A great hotel, the staff was so welcoming and helpful. The room was great, we had plenty of room for a family of 4. We highly recommend!

The staff were all wonderful. I’ve been practicing Japanese in preparation for my Japan trip, but it was not needed here. Some staff spoke better English than I did hehe. I did appreciate how patient everyone was with me trying. The facilities were excellent. The music bar downstairs was a nice place to start my night with beer or cocktails. I appreciated having the laundry room downstairs (since I’m on a 3 week tour around Japan). I am a bit of a smoker and this was the first spot on my trip (previously Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, etc. that made it really convenient; hopefully I didn’t bother anybody). They forwarded my luggage and even held my stuff while I wandered around after check-out. This was my first hotel stay on my trip; I previously did Airbnbs for the first half, and I kinda regret it, knowing that there’s really accommodating hotels like this out there. I’m in Matsumoto now and I wish I could go back. ありがとうございます、またきます！

Nothing stands out. I guess the only thing I can think of is the laundry room being shared. You never know who your neighbors will be, and there was a bit of paper and dust that got on my clothes (from receipts and stuff in peoples pockets). Doesn’t reflect on the hotel for me, I genuinely loved this place.

The extra 1,000 yen I had to pay for an early check-in of 50 minutes only. I would have let it go but I wanted the room so decided to pay it anyways.

The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and supportive throughout our stay. The hotel was exceptionally clean, and much of our room felt very new and well maintained. We really couldn’t fault the location, and the bistro bar area had such a wonderful atmosphere, with great music and absolutely delicious cocktails and food. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

It was a little unfortunate that the bar and bistro were closed on Sunday, as we would have happily enjoyed another evening there, but this certainly didn’t detract from what was a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Perfectly located in the centre of Kanazawa, making it an ideal base to explore all the city's highlights. The staff were super friendly and gave us tons of tips on where to go and what to try. The bar with its live DJ is a lovely touch and a great addition to the hotel.

The rooms were nice and clean, though they could use a little more soul and style - the feeling was a touch "IKEA clean," especially compared to the stylish modern lobby and bar. Really just a bit of design or some artwork on the walls would make them perfect and more welcoming.

The location was great. The hotel was exceptionally clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Right in the middle of everything where you need to be at Kanazawa. Nice staff, good, newish builbing, well equipped rooms. The music bar at the lobby definitely gives a uniqe twist to the hotel and some quality time for you.

Some places, e.g. the elevator could have been cleaner.

New modern style building tucked away in a quiet location yet minutes from the shops and restaurants. Great bar, great music, and great food until 11:30pm which was very convenient. Rooms were very spacious and clean with no noise.

The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful! The room, corner unit, was BEAUTIFUL with washer, kitchen, and spacious living room and bedroom. The views were incredibly. Hotel was very centrally located with lots shopping, food, and easy walk to bus stop. Definitely would recommend to anyone visiting Kanazawa!

Great location and staff were excellent and helpful - even took our luggage to our room while we were out and about before the check in time - really appreciated that. Music bar was great and didn’t interfere with the stay at all - on the contrary during our last evening, we enjoyed the vouchers the hotel gave us for the bar.

Great corner room with a separate bedroom and a washing machine. Nice bar downstairs. Kanazawa was so welcomibg, we had multiple open and fruendly encounters with lical residents.

Water pressure on floor 9 was a bit patchy in the morning.

The location was good - especially if you like vintage clothes as it’s surrounded by vintage stores.

Noi viaggiamo con una bambina piccola e con il caldo abbiamo preferito usare i taxi, la sera però ci spostavamo a piedi

Courteous staff on arrival made us feel welcome. Downstairs bar with albums and music a unique experience for any traveller. Rooms and bathroom are good sizes.

Be prepared for a long walk from the station. Stay on the shady side of the street. Clothes dryers took a few spins to get the clothes dry.

Amazing room - wide, clean, comfy beds. Modern hotel with good vibe, very nice staff. Location is also very central - walking everywhere is an option.

There was no full breakfast option (they offer some small sandwich, but there's no proper breakfast, and stuff encourage you to maybe look for some place outside), which made it a bit inconvenient.

Staff friendly, room big but minimalist. Window but no view. Very clean, shower and toiletries great. Staff gave us very good advice on what to see and do in our time in Kanazawa. Music bar nice but we missed Happy Hour.

We didn’t have breakfast however decided to have a meal in music bar. Music and atmosphere great and was ok but not the best, with small portion sizes and very western choice.

Music bar could be quite loud so not great for sitting in for talking - can only really enjoy a drink silently. Blinds in room not at all good for keeping out sun so can be challenging for light sleepers

the bestest staff: always happy to help with everything and very knowledgeable about Kanazawa history. proper big room. even though the hotel is a bit far from all the sites, it is located on a very fun street with lots of shops. there is a listening bar on the ground floor.

Location was fantastic - on a main promenade, near so many great restaurants, busline, and shopping. Staff was incredible - great English, so helpful with tips and suggestions (even through e-mail). Room was super spacious. We stayed on the 9th floor with a kitchenette. Views were magnificent! Would recommend for anyone going to Kanazawa as a base. We even had a washer in the apt. Would not hesitate to rebook or recommend!!!

This hotel was an amazing find. It is small but has fantastic facilities. Our room was spacious with a bed and a couch and both were very comfortable. There were washers and dryers we could use on the first floor. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a bar on the first floor and a beautiful deck area to enjoy a relaxing evening. The location is perfect to see some of the main Kanazawa attractions. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially with recommending local sights to see, places to visit and meals to eat. Especially impressed with the vinyl bar - order a drink and some food, and appreciate the DJ setting the vibe with a huge collection of vinyls, played on incredible speakers. The location is quite central to many of the various places we visited, and made it easy to get around.

The hotel was in a great location, close to many interesting sights/art museums and restaurants around the city so I just walked everywhere. Rooms were spacious and clean, minimal design and comfortable. The staff were super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. I did not get a chance to go to the music bar but saw many guests enjoying it through my stay there. The music can be loud but you cannot hear anything in the rooms and I was on the 3F. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in the city!

I had the corner room so finally space in a Japanese hotel. Plus there were drawers and a cute desk.

There was some confusion over breakfast and it seems like a specialist booking was required so even if you wanted to pay in the spot you needed to have reserved prior to that day.

Wir hatten ein schönes und großes Zimmer im dritten Stock. Dort gab es eine kleine Küchenzeile und ein großes Bad mit Waschmaschine.Das Kaname Inn Tatemachi liegt ca. 1 km vom Kanazawa Castle und Kenroku-en Garten entfernt. Ebenso sind das historische Geisha Viertel und viele Einkaufsläden in der Nähe.

The room was spacious and clean, the staff were super friendly and helpful, and its location made getting around the city easy. The music bar is an absolute highlight; it's usually closed on Sundays, so keep that it in mind when booking.

The Kaname Inn on Tatemachi Street in Kanazawa is a super little hotel and is a great place to stay in Kanazawa. First impressions are good as the staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient, the room and in fact the whole hotel was very clean and well maintained, it's in a good location for an easy 10 minute walk to the museum of modern art yet it's on one of the main shopping streets too, and the bar is great fun. Furthermore the room was a good size for a twin bed room, and the air con unit was super quiet. This might sound like a small detail but the night before we stayed in a hotel with a standard type air con unit and the difference was notable, and we slept so well during our stay at the Kaname Inn. We think the price we paid for the room was very reasonable indeed and we highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was nice and spacious, which is a luxury in Japan. The staff were really nice, especially a woman whose name I've sadly forgotten, but who had lived abroad in Australia for a while. She was super nice and helpful. We really liked the bar; it gets more full than you expect, so if you want to guarantee a space, you might need to reserve a table. Their burger was super tasty, and we liked the cocktails. They also have a longer happy hour for the guests. You can also reserve breakfast, but safer to do so 2 days in advance. We were lucky to find it on the day. We had really nice sandwichesıth potato salad, some greens and a tomato on the side.

The one single issue we had was discovering a large stain on my dad's duvet cover. Which was resolved immediately.

Posizione eccellente in una via pedonale centralissima, perfetta per visitare Kanazawa e a pochi passi dal quartiere dei samurai. Atmosfera giovane e piacevole, con un pub al piano terra animato da musica dal vivo/DJ ogni sera. Staff fantastico, molto disponibile e con un ottimo livello di inglese. Camera pulita e sorprendentemente spaziosa per gli standard giapponesi.

La colazione è stata l’aspetto meno convincente del soggiorno: non viene preparata in struttura e consiste principalmente in un tramezzino, una soluzione piuttosto limitata per chi preferisce una colazione più varia o in stile occidentale.

Staff was fantastic- super helpful( went above and beyond to arrange transfer of a box of items) Location wonderful- easy access to buses but also easy walking distance to key sites Suite was clean, spacious and had everything we could possibly need. The view of the mountains was lovely. Opening the door to the suite was like arriving HOME ( but neater).

We liked everything. We liked the music bar( cocktails and singing softly along to songs we knew) The street in front of the hotel was full of interesting shops- wonderful waffles with bananas and chocolate or with matcha ice cream were to be found across the street.

Ubicación insuperable y el personal super amable! Es un lugar bonito, tiene un propio bar con buena música en las noches. Dentro de todo es un ambiente tranquilo y para gente de todas las edades. La comida del lugar muy buena. La habitación nos tocó en el piso 4 y era silenciosa, limpia y super amplia. Además bien equipada con su a/c, una mesita y todo. Me gustó un montón! Sin duda me quedaría otra vez aqui. Lo recomiendo!

Me hubiese gustado que ofrecieran el servicio de desayuno! Sería más cómodo, a pesar que hay lugares cerca para comer igual. Tampoco queda tan cerca de la estación pero es fácil llegar! Hay transporte público pero en uber no sale caro.

A really nice hotel, our room was a deluxe on the 9th floor, very roomy and comfortable, and very well appointed. Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was the best we’ve had so far. Huge bath was very welcome after a big day of walking. When we arrived, Rachel at the front desk was absolutely amazing; we’ve never experienced such a warm and informative welcome before anywhere in all our travels, with Rachel pointing out all the spots of interest and how to get around. Very much appreciated. We loved the music bar and restaurant on the ground floor, and enjoyed dinner and drinks listening to the music twice during our stay. A very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Overall one of our best stays and would highly recommend.
