Extensive noisy ground works being undertaken, the TV signal distribution system was faulty so no TV, one of the staff was argumentative when discussing our bad experience.

Nice clean and comfortable room. Lovely food and great breakfast.

We had to close the window as the smell of the septic tank renovation was dreadful. The staff made it very clear that the chef had a meltdown to all the customers when a few of us ordered dinner well before the cut off time at 18.15... the TV didn't work.

Es war sehr ruhig. Sehr offener, herzlicher Empfang. Das Frühstück war super und zum Glück im neu renovierten Raum. Die Anlage ist grün und weitläufig. Viele Parkplätze sind vorhanden.

Unser Zimmer war sehr heiß mit Blick auf den Müllcontainer, sehr viele Spinnennetze und ein altes Nebengebäude. Es roch draußen eklig, so dass Lüften keine Option war. Es war nur 1 Stuhl vorhanden für 2 Personen. Ein Topper im Bett, dass man nicht die einzelnen Stahlfedern spürt, würde ich mir wünschen. Das Haupthaus wird gerade renoviert, was sich notwendig ist.

Clean and comfortable room in a very quite location. Staff were all very helpful. We chose this hotel as a convenient place to stay after a show at Bexhill, at a reasonable price.

I'm unable to use a bath, and would have liked a shower, however I forgot to specify that. The TV reception was very poor.

Not shown dining room which would have been helpful to eat dinner and breakfast at. Only discovered the room by chance when checking out. Heater in bedroom was broken so had to move rooms as it was a very cold night.

The rooms were big and spacious and the property and club house are being upgraded. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and delicious

Frühstück war sehr gut, Gegend Ruhig, da es sich um einen Golfplatz handelt. Wir haben auch zu Abend gegessen, das Essen war besser als wir erwartet hatten

Zimmer waren überhaupt nicht sauber. Unter dem Bett hat man die Dreckkrümel und Staubbällchen gesehen. Es wurde anscheinend nur grob gewischt, da man in den Ecken überall Staub sah. Die Einrichtungen waren auch sehr alt und sollten mal erneuert werden.

Beautiful, peaceful and quiet setting with nice views overlooking the golf.

The facilities are very run down. The carpet in the room was stained and there were stains on the walls. The extractor fan and 3 out of 4 lights in the bathroom didn't work. The seal around the bathtub is cracked and mouldy. The table where the kettle and coffee bits is heavily scratched and damaged. The dining room/bar is equally run down and we didn't want to stay for breakfast. Overall very disappointing as the location and setting is lovely.

Exceptional stay from start to finish. The rooms were clean, amazingly spacious and offered plenty of room to relax. The staff were fantastic, friendly and professional throughout. Don’t skip the breakfast, either; it was absolutely delicious and set us up perfectly for the day. We’ll definitely be back!"

The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the tea and coffee making supplies were ample.

There were numerous guests during our stay and lots of doors that slammed, perhaps consider closers on the fire doors so they don't slam so easily and disturb other guests.

Breakfast was great and the location was wonderful.The room was large,clean and comfortable with a lovely outlook.It was warm and quiet.

Oh my days this is by far the best hotel we have stayed in. The staff where so friendly and accommodating it was amazing. Even though we only stayed for one night it was the best night. The food was incredible the best breakfast ever and again staff who served us where so kind. And we had a lovely view to wake up watching golfers it was lovely. Thank you so much to everyone.

Stayed at Sedlescombe Golf Hotel in a ‘King’ room as a couple during August on a weekend break. Rooms are large and well equipped with very large beds. Bathrooms large with his & her sinks and corner bath. No shower, which is the only negative of the whole weekend. Breakfast & service at the golf club was very good with plenty of food, well prepared and presented. No evening meals offered which meant travelling out to eat (car or taxi required). All staff were very polite & helpful. Well done guys.

Le calme de la nature. La gentillesse du personnel, à l'accueil, au petit-déjeuner, une femme d'ouvrage dans notre couloir.

Nous avons tout apprécié chez vous. Les derniers kilomètres avant d'arriver à votre hotel, la route était dangereuse (des tournants et impossibilité de faire demi-tour si c'était nécessaire). Je n'ai pas apprécié le prix d'un restaurant à 3 km.

The size of the room.

The amenities are quite dated, which I don't mined if they work, but the shower was barely working.

The room was pefect for a family of four. The brekfast was lovely. The staff were helpful and friendly.

The place is very nice. Food was delicious.

The shower is nice, but I don't really like the old-style design because it isn't very convenient. You have to hold the shower head while you're showering. And the bed is a bit hard.

Very comfortable accommodation in a peaceful setting within a short walk of the Golf Club and School. Splendid on-site restaurant with friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Well appointed, large room with a large bathroom that included a double sink and large bath tub - no 'stand up' shower. The breakfasts were excellent and although the kitchen shut relatively early in the evening, food choice and quality from the menu was superb. Would definitely return.

There is no stand-up shower in the bathroom, it is a hand-held over the (large) bath. Not the end of the world, but good to know.

Evening meal finished at 6.00pm. Had delay due to traffic when arriving. Arrived at 7.00pm, no staff around, note on door to say how to get in to room. Could not have an evening meal.

improper information was given about door code access to the building resulting in a huge inconvenience for me and disrupting the reason I was travelling. then one staff member was extremely rude to me in the morning and the others were ambivalent at best.

Very nice staff welcomes you in a club next to a small hotel block with spacious and clean room. The breakfast was amazing, it’s a multiple choice option (not a buffet) between various options like full English, salmon and eggs, pancakes, avocado and eggs, etc. The place is quiet and there’s plenty of safe parking in the club right next to the hotel block.

The shower was lacking pressure and no curtain/wall in bath tub.

There was no shower. Just a handheld shower over the bath. Difficult to regulate temp and if you raised the shower head the water pressure was poor. I hate baths and expect a decent shower at a hotel. Everything else was great and we were there for two nights so managed but would not have wanted to stay longer without a proper shower.

Very affordable. Air conditioning! Yummy pub food and bar for when you arrive and the best breakfast options. Breakfast starts with coffee, tea, juices, and croissants and then you have your choice of at least 5 items off the menu including a full English breakfast.

The rooms with the attached baths only have bath tubs with shower heads. Loved the attached baths but a shower would have been ideal. Still a great place to stay.

The breakfast was included in the price, was very generous with plenty of options. The staff were very pleasant, polite and welcoming. Sitting outside to eat breakfast in the sun, looking across to the woods and fields was a relaxing way to start the day. The bed was clean and there were plenty of options for hot drinks.

Perhaps have a tick list to check everything is covered when changing over for the next guest. My bin had not been emptied and the loo could have done with a quick clean.

Filthy room carpet discusting dirty and badly stained. Dirty sifa and chair civerwd in crisps on arrival. Broken wood worm unfested chestvof draws. Non wirking bedside lamp. Uncomfortable lumpy mattress and bed that someone had sat on already.. bathoom clean but dated. Room walls scuffed and need painting. Patio door glass so dirty yiu can hatdly see out with dirty curtains... all in all dreadful with no manned rexeption after 6pm and a very tatty club house that was grotty. I have photos. We didnt stay we checked out after 3 hours and drive home... a ruined birthday get away.

Endroit calme en pleine nature, c'est très reposant la nuit. Le personnel est aux soins. Le petit déjeuner est bien bon. Hautement recommandé.

There were stains on my towels... in my friends room, the waste bin was not cleared, there was waste (for example banana skins and other sneaky items) the breakfast was OK, but the hollandaise sauce and smoker salmon was not very nice.

Checked in and greeted by staff who were friendly and said happy to recommend local eateries, places to visit etc We ate lunch there. Food good and served promptly. Room was clean and comfortable. Great spot for local family party we were attending. Also had breakfast there the next day with family. Great food, prompt service, great views.

This is our “go to place” when we know we are coming to Bexhill we have used this place several times, and each time it’s as good as the last time.

Beautiful peaceful location with lovely views from the room, huge room with a comfortable bed and armchairs, good tea and coffee tray Excellent cooked Breakfast. No Buffet items out or on the menu. e.g Fruit Cereal or yoghurt, but we were given fruit when we asked for if we could have some Pleasant staff, Good location for seeing the local sights.

The Room itself was lovely apart from a couple of issues. Faulty Air con unit which dripped water when turned on and a hot tap on one of the two wash basins in the bathroom was totally seized & un useable. We reported these on the second morning of our stay , but we got no feedback & the issues were dealt with. On our last night the A/C unit started to drip water about 10.30pm it continued all night, this time the unit wasn't even on. The noise of this, combined with hot weather, led to a very poor nights sleep. I spoke to the manager the next day he was polite & helpful. We received a part refund. overall I'm happy.

Great night's sleep in a king room with a Juliette balcony. Big bathroom with a lovely tub. The food was traditional, and the steak and ale pie was outstanding, the staff friendly and welcoming. It's a shame that the clubhouse closes so early in the summer. A few tweeks and this place would be outstanding. We will definitely stay again. *Top class pillows.

We stayed for one night but would be delighted to stay much longer! All the golf club accommodation is in a separate building away from the main clubhouse. It has it's own parking area. We booked a Queen Room and we thought we were given the wrong room at first. It is room 7, ground floor, and had a lovely four poster bed! The bed was very comfortable. Word of warning, anyone of less than average height would struggle to get onto the bed, it's high, lol. The room is big, with beautiful views out onto parts of the fairway but feels private and secluded by the trees. Lovely, calming view. The en-suite bathroom was equally impressive (except for the door, see below). Plenty of wardrobe and drawer storage. An iron and ironing board are to be found in a store room close by. Hairdryer is supplied in the room. A very good price for what you get. We didn't include breakfast in our stay, as Battle is a very short drive away and many small cafes offer breakfast options. Do visit Battle, it's very pretty with lots of independent shops. Overall, an excellent location, beautifully equipped and just a short drive away from Battle.

Location is lovely and very big spacious rooms with plenty of storage. Bathroom again was a big size and the bath was a pleasant surprise and if we’re in the area again will definatly re book.

We missed not having a mini fridge of some sort just to keep some drinks and food in purely because we were on special diets and were restricted to the foods we could have so needed to bring our own. The air conditioning unit wasn’t working properly when calling for cold air which made it difficult to get to sleep as this was one of the reasons booking the hotel. Soon as we notified the staff in the morning they were extremely helpful and try really hard to locate a fan for us to which we were extremely grateful and had a wonderful nights sleep.

Easy friendly check in, lovely terrace for breakfast. Really good value breakfast cooked well. Room was big, fresh, clean and bright. Great aircon. Really quiet and we slept beautifully.

The TV signal was terrible and the channels that did work were glitchy. The only shower is a hand held shower head over the bath with low pressure.

The staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating. Such a tranquil hotel with lovely facilities. I don't actually play golf and so it's never really occurred to me to stay in a golf hotel before but I will seek them out now! The bar and snacks were great, lots of choice on drinks and seating.

My only issue was the tv aerial was a little glitchy, but I had my laptop so just steamed instead.

Sedlescombe Golf Hotel is een fijn hotel voor wie in Engeland onderweg is naar het zuidwesten. Iets meer van een uur gelegen van Dover/Folkstone was het voor ons een mooie tussenstop, ook als je geen golfer bent. De familiekamer die wij hadden (17) was ruim en voldeed prima. De airco was met de warmte echt een bonus. Het hotel is iets gedateerd en de algemene ruimtes kunnen een likje verf gebruiken, maar voor een short stay is het meer dan prima. Het ontbijt ‘s ochtends - a la carte - is uitstekend en de bediening was erg aardig.

Jammer dat het restaurant niet open was ‘s avonds, maar gelukkig was er een prima pub in de buurt.

There was an over-powering smell of dampness in the room. We couldn't sleep the smell was so strong, even though we kept the windows open all night. Smell was not coming from the bathroom but the room itself. We would not have stayed if we had not arrived so late at night.

The hotel is situated in a quiet location, the room was excellent, good size with the additional benefit of air conditioning . Great selection for breakfast.

Lovely stay with kind arrangements made for our late arrival. Very spacious & comfortable clean room at a price that was good value. Both the gentleman and young lady at the desk manning reception and the restaurant were most courteous, flexible and (along with the amazing environment) would be good reasons to return again. I should mention my lovely breakfast of generous salmon & scrambled egg on toast, eaten while surveying the golf course in the open air. Bliss.

Absolutely beautiful breakfast, really peaceful grounds and hotel area other than a few golfers here and there. The hotel was so quiet we didn’t actually see anyone else which was perfect for us.

The bins in the room were not changed, and we had no milk on the first night. Other than this, everything was exceptional

It's in a beautiful setting and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Have stayed here many times before and all the rooms are great. There is air conditioning and the WiFi is good. Tea/coffee and biscuits are a nice touch. The staff are very welcoming.

There are only baths with a shower attachment over. It would be nice if there were shower facilities. The TV is a little on the small side and in our room the signal for BBC kept breaking up. Some of the lights in our bathroom were not working. Despite the negatives I wouldn't hesitate in going there again.
