Manque un peu de confort. Pas de bouilloire dans la chambre. Les oreillers sont plats.

The room was spacious for two people. Shelves and bookcase for additional storage helpful. There was one straight desk cha in r, not conducive to read. Breakfast was well laid out with typical European selections.

Juan at the reception was extremely helpful and courteous—I would strongly recommend this place to stay in town or visit nearby attractions in Gstaad.

Fint hotell med vacker natur runt om. Finns ingen ljudisolering och man hör tydligt när andra gäster använder toa och dusch och bara pratar. Fin frukost.

Upon arriving at the property, the guest is met with filthy condition very much unlike what appears in pictures on the site, and in a general state of sad disrepair. The rooms are of hostel not hotel quality. Within minutes of arriving there, it became very clear that I couldn't stay there, and that even though we had prepaid for the reservation and it was not cancelable, I would definitely risk forfeiting my deposit in order to avoid staying there. I immediately began looking for another hotel.

Property is in great location but rooms are outdated. Showers need upgrades Ok , for one night if have no obtions. Night person is not responsible. We requested bedding and she said housekeeping will bring it . They never come.

Los dos dias que estuvimos no vino ningun dia el servicio de limpieza. Nos decepcionó muchisimo encontrar la habitación sin limpiar cada vez que llegábamos por la noche.

Bon hôtel de passage, avec des prix raisonnables pour la Suisse. Petite remarque, pour un séjour hors saison. Je n'ai croisé personne. Arrivé à 19h40 et reparti le lendemain à 9h, pas de check in ni Check out. C'est très impersonnel. Même si le tout était prêt (clefs et enveloppe d'accueil dans la boite à lettres), ça manque un peu de personnalité. J'ai conscience que nous sommes en intersaison, mais ça reste un peu dommage. Pour le reste, c'est ok. Le petit Dej est bien ainsi que la propreté générale.

J'ai réservé une chambre d'une personne avec un lit une place. La chambre est d'une autre époque mais très propre et en très bon état. La literie est également de bonne qualité et le petit déjeuner fait de produits régionaux.

Bel environnement au calme. Bon petit déjeuner avec des produits frais et locaux, excellente confiture fait maison. Cependant manque de reapprovisionnement, pas de charcuterie et pas de verre pour le jus de fruits à 8h du matin, personnel absent arrive à 9h. Ménage dans les chambres et sur la terrasse succincts.

Am Samstag abwend, kein Abendmal. Kein Probkem - aber wie sollen wir die Speiseauswahl bewerten können ?

Super bien situé pour faire un vol en montgolfière!

Bin in der Schweiz noch nie so unfreundlich und unambitioniert behandelt worden. Die Zimmer sind dunkel und sehr hellhörig. Alles in allem eine Atmosphäre wie an deutscher Autobahnraststätte.

Proche de la gare de chateau d'oex et des commodités.Tres calme avec vue panoramique sur les alpes. Services impeccable,petit déjeuner copieux avec des produits frais.Enfin bon rapport qualité prix.

El hotel está bien situado, está limpio y la imagen es buena, pero la cama es horrible, muy pequeña e incomoda, y las almohadas para olvidar.

Ruhige Umgebung, saubere Zimmer, gutes Frühstücksbuffet.

Die Hotelanlage mit viel Holz gefällt mir. Der Grundriss der Häuser mit Zimmern und die Umgebung fand ich stimmig konzipiert. Die grossräumige Bar/Aufenthalts- und Restauration gefiel mir. Es war schön für mich, dass viele Familien mit Kindern da waren, das war lebendiger "Hintergrund" zu meinem Hotelaufenthalt. Das Frühstücksbuffet war gut präsentiert mit feinen Produkten. Regionale Produkte (Konfi, Käse, ev. Brot würden es positiv aufwerten, ev. waren solche Proudkte wenig deutlich markiert

Charmant hôtel, tres calme et abordable

der junge Mann am Empfang, nicht besonders freundlich, fühlten uns nicht besonders willkommen.Das Frühstücksbüffet war am 2. Tag sehr dürftig. 1 Sorte Brot und ab 9.30 nur noch Toast Brot vorhanden. Einfach schlecht organisiert. Sonst alles ok, würde wieder kommen

Not a good experience, stay away. We travelled with our small kid and the lady at reception declined our request to do a bit earlier checkin although we could find out that the rooms were ready at that time, she wasn't kind enough and was continuously on the phone while we waited at reception. Room has no tea/coffee facility, dark inside and a broken chair. Would never book this again.

Die Abfalleimer im und um das Gebäude waren überfüllt. Auf das Sofa im Zimmer wagte ich mich nicht zu setzen (schmutzig). Zum Frühstück wurde abgelaufene Milch aufgetischt (ab Verpackung). Ein schöner Garten zum Verweilen.

Todo aceptable, el inconveniente según el alojamiento es que ya no tiene relación con EXPEDÍA, y no tenia el hotel Comunicacion sobre mi reserva ni la cantidad entregada a expedía. Finalmente conseguí dos habitaciones pero el establecimiento igual no respeta las condiciones contratadas. Ruego que expedía subsane dichos inconvenientes y entregue al hotel el dinero adelantado por mi. Gracias

I guess the owner of this place needed to know that their staffs are really trying to ruin his business. No service, stated under booking conditions that check-in is until 8pm but the staff decided to leave early and leave all our keys in a mail box for self check-in even saw us walking in the hotel !! Then the fish bone with one of the bed frame is broken and didn’t bother to fix it ? One of my colleagues almost dropped herself on the floor ! Towels were not changed, rubbish weren’t cleaned out .. nothing stated accordingly to the conditions written in the booking conditions. How could that be ? We are talking about Switzerland not some run down places… I just cannot believe what had happened to us in the past days

Séjour convenable dans un lieu qui tient plus de l’accueil de groupes que d’un hôtel, même si la chambre est spacieuse et avec un coin salon fort appréciable. Literie ok, mais draps avec des trous, serviettes de toilette effilochées, joints de douche à refaire urgemment tant ils sont noircis… pour un 3 étoiles, nous nous attendions à mieux. Le restaurant n’a pas de carte et propose un seul menu, basique. Petit déjeuner ok par contre, le choix et la qualité sont là, à part pour les fruits. Et l’aspirateur en plein petit déjeuner dans l’espace salon attenant avec ensuite le lavage du sol à la javel, c’est vraiment à proscrire!!

A lovely place to stay. The staff was very friendly. From the hotel it was a short walk to town and to hiking trails.

The hotel has refurbished rooms but is otherwise not in the best of shape and looks very dated. The restaurant was drafty and there was only one menu. The personnel was very nice, and a one-night stay for the relatively low price acceptable. Not recommended for a longer stay.

Der Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm und unkompliziert. Der Service an der Rezeption und im Restaurant sehr freundlich. Toilette/Bad könnte erneuert werden. Alles in Allem ein schöner Aufenthalt. Preis/Leistung sehr gut.

sehr negativ war: das eigene Restaurant war genau am diesem Freitagabend geschlossen ;-( keine Alternative zum Essen ...!!! So, dass nur Takeaway mit Kindern (Aussentemperatur 8 Grad, regen) möglich war !!! Das Hotel hatte überhaupt keine Infos darüber gemeldet, sei es per email, Anruf, Homepage usw... sehr speziell ;-(

This is our second time at the R et N and it was wonderful again. We came for a writing weekend, during a rainy period, and loved our double room. What is great is that there are amazing hiking trails along the Sarine River just behind the hotel. Cuisine in the large dining room is very good and the place has a lot of character.

Wonderful people made a short stay amazing. Almost made us forget about COVID.

A large chalet style hotel with a magnificent view of the surrounding Alpine landscape!

Petite chambre toute simple. L'environnement était un peu bruyant car la chambre était située à côté de l'entrée et des escaliers. Les repas étaient excellents, mais c'était dommage qu'il n'y ait qu'un seul menu.

Unkomplizierter Aufenthalt mit Allem was man braucht. Nichts luxuriöses, aber sauber und komfortabel zu einem fairen Preis. Wenn in der Gegend würde ich wieder hier übernachten.

Séjour de seulement une nuit. Accueil chaleureux, chambre tout à fait correcte, déjeuner simple mais très bon, emplacement en dehors du village très tranquille. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié et sommes prêts à revenir.

Quaint little hotel close to the main square of Chateau-D’Oex. The single rooms are a little small than what I am used to but the double is good. Magnificent views all around the hotel and I definitely will be going there soon!!

We very much enjoyed our two day excursion at the Roc et Neige in the beautiful village of Chateau d'Oex, which is situated in a postcard valley of what are actually considered the "Pre-Alps." The hotel is set up for hikers, skiers, etc., hence the name. We did a long hike to the north on day 1 and a long hike to the south on day 2. We chose to eat dinner in the hotel and loved the cuisine, service, and views of the surrounding mountains. The hotel has a large sitting area/bar and our double room was large, with a separate couch/sitting area, comfortable and clean bed, and magnificent views to the northwest. Breakfast was relatively modest, could do with a few more options for the buffet. In all, this will be our go-to place for a hiking excursion.

Good basis Swiss resort hotel - clean and comfortable at a fair price

Das Zimmer war sehr schön eingerichtet. Das Morgenmuffet war reichhaltig und ansprechend servierten.

Supervriendelijke ontvangst. Zeer net en goed gelegen hotel. Verwacht geen grote luxe maar een goede uitvalsbasis voor een redelijke prijs.

代堡的地理位置算是在山區，要經過一段山路才可以到達。其中有一個房間暖氣完全失靈且需要爬三層樓才能到達。 不過因為有熱氣球節，且會場就在飯店旁邊，所以一切都值得了！

Le problème était simplement le chauffage qui n etait plus aux normes. Les chambres étaient vraiment irrespirables tellement il faisait chaud. Le chauffage de la salle de bains ne pouvait pas se stopper heureusement que ce ne fut pas le cas de celui de la chambre principale.

Ok - man könnte jedoch etwas investieren. Die Zimmer sind sehr einfach gehalten.

Après avoir passé la moitié de la nuit re fixer les lattes du sommier nous nous sommes résigné à mettre le matelas à terre et de dormir à peu près bien. Le petit déjeuner est copieux. Le personnel très gentil.

Very basic property but staff is super friendly and accommodating and everything in the room worked, nice size, all good. Again very basic property.

Good price thru Expedia; not the easiest place to find at night walking from train station with your luggage; more attention to common area cleanliness - like cleaning mud from hallway floors and walkways, emptying outside trash cans (which did not happen the whole week I was there); pretty noisy between midnight and early morning..too many people coming and going, loud talking, slamming doors, using bathrooms and showers in the middle of the night - like 0230 am! No individual room balcony’s..so could enjoy beautiful sun, air, views unless going to main building and sitting in smoking area outside.

Chateau d'Oex is a great hub for families and for nature lovers. The village has a friendly atmosphere, and the staff at Hotel Roc et Neige are very attentive and nice. Simple hotel furniture and amenities. All in all, great staff and a great stay for a laid- back family time!

My room (a single) was small and old fashioned, but I had what I needed. No real complaints. Not far from train station with scenic train ride to Montreaux which I highly recommend. Reasonable price caused me to book. Eating area, including outside balcony, was much more pleasant than room.

The Roc Et Neige is a lovely hotel. We visited over the Xmas break and enjoyed ourselves. The room is lovely overlooking the village and the mountains. Decent breakfast and great staff. They have a lovely bar too.

Decent enough hotel, although essentially rather impersonal - they seem to primarily cater to coach parties (certainly in summer). Satisfactory, but no special qualities.

only stayed one night for B & B as driving to Kandersteg next day, very nice stay room very good, as was breakfast & facillitys
