Lovely stay as always with fantastic staff. I left my phone charger on the train and they were really helpful letting me use the charger at reception.

Bed was small but comfortable and great pillows. Nice products in the room and the coffee machine with milk was fab. Excellent breakfast in a lovely setting.

Door was broken on cupboard and there was no hairdryer which made a shower problematic. Nowhere to park a car to do drop off which made it difficult.

The room was huge and the king size bed was soooo comfortable. Air con just right. The bathroom was superb, a shower hat would have made it perfect 😅. Very very kind and helpful staff. Highly recommend.

Really full of character. Thoughtful facilities in the room. Iron and ironing board were essential for us! Room decor beautiful. Lovely welcome. Everywhere clean, well presented and well signposted.

Not a lot to be fair. Ambulance station nearby meant that you did hear the odd siren in the night.

Road a bit noisy at front

Amazing location right by the station and lots of lovely little cafes and shops in Herne Hill. In spite of this, after the pub closes it's actually really quiet and we slept great. Master suite was unreal! We were not expecting to be in such an amazing and enormous room - they even give you a little card for a free drink at the bar. Cannot recommend this little gem highly enough. Shout out to Alena (sorry that's prob spelt wrong) who was super friendly and welcoming at check in and check out.

Love the style of the hotel, very comfortable bed, food was amazing. We had dinner and breakfast . Receptionist kindly allowed me to check in hours earlier after I requested it. Attentive service

I loved the room, and the extras they did! 2 free drinks, breakfast, proper coffee in the room, water available, real milk in a glass bottle, pillow spray! The staff were LOVELY.

One shower head didn’t work and it was a little noisy in the morning from traffic. Neither thing would put me off coming back though!

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The air conditioning was a blessing on such a hot day, but it did turn off overnight so I had to get up and turn it back on again.The dinner and breakfast were excellent.

The TV in my room didn't have a remote control, so could only be operated by buttons on the side of the TV. A lot of the channels didn't work and I couldn't connect it to my phone to watch Netflix.

Comfortable beds and squeaky clean bathrooms. Nice restaurant and outdoor dining area. Easy access to tube station.

The room was so beautiful. I booked it for my Mum’s birthday and she was blown away. The breakfast and service were wonderful and the hotel couldn’t do any more to make our stay better!

It was in a great location for Brixton academy. We like using public transport and walking in London so it was perfect. Friendly staff. Easy to use. Good food. We had breakfast and it was lovely and most welcome. Only a one night stay but it was perfect.

That it had everything you needed for a great night's stay. The air con was such a plus and the complimentary tea coffee and water was such a bonus. It was so quirky but brilliantly put together. Staff were lovely and very friendly and it was literally a few minutes walk from the train station and Brokwell Park.

If I had to be pushed to say what we didn't like, then it would be the fact there was no lifts so carrying luggage up the stairs was a minor inconvenience but one of which we could deal with.

The historic charm, the amenities, all the attention to detail and thought that went into making it a great stay!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and a good choice of good quality food. Rooms were beautiful. Close to the Thameslink so easy to get to.

The outside gate wasn't locked after 11, there was an inside door that was locked but would have been nice to have the extra security

It was quite noisy, you could hear everything from the pub, outside and every train that went past. But, ear plugs sorted that out

One of our favorite hotels in the world. The beauty of every detail is one-of-a-kind. The staff is pure gold. Don’t expect some fake overfriendlyness but real people with a good heart. The little neighborhood becomes nicer and nicer, everytime we’re there. Of course as a tourist we might be blind on the gentrification eye, but it feels like there is a caring community. Thanks to the train station just across the street, you are in London city in less than 15 minutes. We saw 3 different rooms now. If you want to treat yourself, book the suite, but be aware, you might end up not wanting to leave the room. And of course, don’t miss Sunday roast in the restaurant!

Nothing that bothered us, but we think it’s fair to mention, that the historical windows are thin and you hear the street in your room. For us, that’s part of being in the place, but it might be difficult for people who are more sensitive.

Obviously it’s in a fairly busy location so street and train noise but reasonably quiet after 12.

L'hôtel a une décoration très atypique (plutôt vintage) ce qui fait son charme par rapport aux hôtels à la déco très "standardisée". Pub et restau au RDC (un peu bruyant en fin de semaine, mais la musique s'arrête à 23h). Le mieux est de participer (souvent musique live) avec une bonne bière ! Personnel très sympa, petit-déj' extra. Hôtel un peu excentré par rapport à l'hyper centre, mais accès facile aux bus/métro.

L'isolation est également "vintage" (simple vitrage dans les chambres). On entend bien le train qui passe pas très loin (mais pas/très peu de circulation la nuit).

Location excellent for visiting Kings College Hospital. Bath robes and coffee machine a real bonus. Breakfast - good choice, well cooked and presented. Ambience great with period decor

Quite expensive for a room in a pub, but no other dislikes

I stayed in Bean Duke the Lovely Cabin room. It looked Wonderful & bed was Cosy. Fab Location & Staff were Friendly. Breakfast room was nice Staff handed me a Menu & I chose the Healthy one option + Latte really enjoyed how they make it Fresh & bring it to you. They did also have some options you can grab yourself like orange Juice etc. My room was on floor 2 & There was a Nespresso in the room with 4 different pods to choose from + mini fridge with 1 still + 1 sparkling water & mini- Semi skimmed glass bottle a milk. The was 2 bathrobes + slippers in bathroom. Was a great idea being able to go in & out through side entrance with your hotel key card. I would deffo book again & my reason for stay was went to a Music event in Brixton on 26th a March 2026 so definitely added to having a suitable place to stay close to where event was on & my friend who came with me stay 15mins from Half Moon was so handy aswell meeting back up with them the next morning in Brixton. Lovely atmosphere created in the main by the staff who were excellent throughout. Special mention to the morning crew who greeted us for breakfast with a smile and lots of chat. The room we stayed in Aldrin was spacious and ideal for our needs for the two nights we stayed there. Convenient overground trains to both Victoria and Blackfriars makes getting into Central London very easy. The pub downstairs is a real plus and there is a great outside space both in the front and back of the bar.

Nothing to not other than being next to a railway line does mean that you do get a bit of noise from trains rattling through the nearby station but nothing to be too bothered about.

The pub/hotel is located on a busy junction, so inevitably there is quite a bit of traffic and rail noise, but that is not the fault of the hotel, it is just where it is located

Location was perfect for attending a concert at the o2 academy brixton. Staff were lovely and very accommodating. I will definitely be back.

Great pub and hotel. Loved the options for breakfast, everything was delicious. Room was presented nicely.

Only slight issue was that there was just one room heater in the room. I understand due to the age of the building radiators unlikely but I found it was too hot with the heater on and too cold without. Not a massive issue though.

Posizione ottima per raggiungere il teatro O2 Brixton, la zona residenziale dotata di stazione treno e metro è molto bella e tranquilla, la colazione non troppo varia ma buona, il prezzo per me un po' alto ma alla fine sono i prezzi di Londra.

I cuscini molto scomodi, anche uno sopra all'altro la sensazione di sprofondare è molta e sembrava non averli, il water, almeno nella nostra camera, veramente alto e quindi scomodo da utilizzare
