Quick and efficient checkin even though we arrived late.

Bulb in the ceiling light fixture was burned out so it was dark in the room. It didn’t really bother us as we arrived late and we’re going to bed.

Dans la description, il est indiqué « vue sur la ville », alors que nous avions plutôt une vue sur une maison qui semblait abandonnée. L’entrée pour effectuer l’enregistrement en soirée est très mal organisée. Tout était fermé et rien n’indiquait qu’il fallait sonner pour pouvoir entrer. Nous ne pouvions pas entrer et sortir librement, puisque nous devions sonner chaque fois, ce qui nous donnait l’impression de déranger le personnel. Notre chambre était située au sous-sol. Nous entendions les gens marcher très fort à l’étage ainsi que de la musique jusqu’à 1 h 45 du matin, ce qui a nui à notre sommeil. Finalement, nous sommes arrivés avec 15 minutes de retard. Dans le message reçu par la messagerie, il était indiqué que des frais de 15 $ plus taxes s’appliqueraient. Cependant, une fois sur place, les frais étaient passés à 30 $, sans explication. The listing advertised a “city view,” but our room overlooked what appeared to be an abandoned house. Finding the entrance for check-in in the evening was very confusing. Everything was closed, and there were no signs indicating that we had to ring the bell to get inside. We couldn’t come and go freely because we had to ring the bell every time we wanted to enter, which made us feel like we were disturbing the staff. Our room was located in the basement. We could clearly hear people walking heavily upstairs, and there was loud music until 1:45 a.m., making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Finally, we arrived 15 minutes late. In the message we received, it stated that the late check-in fee would be $15 plus tax. However, when we arrived, we were charged $30 instead, with no explanation.

Didn't realize the restaurant was closed Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesday until 1am.

This motel serves an area that is short on accommodation, so it is very much appreciated! The staff is always friendly, quick to respond and helpful. The price is reasonable as well.

The bar and restaurant are in the process of being renovated, but we did not see any indication of that when booking. Our rooms have always been clean, but the building itself needs some TLC. Hopefully, with lots of loyal customers, the business will be able to renovate and stay in business for many years to come.

Heating unit was VERY loud with a bad bearing. Screetching sound when heater went on made it very difficult to sleep. Mattress quality was not very good, and we were given twin beds when we booked queen. Stuff happens and I'm not a picky traveller, but the heater really should not have been in service given the noise levels.

The exceptional staff made this experience pleasant. It really exceeded my expectations for such a remote location.

The price I paid was outrageous, it was a $100 tops, I paid $185 on a night the hotel was empty.

Lisa was a wonderful host this week during my stay at the Lakeside Inn. Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable of the area. My room was renovated and had all the essentials after a long day of work. I had a wonderful home cooked meal at the restaurant and really enjoyed seeing the friendly cats outside and great conversations on the patio! 5 stars for Lisa and her team, they make the motel a home away from home!

Clean simple accommodations, well-furnished. The fan on the Heater/AC unit is quite noisy when running but you have full control over the unit

Absolutely loved staying here with my kids and toddler. Great staff, great restaurant, great rooms and amenities. We've already booked a follow up visit for next year!

My friend and I were staying in Cloyne so we could go kayaking in the area. The Inn may look a little dated but the rooms are very clean and appear to be updated. The hotel was very quiet and the beds very comfortable. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful.

Didn’t like that the restaurant only opened at 9 and they don’t freshen up the rooms everyday and we had to ask for new towels but otherwise rooms were good

This is very close to Bon Echo Provincial Park and that is why I chose it. I stayed one night so I could get an early start in the park. There is a gas station and convivence store opposite the property. Parking lot does need to be repaved, that is an upgrade the property should undertake. It is a rural area so keep that in mind. It has a coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Their restaurant is only open on certain days, and that is true of the entire area. I brought my own food and made it in the room. Otherwise I would have had to travel far for food that was available. So just keep that in mind when planning. It was a good nights sleep.

very friendly staff, impeccably clean room. We only stayed for a night during a stop off, but they were great.

Overall it was a nice and quiet stay. The room was clean and fresh when we arrived and the lakeside restaurant closed at 9pm so we were able to have a nice dinner.

Restaurant has very limited hours. No breakfast available until 11 am Wed and 1030 Thursday so I ended up going elsewhere to eat. Modern upgrades, clean and comfy beds. Great sleep for one night on my work travel.

Just minutes from Bon Echo. The rooms are clean and bathroom works fine. Bed mattresses are tired and lumpy.

Great place to stay to go and visit surrounding areas! Beds weren’t the most comfortable but after a long day at Bon Echo it didn’t matter. The lady working was very kind and helpful!

Breakfast was 'included' but didn't open until 1000 on the one day we needed it. Bar and restaurant were also closed the night we stayed. Booked for 4 people but only 2 towels. Couldn't find any staff to get extra.

Nice and quiet. Recent renovation. Considering the location, it was good. Restaurant and bar were rarely open. Had to search for staff. There was no service to have room made up/towels changed/coffee replenished.

The beds were ok, and the shower was clean. I was very disgusted with the dirty spotted floors. I thought maybe the dark spots on the floor were hard to remove tar or stains. I took a cloth with jyst water and was able to remove a spot. Its lack if effort to get down and scrub. Same in the halways.

10 minutes away from Bon Echo Provincial Park. The Inn has been renovated recently, mist noticeable is the washroom. We wouldn't mind staying here again next time in the same area. Please note that the restaurant does not open on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Our room was clean but the A/C was quite noisy. The restaurant had a limited menu (compared to their website) and it closes at 7:00pm on Sunday evening. No breakfast available on Mon and Tue. Staff are very nice people.

Staff seemed overworked and understaffed at the time of our visit. Overall the room was clean and updated.

Must be new owners. Has improved tremendously. Rooms have been redone and very clean. New toilets and sink. Parking at front should be repaved. Back of building is very dark if you need to park there.

Do not stay here. You are better off pitching a tent and sleeping on the ground at the provincial park. We booked two nights but barely made it through the first night and left a day early.

Clean rooms but too pricey for amenities

Half hour early checking in and was spoken to somewhat rudely about 4 pm check-in which is already a late time considering checkout is 11 am. 6 hour diff is worst I've ever experienced especially at that cost.

This is a good budget option only about 10 minutes from the entrance to Bon Echo Provincial Park. The rooms are comfortable and a decent size. Be aware the hotel restaurant is not open every day, and that the nearest other restaurant is a 15 minute drive; the gas station across the street has some basics but not a ton. I suggest bringing your own breakfast supplies.

IT is wonderful to have a Restaurant.

The Staff & food excellent.. our room was on the bottom floor & it smelled alittle musty…I wouldn’t agree that it’s a premium room as advertised…They need more kitchen staff.. one person was serving… preparing food & cashing people out at breakfast

Stayed for a fundraiser. The room was disgusting and dated. The furniture looked like it came from the side of the road. The bathroom was not cleaned properly and tub was full of rust. The licking systems for the rooms is sketchy and we were licked out many times. The staff that was running the bar ripped people off for their change when purchasing a drink. The restaurant is a entire other story. Cook was smoking didn't wash hands before going to the kitchen. Thw food was horrendous.. bavon vheese omelets were a paper thin egg spead out with a kraft cheese slice tucked inside. No bacon but charged for it.. absolutely disgusting wish I took picks. Avoid all restaurants in this area unless you want to get sick.

This trip was for business. I found this to be the closest motel to the provincial park and figured it would be more comfortable than camping. The staff were lovely. Friendly and attentive. The food in the restaurant was very good. The beds were old and not very comfortable. Extremely loud springs and lumpy mattress made for a less than restful sleep. Noise really carries, if you are unlucky enough to have loud guests nearby. The room and bathroom were clean but appeared rundown and obviously in need of repair.

Room was okay. Beds were comfortable. Didn't make beds or provide fresh towels, etc during our 2 night stay.

Enjoyed our stay

Room was very clean, modern, great linens. The hotel cat is adorable. Hotel staff are great. They let me charge my EV on the post out front. Other guests were very friendly work crew. Brand new fridge and microwave in room.

The hall way was gross. Someone’s underwear was on the stairs most of the time we were there. The mattresses were shot and need to be replaced many years ago. Restaurant never seemed to be open not that it mattered to us.

We stay one night, the room was clean,good beds and we went to the restaurant for dinner.No complaints at all.

We did not have breakfast there. they are under renovations and repairs so there were some problems with the bathroom, hot water etc. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The building and rooms were clean.

I think we have to wait for renovations to be complete before answering any more questions.

Nice stay in a great nature area.

It was convenient enough but the staff didn’t have enough help to assist the guests. One manager was serving customers in restaurant and also responsible for checking people in. She was run off her feet so to speak. One bed had a bad odour so the other was used. Old dirty towels were hanging on bathroom door. Rooms look nice enough in pictures but are just ok.

It was a candid place to stay in a quiet location. Receptionist is very friendly and helpful. Property itself is a bit old but still checks all the boxes. I can recommend it to anyone. I went with my wife and 5 year old kid and they loved it too.
