Riad du Ciel Marrakech

The staff were amazing, particularly SiMo and Abdul. The location is great - you are in the heart of the Sucks in 5 minutes. There are lots of nice restaurants within walking distance, and some of the main attractions are also close by. If you want to stay in the Medina, this is a great spot. The rooftop terrace is spectacular.

A kettle in the room would be great - however the staff are more than happy to make you an authentic mint tea.

Such a lovely riad. The amenities were excellent. Customer service was exceptional. They went above and beyond to help me get settled when I arrived as my taxi driver dropped me off two blocks away. So they came to find me and bring me to the riad. Additionally they lived up to the expectations with continued kindness and generosity throughout my stay. They took the time to book me a driver to get back to the airport and gave me great recommendations for activities to do during my stay. The room was so beautiful. I would definitely stay here again.

The location was perfect. The amenities and the room was exceptionally beautiful.

We liked everything

We really enjoyed our stay at this riad! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially Abdo, who always made sure we had everything we needed. Simo also gave us a great introduction to Marrakech with helpful tips and a map on our first day. The riad is beautiful, the rooms were clean, the breakfast was good, and we loved the rooftop terrace. The location was perfect—close enough to the souks (only a 2-minute walk) but still in a quieter area. It was also very convenient that taxis could stop right outside, with a taxi stand just around the corner. The air conditioning worked well, and we really appreciated the fresh flowers in our room after it had been cleaned.

There were a few small downsides. The Wi-Fi and mobile signal didn’t work well in our room, the birds in the courtyard could be quite noisy in the morning, and since we stayed on the ground floor, we could hear other guests coming and going. The beds were a bit too firm for us, and the room wasn’t very dark at night because the door and windows didn’t block out the light completely. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this riad!

It was a pretty riad and good location to walk around and was clean.

The staff were not that friendly. I was surprised as all the reviews said they were always available and would go out of their way to help but we didn’t encounter that and we are very outgoing, friendly people. Also our rooftop pool was dirty for the first two days. For a 6 day stay the breakfast is very repetitive and is very carb heavy though they had promised me there would be plenty to eat for my diabetic husband. I did not think the value for the money was good.

Wystrój jest niesamowity, bardzo duży pokój z widokiem na dziedziniec, duża bardzo stylowa łazienka. Przemiły personel. Bardzo czysto.

Nie ma takiej rzeczy, która by mis sie nie podobała. Śniadania były w stylu lokalnym ale jak poprosiłem o jajka sadzone bez problemu zostały przygotowane.

Very beautiful nicely furnished riad in Medina. We had spacious room and outstanding breakfasts. Simo (hotel manager) was very friendly and open-minded: explained in details local surroundings and also helped us to contact car rental on our last day in Marrakech.

Sehr gastfreundliches Personal. Frühstück reichhaltig und abwechslungsreiche über die verschiedenen Tage. Vögel, die einen morgens wecken und keine Katzen in der Anlage.

Teppiche im Zimmer, die Allergien auslösen können. Zustand der Infrastruktur wird zu wenig gepflegt und erhalten und zeigt Verschleisszustände in allen Bereichen - schade.

Really quite riad with high quality rooms in the north part of the medina. Staff was really polite and the room was cleaned daily. Our room was very big, heavily decorated with a small private terrace, however with no view to the inner pool.

The price was a bit expensive. It is not the most modern riad but the rooms have a high quality.

Personal war sehr zuvorkommend - sehr aufmerksam und es wurden alle Wünsche perfekt erledigt. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und selbst für Sportler sehr ausgewogen - jeden Tag eine andere Auswahl. Zimmer war sehr sauber, immer frische Blumen und ungewöhnliche Aufmerksamkeiten die man nicht erwarten würde. Fragen nach Sehenswürdigkeiten wurden immer perfekt beantwortet. Eintrittskarten konnte über das Personal gebucht werden - Taxifahrten zu einem Schnäppchenpreis geordert werden. Zeitüberbrückung bis zum tatsächlichen Abreisezeitpunkt war kein Problem.

We arrived at the Marrakesh airport very late past midnight. Our driver was at the agreed spot waiting for us, and the transfer worked perfectly - exactly what one needs at that time. The Riad is a little island of peace in the chaos of the Medina. As soon as you step in, luscious fragrance and tranquility envelop you. The courtyard is beautifully lit and the pool whispers your name. Orange tree is sporting a harvest of fresh fruit. The rooms are spectacular - spacious and private with fresh flowers in each. There is a rooftop, of course. Our room had a private rooftop section with a small plunge pool and a day bed - perfect place to relax after a day exploring the Medina. The main terrace is just as good - good views, roses in bloom, and a place to chill. The team at Riad Du Ciel might be the best part. They make Marrakesh Medina proud. The place is spotlessly clean, and breakfast is excellent. Simo, Rachid, Sana and Mauna are really welcoming and helpful.

From the patio water was leaking into the room with rain. Our room had no possibility to shower, only a bath. I think the bathroom room needs some upgrade.

Personale molto gentile, ci ha fornito tutte le informazioni necessarie per visitare al meglio la città; al nostro arrivo ci hanno accolto con il the e biscotti deliziosi, a seguire la migliore cena marocchina; la colazione era buonissima, ogni mattina aveva proposte differenti, dolci e frutta fresca già tagliata con spremuta di agrumi. Il Riad è molto accogliente con albero di frutta nel giardino interno e terrazza panorama sulla città.

Il portoncino di ingresso chiuso non rappresenta un problema, anzi, conferisce sicurezza. Sarebbe comunque gradevole trovarlo aperto.

Absolute must-stay. The riad is beautiful, quiet and cozy. The location is fantastic as the riad is close to the souks, but in a quiet area that feels really safe, even at night. The staff (in particular Rachid and driver Riad) are amazing. So kind, welcoming and helpful. They made our stay a wonderful experience. We did two tours through the riad as well and would highly recommend that. The breakfast was delicious as well. Just an allround amazing place, highly recommend.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt im Riad. Besonders gefallen hat uns die tolle Lage – zentral und dennoch sehr ruhig, sodass man sich wunderbar erholen konnte. Das gesamte Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich, aufmerksam und sehr zuvorkommend. Auch der Transfer zum und vom Flughafen war perfekt organisiert und hat reibungslos funktioniert. Das Riad selbst ist sehr sauber, liebevoll gestaltet und hat eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Der Zimmerservice war ebenfalls hervorragend: Jeden Tag war das Zimmer wieder picobello aufgeräumt und sehr sauber. Insgesamt haben wir uns hier sehr wohlgefühlt und können das Riad definitiv weiterempfehlen.

Ein paar kleine Punkte könnten noch verbessert werden: Das WLAN war teilweise etwas instabil, hat aber insgesamt ausgereicht – wir waren schließlich im Urlaub. Praktisch wäre außerdem eine Halterung für den Duschkopf in der Badewanne, da das Duschen mit nur einer Hand etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig ist. Das landestypische Frühstück war lecker, jedoch jeden Tag recht ähnlich (verschiedene Brotsorten, Gebäck und etwas Obst). Auf Nachfrage gab es auch frischen Saft / Joghurt und Spiegeleier. Unser Tipp: Diese Optionen vielleicht standardmäßig anbieten – dann wäre das Frühstück wirklich perfekt.

Menu du dîner avec entrée plat et dessert complet obligatoire un peu cher , surtout si on ne souhaite pas l'entrée ni le dessert.

breakfast was great - a little different every day - but lots of fresh bread, fruit, and cake. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the two cleaners who chased two birds out of our room!

Riad molto bello e tranquillo, un oasi di pace. La camera corrispondeva esattamente alle foto presentate su booking, ampia con un bagno altrettanto grande e spazioso. La colazione buona e variata, ogni giorno con qualche cosa di diverso. Il personale molto gentile e disponibile. La posizione buona, a circa 10/15 minuti dalla piazza principale. da molti ristoranti, negozi e souk.

In realtà nulla, ma se devo fare un appunto è che in questa stagione dove la mattina e la sera anche le temperature di Marrakech sono piuttosto basse (per noi italiani), la camera che è di 36 mq. era inizialmente piuttosto fredda. Il riscaldamento con l'aria calda ha impiegato almeno un giorno a renderla più calda e sarebbe stato meglio accenderlo con largo anticipo. Abbiamo trovato alcuni ristoranti con il camino acceso, questo appunto per dare l'idea delle temperature.

La gentilezza, la disponibilità e la professionalità del personale

Nous avons tout aimé, l'emplacement dans la médina mais malgré tout au calme, la propreté des lieux, les petits déjeuners copieux et variés, la disponibilité et la gentillesse du personnel.

Schon der Kontakt vor der Anreise verlief absolut reibungslos und wir fühlten uns bereits willkommen, bevor wir überhaupt dort waren! Das Frühstück war sehr abwechslungsreich, wir haben es sehr genossen in dem schönen Ambiente ganz gemütlich in den Tag zu starten. Gerade im Winter ist dieses Riad sehr zu empfehlen - es gibt ein Kaminzimmer, in dem man die Abende ausklingen lassen kann.

Alles war bestens!!!

Riad vétuste qui manque d’entretien ce qui est dommage au vu des tarifs pratiqués. Oreillers très sales , rouille sur les menuiseries et la baignoire .

The room was amazing, with its own private rooftop terrace. The staff were so friendly and helpful. And the food was excellent, we ate one evening meal when we arrived, and the breakfasts were perfect. Highly recommended!!!

Accogliente, pulitissimo, profumato, arredato con gusto. Colazione con prodotti diversi ogni mattina e cucinati al momento. È stato un soggiorno bellissimo. Camera enorme e altrettanto bagno enorme con bidet. Comodo come posizione. Una sera abbiamo anche prenotato la cena buona e abbondantemente. Non trovo nessun difetto!! Inutile dire che lo consiglio.

Het voelt als een intieme en veilige accommodatie, het personeel is zo vriendelijk en voelt heel familiair. Ze zijn ook erg flexibel en behulpzaam.

We stayed in the wonderful Riad de Ciel for 8 days. From the first day we felt like home. Everything is done to make you enjoy your stay, nothing is too much trouble. The riad is so well situated in the Medina, lots of restaurants and shops close by, still so quiet and cozy here. The rooms are decorated in a beautiful, romantíc style. Clean towels and bed linen every day. Delicious breakfast with, fruits, fresh bread, home made pancakes and fresh orange juice among other things. Last but not least Simo, Rachid and their team Sana, Mona and Marwan go out of their way to make your stay convenient and unforgettable. Thank you for wonderful dinner upon arrival, doing our laundry and offering tea or water everytime we came home from a long day out in the city. Thank you all for caring and making our stay in Marakesh so wonderful.

Destacar la tranquilidad del Riad. Los desayunos (tuvimos 3) variados y muy ricos. La atención de todos los empleados, que hacen que durante la estancia no te falte de nada. Es muy bonito y habitación amplia (des etoiles), algo oscura eso sí.

Como negativo destacaría la ducha, porque tiene poca presión y el desagüe no tragaba, por lo que se formaba piscina. A la llegada no tuvimos problemas de encontrar el Riad porque usamos su servicio de transporte, pero si es cierto que no está señalizado, aunque nada que google maps no arregle :)

We are a family of 4 (children 12 and 14) and had an amazing experience at Riad du Ciel from start to finish. It really is such a peaceful sanctuary in the middle of the noise and wonderful chaos of the Medina. Service was exceptional - every member of staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Nothing was ever a problem from organising taxis to bringing us mint tea and tasty Moroccan sweet treats when we got in from an exhausting day walking the busy, hot streets of Marrakesh! The Riad itself is a beautiful and relaxed space. We had two rooms on the first floor which were both huge with extremely comfortable beds and fabulous bathrooms. Our room had its own private terrace and little pool. Listening to the call to prayer as we watched the sun set over the city from our terrace is an experience none of us will ever forget. Breakfasts were delicious with plenty to choose from and varied every day. To sum up, if you are going to Marrakesh, and want to stay in the Medina, we don't think you could make a better choice! Highly recommend!

Ouve-se algum barulho mas nada de grave ou que possa ser melhorado uma vez que o quarto dá para o centro da riad que é onde se faz o pequeno-almoço.

Charming riad with a comfortable room and bed, an amazing shower, helpful staff and delicious breakfast. Easy to find location with a petit taxi stand nearby. The manager also gave us great restaurant recommendations and a very useful map to get to key sites.

The wifi was a bit spotty in our room. Don't know if that was because we were on the ground floor.

The property is Amazing but the Amazing about this place are the people. I travel around the world and Never meet such an honest, strive to help and give you the best price for anything you ask for and an honest opinion. If you happen to see Rasheed or Simo, you will be Super lucky

Ruhige Oase mitten im Trubel von Marrakesch. Pool für die Erfrischung nach und/oder während eines anstrengenden Tages voller Entdeckungen in der Medina. Sehr höfliches, kompetentes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Absolut saubere und gepflegte Räumlichkeiten. Ausgiebiges Frühstück. Tolle Architektur und Einrichtung.

Die Klimaanlage war leider nicht stark genug, um das Zimmer im heißen Sommer auf die gewünschte Temperatur herunter zu kühlen. Dies sollte nach bereits erfolgtem Hinweis unsererseits zum Komfort der zukünftigen Gäste nochmals geprüft (und ggf. repariert) werden.

La struttura è fantastica, le camere sono enormi e veramente pulite. Il giardino e la piscina sono un’oasi di pace. La colazione super e Rachid sempre presente ma discreto allo stesso tempo, rendono questo Riad assolutamente da 10!

Anche sforzandosi non riesco a trovare nulla di negativo.

Magnifique Riad très bien entretenu, dans un coin tranquille et central de Marrakech. Propreté impeccable, AC et déjeuner délicieux. Le personnel est très gentil et accommodant!

Probably the most beautiful and luxurious hotel experience we have ever had! Rachid and the staff made us very welcome. The Riad is a calm, beautiful oasis in the middle of the busy medina. Breakfast was wonderful and we really appreciated the pool to cool off in the heat of the day. I could not recommend Riad du Ciel more highly.

Everything was good.

Super clean, quiet and peaceful with plenty of beautiful spaces to lounge and relax. The rooftop and pool were my favourite. The staff were kind and welcoming.

The twin room I was in could use a few small improvements for the comfort of future guests: fix the electrical outlets so they all work, add a mount for the shower head so you don’t have to hold it, and add lights to the closet so you can see the contents easier.

By far the best place to stay in Marrakech. The staff was amazing and attentive and the Riad was well kept and gorgeous. The breakfast each morning was delicious and the staff gave many recommendations for restaurants and things to do around the city. The rooms were all very well decorated with many amenities. Everything is close by and walkable as well. The shuttle to and from the airport was also very convenient.

This experience was amazing! For sure, we will come back!

Due to emergency situation at home, we shortened our stay, supposed to be 4 nights, we only stayed for 2 nights. It was a pleasant stay. Staff are helpful.

The perfect place to stay in the Medina. The room was great and decorated in line with the great culture of Marrakesh. We will definitely rebook this Riad when we return. The staff were tremendous and very helpful.

The staff was incredible and they exceeded any expectations I had. The decor of the hotel and the room was as traditional as it gets. Fresh, massive breakfasts provided every morning. Right in the heart of the Medina. Anything you could want to see in Marrakech is just a short walk away.

It was lovely and clean, beautiful architecture, room amazingly decorated, great to have roof terrace as an option. The staff were amazing, so helpful and very attentative. Thank you!

It was perfect to stay in the Medina. Just for other travelers, the Medina is very busy and can be loud. Expect to hear some outside noise but it is a lovely oasis in all the noise.

This riad was great, inside it was very peaceful and quiet. The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast every day was plentiful and delicious with different options each of the 3 mornings. The riad is not far from Jemaa el-Fnaa only a 15min walk (once you have worked out all the turns to make in the souks) Rashid was really helpful and even arranged an early breakfast for the day went into the Atlas Mountains. Communication up front with Simo was great to organise a car from the airport. Overall a great place to stay, highly recommend!

After some initial confusion on our room, SiMo made it all right. Loved our accommodation. The Riad is stunning and the staff excellent.

It is an oasis of calm in the midst of chaos. It is one of the only good things about the stay in Marrakech.

Everything with this riad is nice- especially the friendly staff! They really are so helpful with whatever you need. The location is perfect for shopping, allthough not in the most busy part of the souk. A very nice breakfast with small changes everyday. The rooms are very clean, spacious and with a lot of charm. Hope to come back soon!

Beautiful Riad with exceptionally kind staff. Our first room was a normal size room, and we were offered a larger room from the 2nd night - a very generous upgrade for free. Our second room was enormously huge with a double bed (made for giants :) ) Breakfast is lavish, you can survive almost the whole day with having only the breakfast. The building, the rooms and the inner courtyard are beautiful.

It was the most wondrous room I have stayed in. An absolute dream.

Simon was very welcoming and helpful even before our arrival. He contacted me asking if we needed help with anything before arrival and sent a car for us to the airport upon request. When we arrived, he served us tea, and showed us a map of the medina, explaining every little detail and helping with our itineary while in marrakech. I needed his help quite a few times, and he was always avaliable to call. He recommender us restaurants (NOT big touristy ones, but small street-food and cheap but delicious places), and each time we took a taxi somewhere he told us what the normal price would be so we could bargain the prices to a regular level. The rest of the staff spoke impeccable english as well, were very helpful and kind. Excellent breakfast! It was different every day. The locatikn of the riad is on a calmer street, but is a minute walk from the souks. Our room was comfortable and pretty, and was not loud at all. This is probably the best place I’ve ever stayed at, and if you have the chance to stay here yourself, do not miss it!

The peace and tranquility the minute you step into the riad. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty and Simo couldn’t have been more helpful!

The only very minor issue was the water pressure in the shower wasn’t great, but it wasn’t enough to cause a major problem! Otherwise, we had no complaints. Use google maps and not Apple Maps as apple have the riad in totally the wrong place!

Hospitality, decor and ambiance of the room & riad. Was shown few better units and instantly regretted not booking those ..for next time :)

My db room, while well decorated and large, is dark as night, with window only to an interior stairway. The position of it also kept me up each night with loud teens hanging out in street. Recommend the larger units facing courtyard.

The traditional building and super friendly staff

The location was fine, the room was very good and spacious. The breakfast was a little inconsistent. How about a boiled egg for breakfast. Simon and Rachid we’re absolutely fantastic, so helpful, so friendly.

The photos of the swimming pool are deceptive. - it appeared to be a lap pool, but is it not a swimming, just a pool of wqter for soaking.

Riad du Ciel was a very special place. It was peaceful, beautiful and charming with such care and attention given to everything. The staff were so kind and unassuming and had an amazing ability to be available whenever you needed them yet remain discrete and respectful of your privacy. The breakfast was delicious. Great location too right next door to the perfume museum and very close to the souks. I would wholeheartedly recommend Riad Du Ciel and will definitely stay here again if I am lucky enough to return to Marrakech. Thank you!
