The building is beautiful, and the room was also very nice, spacious, and comfortable. Breakfast was good, and there was also a small pool area which, although not very large, was perfectly fine for relaxing.

The kitchen was not very well equipped, so if you are booking the apartment specifically because you plan to cook during your stay, this is something to keep in mind.

Außergewöhnlich freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Wunderbar eingerichtetes Haus, tolles Frühstück. Man hatte nie das Gefühl, einfach nur Hotelgast zu sein, sondern fühlte sich einfach nur wohl und gut aufgehoben.

The accommodation was fantastic, but together with the staff it became excellent. The breakfast was superb, a nice buffet but also possibility to choose additional breakfast from the menu which was included. The wine tasting with sommelier and expert Lino was something we will not forget soon. Thanks for giving us such a nice stay.

In primis la struttura è bellissima,ben curata nei dettagli,lo staff eccellente,pronto ad ogni richiesta,la colazione veramente all’altezza di un 5 stelle,io che giro in strutture del genere questa del Relais Montepepe è veramente un punto di riferimento per Montignoso,e le zone limitrofe!!!! Scegliete questa struttura è. perfetta e non vi deluderà!!!…. In ultimo , ma assolutamente non meno importante, la gentilezza e disponibilità di Brigitte ( mi scuso se non ho scritto correttamente il suo nome ) é il valore aggiunto al tutto ! Consigliatissimo !

Das Frühstück war unser Highlight. Tolle Qualität, alles frisch zubereitet und wunderbare Auswahl. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Die exklusive individuelle Weinprobe war ein tolles Erlebnis. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Das Anwesen sehr schön und gepflegt. Das Frühstück mit viel Auswahl und sehr gut. Wir hatten ein privates Plätzchen mit Liegestühlen und Sonnenschirm. Service war auch sehr gut. Im Zimmer eine kleine Küche und Kühlschrank. In der Nähe genug Restaurants zum Essen

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt und können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die außergewöhnliche Freundlichkeit des gesamten Personals. Alle Mitarbeiter waren jederzeit sehr aufmerksam, herzlich und zuvorkommend und haben sich stets große Mühe gegeben, den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Auch die Kommunikation war hervorragend – Deutsch, Englisch und natürlich Italienisch wurden problemlos gesprochen. Außerdem beeindruckt hat uns der wunderschöne, authentische Weinkeller mit seinem historischen Naturstein-Ambiente und der Auswahl an teilweise sehr alten Weinen, die eine Verkostung zu einem ganz besonderen und spannenden Erlebnis machen. Die Anlage selbst ist wunderschön gestaltet und vermittelt sofort eine romantische Atmosphäre mit echten Toskana-Vibes. Alles wirkt sehr gepflegt, einladend und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Unser Zimmer war groß, sehr sauber und komfortabel. Das Bett war äußerst gemütlich, die Klimaanlage funktionierte einwandfrei und wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an wohlgefühlt. Ein absolutes Highlight war das Frühstück. Es war jeden Morgen eine Freude, zum Frühstück zu gehen. Die Auswahl ist herausragend, qualitativ hochwertig und bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Hier merkt man, wie viel Wert auf Qualität und Gastfreundschaft gelegt wird. Auch der Poolbereich hat uns sehr gefallen. Das Wasser hatte eine angenehme Temperatur, die Atmosphäre war ruhig und entspannt und man kann dort wunderbar abschalten und die Seele baumeln lassen. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für die tolle Zeit. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen bei unserem nächsten Besuch in der Region sehr gerne wieder! 😊

La struttura é di classe, romantica e perfetta per il relax di coppia ma ha anche camere doppie e molto grandi per famiglie. Purtroppo la maleducazione delle persone che lasciano urlare i bambini negli spazi comuni compresa la piscina e che permette loro di fare tuffi a "bomba" bagnando gli altri ospiti ha rovinato l'atmosfera. Il relais dovrebbe essere più attento al controllo di queste problematiche.

Het is een heerlijke, rustgevende plek met een luxe uitstraling. We hadden de deluxe tweepersoonskamer met uitzicht op zee, wat een hele mooie ruime kamer is. Met name het ontbijt buiten in de tuin is een heerlijk begin van de dag. Het ontbijt is van erg goede kwaliteit, deels buffet en deels a la cart. Deze krijg je alles lekker vers en op basis van jou wensen geserveerd. Je kunt er ook een wijnproeverij doen en de wijnen proeven en kopen die daar worden geproduceerd.

The hotel was really lovely, with everything clean and well-kept. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Breakfast was fresh and tasty each morning, with a good mix of options to choose from. The atmosphere was calm and quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. I’d noticed some reviews mentioning road noise, but even though our room was at the front of the hotel, it wasn’t an issue for us at all.

We stayed in mid-September and found the area to be very quiet, assuming that it must be out of season now. The hotel only serves breakfast, so there aren’t any food options onsite during the day or evening, and quite a few local restaurants seemed to be closed, even on a Saturday night. We wanted to go out via a taxi one evening, but had difficulty arranging one, so without a car, it would be very difficult to get around. The hotel itself was lovely, but the surrounding area and available facilities didn’t quite match what we had in mind. The spa was peaceful and relaxing, with a hot tub and steam room, but we had thought there might be massage treatments or a wider range of options. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but the lack of facilities would put us off returning.

The location was perfect. The room was spotlessly clean, the breakfast was excellent and really well presented. Everything was very clean and the waitresses looked after us very attentively.

The reason I didn’t 10, was the fact there was no restaurant or evening meal of any kind. Without transport you couldn’t get to Massa. The two local restaurant's in walking distance of which one was closed and the other opened at 19:30. There was a good local supermarket, but you needed to have a room with cooking facilities.

We had a great stay, was a little hesitant on arrival as we were driving away from the beach (as expected) and through what would be considered more industrial surroundings. Once past we arrived at the blissful Montepepe. A very peaceful boutique wine farm. Not sure how many can stay at hotel but at any given time there were about 4 or 5 tables at breakfast. The pool is great and relatively quiet as most go out for the day. Rooms were great, good aircon, lovely high ceilings. Didn't try the wine. We drove down to the beach and didn't have any issues with parking which made life easy. Like all good hotels one shouldn't need to deal with the hotel much which we didn't, the staff were very friendly and helpful at breakfast. Would certainly recommend.

From the moment we arrived, there was no warm welcome. No explanation about the facilities, the room, or the surroundings—let alone any interest in whether we had a pleasant journey. We chose this accommodation based on its appealing online presentation. Don’t be fooled. It’s misleading. The images do not reflect reality. The place feels abandoned, with hardly any other guests. There are no restaurants, no bar, not even an honesty bar where you can help yourself with drinks. The only option is to request a glass of wine from the staff. Additionally, access to the spa costs €50 per person—for a very outdated spa and gym. The rooms are uncomfortable and extremely illogically designed. We bumped into things several times. You have to shower in a bathtub that slopes downwards, which is very dangerous and slippery. Adjusting the water temperature is a complete mystery. The breakfast staff is friendly and does their best, but the quality is lacking. The orange juice comes from a carton, and a fresh juice costs €5—something only mentioned in small print on the back of the menu. There is a wine estate, but you don’t get to experience any of it. Tastings are only offered on Wednesdays or Fridays, and no further information is shared—also no welcome bottle of wine in the room. It’s not about getting something for free; it’s about the overall experience. At check-out, the staff didn’t asked whether we had enjoyed our stay or wished us a pleasant onward journey. In short: think twice before staying here. Nothing is what it seems.

The building is beautiful with spacious lounge exterior spaces. Rooms are beautifully decorated, tall ceilings, with very comfortable and large beds. The spa area is small but very comfortable, providing the perfect space for relaxation. The staff is very polite and will go the extra mile to make your stay special.

Please, announce on booking that in order to use the spa amenities or have a massage, people must book one day in advance.

Very nice place overlooking the Massa. Authentic, well designed, our Marble Suite was full of marble slabs as you would expect. Outdoor swimming pool is lovely, however I'm not sure it had heated water as promised to guests in October. Amazing breakfast, many thanks for my eggs and porridge!

Access is a bit awkward, but once you have found a gate and an entry phone, you are good. Plenty of convenient parking, though. Perhaps intentionally secluded? Spa services need to be booked 2 DAYS in advance, so it's not a place for spontaneous trip. Ours visit was, so we have not seen the spa premises at all.

No restaurant, but plenty of lovely restaurants nearby. They were very helpful at making suggestions and booking tables for us.

Lovely estate with a very private feeling, renovated with a great taste. Beautiful pool, stunning view and so much green around. If the weather was nicer sitting in the garden in one of the lovely lounge areas, sipping a glass of wine would be amazing! Next time.

Very easy to hear the neighbours, even just coughing and blowing the nose. There were not many parking spots available for big-sized cars but the staff always found a solution. The kids playground deserves a clean up and a little maintenance.

Place is very nice and quiet. Room was very nice and clean. Weather was not good at the time of our visit so we could not enjoy in the beautiful garden and swimming pool but in general we were very positive about our visit in your hotel.

The location of the hotel is beautiful. I had a lovely view from my window. The suite was huge, clean, nicely decorated and I appreciated the delicious complimentary cookies. But the best part of the experience were the staff, who were so kind and accommodating. I arrived quite late in the evening but it was not an issue. Recommend with no reservations!

Everything about the property was great! We had a great view, the facilities were great, we had everything we needed in our room and the breakfast was delicious!

There is no restaurant at the property, so you are needing to find your own dinner (not a massive issue but in a Saturday night, the town is busy)

The breakfast was superb. The pool was nice and we had a very nice view. The room was comfortable, bed big and bathroom really good with a bathtub.

The description of the facilties was far from reality. We chose this hotel specifically for the mini golf and horse back riding that was included in the description. None of those options exists in the proximity of the hotel. Good to note that it is quite deserrted location. Far from the towns and the sea so the car is a must.

Hospitality on one of the highest level I've ever seen. Friendly and helpfull staff can arrange you almost everythin like booking a table or suntent on the beach during high season :) truly recommend!

Comfy beds, clean and nice room, always smellt amazing! Beautiful building and original ceiling beams etc throughout and within the rooms. Parking on site. Received a list of restaurants around the area with help of any booking needs etc. Helpful staff. Nice views.

Lots of mosquitoes. Had to buy mosquito spray. Would be good to have some mozzie coils going when having the evening drinks on the verandah. Pool was "heated" but still a bit cool. Property is closer to "civilisation" and roads than made out in the photos.

I booked directly at the hotel website. The only available option was “Alberico vista mare”. There was no extra information about the room type in the booking area, so I checked the website of the hotel for info. This made me believe I booked a suite; with a terrace and kitchenette. When we checked in and were given the room key, it became clear that we only had one double room with sea view, but no terrace or kitchenette. The woman at the reception told us that I should have known it was only a double room from looking at the pictures. This is not true, because with the Alberico vista mare you also see a picture from another room (the one with the kitchenette). Apparently they divided the Alberico suite into three different rooms (Vista mare, Giardino and Mountain View), but this is not clear from the website or during the booking process. In my opinion this is something that should have been made clear in written text, not by looking at the provided pictures. The price we paid would have been fine if we were given the whole suite, but it was overpriced for just one room. We complained about the disappointment and not clear website. At first the lady at the reception was not very eager to meet our feelings. She told us to think about our options, but we actually didn’t really have any options as the hotel was fully booked. The next day there was another lady at the reception and she made us feel the same way at first, but in the end promised us she would talk to the manager and see if she could work something out. The next day we didn’t see her, but the day after that we went to the reception again. She was there and told us she managed to give us a discount of about 10% and a free bottle of wine because of the inconvenience. So the first days we felt quite bummed about the whole thing, but in the end we were feeling a little bit better because the discount made us feel like they did acknowledged our complaints. Maybe we are a bit biased by the whole experience as mentioned above, but we feel we’ve stayed in better or more luxurious hotels than this one for the same amount of money. The double bed was actually two separate mattresses with sheets for a double bed. The mattresses were quite soft, we like them firmer. We had expected the lay out of the hotel grounds to be a bit more extensive. So you would have more privacy, but it was rather close. Also from our bathroom and bedroom we had two windows that looked out over the courtyard. This is where you can have breakfast in the morning. So when you take a shower in the morning you have to close the blinds for privacy. Because the blinds are made of wood, this makes the bed and bathroom quite dark and you have to put on a light. The room has no fabric curtains just these wooden blinds. The sunlight peaks through the cracks in the morning, so we woke up quite early. This didn’t give us a really rested feeling of being on holiday. We also spent a couple days near the pool. It is a nice sized pool with fine bedding. The bedding does get very hot in the sun, but the hotel provides towels. They play music all day at the courtyard and near the pool. I think this is maybe an attempt to disguise the sounds of the road near the hotel. The hotel is near SS1, which is a busy and noisy road. The views from the hotel are okay, but you can only see a glimpse of the sea; the rest is just trees and houses. The hotel has no restaurant, but in several minutes driving there are multiple options for fine dining. Breakfast is really nice and has a wide variety of options. Also the waiter is really kind. Parking is between olive trees and this offered shade.

I really loved this place! The owner is a professional architect and this is reflected in the ambiance and design of this little gem. Several small lounge areas also allow to chill for yourself if you prefer to do so and look and feel of the furniture and the layout of the whole place show love for detail and the intention to make the guest feel at home. Service and food at breakfast was extremely courteous and friendly. The room was cleaned thoroughly. The only small objection/suggestion I can make is that it would be nice to have a fresh bottle of water not only upon arrival, but daily..would fit the rest of the experience. Same goes for coffee capsules🤣. But this is really a minor thing. I would/will definitely come back and am already looking forward to it!

The hotel itself and grounds are exceptional. Rooms with sea view are definitely worth it as the views of area are truly beautiful. Breakfast service & the staff serving it are top notch. And that's where the nice things end. One thing no one mentions is the road. A very busy road, motorway alternative, that's next to the property gate and maybe 200m from the hotel itself. This means that wherever you are trying to "relax" outside you hear cars. Breakfast on the terrace, sitting by the pool, having a coffee on the outside sofas - think of all the idyllic pictures of the hotel and add a background noise of a car passing close b every second. All. Day. Long. Beds - very comfy, but building a king size bed from two singles is acceptable at a cheap airport hotel, not when you're aspiring to a luxury offering. Also poliester bed sheets guarantee you're going to drown in sweat the moment you turn the AC down. Again, not very luxurious. The worst bit, unfortunately, is the service. The staff are polite and try to be helpful, but seem to get completely lost when there's more than a handful of guests. We ordered 2 bottles of wine to have by the pool. We picked them and literally saw them with our own eyes. 20 minutes later we got a wine cooler and glasses, alas no wine just yet. Another 10mins and one bottle appears. Another 10 and we mount a search and rescue mission which, after some serious confusion, finds the missing bottle left forgotten in the kitchen... Over 40mins to get 2 bottles of wine is an achievement. To be fair, the forgotten one was free in the end, but not before being asked several times if we were sure it wasn't delivered before... Finally, when a group of guests chain smoking cigarettes & cigars covered the pool area in a thick cloud of smoke we asked the staff if they could politely remind that group of the pool etiquette. In response we got asked jokingly if they could bring us an ashtray too. Not sure if the staff person was too afraid to speak to the other group, had a language problem, or simply didn't care for our request. Truly puzzling. Very sad that within the first few hours from arrival you promise yourself you're going to spend the next day away from the hotel. Apparently there are very good reasons why this is only 3 stars. Beautiful place, but the noise and chaos make it entirely not worth the price being asked.

Place is amazing, luxurious and has a view which is impossible to describe, you just have to see by yourself, you can see the sea and it's also near by the luxurious city of Forte dei Marmi. All the suites are spacious and really clean and the outside pool is heated, just perfect! You can enjoy of their own wine tasting events which I found superb! Service is flawless and sincere, client will be satisfied 100% maybe more.. Coming back for sure! Thank you to all of you, you just simply made my weekend!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing week's holiday at Relais Montepepe. It's a beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is no restaurant but they provide a delicious breakfast and also a simple lunch of salads or sandwiches on request. There is an excellent local restaurant, Il Cascinale, which is a 5-minute walk away across the fairly busy road (it's very popular so you'll need a reservation). We used the spa and did the wine tasting with the owner, Alberto. The nearest towns are Massa and Forte dei Marmi. Taxis to both cost us 30 euros each way. We loved Marina di Massa for an aperitif overlooking the sea and great seafood at La Lisca restaurant.

Sehr freundliches, entspanntes und unaufgeregtes Personal Einzig die Lautstärke der nahegelegenen Landstraße ist ein wenig störend.

Fantastisk sted for å slappe av. Det er ikke mye rundt i området, men selve stedet har det du trenger for frokost og lunsj. Rommet vårt, junior suite med tekjøkken hadde veldig mye innsyn, så unngå om mulig. De andre rommene er nok bedre. Frokosten var veldig god og hyggelig personale!

Great hotel/ winery!!! We end up staying few extra nights . staff are great!!!! property is incredible and beautifully, rooms are spacious and clean!!! Pool is nice and warm!!! We feel pampered for those days!!! Breakfast and appetizers are high quality!!! And Wine is delicious!!!! Absolutely MUST to STAY!!! We cannot wait to come back!!! Absolute must!!!!
