Very clean and super comfortable
Very comfortable and friendly staff.
There were no Tvs in the bedrooms. Queen room is the same price as a king bedroom. did not have options for breakfast.
Lugar tranquilo
good
The staff and owner were very polite and nice, everything was impeccable with cleanliness. Walkable distance and convenient. Will definitely stay again.
Absolutely loved our stay. We will be back!!!
Its very clean, its quiet and the staff is great.
This place is so beautiful
Amazing place. It’s a very well maintained ranch house, with vintage furniture, comforting bedrooms. Complete breakfast served on a beautiful dining table next to a cozy fire place. Breath taking views all around the house through out the day from sunrise to sunset. Highly recommended
Quiet, off the main road, friendly staff. Home-like atmosphere.
The vineyard and lavender farm are lovely. The location is beautiful.
We had an amazing time here the property is very nice, nice size room beautiful outdoor area charming and great staff…..Thank you Maria and Elizabeth and the rest of the staff for making our stay…..Elizabeth your breakfast was so good very homemade cooking thank you!!
We traveled to Valle for a Birthday Celebration and our experience was absolutely incredible. Rancho el Parral and the staff were amazing. Kudos to Maria the Reservation/Concierge Manager she went above and beyond to make sure our experience was unique, many thanks to the ladies that cooked our breakfast every morning; it was delicious. Having the Queen & Kings Nightclub walking distance made our vacation experience safe and enjoyable. The cherry on top of the cake was the Aires De Lavanda fields, that place is a must whether or not you are staying at el Parral.. What an extraordinary place. We will be back !
The place is okay however rooms dont have a tv, very little water came out of the shower head which was very annoying when showering. Had a misunderstanding with the “owner” He came out of nowhere asking me what room # I was in, without even indroducing himself first, so obviously my husband got upset and said thats none of your business. The “Owner” got mad too and started saying “well im the owner here” Well you should of started by saying you were the owner instead of bluntly asking what my room number was. Mind you we were at king and queen cantina next door we weren’t even at the “hotel” at that moment. Very rude asswhole. The cooking lady was very nice and attentive.Overall I would definitely NOT stay here again due to the shower water situation.I Do not recommend.
Great service!!!
The ranch is really nice, the staff is amazing, super friendly, the breakfast is top notch, the value you get is way above of what you pay. Highly recommended They have it all right there.
Property was amazing. It was safe, clean, and breakfast was delicious
Streets have lots of potholes and dirt roads.
Lovely home with large bedrooms, each with a large private bathroom stocked with everything we needed - even bathrobes. The home is very clean. The Staff is very friendly and eager to ensure we had everything we needed. The grounds are clean and well maintained. They have a chicken coop and peacocks! We enjoyed walking around the property - and it's just a few steps to the King and Queen restaurant that has excellent birria. We rented 3 of the 4 rooms. In 2 of the rooms the ceiling fan didn't work; however there are AC units in each room. They have a dry sauna - but it didn't work. Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, juice, coffees, eggs made to order. This home is perfect to rent out to one family - we were comfortable and felt very safe. We also loved the beautiful entry with cypress trees.
Very nice place Love the lavender fields. I really like the salsa for the breakfast
My husband & I spent 5 days at Rancho El Parral. As mentioned before – there are ONLY 4 rooms. It used to be the charming home of the owner’s family. It is definitely in the style of a B&B. There is always work being done to improve the grounds. I was told there are plans to build a chapel in the near future. There is a restaurant within steps of El Parral, along with a winery – both are very good. This is not a new house, therefore some issues may arise. We had a toilet overflow & the water will splash if you are the first to use it. They always have workers around so issues that arise will be solved. Doña Elena, outdoes herself with the accommodations & hospitality. Breakfast, included & prepared by Doña Elena, consisted of coffee, juice, fresh fruit, toast with selection of jams & a main dish. Alternating days, we were served Huevos Rancheros, Bistec, Omelet & Chilaquiles. There is no pool or TV in the rooms & they are quite cold. There is one TV in the common area with a fireplace & small portable heaters are available. The owners along with the staff are all wonderful people. If you are looking for a place to recharge & unwind – this is the place for you. There are other wineries within driving distance & the town of Ensenada is bit over ½ hour away. FYI - most of the roads of Valle de Guadalupe are riddled with potholes - be prepared to drive slowly & carefully.
My wife & I did a quick get-away to VDG (we go a few times each year) and chose Rancho El Parral. It is a cute / quaint old ranch that has been semi-renovated to be a B&B. The location is great and the grounds around the ranch are beautiful. The ranch and rooms themselves are nice but a bit rustic. The service is great and the breakfast was delicious. Would definitely recommend.
Around is nice lavander new trees cool
Loved the property…. Quiet and comfortable. Had the best breakfast - home cooked too. Sat on the dinning table with other guests like it was a family breakfast. Definitely going back
We loved the stay, the staff was very attentive. The winery and restaurant are within walking distance and we could walk around the lavander field and take pictures. I liked how clean and private the place is. The confortable beds and dining room was my favorite part. We had breakfast included which was delicious. I would certainly recommend
Absolutely gorgeous and staff was so sweet and welcoming. we will defiantly be coming back again.
Really good and quiet place to have a weekend for relaxing outside the city. The property was clean and roomy the personnel are very friendly.
very clean and friendly and helpful staff
rooms were extremely clean comfortable staff extremely kind
internet connection
Very clean stay in Valle de Guadalupe
This use to be beautiful property a while ago. Certainly remembers better days. 3 Stars rating is honestly realistic. Beautiful surroundings, gardens, lavanda fields, vineyards makes it really inviting. Probably winter is not really good time for visiting , and obviously it’s not busy at all. Breakfast was included but very boring, hardly any variety, every day same. Even fruits. Our room was species and looked like on the picture from the website. But the bathroom was different story, like from the last century. Mold around shower doors, gave good opportunity for the earwigs to crawl around. Tiny sink with no countertop to leave the stuff, just a small table beside. And one bulb high above the sink. Pretty cold. Property definitely needs big improvement inside and outside. It does have great potential to be something special. We loved the visit just because we didn’t really spend much time in the property, and would definitely love to return just in spring or even better later summer when the grapes are harvested.
I can’t emphasize enough what an amazing place Rancho El Parral is! This is my 3rd time returning and it only keeps getting better and better each time!
Everything it’s good and ladies from kitchen very nice and we love this place..!
The food was delicious But is a dog around the house scared us The room is to dark but is not enough the lights I have problem with the water for shower The staff is not enough the attention the rececionist Idont came back again
The property was nice and quiet, for the most part. Walls are thin and you can hear the other renters conversations and bathroom duties. The staff was super friendly. Great breakfasts. The Ranch was super clean inside and out. Adding a TV to the rooms would be great.
It’s a nice place, super clean, but the bed is old
This property is so beautiful, peaceful and quiet. The house itself carries a lot of history with it being a part of the Rondo del Parral Winery. There is a view of lavender and also the grapevines. Breakfast in the morning at Rancho el Parral was very delicious. The lady’s who cooked were very friendly and go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your time. The winery was very beautiful at well. My family and I got a tour with Alberto. He made sure to give us all the info we needed to learn about the process of how to make wine as well as tasting a couple. Overall, my experience was perfect! Thank you Alejandra for everything!
Such a beautiful property! Elizabeth and Alejandra were wonderful. Everything was great. Walking distance to King and Queen Cantina which was a huge plus.
No one at the property to checking, the hotel is very small but looks good also the bathrooms need repairs but overall is ok it could get better if the owner wants to
It was very relaxing. We had breakfast on the patio, it was so beautiful you feel like you don't want to leave. The breakfast was delicious .
So this is kind of a two part review. My fiancé and I originally stayed at Rancho El Parral back in October of 2021. We had a pleasant experience there and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was amazing and we loved the coziness of the house. The only concerns we had was the lack of security (doors were open and night with no one monitoring) and at one point, the power shut off in the house at night and did not come back for a few hours. Other than that we had a great two nights there. We liked it so much that we recommended the place to my parents and some family members that were going to be staying there in July. They booked the whole house for two nights in July back in November. However, a few days ago my Mom called to confirm with the hotel and to ask if they could add another night. It was then that the lady who answered the phone (did not get her name) informed my mom that they had to cancel the reservation since “the water was shut off.” The attendant claimed that they had sent my mom correspondence three months ago, but my mom searched through our mail and her email and did not find anything. She told my mom that she would be getting a refund, but my mom was upset considering there weren’t many places left to stay in Valle that weekend. My mom grew suspicious about the water situation, so she decided to call from a different number to inquire about rooms. The same attendant answered the phone and informed her that unfortunately the place was booked that weekend, but did not mention anything about the water being shut off. I did the same thing and when the attendant said that the rooms were booked (again no mention of the water shut off) I realized that Rancho El Parral was lying about it. I called the lady out and asked her how it is that the rooms were booked yet she canceled my parents reservation using the water excuse. She then told me over the phone that “she did not have any responsibility to tell me why the rooms were not available.” She also said that she never told me the rooms were booked, but just unavailable (another lie). I pointed out that I had just asked her if someone had those rooms booked that weekend, to which she confirmed, and to not try and walk back what she said. I told her that I would not be returning there ever again and to refund my money. What I think likely happened was that my parents booked the house at a favorable rate (about $600/night) back in November. Now that things are opening up they probably realized they could get more money for that weekend so they decided to cancel my parents reservation and open the house up to other bookings, using the “water shutoff” as an excuse. This is completely dishonest and a terrible way to treat customer. Please DO NOT come here as it is not a guarantee that they will honor your reservation. Rather, book somewhere else like Cielo Resort or Sueños Resort. Both of the hotels have much better customer service and offer around the clock service if needed.
When we arrived there wasn’t anyone to greet us. We kept calling the phone number listed and finally someone answered and came to the property. There was another couple also waiting to check in. Later that night we had went out for dinner and when we returned the gate was locked. We had to call the hostess again and she gave us the code for the lock so we can open the gate. This should’ve been told upon our arrival instead of trying to get in at 10pm at night.
Cool I love it come back again soon
This is a lovely small place on beautiful grounds. Comfortable, friendly, and delicious breakfast! We enjoyed a meal at Kings & Queens and loved that we could walk there! We will be back.
Very homie and cozy
Everytime I go to El Valle de Guadalupe I stay here. Beds are comfortable, surroundings are clean and pretty and nice, relaxing walking trails. The living room where the TV is is very comfortable to watch movies or play board games. Breakfast is very good and the restaurant nearby is delicious but a bit noisy. The children playground does need some maintenance since it is clunky and looking like it will come apart at any second.
We absolutely loved our stay at Ranch El Parral! Our home away from home…Elizabeth was extremely attentive and warm, cooked our delicious Mexican style breakfast! Made recommendations to take advantage of our beautiful Mexican Style hacienda. Yes property might be in need of a little tlc, however the charm, style and warmth of the property makes up for it. We enjoyed our breakfast in the outside patio overlooking the vineyards made us feel we were in a hacienda or a telenovela! We loved our family stay, and our pre-teens loved this truly Mexican visit experience. We highly recommend!
Cute and charming BnB.
Nice clean the breakfast is delicious very small place
Stayed at Rancho el Parral for one night and pleasantly surprised! The place has a great location. Place was cozy, friendly. Beds were comfortable, lovely patio for breakfast under shady trees and with a view of vineyards. They used lavender products from their fields, AC works. Only little issue was no hot water in our bathroom but not a big deal considering it was already 75 degrees at 9 am. Breakfast was our favorita part. We took a walk through the gardens, lavender fields, and saw their beautiful peacock. The place is next to a restaurant and king and queens! Breakfast was coffee eggs fruit coffe and toast. It was perfect to start our day. Everyone was friendly I would come back
A cozy and small B&B. Impress with the detail. Property near lavender field. All products the property uses has lavender, pretty nice smelling! Rooms are not soundproof unfortunately. Breakfast was delicious and served al fresco! Mostly egg dishes. Best part was the Steam Room, private. My husband and I enjoyed and had the stress melt with the heat!
Like it. Good location, but recommend going with friends not a couples retreat. It’s like you are staying at a family members house. I think it depends on your luck for roommates. We had 1 really good one and 1 really bad one... so hence the review. There is no privacy. So good with friends only. The lady that helps live on the property and is super nice. She was on point helping out.
The staff, the view, the food, the location were so great
Very nice
This place is amazing! The rooms were so clean, there was so much space, and it is walking distance to Kings & Queens (must visit restaurant). The breakfast was BEYOND delicious-- authentic Mexican food with the most kind service. Thank you so so much, I will be staying again. 10/10 recommend!
Tranquile, open scenery , away from the bustling City life & Noise
LOVED Rancho el Parral! This is our fourth time coming to Valle de Guadalupe--and this has been our favorite place we stayed. The ranch house was rustic and welcoming, with all the amenities we needed to stay in comfort. It was very nice to have lovely garden to walk through, DELICIOUS breakfast included, and a winery/restaurant (Rondo) in walking distance. The location was great (towards the Western side of the Valle, with great wineries close by--and as mentioned Rondo in walking distance). The staff were sooo helpful and attentive, very gracious and friendly. The home was quiet and often felt like we had a whole rancho home to ourselves. LOVE IT HERE!! They have four rooms, so this would be a great place to go if you had a larger group and wanted to stay together and have a shared common space together--it would really feel like renting out a whole home, but with all the comforts of a bed and breakfast.
The best in town. We will be back soon. All was just perfect.
Just before you are fooled by the pictures, this is a home you are staying in... but you don’t have access to use the kitchen, and the location/ surrounding views are really not that beautiful. The home was freezing, there is only one portable heater in the large bedroom. The hot water didn’t work until they realized they didn’t have it on. The sauna (which was one reason we chose to stay here vs any of the hundreds of other more affordable options) didn’t heat up- just steamed. The water completely shut off around 8pm, and we were left without the ability to shower at the end of the night or flush the toilets. This was supposed to be a comfortable trip for my grandmother, and instead this was the most uncomfortable place I have ever stayed in Baja. We left a day early.
Service was great. The Staff extremely attentive. Beautiful hacienda style accommodations. You are walking distance to Rondo del Valle a marvelous winery. Great choice if you are visiting Valle de Guadalupe, Baja California's wine country.
Stay was excellent, from sanitizing controls from reception to the cleaning procedures. Also area has at very short distance several places to visit several wineries as well as to new places to eat. Also the breakfast that is included is absolutely fantastic.I recommend it for couples which like a nice quite place yet with the comfortable setting. I was able to do some nice stargazing too.
Great place and convenient location. Staff was very nice and service was great. Nice breakfast every morning. Only complaint was that the bed was a little squeaky :)
Amazing place to spend your weekend, so many things to do in one place without the need to travel. There is a winery, a lavender field and restaurant, everything in the same place, there are also many different experiences that you can book!
Amazing small hotel, with beautiful gardens. You can have a picnic in the gardens and enjoy the amazing views of the vineyards and nature. You can definitely relax and enjoy nature if you stay at this hotel.
This place has an amazing atmosphere. Beautiful, tranquil, with a lot of character. I was really impressed. The winery is also very nice. The morning breakfast out on the patio is very relaxing and enjoyable. . Loved the steam room. The whole place had a calming effect
This property is very unique because it really isn't a hotel at all. I was expecting something very different but this isn't a bad thing. This rancho is a bed and breakfast. Its somebody's home which they rent rooms out for the night. The drive way which they sell on the pictures is closed to the public and you have to drive up a dirt road and park on a dirt lot. Its baja california and that's definitely expected to drive on a lot of dirt roads. No tv in the room or mini fridge. They had a couple of heaters in the room that did not work properly. This property is next door to king and queen cantina and has a nice walkway connecting the two properties. The check in area is the ranchos living room and be ready to share the living room with other people if you want to watch tv. Other than these little surprises the place was very clean and has nice views of their vineyard.
The style was very nice, hard to find due to lack of bright signs at night... breakfast was excellent and very close (walking distance) from a great restaurant. Very dark at night though
Shower didn't get too hot when used. Thank you for the stay!
I booked a room at this bed and breakfast in the Valley de Guadalupe for one night this weekend. It was a quick trip to visit my friends new restaurant which he opened nearby. The location was very close to my destination and the cost was within reason. Much to my surprise the plate was extremely charming. THEre are only 4 rooms. And it is very nice. Nothing extravagant like a resort. However a true Valley de Guadaluope experience. The room was modest size with a nice bathroom and shower. Basic simple and exactly what I needed. IT was a great change of pace to the hustle and bustle of large cities. The owners Alberto and Olivia were really nice. I checked in and they gave me cucumber auga Fresca. They offered me some wine but I do not drink. The next day when I woke up the staff prepared a great breakfast. Huevos Ranchero etc. Also much to my surprise I could walk to my friends restaurant. It is a new hip restaurant called Kings and Queens. Great food and drinks with a beautiful view. I hate to give this hotel a great review because I hope to come again and to be able to get a room here. However this was a great experience. If you are looking for 5 star resort this is not for you. If you res looking for a real local experience this would bee the place to come to.
We stayed here for an event in Valle and it’s a great little place to stay, lots of charm. Easy to find and feels safe. The breakfast is excellent and everything is very clean.
I have stayed here several times before and loved it. However, this time they cancelled our stay that we had made six months in advance only five days before arrival because the family who owns it wanted to use it for personal reasons. They did not offer much help and we had to cancel our vacation.
Pictures and words cannot describe the beauty of the property and the presentation.. Waking up in the morning and having a yummy meal prepared by the staff was almost a majestic feeling.. Great location in the Heart of the Valle, room accommodations and staff excellent!! A must stay location!!
The best place to stay in Valle de Guadalupe. The house at the ranch is adorable and luxurious, surrounded by the vineyards and beautiful gardens. The service was outstanding. And expect to have the best Mexican breakfast on the patio. Can’t wait to go back
Friendly and attentive staff, delicious healthy food, beautiful facility that makes you feel like you are a guest at a home rather than a hotel. Great place for a romantic weekend getaway with plenty of pampering.
Very pretty place and close to a lot of wineries. The staff was great and breakfast was really good.I will definitely return
A very recomended site to stay as you visit Valle de Guadalupe and the wine tour. And they have their own wines and lavender products to sale. Just remember is a small place, so not to go with many people.
Great place to spend the time, great service and attention to the customer. The facilities are spacious and open which makes it an ideal place to stop and drink wine. The wine selection is rather amazing to the mouth pallet, having one of their wines being rewarded two silver medals. I always have a great time every time I go visit. This is a must visit!
Nice place it’s like ranch. Fair from city
This place is very chill - on a nice vineyard with great location to explore other area attractions. Staff were great - breakfast was incredible each day.
Our first time in the Valle de Guadalupe and definitely coming back.
From the minute you walk into Rancho el Parral you don’t feel like a hotel guest but almost like a friend of the family who is being welcome to the house. The entrance is impressive: a long stretch of road lined by tall, beautiful pines. It reminded us a bit of Italy. A comfortable and spacious 4-bedroom ranch house, Rancho el Parral serves an abundant and delicious Mexican-style breakfast to start your day. Magdalena and Elizabeth greet and serve you with that sincere Mexican hospitality which makes you feel right at home and very welcome. The ranch’s grounds are extensive and well-manicured so you can walk and bike to your heart’s content without even leaving the property. They have their own sophisticated winery and the wine tasting is free if you are a guest. The Rondo Morador wine is very good. One excellent detail: no TV in the rooms. There is one TV in the living room but we never used it. We came here to get away but you can still have Wi-Fi. It gets cold at night in April and there is no central heating. But the duvet/comforters are so warm that we slept perfectly well in that beautiful country silence. They cut some ranch-grown lavender for us so our bedroom had it’s own brand of aromatherapy. When we come back we won’t consider any other alternative but Rancho el Parral. There are many lodging options in The Valley of Guadalupe but this one was perfect for us. We regret not having met the owners to thank them personally.
Fabulous ,very peaceful close to the wineries good food
Rancho El Parral has so much more to offer than what you read in their description. From the easy check-in to their hospitality and great staff! Ricardo greeted my husband and I upon arrival and he along the ladies in the kitchen made our one night stay an unforgettable one. The grounds are immaculate with beautiful views of their vineyards. The room was cleaned and very spacious. The included breakfast made us feel right at home too. The house is charming and it includes a sauna room, a tasting room within walking distance or a short ride in the bicycles that are also included. Other restaurants and wineries are located within a small drive from Rancho El Parral. Do note that the roosters can be heard early in the morning but considering that you're in the country side this was nothing to complain about! Can't wait to go back!
Cute winery and hotel in the Guadalupe Valley, very nice staff and good breakfast. Fun winery to visit. We wished the beds were not so squeaky and that the showers were hot, but otherwise a lovely place to stay. Be sure to pay online before you go-if you choose the pay at hotel choice the price is quite a bit higher than what hotels.com says it will be.
Olivia and Alberto were amazing, made us felt at home, the staff super nice, wine amazing, the best experience for our first time at the Valle de Guadalupe
My husband and I decided to visit Valle de Guadalupe for the first time to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We stayed at Rancho el Parral which is a super cute, comfy, and clean ranch style bed and breakfast. The hospitality is wonderful, the wine was the best out of all of the wineries we toured, they not only have delicious wine but they also make fabulous body products made from the grown lavender on their ranch. The breakfast is incredible with an assortment of typical Mexican cuisine, all handmade from the staff. A restaurant is being built on the property which we will definitely be back to try!!!
We got there but disdnt stayed. The place in the middle of nowhere. Nobody on duty, no hot water and lots of mosquitos
Ricardo was so helpful from the very first email helping my wife plan a surprise weekend get away for my birthday. We booked the Celebration Package which included breakfast, lunch and dinner (all incredibly made by Magda y Edith with home made bread and jams!!) a bottle of wine with lunch, wine tasting at the winery (which is steps away from the house), and two massages in our room. This place is incredibly romantic, cozy and quiet. Only 4 rooms on the property, lots of outdoor seating for lounging in the garden and reading while sipping wine overlooking lavender gardens. We will be back for sure!! Oh yeah, and the wine is excellent!!
What an amazing place! The view was spectacular and the staff was so friendly! My girlfriend and I loved it!
Clean, comfortable and great location in the Valle. Delicious breakfast included. Friendly staff
Quiet and peaceful ranch connected to a winery and tasting room. Clean and well cared for.
i will recommend any family
