La tranquilidad, un lugar limpio, ordenado y donde todo el personal te trata fenomenal.

Algunas cosas no funcionaban correctamente. AACC de una de las habitaciones y la ducha atascada.

Breakfast was excellent, from the facilities, variety, personnel and quality of food served. Our main attendant Georgina as well as all others were friendly and accommodating to all requests which they courteously satisfied.

A small convenience /souvenirs shop in the property would have enhanced our experience as well as a full body mirror in the room. But there was nothing to dislike about.

Me encanta este Hotel, todo me gusta, es un mini apartamento con su cocina equipada, si quieres salir a comer lo haces, sino puedes quedarte en la habitación, la playa está a 3 minutos caminando.

Really beautiful hotel with excellent facilities. The suites are huge and very well decorated. Staff were really welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

Espectacular todo. Pero quiero resaltar que en diciembre del año 2025 pasamos el año nuevo toda la familia, y una hija nuestra dejó un bulto con zapatos y prendas (aretes, pulseras) entre otras cosas valiosas, y cuando nosotros regresamos es semana santa, nos informaron que algo quedó en una de las habitaciones que rentamos, y que trataron de comunicarse con nosotros, y esto lo valoro demasiado, o sea es un hotel serio, respetuoso y un servicio espectacular, estamos muy satisfechos con todo. Lo recomiendo 100%

Es cómodo, muy tranquilo y el Restaurante Gaspar es excelente, buenas comidas, buenas atenciones. Hay que destacar la calidad del chef Rodolfo y la camarera Georgina

El restaurante El embarcadero que esta ubicado en la playa es un desastre. No hay organización en el servicio de camareros, llevan la comida equivocada a los comensales. La comida es tan mala que la dejamos y tuvimos que ir a cenar a otro restaurante.

Breakfast was diverse and tasty. Staff very kind and helpful. Hotel is situated in the beautiful tropical garden. All experience was fantastic.

La playa y las piscinas son espectaculares, el cuarto es amplio y demasiado cómodo. Además, la atención de Pablo en la entrada fue espectacular. Los restaurantes deliciosos. Sin duda un lugar para regresar y recomendar.

Excelente ubicación, buenas instalaciones, buen mantenimiento y limpieza. Las piscinas cómodas y la playa muy tranquila y agradable

La comida en general puede ser de mejor calidad, más fresca y el servicio más rapido. Pueden modernizar un poco algunas instalaciones.

Hotel Hemingway was a beautiful place, short walk across the street to their sister property Club Hemingway with access to the beach and short walk to an excellent Argentinian restaurant called Paladart. Service was excellent from the gentleman at front desk (sorry I forgot his name). There is some construction on a sidewalk in between the hotel but they were done by 5ish.

Check in was a breeze , no issues at all. Staff were quiet attentive in the dining , bar , front desk . Also to give a shout out to the chef ! Great dinner . I will return when given the opportunity. 5 ⭐️

Walking to the beach

The breakfast was good if you went down early, lots of fresh fruit, donuts and pastries, variety of breads and cheeses. The hotel is close to the beach, lovely walk in the morning, never crowded or loud, very peaceful and relaxing.

For breakfast - yogurt selection could have been better, only 1 flavor available most days, the cooked food was not great, bacon fried within an inch of its life, sausages wrinkly and unappetizing. Dinner was not good at all, the food at Gaspar was very underwhelming, either tasteless or over salted, the staff, though lovely, were quite slow, we witnessed many tables waiting far too long for service which seemed to be due to a lack of staff. Being that after a long day at the beach you don't always want to walk back to the beach for dinner this restaurant needs to be better, many nights there was no one there and I'm sure it was due to the level of food and service. Chiringuito was the same, lack lustre food, pasta swimming in sauce, over salty, understaffed. Embarcadero - beautiful setting, great attentive staff, food was much better, especially the sushi which we only tried on the last day sadly, next time!

An amazing place, idyllic beach with plenty of pools and a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. The room (more like an apartment) was great, very clean and lovely cleaning staff who put extra effort in. The restaurants are quite expensive and probably not worth the price, but there are enough other options within a 5 minute walk, so this isn’t a problem. The hotel grounds and beach are beautiful. We spent most days just going between the beach, sea and pool and still miss it weeks after leaving. Wish we were back there. The extra activities like horse riding and sports facilities weren’t explained to us, but maybe they’d be available if you ask about them. Plus there are some lovely cats and kittens wandering about who are very affectionate if you’re kind to them!

The hotel is lovely. We had a spacious junior suite. We were two female travelers. They made up the sofa bed for us. The king bed was very comfortable. They had top of the line toiletries, L'Occitane. All staff were helpful and friendly. We ate on the beach two days. Staff was accommodating.

Place is super elegant, clean, safe, family oriented, very professional the people in the front desk and the cleaning people. Everyone is super helpful. I recommended this hotel to everyone you would no regret at all.

Excellent services and facilities.

The size of the suites were amazing In the balcony was absolutely beautiful! The patio furniture on the balcony might need a little bit more attention from the cleaning staff and providing a few more towels to the room. Everything else was absolutely spectacular. The king size bed was so comfortable including the bedding and pillows. I would definitely recommend this place. A few more vegetarian options would be great for breakfast but overall it was absolutely delicious. The cleaning stuff was very friendly.

I thought the property was nice, but not necessarily reflective of the price. A little further away from the beach than I thought. Breakfasts and meals were good. Grounds were well kept and enjoyable. Mattress was way too soft for my liking and probably my most negative experience. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

The grounds were stunning and immaculate and staff were very friendly and professional. The breakfast options included with the stay could have been more varied but the dining options in the area for the remainder of the day were fantastic.

Casa Hemingway was beautiful with outstanding service from the reception to the cleaning crew. The restaurant service, food and staff were all amazing and accommodating to our family. Thank you for making our stay memorable. We will return!

The property is beautiful and relaxing. The staff is welcoming and responsive to our needs and requests.

This is my 4th time staying at Casa Hemingway. Unfortunately this 4th time did not meet my expectations based on my previous stays. They did not mop our 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite floors. They did not replace my towels, however when requested they did bring them to the room. The 2 bedroom suite’s microwave was not working. The cleaning staff did not clean the coffee maker on our first day. The one bedroom suite’s bedroom television was not working. The property had more mosquitoes than at any other previous stay. While there I only got to take one warm shower. The shower temperature control in the fist bathroom did not get warm. In the second bathroom the temperature of the shower switched between cold and hot while showering and in the one bedroom suite’s bathroom one had to jiggle and play with the handle in order to get hot water. One had to know the trick. I usually do not write bad reviews but because I love staying at this property I hope they take my constructive criticism and fix the issues. It’s my favorite place to stay when I have to travel to Santo Domingo. I will definitely try Casa Hemingway one more time and hope that the issues on this current visit were just an unfortunate exception. Oh also, when the electricity blackout happened, their power plant was not working. This is the first time I experience this anywhere in a DR hotel/resort.

The absolutely most beautiful place to be!

Nice hotel, nice location, great beach and friendly service! Only I'd recommend eating elsewhere, except El Embarcadero but all other restaurants (La Trattoria, Gaspar) leave much to be desired yet prices are hefty. Breakfast could use improvement too.

La comida es pésima, el servicio al cliente horrible. Recomendado para dormir cómodamente en hab limpias y utilizar las instalaciones y salir a comer a restaurantes cercanos. Dicen que es PET frendlly pero tienen tantas restricciones para las mascotas que realmente es mejor que no sean acogidas. Para volver al hotel es preferible rentar un departamento.

We spent two nights at Casa Hemingway. On arrival, our prearranged and honestly quite expensive transportation was not at the airport. I called the hotel and after waiting for the desk clerk to research, she informed me that our ride would be there is 30 minutes. 40 minutes later our ride arrived. He was very kind and we arrived safely. On checking in, we were given pointing directions where restaurants were. I later went out and asked for a map which I was then given. We also had to request bedding for our third guest. We did have a couple frustrations: 1. There were only two bottles of water for three people in the fridge and when we asked for more, we were charged for this. 2. We had family staying down the road so would have loved to share a meal or swim with them and were told that would cost $50 each. This was really disappointing as we were graciously welcomed into their facility. 3. We were charged for breakfast when I distinctly recall checking the box on payment from Hotels.com for breakfast. This was embarrassing as we were walking out and chased down by the waiter when we thought it was included. Overall, I would say the stay was adequate and a unique experience. For the price, I would likely stay somewhere else or rent a condo on return as we truly lived the area and the people. The food, beach and pools were excellent! The restaurant we went to had excellent food and very friendly and attentive staff despite being very busy!

Romantic and family friendly

A hidden gem in Juan Dolio. It’s across the street from the beach in a very quiet and secluded area. Beautiful gardens, very spacious and clean rooms. Many great amenities a short stroll away, gym, church, restaurants, pool and private beach.

I really like how nice the staff were and how beautiful the property is. You feel very safe. It’s a great place for families to enjoy a stay in the Dominican Republic.

I feel the rooms/suite could have been a bit cleaner. I also did not enjoy the food. The only food we recommend is the breakfast (which is included with your stay) and the restaurant, La Terraza (located at Playa Hemingway tower). For the most part the food at the other restaurants were undercooked and just didn’t taste good.

The property is very nice, breakfast is much better. Staff is very service oriented.

There were electrical issues for more than 6 hours at least, the room air conditioner and TV dinner room were not working properly. Bed was a noisy.

Transportation in golf cart to the beach which is a touch distant would have made the experience feel More relaxing

The front desk staff was great and very helpful. The cleaning people were very nice and accommodating. The breakfast was really good, and the location was close to the beach and restaurants.

The hot water in one of our bathrooms wasn’t working, but it wasn’t enough of a problem to complain about.
