Loved my stay here! One of the best beaches I’ve been to, and very friendly service. I will come back and would recommend it to anyone. So beautiful! If you want to take your instagram pics of a beautiful beach, or just chill and eat some fresh fruits and enjoy the sunset, this is the place to stay

Wir haben in der Kategorie nicht zu hohe Ansprüche gehabt. Allerdings sind die Bungalows ordentlich in die Jahre gekommen und wirken sehr karg und wenig gemütlich. Mobiliar abgerockt, Steckdosen instabil, Belechtung entweder Nachttischlampe oder Neonröhre. Im Bad keine Steckdose und auch keine Abtrennung zwischen Dusche und WC. Warmes Wasser hatte ich zwei Mal in 6 Tagen. Vorhänge gibt es nicht, sondern lichtdurchlässige Gardinen. Zimmerreinigung fand nur oberflächlich statt. Das Frühstück wird in einem unklimatisierten Raum serviert und das Essen wird dort ebenfalls ungekühlt ausgelegt. Schlechteste Frühstück auf all meinen Reisen bisher. Einzig der Privatstrand mit den hoteleigenen Liegen kann da punkten und auch das man fussläufig Supermärkte, Restaurants, Cafés etc. findet.

While this place is on the beach the facilities really need updating the staff at the restaurant need to learn to be wait staff as service is terrible There was a nightclub next door that went until 5am the aircon is not cold enough and extremely hard to adjust The water is not swim able as if you walk up a little bit there is sewage flowing into it the pool has no shade so the water is bath temperature night and day I would not recommend this hotel at all

Nice people and a nice little resort but Phu Quoc beach between and around the resorts is sadly very dirty. Overrated and overpriced as a destination. Even the water looks greenish; sewage, oil and gas, all kinds of stuff going in the water. Disgusting really. The government needs to step in and clean this place up. Its not cheap either. I would not return.

Standard bungalow set in the grounds. Lovely outlook. Quiet except for dogs barking most nights. Bathroom was wet room. The shower was hand held which made washing hair more difficult than if the shower was attached to the wall. Hairdryer could not be plugged in near a mirror so not ideal. The staff all seemed a bit gloomy. Not many smiles. Breakfast was ok. Only one choice of cereal and one choice of fruit juice. But usual choice of fruit, bread, egg station and Vietnamese breakfast choices. Beds were comfy. Beach was lovely. Plenty of natural shade from palm trees. Plenty of sun beds.

We stayed in the beachfront bungalow and really enjoyed it. Close to restaurants and shopping, short car ride to the night market (a must do).

We loved our beachside accommodation. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was in an excellent location.

Tolles Hotel mit eigenem Strand. Ausreichend Liegen. Strandhandtücher.Frühstück umfangreich. Jedoch nur bis 9:30. Schöne Anlage toller Pool und freundliches Personal. Wir werden wieder kommen.

Our stay was fantastic-the bungalow near the beach was perfect except I wish there would have been at least one chair to sit down inside the cottage. The grounds and beach were excellent and the breakfast was fantastic with a lot of choice.

Stayed in a regular bungalow, everything was good. Would have liked block out curtains and a couple of chairs in room so you don’t have to sit on bed, but was fine. We got sick there and manager came down to see us and especially made us ginger and ginseng tea, nice touch. Easy to walk onto street, many shops and restaurants, and bus stops. Can get food from bar and sit on beach, some nights music. Beds comfy

Great location, beach villas are top , just a few meters from the ocean. Very clean, excellent breakfast and food and staff was very friendly and helpful. Walking along the beach this has to be one of the best spots around. They do play some live music in the evenings, but it’s quiet after 9.30

My unique little beach bungalow was beautiful inside, staff was fabulous and New Year’s Eve was so wonderful. The resort went all out no exceptions to celebrate New Year’s Eve for their guests. The beach was beautiful and very clean with wonderful palm trees to shade you if youneeded

Sehr schöne Unterkunft. Hatten einen Bungalow direkt am Strand. Tolle Ausstattung und Größe des Bungalows. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Beim Frühstück gibt es eine Auswahl an verschiedenen Speisen, sodass für jeden etwas dabei ist. Direkt am Strand gibt es eine Cocktailbar und die Möglichkeit sich massieren zu lassen. Insgesamt ein tolles Hotel für einen Urlaub am Strand.

Excellent staff amazing rooms for low cost and close to the beach

I had a beachfront bungalow for 8 nights. The room was excellent. Bed was comfortable and staff cleaned the room each day. The beach was tidy and picturesque. Staff were lovely. Pool was great and clean. Gardens and trees very well kept. The only let down for this hotel is the food. The breakfast is unsanitary and i felt sick a lot during my stay, until towards the end after i stopped eating the breakfast. Nothing is cooled, and hot dishes are barely warm. Food poisoning waiting to happen. The food from the menu is not great either. I tried multiple things but it was not good. Live entertainers were very good as is having dinner on the beach, except for food quality. Please get some proper cooling and heating for your breakfast food. I am not sure if any food is refrigerated at all. Eat elsewhere when you stay here. There are nice restaurants out on the street that won't make you feel sick.

Clean, pretty, lots of lights at night

What an amazing stay! We booked our stay with some questionable reviews, let me say we have had the most pleasurable holiday. Check in was quick and we were then shown to our beachfront accommodation. Our room had what we needed and was cleaned every morning. Breakfast had an egg station and plenty of options. When the websites say beach view, well you cannot get any closer. We never encountered any mosquitoes and there is even a net over the bed which we didn’t use. There is a pool, staff are always making sure the beach is clean. There is a beach bar. Such a relaxing holiday for us.

This place came recommended to me by a friend, and it didn't disappoint. Actually, one thing disappointed: I was originally booked into one of the beach front bungalows, but because Vietnam Airlines messed around with flight times, I arrived later than planned and had to stay in the main building/hotel. But that bit was still lovely: big, spacious, cool, air-conditioned room, with a super comfy bed. Lovely balcony overlooking the path down to the pool and beach, lined with palm trees and all manner of tropical plants. The beach was lovely, although the sea was a little rough... not the kind you could just sit and bob about in. Plenty of sunbeds, all exclusive to the resort. The pool itself was lovely, clean, and quite warm - not sure if it was heated - with plenty of space around it to sunbathe...although sadly it poured with rain for most of my stay. But it was the rainy season... Staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. A lovely stay, just a shame about the weather... and would've loved a beach front bungalow.

We had a beach front room. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in the resort. The room is very simple, clean, and bathroom recently renovated. The view is what makes it. 5 steps and your on sand. 10 steps in the ocean. The pool is recently renovated and lovely! The restaurant (apart from breakfast) is just so-so. The bar area is away from the pool and also main beach area. It lacks atmosphere BUT has so much potential. Play some music! This is a large resort so if walking is a problem perhaps avoid as it a long way to reception and semi steep pathways. Dogs stole our shoes off verandah which we heard was common but we were not warned nor was their signage. Would we stay again? Yes.

Stayed in a deluxe room. Great air-conditioning and location. Pool was a bit smaller than I expected but still very nice. Right on the beach with cocktails at the bar and a happy hour not promoted just lucky. Breakfast was pretty good with fresh soups every morning and the usual eggs and bacon. Very decent price for what you get.

We loved our stay here, felt like a little bit of paradise! :) The beach is beautiful and clean (water not so much, but not much they can do), the room was spacious and housekeeping comes every morning. All the staff there is very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the beach bungallow and we wouldn't choose anything else, it's perfect. Breakfast is good, but can get a bit boring if you stay for a longer period (we stayed for 12 nights). PS: The lady that gives massages on the beach there is awesome, must try! Also the fruit lady!

Beautiful beach location and garden areas. Breakfast was amazing. Staff was great and very accommodating.

We loved, loved, loved this place. Adjoining beach bungalow with our friends. Waking up every morning to the beach, palm trees and sea and the evening sunset was magnificent. The bungalows are basic, but cleaned every day. The bed was soooo comfortable and really good pillows. And the air con did its job. A full size fridge and a roomy bathroom with a great shower. Shampoo and shower gel provided.What more do you need? Breakfast was basic but adequate. We ate lunch a lot of days at the beach bar which good. You can also pop to next doors beach bar for different menu in a couple of steps. A few reviews moaning about the bar closing at 10pm. It did but that was a positive for us as we were located close by. The next door bar stayed open with music. We found the staff super helpful and eager to please. They do struggle with language but it made it funny and wasn’t an issue. A special mention to Tam who looked after us at the bar ❤️ Used the pool for an early morning swim but never sat around it as it was too hot. Spent the days on the beach, plenty of beds and shady areas. Loads and loads of local bars/restaurants to choose from , either left or right out of the hotel. Night market is a must. Free bus or 80p in a taxi -use the Grab app . We used Johns Tours for a private speed boat day. Went on the cable cars, amazing .Reception will book tickets - think there’s a free bus for this aswell. We also did the Safari park, which was great. We got a taxi, but discovered afterwards there is a regular fee bus there just on the main road of hotel. I would never tire of that place, that beach, that sunset. We will definitely go back 💯

It had a magnificent beach area. The staff was so helpful in everything we needed. The room was kept clean and was very reasonably priced. It was like paradise on the beach, so many beautiful palm trees. I would go back if I was ever there again.

Very nice beach bungalow. Service slow at beach bar.with 4 staff on duty. Massage on beach dirty facilities.massage staff slept on floor between Massages. Could do very well if you invested in massage facilities so we never used. Room cleaning not very good missed sink mirror still dirty 1 cleaning smoked while cleaning not professional.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Sea Star Resort. It's ideally situated with lots of things to do and restaurants nearby. The staff were fantastic, always had a smile and helpful. We stayed one row back from the beach in a Deluxe Bungalow, which was a great location. The beach was kept clean by hardworking staff, and although the sea wasn't as clean as we expected, it was still ok for a swim and cool off. Sunbeds were always available and comfortable. We visited some other beaches on Phu Quoc, which we're pretty disgusting to be fair.The Swimming pool area was clean and surprisingly quiet at times.Breakfast was of an excellent standard with many choices. Beach bar was ideal for cold drinks and a good choice of food/snacks. We ate at many different restaurants nearby, which was all good and excellent value. If we were to return to Phu Quoc, we'd definitely stay at the Sea Star.

Hotel is in a fantastic location, stunning beach, loved sitting under the palm trees, always lots of beds and space and very clean. We had a standard bungalow, mozzie net absolutely essential, so glad we had one, air con was lovely and cool, bed comfortable. Bathroom needed updating, but the water was lovely and hot. Breakfast was in a very old fashioned room, very strange set up, but was very tasty and eggs however you want them. The beach bar was very expensive we only had 1 drink, they closed at 10pm and turned away business after this time, such a shame as they have a beautiful setting could make much more of this. Hotel definitely needs an update but great value for money. Some of the staff we found very serious, did not smile and say hello, but others were lovely. We booked our trips through John's tours - highly recommended and great value. We did 3 Island boat trip and south island tour which included the cable car and water park. Worth the walk to King Kong supermarket, but are a couple of local mini marts very close. Loved the Banh Mi stall on.kain road right from the hotel, excellent food and lemon ice drink. Best restaurant right from hotel down the first lane called 'Colors' amazing food. Another really good restaurant, main road right from hotel, did not catch the name but it was just after the shop where they kids paint. Menu says says sweat and sour pork. This was the best sweet and sour pork ever! And they also did amazing dumplings in broth. Little stall on main road to right did the best iced coffee only 20k We took the free bus to the night market, worth a visit be prepto be hassled. Hotel and Phu Quoc would recommend!

We simply loved it, it’s a great place to chill, relax. To wake up listening to sea lapping onto the beach is the best way to start your day. The sunsets from your terrace across the palm fringed beach was lovely. Our room was lovely, super comfortable beds and awesome pillows, the a/c worked great. The gardens were manicured, the beach was kept spotless and there’s plenty of shade under the coconut trees. Breakfast was good, however the meals that the restaurant served were dull. There’s plenty of options to eat out just outside the hotel, we preferred to turn right.

Fantastic beach spot. Good area to walk into town. Stayed out 3 hotels in PQ and this was my least expensive hotel but best beach. Wish they would do more to clean up the plastic and lobby local govt

Great spot and only 200 metres to street shopping & food

The hotel’s location is excellent. The beach is about fifty meters in front of our bungalow. It is a very safe place to stay and enjoy holidays. The room is exceptionally clean, but the Wi-Fi is weak. There are plenty of Vietnamese restaurants and souvenirs shop nearby. The hotel has a restaurant offering excellent Vietnamese dishes. We had excellent free breakfast including Vietnamese soup called Pho, fried spring rolls, various Vietnamese dishes and fruits, cheese, bread, coffee, tea, juice … The restaurant staff are very polite and professional, as well as the staff at the reception desk. Regarding the room cleaning service, the staff did an excellent job. We will certainly stay here next time we visit Phu Quoc.

Friendly staffs, excellent service. Bungallow has mosquito curtained beds, but i changed rooms to deluxe to avoid mosquitos after 1 day. They offered discounts because of inconvenience. Overall, nice place to stay, very close to beach

Beach was very nice , clean and well maintained. Room was excellent although a lottle small. Breakfast was mediocre.

We had a wonderful stay at Sea Star Resort in the beachfront bungalow. The bed was big and comfortable, the beach was clean and has many lounge chairs for guests, and it is walking distance to many great restaurants and street food vendors. I’d stay here again!

A very relaxing stay right on the beach ( beach front villa .) A really chilled break . Some good restaurants close by , found by luck as not really well identified. ( along a side street - Colours is good.) Recommend this resort for stay.

All the facilities are quite dated and could use a thorough update/remodeling/freshening Love thec close in location and well kept beach. We stay in one of the beach front bungalow love the beach facinf patio...just our bungalow had a roof leak.

This resort's facilities are a bit dated and are due some decent renovation/updating/freshening. Love the closed in location and nice clean beach. Love our beach feont bungalows...but again things are a bit dated

Can’t beat the view if you have the ocean front bungalow. The beach is very clean. The room is okay. Good enough for the money if you aren’t in for fancy things. Dislike the staff try to sale products at my breakfast time.

Not too bad

The hotel was absolutely fine for the cost of the room. Right on the beach and there is a bar next door that is great to watch the sunset. Breakfast was ok, could have had more options on the cooked menu and the buffet was very light on options. However, during covid it's obviously not easy to get this right. If looking for good value hotel in good location it is a decent option.

Good location, beach chalets are literally on the beach, very friendly and helpful staff. The air con in the room could be a little more powerful, maybe it just needs servicing, and breakfast could be a little more varied. Otherwise, I was really happy with my choice for 5 nights.

We stayed in a beach front cabin, which I would highly recommend. We spent many hours on the front porch out of the sun, but basically right on the beach. The included breakfast was good with lots of options and the food in the restaurant for lunch and dinner was tasty and reasonably priced. I didn't like that the ad for the hotel stated that they offered an airport shuttle service when they did NOT have one. Also I messaged them three times about getting picked up but they never responded. The cabin was big enough and the bed was comfortable, but there were no chairs to sit on. Even the beach lounging chairs on the porch only had one position: recline! There was no place to sit only to lie down. Also, there was only one water temperature available: cool. Hot water would have been nice.

A satisfactory experience nothing more and nothing particuarly less. The hotel and it's grounds are nice, with the pool and beach are being above average, but the rooms are tired and I was initially given a room. With a lot of damage to the floors, walls etc and with a very musty snell. At first they just send someone in to spray a bit of air freshener, but when I made it clear I wasn't happy, to their credit they moved me to the room next door. A good location for the local area. Close enough to the night market, local bars etc, but far enough away that you are not bothered by excessive noise.

The superior bungalow was perfectly placed, one row behind the beach bungalows, giving a little more privacy and still having beach views! Always clean and friendly + helpful staff, the resort was relaxing and a nice 1-2km stroll into the night market! I’d stay here again for sure!

Definitely go for the ocean front bungalows if the budget can do it. Great location for restaurants outside and the beach gets cleaned daily.

The room was a little small for a bungalow, but the bed was quite comfortable with good mosquito netting. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet with Vietnamese noodles, eggs, warm dishes, toast, sweets, yogurt and coffee and juice. The service was friendly and the pool was clean. The wifi was a little patchy and the surf was rough because it was the rainy season.

Great value and well-located resort on Phu Quoc. The Breakfasts were wonderful and evening meals on the beach were high quality and very enjoyable. Loved the garden bungalows and the nice stretch of beach on which the resort is located.

Very nice spot wifi is not good in the rooms but other than that great time nice beach and pool!

We stayed in the hotel section, modern clean rooms.... next time i would book a bungalow on the beach they looked amazing... lovely clean beach... Staff so helpful and friendly Breakfast was buffet style with choice of the usual omelets fried or boiled eggs scambled, lovely overlooking the beach... We hired a scooter from them to get around the Island, reasonable price. Thankyou Mandy & Brian Campbell

It was a relaxing experience to stay in the hotel, it is not the kind of luxury hotel but it could meet all my expectations. Buffet breakfast is just OK but with this budget I was good with it, room is clean with a balcony. Easy access to private beach, just a minute walk through the swimming pool. I was lucky to enjoy 2 days sunshine on this quiet beach.

Happy enough with hotel, liked the location right on the beach, great beach views from pool, staff good. Only complaint - the beds in the garden view rooms are very hard. Suggestion to hotel - put a sign up at the buffet breakfast to say "do not touch the food with your fingers, supervise your children at the buffet". Ocean not swimmable on some days in monsoon season as too dangerous.
