Air-Dale Fishing and Hunting

This was one of the best stays we have experienced on our vacations. It was a gorgeous lake view and awesome cabin to rest at for a couple of nights on our Lake Superior Circle Tour. Would recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful cabin getaway!

Beautiful lodge and property. Checked in late in the evening and we were welcomed by the staff. The dining room is such a lovely place to relax, have a drink and dinner. The service was excellent and so quick! Had a quick sighting of a young bear wandering by along with a fantastic view of the lake. Our room was excellent and was great for our two dogs. Their first lodge stay. Lots of room, well equipped kitchen facilities and a much appreciated shower after a few days of chilly camping. Only downside was an uncomfortable mattress but it didn’t stop us from getting a good nights sleep. We’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a great view and a welcome respite after a long day of driving.

Stellar communication between myself and the owners. I was checking in ridiculously late due to car troubles and they were so accommodating. The room was spacious and comfortable. Instructions for everything from dining, check-in and internet were clear and comprehensive. They have thought of everything. Beautiful location. And wonderful to fall asleep to the waves. My one personal interaction was with the restaurant server, who was bubbly and warm. Will 100% be returning and highly recommend to anyone looking to truly relax.

We stopped by on our way around Lake Superior. We are a party of 6 and wanted to have a common area to spend our evenings together. We arrived late and Jenn our host made sure we were welcomed and fed.

We've stayed here a few times prior to flying into fishing lodges. Great facility and the people are awesome. Always enjoy the visit.

We were amazed by the location, view, and hospitality that already made plans to go back. Jen was a great hostess. Eventhough their restaurant is closed on Tuesdays, she hand prepared our supper and breakfast. She was very easy to communicate with and made sure we are comfortable throughout the stay.

I was traveling through and stayed for one night, I wish I could have stayed longer! I wasn’t sure what to expect off the beaten path, but I was greeted by a friendly host who quickly gave me check in information. Beautiful location on the lake, great cabin and well decorated! I really enjoyed the screened in porch with my dogs. If I stayed longer, sparking the bbq would be a great perk. I would definitely return driving through again!

The cabins was comfortable very clean and the property was well kept. We only spent one night but would have loved to stay longer for the full experience they had to offer. Lovely lake view and very quiet. The just was very pleasant to deal with we would definitely stay there again if we are in the area😊

Had the penthouse suite, was a great room with full view over the lake. Relaxed place, we rented a fishing boat and it worked very good.

Stay are so helpful and the cabins are really well equipped! They had everything we needed for a quick fishing weekend!

We went in August, weather was cold, right on water but cabin had propane heater so it worked out pretty good. I forgot my fishing rods but thanks to Mike and Jennifer they arranged it. Overall it was amazing experience. Loved it.

Air-Dale was a little further out than I was expecting. We were going to head into town for some food and they saved us a trip. They opened up their restaurant for us and others and served us a delicious fish and chips meal. Air-Dale was a peaceful place right on the water. We would stay again.

The hosts are really welcoming, and make sure their guests have everything they need at all times. Bonus: The place is easy to get to, even if it's in the bush. The property is beautiful, the facilities are super clean and well maintained. Well worth visiting!

Jenn was on hand to great us personally and to ensure we had a nice and comfortable stay. Our Penthouse apartment had an absolutely breathtaking view - sitting and watching the sunrise with a hot coffee in hand, it was hard to leave - thanks!

Always love staying here. Beautiful quiet spot with the best balcony view of the lake, comfortable bed and always a nice place to be. I just wish I didn't have to leave so early in the morning so I could enjoy it more. I'm always hesitant to give such great reviews because I want to keep this place to myself. But in my opinion, I wouldn't even think to stay anywhere else close to Wawa. I'm hoping to plan a trip where it's not just passing through for work where I can stay for longer and take in more of the wilderness. Maybe even plan an actual fly-in spot.

The cabin is spacious and very comfortable. Everything is updated and in good working order. And the setting on the lake is stunning.

The lake view was great and we enjoyed the peaceful natural serenity. The hosts were friendly and down to earth.

I've traveled and stayed at many lodges, camps, motels, and hotels all throughout Northern Ontario. This was by far one of the most beautiful and comfortable places I have ever stayed. If you are staying over night anywhere within an hour of Wawa, you are just wasting an opportunity and money if you are booking anywhere else. If you don't mind driving 20min extra, this is the place to stay every time. I know I will be.

Absolutely above expectations, a quiet haven after a long road trip. Pleased the 2 and four legged members of our family, with beautiful views, clean swimible water and safe space to bike and run around in.

Great spot and great service

I booked my cabin the day of to avoid overnight driving. I called them and explained I'd be in fairly late and they were really accommodating. I was able to find the property easily in the dark and able to navigate to my cabin thanks to their property map! The room was very nice, shower was great, bed was comfy, and the property is beautiful. Checking out was a breeze. I'd definitely love to come back for a vacation stay. Just a note that there is no cell service. Thank you for the hospitality!

Very friendly young lady checked us in & also waited on us when we ate. The property was out away from town & there was a stretch of gravel road to get to it, but such a lovely setting by the lake. Watched a beaver & ducks swimming in the lake & a gorgeous sunset! Room was clean & comfortable with a fully equipped kitchenette we didn't use. Would have loved to stay longer.

If you like fishing - this is the place to go!

Awesome staff and customer service. Came in very late at night and they waited for us to guide us in to our cabin. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Highly recommended!

The staff were friendly, food was great, loved the lodge and the surrounding nature.

Was a bit further out of the way - 30 minutes from Wawa than we wanted. We were very tired travelling all day. But the scenery was beautiful. If planning to make this a stay over - make sure you are aware and have the energy to drive the 30 extra minutes. Otherwise it was a beautiful stay and we wished we could have had more time to enjoy the property as it was gorgeous.

Good experience to disconnect from the grid and enjoy a nice rustic vibe. Recommend for fishing and extended stays, not suitable for business travelers. I had to book as there was nothing else available in Wawa. Reached late(host was really accommodating and prompt with communication), comfortable sleep, left early in morning. The only thing that can be improved is the Wifi, since there’s no cell reception there. And the Lakeview could have been better. I had booked a Lakeview cabin and the one I got wasn’t a proper Lakeview. Overall decent experience for a stop and go !

The lake view in the morning is nice. Our cabin is clean and very cozy! Friendly staff and we had fire pit for our own.

It was a nice stay. Beautiful surroundings.

The cabin was located on a beautiful lake and had everything you would need inside ie kitchen, bath and bedding. When I booked the cabin I was not aware it was a semi-detached cabin as this is not highlighted in ad so when another family rented the other half for one night, it was extremely noisy listening to doors and other banging noises. Definitely something to be aware of!! I would book it again but would make sure family and friends book the other half as it would make an amazing, memorable vacation.

Accommodation in lakeside cabins. Rustic but functional. Great 1 night stay on way though Ontario. Lodge provides breakfast and dinner if required.

Not the building shown on their advertisement , it is not even on the property. It looked like a nice lodge but they are old individual cabins. A fun stay for a family with kids or someone that enjoys fishing. TV doesn’t work, no outlet in the bathroom, very old twin beds (no queen or king), no locks on the doors or curtains in the bathroom or back room windows.

This was our second visit - on our return journey, as we liked it so much. Our cabin was well equipped, and looked on the lake. We enjoyed every minute of our stay - and hope to visit again. Lovely staff. We recommend!

Gorgeous place. We would spend the day hiking and come back to the hotel in the afternoon, we then would drink a beer and and sit in the deck feeling we were in paradise. Extramely friendly service. We would go back any time.

The view of the lake was so nice, it has a very peaceful atmosphere. You can go canoeing, there is a fire pit and the rooms were very clean.

Great location and clean room with comfortable pillows and a full kitchen. The lake is gorgeous and it wasn’t that far off the highway. Worth the 20 minutes for a quiet sleep and fresh air.

The lodge and rooms are very clean and well appointed. But bring your own food because one salad, one fries and two modest burgers cost $50!

Wonderful stay with great view of lake

I had the best sleep in years.. country air... ling drive but arrived 9pm and had a nice quiet night... will be there again soon... heading to manitoba for christmas! So looking to have two stays on the way there and back!

We had an awesome time staying here. Our Airedale Terrier loved this place too as they were so dog friendly. Jenn and Martin looked after us so well and we’re super friendly. The dinner and breakfast were perfect. Great people and vibe 👍

Fantastic stay, employees were so nice and friendly and we had everything that was needed. Beds were really warm and comfortable. Surprised there was usable Wifi! TV was fantastic. Units were really spacious. Breakfast is included. Only a couple of points that I had for reference: 1) Wifi got more difficult to connect further from the main office 2) Cabin sofa doesn’t look particularly garnished in awhile 3) The stove was pretty hard to light. Minor things compared to the great points. 4.5/5 would definitely come again.

Perfect place to stay on lake have BBQ, boating and scenic view on flight. Excellent hospitality and great people on site to make your vacation perfect.

The lodge is awesome! It is 20 mins away from Wawa though. It's a bit of far and with rough road. But lodge by a lake is wonderful. We lived in the lodge connected to the office/restaurant. It's quiet at night and it is spacious. I recommend this place!! Great breakfast included!!

Great location about 20 min out of Wawa. Quiet friendly staff rooms are spacious and clean they have thought of everything and the view is amazing. They also offered a home made breakfast. If you love to hunt and fish this is perfect or just to relax by the water in peace.

Fantastic find! Most beautiful night sky finished off a fish fry that was recently caught. Great off the beaten path location and even better people there.

Mice in the cabin made for an interesting night. It is a hunting and fishing camp so I don’t know what I expected. The place was definitely cool to stay at.

Had a ground floor, Lakeview room in the lodge and were able to enjoy the scenery/property both from within the room and also from the attached screened porch. The view was lovely.

This is truely a beautiful spot. Hidden away in the wilderness but with all the comforts of home. The host, Jen is just lovely. Very friendly and accomodating. We were originally only going to stay 1 night but before arriving decided to switch to 2 nights. It wasn't a problem and to top it off got our room upgraded to a beautiful penthouse suite/ 1 bedroom apartment with large screened in balcony and gorgeous views of the lake which is at our doorstep. Everything is clean and well maintained in the lodge. The main lodge dining room is closed due to COVID however Jen provides breakfast items to the room for you to cook yourself, like breakfast sausage, eggs and toast. The main lodge itself is really neat with a rustic charm, wood log design with Moose, wolves, deer, etc as part of the decor. Great spot to escape the hustle of city life.

What an amazingly serene place this is. No road noise, nothing but being in nature. We stayed 2 nights and Jenn and staff made us feel comfortable and at home. We would definitely recommend AirDale Lodge to anyone looking for peace and quiet and good fishing. We can’t wait to be able to stay there again when we travel that way.

Owner and staff were very personable and made us feel very welcomed. The property is listed in Wawa and is actually about 20 miles out of town.

This place is a little backwoods oasis right on the lake! The room was clean and spacious with a screened front porch overlooking the water. Their staff are amazing; friendly, down-to-earth and willing to go out of their way to make you feel at home. I will be back with my fishing gear!

This was a little place in Paradise. We were confused to find it 20 km outside of Wawa but it was well worth the drive. We have never stayed at a hunting and fishing lodge but it was quite special.

We stayed for one night on our road trip from Thunder Bay to Orillia. The staff is very friendly and breakfast and dinner were very good. We would definitely stay here again!

The luxury penthouse was exceptionally comfortable and new.

We last-minute added this stop to a long cross-country drive with 2 kids and 2 dogs, and we're surprised as heck, but we'll be back as a destination! The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. There was a screened-in porch right on the lake, which is gorgeous, crystal-clear, and just stunning. We swam in it in the evening and morning. The staff were really, absolutely lovely; everyone was friendly and welcoming and did their best to make our stay great. We will definitely be back for a longer stay, it was one of our favourite stops on our trip and I highly recommend it. We saw a few guides taking people out and they were extremely courteous and everyone seemed very happy with the quality of fishing and hunting. Really awesome!

The remote location and atmosphere was outstanding. Great breakfast and excellent service! We would love to have been able to stay longer. Our next trip will definitely include the fly in option.
