Tenuta Chatham Bay

From first step everything was perfect - the shuttle, welcoming coconut water and warm staff. The restaurant is incredible, mixed local and international cuisine with Italian twist. I loved octopus most. The room is modern and beautifully decorated all details are on point. Sea in front is crystal clear and white sand beach spotless but what’s best about it - you have it for yourself! It’s definitely a destination for switch off and most vintage Caribbean location.

Absolutely loved everything! Luxury comfortable boutique hotel in the middle of the Caribbean, with the best waters Ive ever seen in my life. Private beach and top accommodation with thoughtful decor. Food and drinks like in a Michelin star restaurant. Highly recommended!

The property was beautiful, clean and private. The best hospitality we have experienced anywhere in the Caribbean islands and the food was incredible.

The location was beautiful. The shoreline and the sunsets were breathtaking! The Mediterranean decor was a lovely touch. The staff particularly Tamika and StacyAnn were delightful. They always had a warm greeting and smile. PJ brought our bags from the dock to reception and to our rooms. The waitress was pleasant as well but the language barrier made communication difficult. I liked that beach towels were provided. The staff replaced the bottled water. They made the bed, washed the cups and spoon and cleaned the shower. There was a flower placed in the bathroom on the first day.

The first night was very unpleasant. The roof leaked right over the bed and while our rooms were changed there was no apology for our discomfort. Instead the owner's main concern was the difficulty of fixing the problem rather than our distress sleeping on the floor on our anniversary! The food wasn't local cuisine. The choices were limited and the same every day. The pancakes were rubbery. The food lacked flavor. It is an offense to call the chicken breast "jerk chicken". The welcome drink was syrup and water with sorrel flakes rather than an actual sorrel beverage. The portions were very small and quoted in USD. The plates were all chipped. Everyday I pointed it out and they still presented broken dinnerware to us. I wouldn't even feed my dog in a chipped China. There were no vending machines or snacks provided in the room and no nearby supermarket or boutique so whatever you ate for breakfast lunch or dinner was it! The playlist was ok the first day but it was maddening listening to the same song for 4 days! The ac was awkwardly placed behind the bed so the cool air was at the back of the room. The towels were so hard against my skin. I guess they don't use softener. They didn't change the towels even though they were soiled, not just used. I tried not to complain because I give grace understanding they are recovering from a hurricane, rebuilding and awaiting supplies. The wifi is unreliable. The transportation is limited. The road to city is unpaved and taxis don't make it down to the resort which means if you don't take a boat or walk you are stuck!

As a solo traveller, Tenuta Chatham Bay Resort was exactly the peaceful escape I needed. I only stayed one night, but it was enough to completely fall in love with the place. The location is breathtaking — quiet, remote, and surrounded by nature, with one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve seen in the Caribbean. The room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully designed, with incredible ocean views and the relaxing sound of the waves all night. I also felt very welcomed by the staff, who were warm, attentive, and made the stay feel personal without ever being intrusive. Dinner and cocktails by the pool were excellent, and the whole atmosphere of the resort felt calm, exclusive, and relaxing. Even travelling alone, I felt completely comfortable and at home here. I truly wish I had booked more than one night.

Dreamy gorgeous view feels like you’re living in the dream. Private bungalow on the beach. Excellent service excellent personal service just wonderful.

Tenuta Chatham Bay to absolutnie wyjątkowe miejsce. Położenie w jednej z najpiękniejszych zatok, krystalicznie czysta woda i prywatna, spokojna plaża tworzą niesamowity klimat. Pokoje są piękne, nowe i bardzo komfortowe, a całe miejsce emanuje spokojem i luksusem w zgodzie z naturą. Obsługa była niezwykle serdeczna, pomocna i profesjonalna – od pierwszej chwili czuliśmy się mile widziani. Jedzenie i koktajle na najwyższym poziomie. Hotelowa łódka zdecydowanie była warta swojej ceny – wszystko zorganizowane perfekcyjnie, bardzo komfortowo i bezpiecznie. Rejs na Tobago Cays był prawdziwą perełką pobytu i jednym z najpiękniejszych doświadczeń całej podróży. Idealne miejsce na prawdziwy odpoczynek. Zdecydowanie 5 gwiazdek – nie możemy się doczekać powrotu.

Lovely tranquil location, with great views across Chatham Bay. Lovely room design with high quality furnishings. Lovely bar and pool area with jacuzzi. Great quality food and drink options. Use of great quality hotel boat for transfers and excursions at additional cost. Very friendly owner, manager and staff who were very helpful during our stay.

Some noise from on going construction work, but this was done at reasonable hours and didn't disturb our stay much. Towel hooks fell off during our stay.

Never got to stay there because it was destroyed by the hurricane.

I’m sure it would have been great however, it was destroyed by hurricane Beryl. We were contacted through booking.com and were told that we have a voucher to be used within two years starting this November. They did not offer our money back when we requested it. We feel that this is not right in this instance, since the place was destroyed. We came here by sailboat, which we will not be able to do again, so, the voucher is basically useless to us. We should get our money back.. Whoever’s policy this is, whether it be booking.com or the owner it is wrong in this instance. There are special circumstances in this case which should negate the no refund policy. it’s not like we did something wrong, like missing a flight, not arriving on time and asking for money back. They did not provide the service that was offered, therefore we should get our money back.

We liked the intimate atmosphere of only 4 cottages. We also enjoyed using the boats and snorkeling equipment!

Couch covers and cushions in the bar area could be cleaned more often.

This was our first time visiting Union Island and we had the best experience at Tenuta. All the staff made us feel instantly at home and went out of their way to make the 6 days relaxing, fun, easy and personalised. The villas are stunning and all aspects of the hospitality felt special. A huge thanks to Iwona for everything, Mark and the bar team, Lesia and the chefs for the best vegetarian food we had in St Vincent, and last but not least Pants for the warm welcome and being an all round icon. We can’t wait to return soon!

What an amazing place, completely secluded, great food (especially considering its location) and really accommodating to changing needs. We had to check in a day early due to a last minute change of plan, and they did everything they could to help!

Fantastic location and very comfortable. The resort is totally self sufficient with its own generators and water system. The restaurant is also very good.

We weren’t expecting any toys but the Paddle Boards could be better quality.

Surprised to the upside at the overall experience of our stay. You are in a quiet, secluded location with only 5 bungalows that’s charming and beautiful. Iwona, Mark and all the friendly staff did great at making our stay comfortable. The photos don’t do it justice. Highly recommend!

The food in the restaraunt was excellent. The views from the open air dining room were amazing. The best snorkling that I expereinced was right in front of the resort. This is an amazing place with amazing people.

This was the most beautiful & relaxing place to stay. We had the beachfront room which was stunning. The room was always immaculately cleaned, and chef really knows how to cook fish!

We stayed for about 10 nights and found the menu a little repetitive for that length of time although it probably wasn't helped by it being right at the start of the season

Iwona, Antonio, Akia and the rest of the groundskeeping, kitchen & housekeeping staff gave continuous 5 star service throughout our stay. We felt so well looked after and our time in Tenuta was unforgettably special. The secluded location was incredible, the infinity pool, snorkeling, paddle boarding & kayaking was super fun, the food was some of the best we ever had in the Grenadines and the rooms & views were spectacular. We were sad to leave and cannot wait to return. Thank-you so much to all the staff for making our holiday so memorable!

- unbedingt das All-inclusive-Paket buchen und einfach nur genießen (Cocktails, Lunch, und ect.) - ganz tolle Kommunikation mit dem Resort, die alles organisieren (Bootstranser, Ausflüge, etc.) - Iwona, Hotelmanagerin, macht Ihren Job perfekt: sehr emphatisch betreut Sie die Gäste - Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet und wer genug von karibischen Fisch und Huhn hat, kann auch mal eine Pizza aus dem Steinofen essen - tolle Bungalows, die sehr stilvoll eingerichtet sind - sehr sauberer Strand direkt vor der Tür. Man kann Schnorcheln oder sich Bodyboard, Kajak direkt vom Resort leihen - sehr ursprüngliche Anlage mit dem ein oder anderen Tiererlebnis (z.B. Felsenleguane) - sehr ruhig und gemütlich, von jetzt auf gleich ist jeglicher Stress einfach weg ;-)

- Für uns kein negativer Punkt, aber man muss wissen, dass das kein Luxusresort im klassischen Sinne ist, sondern ein Ort für Individualisten auf höchstem Niveau

Velmi se nám líbila lokalita, která byla soukromá, odlehlá, bez ruchu a davů lidí. Jídlo bylo též vynikající, každý pokrm byl výborně vychucený a obsluha se o nás starala velmi dobře. Na výběr bylo vždy několik jídel a pití, vždy s možností přizpůsobení dle preferencí hosta. Rychlost servisu byla vzhledem k malému obsazení rezortu nadprůměrná a vítaná. Pokoje (vilky) jsou nádherně vybavené, moderní a s přímým výhledem na pláž a moře. Ocenili jsme, že nám manažeři rezortu pomohli, kdykoliv jsme potřebovali, a že se náš pobyt snažili vyšperkovat na míru naší situaci a požadavkům. Doporučuji se s nimi zkontaktovat jak při příjezdu, tak odjezdu z ubytování, ušetříte si zbytečné hodiny na cestách.

Dostupnost do hotelu, která je daní za skvělou lokalitu. Občas zcela netekoucí voda a nedostatek teplé vody pro sprchování se - slaný je i bazén.

It was absolutely wonderful to stay here. Everything was excellent and unique: just a few villas on an unspoiled beach, the interior of the villas, the quietness and privateness of the location. The cocktails and food were the best we have had in the Grenadines and the staff was extremely friendly, professional and helpfull. We were so happy here that we extended our stay with several days.

Everything! We were extremely well looked after and the setting in the bay is relaxed and private-feeling. The snorkelling was great even close to the beach and we enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding in the bay. Our room was thoughtfully luxurious. The staff put on a special dinner of fresh lobster for us to celebrate our engagement, which was a lovely touch. We extended our stay!

Great breakfast with a fantastic view. The beds have fantastic matresses, pillows and high quality bedlinnen, we slept like babies. The view from our bungalow was amazing. We spent a lot of time just sitting there and staring at the view. The staff is very professional and provides the exact amount of service and privacy. The pool was very clean and we mostly enjoyed it by ourselves. The gardens and surroundings are beautiful. This was definetely the best part of our stay in the Grenadines and we are already talking about returning there.

The shower (warm water) would be only thing that I feel might benefit improvement. It is hard to get sweet water on the island so comprehensible this is to be treasured.
