Fantastic location, the views were stunning. Whilst tucked away up in the hills, you felt very safe, with plenty of security surrounding the hotel complex. The hotel itself was impeccable, from the rooms to the communal areas. A top boutique hotel feel. The staff were great, friendly and welcoming. We would absolutely recommend staying here when visiting Rio.

The only minor criticism of the facilities was that the pool area could do with a bit of a refurbishment. The pool itself looked slightly tired and the sunbeds around the pool were ripped and need replacing. Whilst the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, they were sometimes tricky to find! They could probably do with having one front desk staff member a bit more visible. None of this would prevent me highly recommending the hotel. We loved our stay.

The Vila is absolutely gorgeous. A peaceful haven in the middle of Santa Teresa with a breathtaking view over the city. The staff is very attentive and welcoming, and made me feel at home. I loved all the little treats left in the room, the availability and warmth of them all. It truly is a place to unwind and relax. Loved it!!

The location is great if you’re looking for quiet and stunning views but it is kind of remote. So for people looking to go out the door and have shops and restaurants at hand, this might not be the best option. Still is amazing though!

Best stay of our trip! The staff was amazing - friendly, helpful and courteous. The views might easily be the best in Rio. The breakfast was outstanding and also lunch/dinner were delicious.

The attention to detail was incredible. The staff go above and beyond to meet every request. You have your own executive butler who attends to your every need. The meals were incredible and the views are the best in Rio.

O hotel é uma antiga residência familiar e possui 7 acomodações impecavelmente dispostas de modo a obter uma vista incrível da Baía de Guanabara, além dos morros do Pão de Açúçar, Urca e, na parte de trás, o Corcovado, com o Cristo Redentor de braços abertos sobre a cidade. Cartão Postal. O staff é incrível!!!!! Você é atendidos por mordomos que fazem tudo para seu bem estar. O café da manhã é divino e pode ser servido no deck da piscina, que dá uma vista deslumbrante para o Rio. Participamos do jantar do dia dos namorados e estava tudo perfeito, desde os mimos deixados no quarto, ao serviço no restaurante. Experiência inesquecível!!!!

Pequenos detalhes que precisam ser aperfeiçoados. Durante o final da noite e início da manhã, o chuveiro quente não funcionou e estava impossível tomar banho no nosso quarto. A acomodação é rota dos aviões que pousam no Santos Dumont. Longe de isso ser um incômodo, mas é importante saber que pode gerar algum barulho no início da manhã, com a abertura do aeroporto. A propriedade é um oásis de proteção no bairro de Santa Teresa, mas é preciso ter cuidado quando o objetivo é explorar a área externa além dos portões de entrada.

A vista mais incrível do RJ! Um paraíso de lugar! Além disso, o serviço é fantástico e o Sérgio, maitre, é excepcional!

Wenn man ein Gefühl von privater Atmosphäre sucht ,wenn man einen fantastischen Blick sucht ,wenn man umgeben sein will von unglaublichen nettem und zuvorkommendem Personal und obendrein noch erstklassig essen will mit traumhaften Blick.... dann ist man hier perfekt aufgehoben!!! Ein ganz großes Kompliment an Jasmine ,die alles in Perfektion organisiert hat ,inclusive Helikopterflug ab Hotel und eine wirklich liebenswerte Frau ist ! Nochmal ,das gesamte Personal ist unglaublich zuvorkommend und freundlich!!!💪

The breakfast was excellent and the hotel location was amazing although did take some finding! The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The views from the hotel were superb and the surrounding grounds were beautiful.

There was nothing that we didn’t like and anything we would change.

Если вы хотите отдохнуть от будничной суеты и зависнуть на вилле без возможности прогуляться на 1-2 дня, то можно рассмотреть этот вариант, но если у вы подвижны и активны и хотите гулять вдоль пляжей не привязывайте себя поводком к этой вилле. Дойти пешком нереально. В 8 утра над виллой пролетают самолёты и спать уже не получиться. Завтрак по меню, хотя при бронировании было написано шведский стол. Если вы захотите авокадо или красную рыбу вам придется доплатить...это конечно не соответствует никаким нормам. Горничные не внимательные, могут зайти когда вы ещё не покинули номер и ходите в нижнем белье. В номере нет штопора, бассейн грязноват и повторюсь, гулять абсолютно не где.

Tudo ótimo mas achei errado cobrarem 54,00 reais por alguma coisa extra no café da manhã. Para o nível do hotel, não cabe esse tipo de cobrança.

Temos a sorte de já ter passeado muito pelo mundo e este é um hotel que definitivamente nos vai ficar para sempre na memória. Uma vista soberba do Rio, um espaço muito elegante e decorado com bom gosto, sem excessiva opulência, funcionários que nos fazem sentir muito bem recebidos e especiais. Sempre que regressarmos ao Rio, já sabemos onde ficar!

super personal attention and a fantastic WhatsApp information / communication service that really worked for us. Everything can be communicated. The hotel even looked after us and made sure we got back to the hotel safely at night during the recent Police raid in Rio de Janeiro when the city became really unsafe.

Não foi muito relevante, mas estava muito frio e o ar condicionado tinha uma função de ar quente que não funcionou. Mas nada que atrapalhasse o sono ou a estadia.

This hotel is more like a large house with only 7 rooms set on the top of a hill in Santa Teresa overlooking the city of Rio and the Sugarloaf mountain. The views are truly spectacular from the room and the outside area by the pool. Both the rooms and the public areas of the hotel and the grounds were immaculately clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a lot of interesting history associated with the estate and the furniture and decor reflect that. We felt that we were treated by the staff as valued house guests, not just visitors. Dinner was excellent and good value for money. The breakfast included hot and cold options with several items that were locally produced. Portion sizes were great and all the food tasted wonderful. Service was excellent with the chance to eat outside with an amazing view or inside. The local area is interesting and we walked into Santa Teresa town. The historic tram can stop right outside the entrance to the grounds. The grounds and the hotel are only accessible through a gate which has 24/7 security with armed guards. We certainly had no concerns for safety during our stay.

A very minor point. The hotel is set in a private estate which has guards at the entrance. When we arrived there was a few minutes delay. However once the hotel notified the guards of our name then it was easy. The hotel is correctly marked for Uber and so drivers could find it easily. For google maps the security entrance is marked as the hotel which is incorrect. Some people may be upset at the flights into Rio SUD airport which in the morning from about 8am can fly over the hotel. It didn't worry us, we like seeing the aeroplanes curve in to land and there's nothing the hotel can do about the flight path.

We received great service in a beutiful boutique hotel with a magnificant view of one of the worlds 7 natural wonders. Villa Santa Teresa is a special place.

Stayed for a night to get a different experience of Rio. The villa is immaculate and rooms comfortable. Views of the city below are amazing. The staff are prompt and helpful. Booked a spa treatment which was followed by use of the glass steam room also overlooking the city below. This villa is a converted house which is owned by a family with roots in Santa Teresa. The family was on site the day we stayed and were super friendly when they approached us.

Everything was great . Beautiful hotel in the center from Rio , amazing view, nice interior, very good bed , good food and wine and very nice staff .

Tranquility personified - my wife and I said the same thing about this place - it felt like the perfect setting for a romantic movie. my wife really liked the remote location, it is super private and secure... that part was a little annoying, it might be too secure. I had a hard time getting Ubers but like I said my wife loved that. 5 star staff members - absolute class. we got back 2 weeks ago and we are already planning to go back in 6 months.

Beautiful hotel with amazing staff. Stunning views, the rooms were amazingly comfortable and the food / bar served exquisite food. Pretty much a perfect hotel!

Only a few minor things but worth mentioning given the cost for 1 night - there were works going on by the pool when we were there (drilling and hammering) both days which we had to ask to stop, the sauna was broken and not in use and the pool needed a clean as there were many bugs in it.

We had the Suite called Eva. Everything was perfect we had the entire Vila for us. The views are insanely beautiful! The food was good but my husband and I love comfort food:)

Might add some comfort food to the menu and a shower hand head would be nice.
