Umino Ryotei Okinawa Nakamasou

We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. Umino Ryotei Okinawa Nakamasou is a very traditional Japanese hotel, but everything was kept to a very high standard. The view from our room was absolutely phenomenal and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. We especially enjoyed the breakfast. Every morning we received something different, with two Japanese style breakfasts and one Western style breakfast during our stay. The gentleman serving breakfast was one of our highlights. He was so kind and always tried his best to communicate with us in English, which we really appreciated. Another highlight were the four cats living at the property, especially Taro and Hana. We were allowed to feed and pet them, and it was lovely to see how well the staff take care of them. The onsen was also very clean and well maintained.

This is really complaining on a very high level, but we would have appreciated a more modern hair dryer in the room and onsen area.

Wir hatten das große Glück, 13 Nächte in diesem wunderschönen Ryokan zu verbringen, und es war ohne Zweifel eines der Highlights unserer Japanreise. Jeden Abend wurden wir mit einem außergewöhnlichen mehrgängigen japanischen Menü verwöhnt. Man sollte offen dafür sein, neue Gerichte und Zutaten auszuprobieren – aber genau das macht das Erlebnis so besonders. Die Qualität der Speisen war jeden einzelnen Tag perfekt: unglaublich frisch, hervorragend zubereitet und auf höchstem Niveau. Der Koch gibt sich außergewöhnlich viel Mühe und steckt viel Leidenschaft in jedes Gericht. Am letzten Abend hat er sogar ein eigenes Menü nur für uns kreiert – es fühlte sich wie ein Abend in einem Haubenrestaurant an. Auch der Service war herausragend. Die Kellner waren unglaublich herzlich, aufmerksam, professionell und gleichzeitig sehr humorvoll. Man hat sich vom ersten bis zum letzten Tag willkommen gefühlt. Generell war im gesamten Haus alles hervorragend organisiert und sehr professionell. Das Zimmer war wunderschön, groß, sehr sauber und mit einem traumhaften Ausblick. Das Onsen war ebenfalls hervorragend und der perfekte Ort zum Entspannen. Auch das Frühstück war jeden Morgen ausgezeichnet und ließ keine Wünsche offen. Die Lage hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Ein Auto ist auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert, um die Umgebung bequem zu erkunden. Ein schöner Strand ist nur wenige Minuten entfernt (Sonnenschirm ca. 13 € pro Tag). Was diesen Ort für uns besonders gemacht hat, war seine Authentizität. Im Gegensatz zu vielen Resorts erlebt man hier echte japanische Gastfreundschaft und Kultur. Wir haben uns während unseres gesamten 13-tägigen Aufenthalts jeden Tag rundum wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für diese unvergessliche Zeit!

Le repas du soir et le petit déjeuné excellent, il ne faut pas avoir peur de découvrir de nouvelles choses/saveurs( en tant qu’européen ). Le sauna et le onsen avec une vue magnifique ..! L’accueil à la japonaise super et un peu déconcertant pour nous étrangers qui sommes pas habitué..!

Je dirais peut être le lit un chouïa dure mais pas dérangeant.

Really exceptional. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everything was perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay special. We had to leave very early in the morning for a diving trip and couldn’t make it to breakfast, so they kindly prepared a delicious breakfast earlier just for us. The rooms were spacious, beautiful, and impeccably maintained (you could practically do multiple somersaults in them!). This was a luxurious, traditional Japanese stay and, without a doubt, the best hotel experience we’ve ever had.

三層式日式早餐分量剛好! 搭配海景很舒適。大浴室早晚各去一次都是只有我們自己人，就像包場一樣很舒服!房間很大很安靜，可以看著海發呆適合度假。

雙床房的床的位子很奇怪，並沒有靠牆，像兩個方盒子放在房間中央，加上白色的床罩!我想懂得都懂~不太吉利!另外可能是因為靠近海邊,地板都有些潮濕的感覺! 早餐的附餐只有準備咖啡跟紅茶，沒有任何適合小孩的咖啡因飲料(點果汁需要自費)有些不貼心。

Das Frühstück war sehr abwechslungsreich und jedes Mal eine wunderbare Überraschung. Alles war liebevoll und ansprechend präsentiert – ein wahrer Gaumenschmaus. Die Zimmer mit den typisch japanischen Schiebetüren waren etwas ganz Besonderes und vermittelten ein authentisches japanisches Flair. Auch die traditionelle Kleidung, die zur Verfügung gestellt wurde, passte perfekt zum gesamten Ambiente. Das Onsen war zwar klein, aber sehr gepflegt und gemütlich. Die wunderschöne Aussicht auf die Meeresbucht rundete den Aufenthalt auf perfekte Weise ab.

Wegen eines Taifuns mussten wir zu unserer eigenen Sicherheit für drei Tage in ein anderes Hotel umziehen. Das Hotelpersonal hat sich in dieser außergewöhnlichen Situation sehr professionell und fürsorglich verhalten. Die Kosten für die drei Tage wurden uns ohne jegliche Probleme erstattet, was wir sehr zu schätzen wussten.

Everything in this hotel was wonderful! The room was very clean and we could fully enjoy the sea view sitting at the sofa at the room. The bathtub was superb. I stayed three nights and felt so relaxed.

Excellent customer service, great amenities, awesome ocean views, and delicious daily breakfast!

The only downside was that the bed was super firm that our back was aching every morning. I wish there’s bed topper that makes the bed more comfortable.

Beautiful place to stay. We stayed there for 4 nights the first 2 mornings we had a traditional Japanese breakfast then on our 3rd morning it was Western style for our 4th morning we were able to choose. One night we had dinner there and it was an amazing traditional Japanese dinner with 8 courses. The onsen was nice had a beautiful view and was clean. Our room had an amazing view and it was easy to walk down the hill for a pre-breakfast walk along the coast. We booked a massage in our room and it was amazing. Best one we had during our travels in Japan. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

The only thing was the beds were hard but we were prefer beds that are more medium firmness.

Excellent Experience! We stayed at this resort for a week, and the entire experience was absolutely incredible. The resort itself is beautiful and offers an amazing view of the ocean. What truly made our stay standout was the staff. Both the front desk team and the restaurant staff were wonderful—always welcoming, friendly, and kind. It was the best hotel experience we had in Japan, the staff was super nice and the room was great, also, the dinner and breakfast were amazing, full of traditional dishes and as a gastronomical lover, it was a great experience. Our waiter was super nice, sadly we didn't ask his name but made the experience even better. We would have loved to say goodbye to him, he was game changing. Great hotel for great value, it is placed right in the middle of the island so everything is practically close by.

We had an amazing time in the Ryokan with a wonderful sea view and room. I appreciate how the staff was able to accomodate to our needs and take care of us. As for example we could have a western breakfast.

The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming from the moment of arrival. The food was absolutely outstanding — everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. You can really tell they put care into both the service and the quality of the dishes.

The property was exceptional! We stayed for three nights and four days as part of our honeymoon, and every moment spent at the ryokan was wonderful. The staff are incredibly warm and polite, from the moment we were greeted at check-in to being served meals during breakfast and dinner service. They gave us a thorough walk-through of our room, explained what we had at each meal, and provided thoughtful details that made our stay all the more special. The food is fantastic and I strongly suggest getting a meal here as part of your stay! We were in awe each time we were presented with beautifully assembled courses for our kaiseki meals. Everything tasted delicious. Our room was also very spacious and incredibly peaceful with an ocean view. It was amazing that we were provided with room wear and lounge wear for outside the room (onsen, dining area). We loved being able to access the onsen on-site too. Thank you for making our stay so memorable! We would happily return again.

Es war einfach alles perfekt! Das Zimmer war ein großes Studio mit bodentiefen Fenstern, Balkon und Meerblick mit erstklassiger landestypischer Einrichtung. Das Badezimmer ist eine Sensation, es fehlte einfach an Nichts; hochwertige Kosmetikartikel und Bad-Utensilien wurden täglich aufgefüllt, ebenso die sehr reichhaltige ausgestattete Minibar. Der hauseigene Onsen mit dazugehöriger Sauna ließ keine Wünsche offen. Das japanische Frühstück war das Allerbeste meiner gesamten Japanreise, ich kann es wirklich nur empfehlen. Natürlich war auch das Servicepersonal herausragend freundlich umsichtig und trotzdem sehr angenehm dezent. Haus- und Schlafanzüge, Alleinlage mit einer sehr gepflegten Gartenanlage sowie kostenlose Parkplätze rundeten das Angebot dieser wunderschönen Unterkunft ab.

Es gab wirklich nichts zu beanstanden.

It was my second time visiting Nakamasou and I came back because I had enjoyed my first time so much. The rooms are stunning, spacious, ryokan-style and still modern with amazing views of Onna and the sea. It is very quiet and the hotel offers all amenities - a restaurant with great food and a fantastic staff, a public onsen and it's a short walk to the next village, although there is not much to do in the village - I recommend coming by rental car. One of the best places to stay in Okinawa.

I was a bit disappointed that although I had made arrangements for a massage 2 months in advance, on short notice I cancelled it because 5 minutes before the massage, I was asked to reschedule because the female massage therapist wasn't available anymore.

주변의 가게가 별로 없다는 점은 조금 아쉽네요. 다만 그만큼 번화가와 떨어져 있어서 누릴 수 있는 고즈넉함도 있습니다. 호텔 내에 즐길 수 있는 시설이 조금 더 있어도 좋을 것 같습니다.

主人が、宿泊前に膝を痛め車椅子の相談をした所、心良く準備してくれました。が主人は、車椅子を断り痛みを我慢してびっこしながら歩いてました。移動場所など色々配慮してくださり又主人に気を遣わせないようにスタッフ皆さんが、気にかけて見守って下さり気遣いがとても嬉しく、主人に何かあった時は頼りになると安心しました。又仕事頑張って、ご褒美に泊まりに行きたいです。

I enjoyed the breakfast. They offered variety over two breakfasts. I totally enjoyed the bath in the room. However i would have liked some bath salts to use for the bath experience. I paid for one Kaiseki dinner. It was a beautiful experience. Staff did not notice it was also my birthday. So nothing special done. But the waiter who attended to me made it very enjoyable.

No internet TV channels. The daily bad evening traffic on the road leading to the place. Hotel needs to inform about the traffic conditions for drivers who may face delays.

가족 6명이 다함께 방 2개로 1박 했습니다! 리뷰를 정말 많이 찾아봤을때 안좋은 리뷰 한두개가 있어 조금 걱정했는데 쓸데없는 걱정이였어요 ㅎㅎ 직원분들 모두 정말 친절하시고 하나하나 챙겨주십니다. 대욕장은 생각보다는 많이 작았지만 이용할때 사람이 아예 없거나 거의 이용하지 않아 가족끼리 조용히 이용했네요. 가이세키도 정말 맛있고 눈이 즐거워요! 아침도 맛있고 양이 정말 많습니다. 식당에는 작은 팬케이크 기계도 있어서 좋았어요. 료칸이 전체적으로 굉장히 조용하고 청결해서 내내 행복했습니다 재방문 꼭 하고싶네요

The staff struck the perfect balance—incredibly warm and accommodating when we needed them, especially during my parents' celebration, yet immediately respectful when I requested quiet time and gave me the space I needed to recharge. Dinner exceeded all expectations. Every course was beautifully presented and delicious catering to our taste —genuinely an art piece on the plate.The views and tranquil atmosphere are unmatched. Highly recommend for anyone seeking both luxury and genuine peace.
