help me to get my advance back.

Not a complaint as it was very nice place but I asked if I could extend checkout til 4pm for a fee and they said it's a standard 1000 rupees. I thought that was too expensive but maybe that's normal. They did store my big bag for me in a secure room whilst I explored Shimla so I appreciated that.

Very peaceful location. The cloakroom facility was extremely useful after checkout since our Bus was late in the evening. Food options could improve, but otherwise completely satisfied. Highly recommended.

Good balance of modern facilities and mountain charm. The smart TV was nice for Netflix at night. Wi fi worked okay. The Travel Desk helped us to plan our sightseeing. Wish they had more dessert choices. Will surely visit again.
