The property was clean and comfortable, the staff were fab and everything needed was onsite.

A few cleaning details were missed and it was not possible to book spa treatments during our stay

Great staff, good food in Branfords, excellent drinks, good spa, comfy beds. Cleaners excellent.

Bathroom very basic, no walk in shower, generic soap so had to buy hair products and decent shower gel. Poor wardrobe space. No hooks for coats. No water in room.

Bathroom dated and dirty and room not cleaned to a good standard,needs walk in shower for safety reasons. Stairs from room was very dirty was not cleaned at all during our stay and looked like it has not for many weeks.

Didn't expect the pool/spa to be part of a commercial gym. Decor in keeping with age of hotel but looks a bit tired - could do with a lick of paint.

The on site restaurant is great - both quality and service All the staff were very friendly and helpful including barstaff and cleaners The room was nicely clean but the bathroom could do with a little updating.

The Bathroom needs some tlc, some guests were a little noisy late at night on the corridors

Menu in information booklet in room had price differences. We ate & drank every day in the restaurant & bar. We paid at least £10 over the price advertised in the information booklet. This was reported 3 times to 3 different staff members during the stay & nothing was done & they weren't interested. Pretty poor 😕

A good night's sleep in a very comfortable bed. Tasty breakfast and a comprehensive evening menu. All food was well cooked and served promptly. Excellent leisure facilities for a hotel of this size. Without exception all staff were friendly and helpful. Free parking.

Whilst this is not a criticism of the hotel the town itself does not offer a great deal. This makes the excellent offer provided by the hotel in food, leisure and accommodation much appreciated.

Everything about this place was perfect for what we were looking for, didn't disappoint.

The food was excellent and the size of the room was very good.

The room air freshener smell was alien to us, it had a strange odour and was not pleasant. We also found the mattress on the bed thin and hard, which ment as heavier adults we did not get a good night's sleep.

We booked a delux room and it would have been much better if there had been a couple of armchairs or a 2 seater settee rather than the chaise lounge we had. Not a comfortable sit.

The Hotel is very central for the Norfolk Broads, Gt Yarmouth and Norwich. There are great facilities, such as the restaurant, swimming pool and spa. The breakfast was brilliant and the staff really friendly and helpful. The room was large, comfy and had everything needed for a great stay.

The staff were all lovley the room great bed comfortable all clean. We did have an issue with bad smell coming up from the wet room trap which staff did try and fix but it did still smell.

Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Facilities were good and we enjoyed our hot stone massages.

Breakfast service was very slow and unorganised. Ordered porridge and yogurt for starter I'd eaten my yogurt at least 10 mins before my husbands porridge finally arrived. Then they cleared our table then our toast was brought out as the lady said she was just bringing our breakfasts out 10 mins later still no breakfast, toast was sitting getting cold. Other guests that came in after us was getting served their breakfasts and still nothing until we had to ask for replacement toast and our breakfasts. I understand they get busy but when we arrived there was only us and another couple, then other guests started to arrive and they were eating their breakfasts before us, which didn't seem right seeing as we were having nothing different from them?? This is the only thing that let the venue down.

The evening meals choices were fine and tasted nice but were not that exciting. It would be nice to have some local seafood that is not battered.

The staff were all pleasant and very helpful. Hotel was clean in all areas. We didn't use the pool but we have stayed here quite a few times and it was great. Hopefully we will be back again and would highly recommend it to everyone. Cannot fault the place. Lovely breakfast nothing was too much trouble.

The hotel was quite basic but clean. Staff were, without exception, extremely friendly, helpful and cheerful. Our room was clean but basic. Comfortable bed, clean, fresh bedding but it lacked the 'extra touches' i.e. the usual range of toiletries, fluffy towels, decent toilet roll etc.. however, there was tea/coffee making facilities in the room, shower over the bath, aircon and so on. We paid around £124 for one night, which was a good price and totally acceptable. We had a table booked for 13 in the evening and the food was very good & service impeccable. Breakfast was a selection of cereal and cooked food. Delicious! We didn't use the spa because we were only there for one night but it looked rather inviting. I would certainly recommend this hotel for a short or overnight stay. In conclusion - a very good stay for the price we paid.

Not sure what to write in this section as, although I've mentioned lack of toiletries, better towels & toilet paper, plus lack of bottled water in the room, the price we paid didn't warrant these little extras so I can't complain about not having them as they were not reflected in the price we paid.

Room was amazing they accommodated a room with bath as requested and it had air con. Bar staff great but our server went above and beyond to get us a table inside. Food amazing and lots of it. Will definately go back for a 3rd visit.

Arrived in two motorbikes, in all fairness, I'm not a moaner, but there was 2 Snotty tissues in the clean bed

Upon arrival, the atmosphere was fantastic, entrance and seating area outside was very welcoming, staff from bar checked us in and very polite and lovely. Rooms all three close together which was what we asked, bed was amazing. Staff in breakfast were helpful and lots of them for number of guests too. One lady in particular got me my breakfast cooked to perfection after the first day the chef didnt quit listen, good quality food too. Swimming pool, and areas were fantastic too.

Bathrooms need renovating in my opinion, and believe they are the only thing that lets the hotel down. We had 3 rooms and all bathrooms were the same. need refreshing shall we say. Also upon research the hotel was a bit further time wise than information we had. We thought hotel was close to sea in caister, with small run into great yarmouth and lowestoft further on. Lot further than we thought off routes given off internet, so no fault of hotel. Do take that into consideration,

Great location, free on site car park, most staff very friendly, fairly comfy bed, looked like freshly painted walls in the room, good selection of spirits at the bar.

For this price you would expect little bit extra in the shower room not just a couple of shower gel dispensers. Mould on some seals in the shower. Dripping tap all night. Visiting for a business isn’t ideal to have breakfast starting from 07:30 as it’s quite late. Well, one morning the doors weren’t unlocked until 07:40. Breakfast serving people should pay attention to what’s been said / ordered. I have ordered a breakfast and a toast. Breakfast received but not the toast so when 5 minutes later I have asked for the toast I was just told that the waitress will do it for me (by that time the breakfast was cold). Eggshell in a poached egg didn’t help either. Cups for tea / coffee disgustingly dirty like they would just been rinsed and wiped with dirty cloth plus chipped - that’s on two separate days. Hotel’s restaurant has a good menu but that’s probably it. I’ve ordered slowly cooked pork ribs in bourbon bbq sauce and that was during their busy period where I was told to wait 30 minutes before I even order (which is understandable as chef can only do so much). But then when I received ribs (not sure how they were cooked as they were super dry) plus coated with some sort of ketchup + bbq sauce and left on the hot plate for so long that the glaze have hardened like a paper - this didn’t appeal to me. Fries tasted like triple fried scraps (you couldn’t taste the potato) plus cold slaw which was shovelled into metal container without any care and dripping all over.

What a surprise. The best hotel we stayed in in Norfolk. The room is spacious and has everything you could need, hairdryer, drawers and plenty of space to hang your clothes. A fridge, kettle, hot chocolate, coffee and tea. They provide towels for the health club. The gym, pool and jacuzzi are fabulous and spotlessly clean. Sun loungers for relaxing. We slept very well; the bed is super comfortable. The best breakfast we’ve had so far, with plenty of options and cooked to order. Free parking and lift. The staff were polite and attentive.

Despite the name 'Old Hall' - the hotel was pretty modern, bright and spacious. We stayed here in a twin room on our penultimate night of walking the coast path. It's in a good location - just a short 10 minute walk to the beach. Our room was bright, spacious and clean, with aircon. Despite it being on a main road & having a busy pub and restaurant attached, our bedroom was quiet and a good night's sleep was enjoyed. Decent bathroom with a powerful shower. We ate dinner and breakfast at the adjoining restaurant. Good choices and good service. The use of the well-equipped onsite leisure centre was welcome, although unfortunately it closed at 6pm (Sunday evening).

The room was nicely sized and clean. Parking was ok but would be a problem at weekends with the spa, the restaurant, and hotels guests vying for spaces. The food, when it finally arrived was good.

I was only told about the noise in the courtyard from music two days before I arrived. If you don't want loud music outside your room, this isn't the hotel for you. The service we received at breakfast was appalling, the staff member treated us like idiots and it took nearly 15 minutes for her to take our order. There were only six people in the restaurant. The TV didn't work and when we asked the staff in the restaurant to see if they could do anything about it, they told us we would have to wait until 9.00am for someone on reception. We explained we were staying another night and would be leaving for the day by 9.00am. We got a shrug. When we returned the TV hadn't been fixed and decided we had enough of the poor service and left the hotel. Very disappointing and would not recommend a visit here.
