Hotel was ok. The load chacala birds was uncomfortable in the morning and the hotel was a walk from main center and Beach
Away from the hustle enough but close enough to walk. Closer to quieter north end of beach.
shower pressure was low otherwise everything was great.
All went well. Items that could use some attention would be shower water pressure was very low, partner complained of mattress support (too hard/ firm?) and the Jacuzzi's were never up to the the proper water temperature of 104*F.
This is good property with walking distance to beach. However, It is not ideal for people with disabilities as you have to take a few steps to the first floor and then walk down a street that is relatively steep. They were great with communication. If you need to purchase grocery just ask staff and they will assist. Restaurants were located about 10 minutes away.
What a lovely place! We really enjoyed our stay. A little North of the busy downtown, easily walkable (but better and more fun with a golf cart!), clean and quiet. There were always beach chairs and an umbrella for us to take to the beach, daily room cleaning, and any questions were quickly addressed by the manager (we used WhatsApp to communicate once we arrived in Mexico). Thank you for a great stay in Sayulita!
Beautiful room and exceptionally clean. We liked the quiet location. However be aware that the manager is generally not on site (she was available via email) and the remaining staff don't speak English. Also be prepared that there's a small cobblestone hill to climb to reach the hotel.
We had a fantastic stay at Mar y Suenos Suites! Very villa like feel. Not fancy but very comfortable and very clean. Went to sleep listening to the waves every night. Sabrina was a super communicative and helpful before and during our stay. It is a little bit of an uphill walk on cobblestone streets from town. We opted to rent a golf cart (which Sabrina set us up with) for a few days. The pool is small but perfect for a cooling off dip and float. The rooftop view is beautiful. We had a wonderful week there.
Excellent communication with Sabrina for check in. Hotel was clean and looked after daily. Just a couple blocks from the beach.
Great people, great service
No complaints at all.
Perfect
We had to extend our stay because we were so comfortable at this hotel. I would highly recommend it to whoever wants to come to the hustle and bustle, but then end up at a quiet area when you’re ready to rest.
I appreciated how clean the room was and how comfortable the bed. Lucia was very friendly and helpful.
Very nice service. Did not fit my accommodations unfortunately.
We only stayed for one night but would’ve easily stayed longer. It’s about a 15 minute walk from the center of Sayulita and nestled in a developing area. We stayed in a deluxe suite and I appreciated the kitchenette area (microwave, induction burner with pan, sink, fridge, utensils, etc). It was roomy, clean, and comfortable. A/C and ceiling fan worked great and we took advantage of the pool and jacuzzi. Staff was able to check us in early and we loved the cat (Luna) who kept us company at the pool & jacuzzi. Ha!
This hotel is a small boutique hotel in an amazing area and literally steps to the beach! The room is small, clean and has access to a rooftop with the most incredible views. The pool isn’t huge so we didn’t really use it, but otherwise, super nice!
I was able to check in early which was great. Room needed some maintenance which the hotel did promptly when asked. But - there was no lock on the window and only a door knob lock on the door so I didn't feel safe. Bought some wire to wire the window shut at night. Kitchen was minimally stocked... not enough to actually cook in it but there was a microwave to heat up any leftovers you had. Not a bad area... about a 10 minute walk to the closest beach and about 15 to town. Relatively quiet.
Very quaint. You can hear the waves crashing. Roosters do wake up early though
Great location, clean room and good daily housekeeping. Wifi was good. It’s what we wanted and would stay again.
Beautiful little property for a night or two. Staying on the north end really helps if you like a quieter environment during nighttime. A bit of an uphill walk to get to but the place is super clean and comfy.
Sabrina the manager is wonderful. She set up transportation from airport to Sayulita . This was really helpful since this was a first time visiting . The guest hoise is nestled on a hillside so there’s a good amount of walking on cobblestone & dirt to get to the restaurants and to the main square. If you don’t like to walk, you’ll need to rent a golf Cart.
Very nice rooms, kept very clean. Nice to have bottled water in room. Pools were small, top pool was more like a fountain. Beach is super walkable and its pretty quiet.
Our room was beautiful. It is very traditional in design which was very nice. We loved sitting on the patio, checking out the birds and the wildlife. We would love to return to this place in the future.
Very accessible to north beach and area. Super quiet and clean. We will definitely return
Amazing place. So quiet and great location. Room was perfect and Sabrina is super sweet. Look for the hotel cat! The fans and ac didn’t work the last night because of a storm. Not their fault but it was hot
Super clean, everyone is very friendly, walking distance to the beach and town, we would definitely bring our children here.
Really nice boutique hotel on the north end. Everything is walkable in Sayulita. Its quiet, safe and has a nice private pool and jacuzzi. Staff is excellent.
Beautiful property surrounded by trees with partial sea view from top units. Enjoyed bird watching! Better view from roof terrace. Spacious and well laid out. Comfortable bed. Fully equipped kitchen. Pool is small and a little too cool. Hot tub will be heated when you ask for it. Quiet part of town except for birds and roosters. Manager Sabrina was very helpful, great communication. They offer beach chairs, umbrellas and even bicycles. Walking distance to town and 5 minutes to the beach and several restaurants and shops. Would love to come back!
A fantastic value. The room price is more than fair, the breakfast was incredible and the entire facility was spotless. The staff was really accommodating. The cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in.
Adorable hotel, kind and accommodating staff. We loved that it was away from the craziness of the main area in Sayulita. There is a lot of walking, but it was helpful after all the Al Pastor tacos :)
Nicely located. Comfortably appointed. Beautiful view.
Mar y Sueños is a beautiful place, a short walk from downtown, the beach, and restaurants. Sabrina the manager takes such good care of guests. She was easy to get in touch with prior to and during my stay and helped arrange a golf cart rental that was brought to and picked up from the hotel. My room had what I needed and I especially appreciated having a full 5 gallon water dispenser in the room. The Wi-Fi, fan, and AC worked great as well. I loved that this place is close enough to downtown but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful.
Hotel manager Sabrina was great, very kind and helpful! The room very clean and beautiful rooftop patios.
Hot tub could have been warmer
Close to the beach. Pretty clean and nice room
Did not like the shower which was just a drive. Soap and shampoo was awful. Quiet part of town and good a.c.
Peaceful and quiet place up on the hill. Be prepared for stairs, and nature (including insects or all types). Very beautiful location. Comfy place.
Nice place
This is a lovely little hotel on the outskirts of busy Sayulita. It’s on a hill so a bit of a climb. We rented a golf cart so it was great. The pool was small but not many people stuck around during the day anyway. Two more lounge chairs would be nice for another couple to use at the same time. There’s not much difference from a studio and a suite. The studio balcony’s are in direct sun , the suite’s in shade. Studio has a one door mini fridge with a small freezer inside. The suite had one with a separate freezer door so you could fit a whole bag of ice in it. That’s all I cared about for mixing drinks by the pool. A small sitting area inside would have been nice. The service was great. They are very quick to accommodate all your needs! The rooms are clean. They offer breakfast delivery from a nearby restaurant. We never tried the delivery but the breakfast sandwiches from the North Side cafe were incredible ! We either went there or my husband brought it back. It’s close by. The coffee in your room was really good! A small two cup coffee maker but you get a little container of coffee refilled every day. They have sugar and coffee mate packages. We bought our own cream from the Mega store. The beach is close and not nearly as busy as the one in town. They provide beach chairs and umbrellas to take there but we just rented them on the beach. We prefer the loungers. It’s 200-250 pesos for the day. I think they give you a deal if you spend a certain amount of money on food & drinks from the beach side restaurant but We just had two margaritas. Overall , we had a great stay . Thank you Sabrina and all the rest of the staff!
This hotel was perfect for our needs. Its very close to the beach and an easy walk when you compare it to some of the other places on the north end of town that are very high up on the hill. The walk into the town centre is about 10 minutes but there are amenities very close by. Ours was a 1 bed studio suite and was very clean with a functionable kitchen (just could of used a larger coffee maker). The wifi worked well for the most part. The view from the roof-top sitting area was beautiful. We did not order the breakfast but is delivered by a local restaurant that we actually ate at and is very good. The price you pay at the hotel is the same as the restaurant price. The manager Sabrina, was very nice and accommodating and was there to meet us when we arrived. Just give her an email stating your estimated time of arrival. We loved all the birds that we can see and hear from our deck. The hotel is in a quiet location, away from the noise of the down-town area. The roosters where doing a good job of waking us at 4:00am so make sure to bring ear plugs! All in all a great stay and will return.
Good location, far enough away from the loud and busy areas. Location is not far from beach and not far up the hill so it made it easy to come-and-go. The suite was nice and clean with good airflow. There was only 1 hot tub and it was not kept hot but rather cold-to-room-temperature. I would stay here again but not for hot-tubbing.
This is a great spot with ocean views from the roof top. Older type building mexican style. Many bird species live in the area which made the experience even more interesting. Pool is small and water was cold but after a walk on a hot day it felt great. The location is about 5 minutes from the beach, great coffe shop arround the corner in a brand new building. They serve many different lates and very healthy breakbast. Walk to the town center is about 15 minutes.
Very good experience .Location is great if you like quiet areas. Walking distance to everything you need. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
A little disappointed in the pool as one day “not enough water”, then when I did get in(one time in 8 days) it was one depth not conducive to non swimmers or children. The jacuzzi was nice when cool and no obvious controls for heat or jets! The breakfast was never served and at end of trip found out there was “no cook”! The beach chairs were in sad shape as were the towels and when we wanted to exchange no one was about! The kitchenette was sufficient, and we loved our balcony for breakfast. The sitting area needed a fan overhead! The beach is close by but not a good spot to surf! The undertow was strong and no lifeguard at the North end! But we love this side of town and will come back again next year!
The staff were friendly and always willing to help us out. Sabrina was always available for us if we needed her. The hotel supplies towels, coolers with ice and umbrellas for the beach, everything you need! Our ac was a bit loud and kept us up at times but that would be our only negative comment. The pool was cold and refreshing and it was a nice 5 minute walk to the beach or restaurants.
Never being to Sayulita previously, we didn't know where to stay and took a chance here and we're almost 100% glad we did. The folks working here were VERY friendly and helpful. The room we had was very clean and decorated very nicely. Our view from our room was very nice with morning "wake up" sounds of birds. Now the bad news - the wifi was terrible. I needed to do some important searching was found it very difficult.
We had the best, most relaxing stay. My fiancé got sick on our check out date and Sabrina was extremely kind to let us take our time. The property is as advertised, pretty close to everything, however, at night, it can be hard to find. I highly recommend this hotel!
We stayed in the 2-br 2-ba Casa at Mar y Suenos. Very clean and spacious. Fully equipped kitchen. Two lovely outdoor sitting areas. Located close to many restaurants and stores. Beach is very close. Be sure to take an umbrella from the front desk before you go. We used the pool but not the jacuzzi during our stay. A friendly cat came to visit daily too. Would definitely stay here again.
A great place to stay in Sayulito, Mexico. North side of town, very private, great view. Staff were most helpful & had great English. A very short walk to many restaurants and shops. Rooms very clean & well appointed.. Will stay here again when we come back.
Service was excellent Receptionist was kind & helpful Safe
The hotel said they didn’t have my Expedia reservation even though I could clearly see on their computer that they had it. They told my that Expedia was suppose to decline the reservation but that didn’t happen. I then spent the rest of my last night in town trying to find a place to stay. After 4 wasted hours I found the worst of worst hotel but I had no choice. Clearly I’m upset about it.
I didn't like the fact that when I canceled my reservation 2 months in advance, due to the death of my wife, they kept my deposit
Great location close to all beaches and quiet all night.
We loved our stay at this small 6 rooms hotel. Perfect location if you want a calmer setting than downtown. Just 8 minutes walk from the beach and 15 minutes from downtown. A short walk uphill will keep you healthy. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The breakfast on the roof is a great way to start the day while looking at the scenery. There are rosters across the street, so bring earplugs if you don't like the natural wake-up call.
This places is awesome place close to beach and restaurants. The staff very happy and helpful, this place is very clean and safe nice little pool to cool off and chill out. Breakfast was great from the roof top restaurant aswell as having a few drinks up there at sunset. Truly a great place thanks Lucia and the rest of the staff 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😃
We went for my daughter’s birthday for two nights. $309 for room 2 with tax. 20-30 minute walk from the main square. Dirt road with no lights did not feel safe at night. Room look out on the laundry room so it was noisy at times and we had to keep the blinds shut. All windows had to stay closed due to mosquitoes. Only small window had a screen. No plates or glasses for kitchenette. Tiny pool with only two chairs. Breakfast was not great, no toast or tortillas for my two undercooked eggs. Beach is a hike away, no view from lower rooms. I can’t recommend this place especially at this price.
I was very disappointed that this room was very damp and the AC didn't work properly to cool and "condition" the room. My allergies were out of control. The owner however was very gracious and offered us a full refund. I'm sure for young people this would be an acceptable location. Travelers should also be aware that it is at the top of a nearly impossible to navigate winding rocky road, only a golf cart or car can make it up the hill comfortably.
The place was near the north end of town, so a little quieter which we liked, except the roosters next door and the wild birds which started EARLY in the morning, LOL. It was located up a fairly steep hill, so maybe not so good for people with mobility issues or couples with babies or toddlers. But you can rent their golf cart or scooter if you want. It's located a couple of blocks from the beach and they supply you with chairs, beach towels and umbrellas, which is great. The rooms are nice and include a small fridge and 2 burner cooktop with kitchen supplies and there are only 6 units, We booked ours with breakfast included and Ivan makes great pancakes and Mexican omelettes and the view from the terrace is amazing. Cleanliness could be better but overall the place worked for us.
We stayed here in December for 1 week and enjoyed our stay. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Here’s some feedback: 1. It’s out of the busy part of town so it’s not loud at night and there’s no construction noise. It was very peaceful and we could hear the waves crashing on the beach day and night. 2. It’s about 1.5 blocks to the beach. Very close and totally walkable. Restaurants nearby too! 3. Rent a golf cart anyway! Your legs will thank you! There’s so many hills! Ask Miriam in reception and she will call the company for you. It was so easy. They drove the cart to us at the apartment and then we just left the keys in it on our last day and they came and picked it up. It was so fun buzzing to town in the evening and having dinner. When we went to the beach for the day we could load a chair, umbrella, towels and supplies with ease. The roads were super safe for driving, probably 50% vehicles on road were golf carts and quads! Electric is best, just plug in each night. Don’t bother with gas. 4. Room was nice, very Mexican inspired. Beds were comfortable and bathroom had a huge walk in shower. Little kitchenette was perfect for making bacon and eggs in the morning and chopping fresh fruit. 5. Want snacks other then chips and beer from corner stores? Stop at Mega on your way there! We bought cheese, fruit, breakfast supplies etc on our way and we were glad we did. There are no grocery stores. 6. Beach in the cove by the cemetery has smaller waves and it is more accessible for those of us who are scared of swimming in the big surf on the Main beach. 7. Jose Ramos Transportation is excellent! They picked us up at the airport, drove us to Mega and waited 45 minutes while we shopped then took us to Sayulita and dropped us off at the apartment. Picked us up on way home. On time, courteous and nice new SUV vehicles. 8. Ask Miriam and she will give you chairs and umbrellas to take the beach - no charge. 9. Lots of stairs here so not really accessible for those with mobility issues. 10. Balcony is small but there is a large rooftop patio that gets lots of sun and we would get coffees there each morning. I think they did breakfast too. 11. It’s not beachfront and it’s not fancy but for the price it was a great little spot to relax for the week. 12. WiFi was available sometimes. Other times it didn’t work. 13. Pool was perfect for cooling off after the beach in the afternoon but it’s not really set up to lounge around for the day at. Not enough sunshine. Small hot tub like set up too but we didn’t try it. 14. Cute resident cat greeted us each day :) Thanks!!
Quiet location and great amenities. Breakfast was great, staff very helpful and accommodating.
Great place once you have found it. Its not easy for a taxi to locate as there is quite a lot of both building and roading works in the area. The villas are great and very good condition.
Nice place and excellent service.
This was a traditional hotel. It was very beautiful and the staff was great. I guess my only complaints are that the bed could be softer and the pillows could be better. It could also use more lights when walking to the hotel. It was very dark when I returned at night. Other than that it was a nice quiet stay and the staff did a great job of being so helpful.
Our unit was very spacious, comfortable and clean. We loved the view from the rooftop deck and appreciated the use of beach chairs and umbrella to take to the beach which is less than a 5 minute walk away. Staff were great, pool and hot tub a nice treat and the location is near to everything yet just the perfect distance from the busyness to be relaxing and peaceful. We'd definitely stay here again.
The room was fully equipped for our holiday. The bed was excellent and the suite was cleaned every day. There were beach towels, chairs and umbrellas available for our use. The staff was excellent and very helpful. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
We had a great time here. The place is peaceful and the rooms are really comfortable and clean. The staff is also very kind. The nearest beach is just two blocks away and, just a few meters more, you can find delicious pizza and other meals. We definitely recommend "Mar y sueños" for your next stay in Sayulita!
Excelent location, beautiful hotel, great attention from the staff. The city center is a small walk away, so the hotel is quiet and confy. Rooms fully equiped and have an awesome view to the ocean (in the higher floors) if I go back to Sayulita, it will definitely be there!
This is an excellent place to stay. It is very clean, spacious and very quiet. I liked the fact that it was away from the hectic downtown area. Yet, it was close enough so that you could walk to all the restaurants. I would highly recommend Mar Y Suenos!
I can not say enough about this place. But here's what I will say 1. The staff keep this place very clean and well maintained 2. It's in a very quiet location , only minutes to the north beach and 10 ish minutes to the main beach 3. The beds were pretty comfortable 4. I love that there is screens on the windows so you can keep creepy crawlers out and still get a great breeze 5. The shower is huge 6. The water cooler is a great touch so that you always have purified water on hand 7. The plunge pool is great, especially after the Sweaty walk up the hill 8. Studios are large with a nice little sitting deck and breakfast nook 9. Free WiFi 10. Amazing restaurants only blocks away 11. Yoga only 1 block down the hill You should know 1. It is up a dirt hill with cobble stone. Not great if you have mobility issues. But you can rent golf carts in town and there is s place to park them and plug them in 2. The rooms could use extra pillows and blankets. They might give them to you. We never asked. All in all we loved our stay and will be back soon
Stayed for 5 nights at this apartments, yes it does not so lose to the main surfing beach but it is cheaper and it is quieter than leaving in the center. But it is near to the common beach! It is about 10 minutes walk to the surfing area. I liked Sayulita, it is quite and it has the atmosphere of the relaxation. I' m not the surfing person but my husband is, so in Sayulita you can spend time as a surfer and as a non surfer:)) As for apartments we had everything we wanted, the kitchen, the swimming pool, the balcony etc. really recommend this apartments as you are looking fora cheap stay with all the amenities.
