Casas Da Faja

Una casa preciosa en un entorno inigualable, con vistas a la Fãja. Por dentro está totalmente equipada, en la cocina tiene todo el menaje necesario para pasar unos días estupendos, la cama es muy cómoda y el baño amplio. Y el exterior es otra maravilla, con un jardín para relajarse, y una zona cubierta con parrilla y una mesa. Pasamos unos días estupendos. Además, Cristiano, el anfitrión, fue encantador y nos explicó todo sobre la casa y nos dió muchas recomendaciones. Obrigada por todo!

Quiet , private and had everything that we needed

Großzügiges Haus, Grillplatz, Garten. Es war alles da, was wir brauchten inkl Kohle für den Grill. Christiano gab uns wertvolle Infos für die Insel.

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen und war unsere Lieblingsunterkunft auf unserer Azorenrundreise. Das Häuschen ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht, es ist sauber, hat eine wunderschöne Lage, wenn man direkt in der Natur wohnen möchte. Wir haben in der Dunkelheit draußen begeistert den Rufen der Sturmtauchervögel gelauscht. Sowas ist wirklich einzigartig. Der Hausherr erwartete uns wie verabredet zur Ankunft und erklärte uns alles rund ums Haus und was man alles auf Faial unternehmen kann. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Wohl die beste Unterkunft die wir je hatten. Sorgfältig renoviertes, altes Doppelhaus mit Verbindungstrakt mit modernster Ausstattung. Perfekte Küchen- Ausstattung mit viel Geschirr. Alles Blitz sauber. Dazu der grosse Garten den wir beim warmen Wetter unter dem schattigen Baum sehr genossen haben. Dazu der herzliche Empfang des Besitzers Christiano - so sollte ein Traumurlaub wirklich sein !

Tout. L'hôte très sympathique nous attendait à notre arrivée et était très bien préparé pour nous informer des fonctionnalités de la maison et des attraits de l'île. Bonne localisation pour aller en rando. Maison superbe, plage sauvage et village tranquille avec une épicerie pratique. Nous avions une des deux maisons, la petite, parfaite, l'autre n'était pas louée. Peut être intéressant pour un groupe de prendre les deux.

Nous avons été très bien accueillis, le propriétaire est vraiment au petit soin pour ses hôtes. Le logement est très bien équipé et propre. Le gros plus, un beau barbecue !! Dépaysement, et sérénité au rendez-vous. Foncez !!!

It is an extraordinary cottage house, in a small village by the ocean coast. You can hear the waves from the property. The house is small but sufficient, very very clean and very well equipped. The appliances are clean and not very used. The owner is a lovely person - he waited for us till late night because we were arriving from late ferry. The owner explained everything, provided us with instructions, maps, recommendations, and he has user's manual for all the equipment in the house - it was just wonderful! There is a second cottage on the property, so neighbors are possible but we were alone. There is a terrace just outside kitchen to eat outside, there is a dedicated BBQ area as well. A separate rock shed in the back holds washing machine, dryers, cleaning and bbq equipment if needed. The scenery is beautiful. Wi-fi works fine. Bathroom is small but sufficient. Beds were comfortable ok. There is a parking inside but you can also leave the car outside. Be sure you make you shopping prior to arriving because there is nothing in the area. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

I wish we planned our trip differently to stay in this wonderful place for a week, and not only 3 days!

The accomodation was wonderful. It had everything and more that one need (for example a Washington Maschine and a dryer as well as a towle warmer). The Host was extremly nice and even gifted us some of his homemade jam.

Les casas de Fajã sont d’adorables maisonnettes en pierre de lave , loties dans un splendide jardin où il fait bon vivre. La literie est extrêmement confortable , la cuisine bien équipée , les matériaux de qualité. Un peu perdu au bout du monde mais ça vaut le coup. Bruits des vagues , soirées étoilées , allez y les yeux fermés ! Le welcome pack est bien fourni , la confiture de raisins faite maison délicieuse !!

Der Gastgeber Cristiano hat uns sehr herzlich mit Brot, Kaffee, Milch und eigener, leckerer Tomatenmarmelade in der Unterkunft empfangen. Er hat uns viele Informationen zum Haus, der Insel, Wandertouren, Essensempfehlungen etc. mitgegeben, die für uns sehr hilfreich waren. Das Haus liegt in einer ruhigen Gegend in der Nähe zum Strand und an einer Wanderroute und ist sehr geräumig. Die Küche ist hervorragend (sogar mit Induktionsherd und Geschirrspüler) und mit ausreichend Geschirr und Besteck ausgestattet. Im Garten kann man grillen oder sich sonnen oder einfach entspannen. Auch eine Waschmaschine und ein Trockner sind vorhanden. Wir hatten einige Unterkünfte auf den Azoren, das war mit Abstand die beste! Vielen Dank Cristiano!

Que des éloges : un hôte, Cristiano, adorable, qui nous a accueilli et nous a présenté sa maison (une ancienne maison où ils faisaient autrefois le vin rénovée avec goût) et donné de bons conseils. La maison est en pierre volcanique avec un jardin coquet. La maison est impeccable, avec un équipement de qualité (literie, équipement de cuisine, climatisation dans la salle et les 2 chambres...), extra propre et idéalement située. Si nous pouvions mettre plus de 10 nous le ferions. Parking prive devant la maison. Petites attentions pour nous et notamment une confiture maison faite par son épouse. C'est la meilleure location qualité-prix que nous avons eue. N'hésitez pas, prenez la!

Es increíble, tiene todas las comodidades posibles. Nos han dejado una mermelada casera, leche café pan… además nos han explicado todo lo necesario para pasar unos días en la isla. Volveremos ! Muchas gracias

Tout était parfait. Accueil très chaleureux de Cristiano, qui nous a expliqué un peu l'histoire de la maison, de l'île, et qui a pris le temps de nous montrer sur une carte des chemins de randonnée. Le village est très calme, bercé par le bruit des vagues, et le son des puffins cendrés le soir. La maison est très bien équipée et dispose de tout le nécessaire. Quitter la maison était difficile tellement on y était bien ! On reviendra ;)

Rien, tout était parfait.

Supervriendelijke gastheer en gastvrouw, die veel nuttige info kunnen geven! Alles wat je zou kunnen nodig hebben tijdens je verblijf is aanwezig, want er is zelfs een extra stockageruimte met bijvoorbeeld gerief om te bbq'en. Het allergrootste pluspunt is sowieso de rust. Je hoort er echt bijna niks, behalve dan de vogels en de zee. Ook vonden we het ideaal dat het huisje al meteen op een prachtige wandelroute van 5km ligt. En het is natuurlijk ook leuk dat de zee op wandelafstand ligt. Kortom, een echte aanrader!

Het enige minpunt is misschien dat het een half uur rijden is naar de dichtstbijzijnde supermarkt, maar dat is het zeker waard.

Very friendly welcome, nice garden/surrounding, quiet and beautiful place

Everything about this location was great! The house was quaint , has everything you need! Fridge, stove, oven the whole shibang! It felt like a nice relaxing beach house! He also has booklets to show you what to do, what to see when you're on the Island AND manuals on how to operate things in the house ( It is in Portuguese so you will need google translate). And it was in a nice quiet area with a great view of the mountains/cliffs around you and just hearing nothing but the sounds of nature is amazing! Will definitely come again when I come back to Faial!

There is nothing I didn't like about this place! My only recommendation is when he gives you a tour and shows you the laundry area, is to ask him what setting on the washer and drier is the closest to a normal wash. It is very helpful for those of us coming from North America where our settings are different titled.

The house is well equipped and comfortable. The old buildings have been renovated to a high standard. We enjoyed the local beach which is absolutely beautiful with its black sand and white surf. The village is quiet and calm. The Snack-bar Pizzaria Fajã, just a few hundred meters away, does fabulous pizza. Christiano, the owner, provided plenty of information on activities and attractions as well as some welcoming fresh bread, home made jam and coffee. Communication was good and a power cut caused by lightning was resolved relatively easily when we informed him.

No complaints!

The houses are beautiful built, Cristiano has an eye for details and will ensure you feel at home! This house was built with care, and you can tell, from the heated towel racks, to laundry on site and the barbecue, it makes your stay supper cozy. The location is breathtaking, and by night it’s supper relaxing to hear the waves from the beach. 10000/10 we recommend staying at Casas da Faja, and are eager to come back! Obrigada

It is a wonderful place to explore the island. The host is really friendly and gave us a warm welcome with nice recommendations to enrich our relaxing stay here.

The host picked us up late at night, drive us to the place and gave us full and detailed instruction on the house. It had everything we needed and even more, very good internet, beautiful view, comfortable beds, kitchen with everything you need to cook. Everything was clean and tidy. We did BBQ around 3 times as it is really comfortable to do it there and in very nice garden. We would definitely recommend this place and stay even longer.

We stayed in the smaller of the two homes. The pictures in the listing don't do it justice. The house is very lovely and the outdoor, covered eating area is truly wonderful (and has a charcoal grill for the capable chef). Christiano has done a wonderful job setting these rentals up and was very friendly with lots of local tips. We thoroughly enjoyed walking to the beach and then eating dinner at the local pizzeria, which had really good pizza! This place is highly recommended.

Cristiano, is the kindest host we ever met. Cristiano prepared the house with a lot of treats like biscuits and coffee. We also had the pleasure to taste his wife tomato jam, that was delicious. The house is in a very quiet zone of the island, and when there are no clouds the view is crazy beautiful. Faja beach is at only 5 minutes walking. Every suggestion made by Cristiano turned out perfect. the house is clean, everything is working, very well equipped kitchen. Air conditioning is very good and also the wifi works perfectly. We had a perfect stay, strongly suggested place to stay. We hope to come again. thank you so much Cristiano!

A fantastic house in a calm, relaxing place, overlooking the cliff and sea. The house is big and very comfortable and Cristiano is a perfect host with a lot of useful information and tips. We loved every moment of our stay in the house and would be happy to come again.

Everything. Host was very helpfull with all the sights of the island and also with waiting for us at the house and showing us around. The place is like from a fairytail, beautiful inside and out. It is super clean and extremely well equiped.

Unser Aufenthalt war spitze. Cristiano und seine Frau sind wunderbare Gastgeber. Das inkludierte kontinentale Frühstück wartet bereits im Kühlschrank in Form von meist regionalen Produkten und einer selbst gemachten Marmelade von seiner Frau. Das Haus ist sauber und gemütlich. Wir hatten den gesamten Garten für uns, da das Nachbarhaus zu der Zeit nicht vermietet war. Alles mit Liebe zum Detail arrangiert. Cristiano achtet bei den Casas da Faja auch auf Nachhaltigkeit. Wir waren während des Hurricans Lorenzo auf Faial. Cristiano hat sich überaus sorgsam um uns gekümmert und wir sind für eine Nacht sogar in ein anderes Haus umgezogen. Es wäre nicht nötig gewesen. Da jedoch keiner einschätzen konnte wie stark der Sturm auftrifft, war es uns sicherer für eine Nacht ein paar mehr Nachbarn um uns zu haben. Die restliche Zeit haben wir die Ruhe im Tal genossen. Nach Horta benötigt es ca 30min mit dem Auto. Zum nächsten Restaurant mit integriertem Minimarkt braucht man 5min mit dem Auto. Es liegt direkt in Praia do Norte (den Hügel hinauf). Des Weiteren steht einem eine Waschmaschine und Trockner, ein BBQ, Strandtücher, ein Geschirrspüler und MEO Tv zur Verfügung. Obrigada Sr. Cristiano. Adoramos a nossa estadia. Voltaremos sempre.
