Very convenient. Lovely staff

Rubbish outside the room windows wasn't nice, but mentioned it and staff said thank you, they would deal with it.

I was on a motorcycling trip and was wet through from constant rain. I was able to park the bike under cover, and able to dry everything out using the heated towel rail ready for the next day. Although evening food choice was limited I enjoyed what I ordered and didn’t have to go walking into town. The guy on reception was very helpful and welcoming.

Friendly staff, helpful and considerate. The singing chef was amusing at breakfast.

Unfortunately on the second night, we had some roudy guests next door, shouting until gone 1am.

Around the exterior of the building was a mess, as was the site its on. Had to fix the toilet seat before using it because it was only attached on one side.

Noise from a refrigerated lorry parked outside hotel on 2nd night. This was through no fault of the hotel and I understand the management contacted the owners to have it turned off by 11:30pm.

The one staff member was nice and tried to accommodate but its a losing battle when the place is so run down. The internet was adequate.

For £110+ a night this is overpriced. The rooms are in desperate need of renovation. There was no light by the bed or nightstand. The walls were all marked

The parking is good for a motorcycle although I still put 2 locks and a bike cover on. Good parking for cars my single room was adequate for me easy to get my bike gear in short walk through the fire exit door the shower was a good size and nice and hot and the towels nice and clean there's tea and coffee in the room also a tv i had a good night's sleep it was nice and quiet i would stay here again 😀

Finding it isn't as easy as you think it would be better if it had hotel signs once inside the show ground (they do send you a text message telling you how to get in though) there was not any food available at the hotel when I arrived although I could have had a ride back into town with a few different food venues open but I chose an early night they do a breakfast i think it's £10 I didn't have one as I had a early start

The description and the photos are misleading. It’s much shabbier than the photos make it look. I had breakfast once only: it was terrible.

Mattresses very uncomfortable! Window blind didn’t shut fully so let a lot of light through in the morning, causing us to wake up. No dressing mirror. Room seemed tired. Bathroom ok but electric shower not the most powerful in the world. All in all, definitely not value for money. Won’t be staying again

Great value for money, warm, comfortable, clean - very friendly and accommodating staff went out of their way to help us with bike storage, drying wet clothes etc.

Nothing really - shower water pressure could have been better, and it's a walk from the village but not too far, but neither thing a real issue!

Hotel rooms more like a hostel single rooms divided by a short wall.

It was comfortable, and the rooms were fine for basic accommodation. The staff were friendly.

We booked because the location is within the showground. Nobody told us the gates get locked and so we ended up with a really long walk round to get back in the evening. We'd only gone for food and there was no information about food being available at the hotel, so we needn't have got locked out in this way.

Room 15 lower ground floor The room was slit into two sections a bed in each room, was very unkept, carpet had stains walls were also marked. Bedclothes we’re relatively clean but very dirty under covers( photos att ). Furniture was very poor.Blinds to windows were broken but we’re repaired on request. Management were very negative when room quality was questioned telling us it was a deluxe twin room when asking management about quality he agreed it was not deluxe but was only one available,(not as shown on website). Room was very cold as only single glazed and rear fire exit door was left open all night. Because of state of bed we actually slept fully clothed on top of bed with towels as protection from bed, their was hair and fluff on quilts picture att. I think we should have a total refund as quality was not up to what you would expect from Booking .com

Lack of external maintenance - view from room 9 appalling!

This venue is obviously had good reviews, but that didn’t reflect my experience. I felt I was overcharged for the quality of the room which I’ll be taking up with Booking.com.

The hotel postcode won’t be good enough to find the venue as you’ll need to go to the back of the Welsh Showground. I rang the hotel as I was lost and they were very helpful - what didn’t help me? There was a dog show or something similar and their vehicles and dogs everywhere. Driving through the Showground was challenging. I did ask the hotel if they had what three words, of which they were saying they were working out. When I got to the hotel, I showed them the what three words on my phone, and they still said they were working out. I’m not sure what there is to work out. Room was tiny. Not good value at all. The corridor was dark and I needed my mobile phone flashlight to put the key in the door. Toiletries were minuscule, and I mean minuscule I appreciate the hotels of the Welsh Showground, I think right at the back. I asked the hotel staff about getting a taxi into town and they said “not a chance”. So that was me scuppered going out for a pint that evening.

The hotel was overpriced and not worth what we paid. The facilities are basic and the hotel could be cleaner. The bedding was clean however could be of better quality. The food was varied in quality

Nice location, comfortable and clean. Staff member who checked us in was extremely helpful and accommodating, we had just got in from a day of riding in the rain and the member of staff was extremely helpful when we needed to dry our gear.

Had to ring them to get in. All seemed abandoned when I arrived. There was hair on the plug and one of the blind vertical bits was broken so couldn’t close completely.

Windows didn't close properly and wind came thru on the frame, so moved the whole set up around and plugged it up with the brown cloth from the bed dressing!

The Lodge was lovely and clean, staff really friendly and helpful. Room had everything needed, breakfast was lovely. Great value for money. Would definitely go back.

We had a fantastic stay. The staff were incredibly helpful and the accommodation was spotless. A special thank you to the receptionist who checked us in — he went above and beyond, even meeting my colleague at the roadside to guide her safely to the hotel. Truly exceptional service. We enjoyed a lovely curry and drinks in the evening, and the room was peaceful, spacious, and very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Super convenient for the event I was attending. Room was bigger than I expected (single room) and great value for money. Excellent to have a restaurant and bar available too.

Property was perfect for our reason for visiting wales. Property was clean comfortable & the staff couldn’t have done any more for us.

Property looked a little run down on the outside but my guess would be that is because it’s January & be better with the summer colours. The bar wasn’t open except for a staff party which we were told we could join if we wanted but that was the only time open also no restaurant food. However if we needed to go that way again we would stay there.

Not allowed to leave the dog in the room alone even in their crate which made it more difficult to have something to eat even though the dogs were allowed in the dining room and i am lucky my dog is well behaved Bed a bit hard and pillows very soft no option for extra

Location perfect showing at show ground. food was of good quality service is excellent really friendly staff, as a older woman on my own I felt completely safe.

We found the room to be adequate for an overnight stay, and comfortable. The quality of the bed and bedding was excellent, and warranted a positive comment from us. We would definitely recommend anyone staying there.

The only slight drawback was the shower boiler, which is an in-line electric instant heater, which could not be set any hotter. It is always nice to have a really hot shower in cold weather. It was not very hot, but was not cold.

Difficult to find. No signs at all to help. Unhelpful staff on check in, couldn't tell us when the bar would open or if food would be available. Room wasn't clean and was very basic. It smelt musty, and damp. No mirror, pink mould in the shower. Two single beds with very thin duvets and no spare blankets or cushions. Blinds at window not in good order and no curtains. wardrobe with missing door, no chair at all. Access to where car was parked through a fire door which had been propped open with a fire extinguisher! We left and didn't stay. Missed a call from the owner on way home saying we were given wrong room and would be like to come back but was driving so didn't get the message until i was home. Emailed the business direct and through Booking.com with concerns. No response. I just wish I had taken photos but we couldn't wait to leave.

Straightforward to book in following clear instructions on where the lodge was. Clean and comfy room.
