Room was far too hot, that was my only negative

I did not use the WiFi but my child and mother did. Staff were friendly and could not do enough for you. I felt the hall way had a smell ( lack of ventilation ) and the room (cleaning product). All very clean. Windows only open slightly, there was some secure cord preventing opening any wider. Breakfast was good had a variety of choices. This is my second stay here in a number of years. Location is good not far from bus station and in walking distance from the train station.

Smell in corridor and bathroom. The seal around the bath had black mould, could benefit from anti mould spray but clean other than that. Floor was creaky.

Didn’t realise this was a Green King but that didn’t put us off. It was clean, lovely big bed and white thick towels (very important) and very friendly staff. We chose this as we were at a wedding on Teasses Estate and it was only an approx 10 min taxi ride. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The town itself seems almost unforgotten - very quiet with not much going on. However, it does have a regular train running to Edinburgh which was very helpful.

Check in was a problem as we booked a double room and was given a twin. Was told i had booked a twin x 2 but when I showed my booking she said the double rooms are not available. After standing my ground and she “rang” someone my room was changed to a double. Extremely unprofessional double booking rooms

Great location, close to beach, shops and transport. Leven is underrated. Clean and comfortable with good food in the pub.

Rooms are only accessible by stairs which is an issue with luggage.

Comfortable beds, a clean and spacious bathroom. Amazing location. Good but not great breakfast.

As someone with a dust allergy, I noticed it because of the carpeted floor. We slept with the windows open, but it was quite noisy both outside and inside the hotel. I also found it a little strange to see a plastic wall in the bathroom.

We liked the location of the property and parking which was great , the staff were pleasant, breakfast was good but maybe ask if residents would like toast with their cooked food too.

I don’t like not having a fridge in the room for the milk as I detest the milk that was on the tray, not having a fan even though the windows were good sized we couldn’t have them open as it was very noisy . The pillows have seen better days a should invest in better quality bedding and protectors.

Breakfast was great value for money, good quality, plenty to choose from. Location fantastic as a base for exploring Fife coast.

Check in no problem, but lifting cases and bags upstairs was funny, few trips needed. Room magic massive bed windows all opened. Friends weekend away, men golfing, girls found plenty to fill in ours days.

Location great, close to beach on one side, shopping facilities on the other side. Restaurant was good. Staff very friendly. Only stayed 1 night so unable to comment further.

I appreciate that rooms arnt normally air conditioned but it had been a hot day and although the air had cooled down pleasantly outside, room was hot, would have been fine if i could just have fully opened a window, they needed some sort of fan build into window.

The windows in one of our rooms couldn't be closed properly. The fan in our bathroom was really loud and made unpleasant noises.

There was brown dirty water/coffee? In the kettle, I only noticed on rinsing it out to fill with fresh water 🤢 housekeeping obviously hadn't rinsed it. The snug for breakfast was a bit smelly and a lot of stains on the chairs. Could do with a deep clean.

Second we have stayed, and no hot water in the morning, perhaps it's because breakfast is served between 7am and 9am and not enough hot water for those who don't want breakfast.

My room was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. I stayed one night at the hotel and had a tasty cooked breakfast the following morning which set me up for my visit to the Isle of May - it was a big plateful so I didn't need much lunch. I also had fish & chips for dinner the night before in the hotel bar which also was very tasty - the portion of fish was a little smaller than you usually get but that was fine for me as I wasn't that hungry.

Stayed here for two days on a visit to friends, room comfortable very clean basic but clean staff very friendly. Had breakfast and two evening meals just pup grub but very nice.. Also visited Edinburgh for the day train station nearby. Had a walk on the beach too. Good value for money.

Room - the window was broken when we arrived - not the glass, the frame, but nothing was done to sort it during our stay. Toilet - no toilet brush Staff - the people in the dining area and bar weren't particularly friendly. Doors - shut loudly (banging)

•No WiFi after advertising free WiFi. Complained to the staff on Sunday and the problem still wasn’t resolved by Tuesday when I left. Complete waste of time! •Zero/low water pressure in shower •Threadbare towels in bathroom •

Staff very friendly and comfy room. Food also very good as ate their both nights of my stay.

No wifi on 2nd floor which was an issue due to me wanting to work in the evenings. Staff offered staff wifi login however that also didn’t work. Shower was very poor with no pressure and the knob to change from bath to shower kept dropping down so shower kept switching off.

The bar and waiting staff were excellent,chatty and very friendly,the menu was well varied and the meals we had were excellent,reasonably priced as well.

The set up at breakfast leaves a bit to be lmproved on.Quite a small space which on both mornings we were there was very busy and with it being a waiter service for main c ourse then it was a longish wait to be served,no fault of waiting staff,maybe needed extra staff to cope.We are both 80 years old and were on the second floor,no lift, and no offer to help us up with our luggage.

Hotel doesn’t look great from outside but room was excellent, spacious and comfortable. This would have been a 10/10 review but breakfast let it down. I had perused the breakfast menu in the room the night before and decided I was going to have pancakes. Our server greeted us with a list of things that were not available which included pancakes, so that reduced the hot menu choices by about 30%. In addition there was no yoghurt and of the six pastry items listed only croissants were available. From listening to the server there had clearly been a problem the day before, but the delivery was due today. Clearly the server was embarrassed by a situation which was not her fault. Either the person who does the ordering needs to get their act together or if the supplier is unreliable Greene King needs to find someone else. A very disappointing end to an otherwise excellent stay.

Oooo the row we got from the breakfast waitress for not going down for breakfast until 08.50. Got shouted at that they finish at 09.00…. Well it’s 08.50 so ten minutes yet. Another couple got shouted at too!! Then we all got a lecture 😬 Clearly not having her best day.

Breakfast was good, we opted to pay per day rather than upfront as we wanted full flexibility. Staff were very nice and friendly, particularly the English lady who served us breakfast on 4/5/26, she couldn't have been more attentive.

Didn't like the fact that they had Sky Sports News on in the snug when we had breakfast on Sunday (03/05/26). It was loud and obtrusive. We were seated in the bar for breakfast on Monday (04/05/26), which was a much more pleasant experience, as there was easy listening music which suited the time of day far better.

Squeaky floors everywhere. In the corridors and in the rooms. Keep waking up in the night when other guests were passing the room.
