I arrived around 9.30pm, to check in you have to call, the person was helpful. I stayed in the a room with private bathroom, wich is big enough. There is a heater and TV that works well. Kitchen downstairs is clean.
The price shown at reservation (via Booking) , was lower than the one I was charged upon arrival, if it's 19% tax on top , booking should shows it , it feels misleading. I bookeed a room with a private bathroom, but the one I was assigned had mould on the walls, floor, and ceiling, something that could be resolved with proper cleaning. An extra blanket was extremely worn out and dirty. There is no lamp on the bedside table. No staff is present on-site as everything is managed remotely. For any assistance, you need to contact the staff via WhatsApp, which is fine, but if the host or staff doesn’t respond, there’s nothing you can do. For example, soap was not included in the room price, so I requested it, but I never received a response. I believe the host hasn't inspected the rooms in quite a long time.
Great location, convenient for trips near downtown Santiago.
Nice and cheap, good location, clean
Hot in the summer. Definitely misses ac. Check in process is super weird… be ready to call the host on WhatsApp and do everything yourself like card machine etc.
La atencion remota 24hs
It was clean, comfortable and in a good location.
Pillows didn’t have pillowcases
all as expected services received thanks so much all the hotel owner
only was me who never know Spanish and people are good and friendly they communicate even if language burrier
Location
Less options for tea, coffee and snacks
Good place customa care and valued
Everything was ok
Location
Staff didnt speak english Hard time checking in Tiny bathroom Heating was not making any dicference
The shower is good and the bed is comfortable enough.
They charged me 3 days extra by mistake without reimbursing me. There's never anyone around, it's like a ghost house. Everything is dirty.

Cleaning
The location is perfect, as you are close enough to the tourist attractions and city center; the newer part of Santiago where the conference I attended was held was also only a 20-minute metro ride away. The nearest metro stop is less than 3-5 minutes walk from the property.
I am not sure if there is a way to lock the balcony door from the inside of the room; but it was all good, just a minor anxiety concern of mine.
Almost no contact with the owners and when i saw an administro tor she was super dry. But if this is not so important for you overall it was a pleasant stay
Great location, nice common area.
There is no stove for cooking, which is quite inconvenient.
The beds were very comfortable. The location is nice. Near the Plaza Baquedano metro station.
The shower was broken, one acrylic stall panel was missing so all the water when showering would go out. There was nothing to dry the floor. The toilet is outside of the room, which was annoying. The wifi didn't reach the bedroom.
Amazing location, two blocks from the Metro station. In general, the staff was kind and answered questions/queries quickly. They were willing to change the reservation dates because our flight was delayed.
The room I was assigned had a strong cigarette smell. I asked to change to another room. It was not available for the first night and they promised to change the second night but they did not. I had to contact the manager again and at this point, we decided to stay in the same room because we were only two nights and it was too late.
Very good location
Heating wasn't great
Great location great staff
Everything was fine
Great breakfast
All good
location
booking process is through automated messages and randomly over WhatsApp. it gets a little annoying no one’s there to reply.
The location is perfect. Right in Providencia, close to everything including the subway. We felt very safe and the street was particularly quiet. The bed was super comfortable and the common areas were beautiful. We particularly enjoyed the terrace. I forgot my keys in the room and the staff came quickly (20 minutes) and was really nice about it. Great value for the money.
I contacted the property in advance (1 hour) for my check-in and someone was on site and available right away BUT... Some guests were not so lucky and we could see them through the gate waiting from the terrace. They asked us for help (happened twice) and we couldn't do anything except tell them to wait, which was very awkward. My biggest problem was with the private bathroom. Do not bother booking it, it smelled awful and we had to keep the door closed the entire time because of it. Also, our window was in the corridor so... We couldn't open it and have intimacy. Kind of a bummer.
Good location. Very self area

Location
The bed and the pillow were horrible.
Feels like home. Small room, shared bathroom. Basic but it was clean and for the price point it's a good place.
As I said, it's a bit dingy but it's good for the price.
location
it was not clean (specially the bathroom) , noisy, had a weird smell the room.
Really nice Rooms but there is barely no personal
Barely no personal
Huge big bedroom in an old, unique building. Very safe and very central. Nice and efficient staff and very reasonably priced.
nothing
It was probably the cheapest place on booking.com The room was very simple and it had a kitchen
There was a very strange man staying there at the same time who seemed to have lost his mind, made us feel uncomfortable The check in process was so useless. It’s so inconvenient and made the check in process longer than needed. They just need to have an actual in house person doing this, not over the phone/computer.
Staff were very nice and friendly, easy check in process. Great location. Fast wifi
We booked rooms with private bathrooms and really shouldn’t have. The bathrooms were very dirty and the shower plug overflowed immediately. The smell from the shower was so bad we kept the bathroom door closed and used the shared bathrooms for the rest of our stay.
Nothing
There's no staff on site. It was the most bizarre experience. I had to call, then 10 minutes later someone called me back, digitally opened the door, and asked me to answer a call from the computer at the receptions. Via video call, someone instructed me to enter the payment amount, swipe my own credit card through a machine, then deposit the slip to a safety box, then pick up a key. When I had questions like where to get water, food, etc, I had no one to ask. They took the future self serve concept too far!
Decent little shared kitchenette, the room was super simple but decent.
We arrived at 10pm and let the hosts know that was the case. There was no one at the front desk and a weird online system. We were left waiting for 45 minutes to check in after being exhausted. They've tried to set up a digital system but it doesn't work and is very inconvenient. They have a digitized response to whatsapp so you can't get a response from a human. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest.
The location
Had to wait 45 minutes for the check in, there’s a ridiculous reception system that is supposed to work remotely via Skype but there was no one attending. The place was generally dirty, bed sheets, towels, everything was stained.
Perfect stay in a very clean accomodation with large and well equipped kitchen. Remote check-in was weird at first but worked well.
our window only led to the corridor, so the air flow in the room was a bit off. complaints on a high level.
location, staff, and facilities!
I felt a little tricked by Booking because the listing shows as if this is the original Casa Baquedano but it has been bought out and so none of the photos nor the listing are accurate. I would not have agreed to stay in a place with no personnel and the check-in was a mess. I didn’t feel safe in the property traveling alone.
Great location
The self check.in can prove a little difficult
The property was in a convenient location and the daily cleaners helped to make tired accomodation feel less grimey.
The lack of reception and remote check in services meant you missed out on the support and local insights you look for as a traveller. The person running the check in did a good job, and the WhatsApp was responsive, but the system overall was challenging. The quality of the rooms was far worse than indicated in the images and a ‘private room with bathroom’ booking can vary in quality a lot despite consistent pricing. The room we were allocated was disappointing and not good value for money. It was tiny, had remnants of broken hanging systems sticking out from the wall, didn’t have simple amenities like a bed side light, and the quality of the pillows was like 7 cotton balls in a sack.
Nice location
Small bed
(Nothing)
No live person on site. Off-site registration (done through a tv screen) - terrible customer service no explanation was given the guy just sits there and wait for you to figure out how to charge your credit card onto TWO machines in order to complete ONE transaction. The WORST part was he did not tell me I can avoid paying IVA/VAT and he charge me 19% on top of our price!!!!!!! Nobody to help with the bags. You cannot leave your luggage at the reception and have to take it to another hostel.
nothing
did not was clean the photos that they show are not alike the room, its a lie, everything is very old and dirty
beautiful place in a great location near a train station. great kitchen, communal areas, the room was comfy and spacious and the staff were very friendly
use of kitchen, close to barrio italia
little dirty, small shower
Nice room, location and hostel overall was nice. Quiet given location.
Very badly mixed messages from staff. Had to check in late (10.30pm) and staff on booking.com couldn't tell me how to check in. Staff on WhatsApp were very useful, but still had to complete an escape room style challenge to get in. When I tried to check out at 9am, nobody was around to pay or leave bags with (despite being told the night before that this would be fine). WhatsApp person said it was fine to leave the bags in the room as we couldn't get access to the storage room and drop keys off and pay later. However I then got a booking.com messages chasing payment and when I returned to the hostel was essentially told I was lucky they weren't charging for two nights given I left the bags in the room... Overall, would be very useful if the contacts on WhatsApp and booking.com actually spoke to each other (and preferably the WhatsApp person handled both channels!).
Great location in the center of Santiago and near the Italian neighborhood. Room and bathroom were clean but the bathroom was a bit cold. A huge THANKS to Estefany who helped us a lot in doing a PCR test as 10pm.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Warm beds with plenty of linnen.
Rooms are a bit rugged and in need of reparation.
Light, airy room, large bathroom, guest kitchen to cook own meals if desired, quiet location but still central, extremely helpful and friendly staff.
Clean and modern with good kitchen facilities, tea and coffee available all the time. Helpful staff. Very close to Plaza Italia (we were there during protests and New Years Eve so did get quite noisy but not their fault and the building felt safe with a secure outside seating area).
I can't speak of this place highly enough. It is a beautiful old style building with a nice balcony overlooking a busy street where everything happens. Very friendly receptionist and ladies who prepare fresh breakfast. Very convenient location - short walk to restaurants, cafes, attractions etc.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was great and location excellent even during the disruption from the protest it was fairly safe
This is excellent value accommodation in the centre of Santiago. We stayed at a time when there was some protests in the main square. The staff were incredibly helpful and supportive.
Good location and staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately our room was located on the bottom floor, right next to the staff rooms and the reception area. As such our room was very noisy. You can hear every door open and close and talking at all hours. The rooms upstairs may be different, however I would not stay there again.
