Lavik Fjord Hotell

This family owned hotel on the fjord was a great place to stay. It had a good evening meal and breakfast. Very friendly staff and owners. We had a view room which was awesome.

The apartment was spacious and well equipped. Beautiful view and comfortable beds. We had one minor issue that when we went to the front desk to address they immediately corrected, so helpful. Great water pressure in the shower but after 3 people showered there was not enough hot water left for the last of us to shower. The apartment was quiet, although in the morning the area outside the apartment was noisy. Overall would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area. We did not try the restaurant as we cooked our own food since we had a kitchen.

This is such a charming place to stay. The rooms are cozy, the staff is incredibly friendly and the views are amazing. 10/10 recommend.

The room was very nice and big with a private terrace facing the fjord where we got to watch the sunset. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.

What a delightfull hotel. The owner Laurens was a perfect host. Our room was huge & modern with the most amazing wide open vista of Sognefjord, the township and the coming & going ferries. Great outside restaurant deck. We had dinner as well which was excellent. Great menu. Must come back.

Vi hadde et overnattingsbesøk på tur til en annen destinasjon. Fint hotell, svært hyggelig personale, helt ok mat. Stort og romslig rom, men det var mye støy fra ventilasjon, en slags piping. Piping var det også når en tappet vann fra vask på badet. Støy fra fergetrafikk var vi forberedt på.

Great property with restaurant overlooking the fjord with outside seating. We had dinner at the hotel because it was such an amazing view from the deck.

We spent 2 nights at the Lavik Fjord Hotel, a small hotel adjacent to the fjord ferry dock. The views were spectacular and the owners provided a personal touch that made you feel welcome.

Amazing place. The apartment was great. Amazing view. Washer/dryer and all the equipment required. Charging stations next door at the Tesla carpark. Ferry around the corner. The hotel hosts were amazing as well. Super friendly and attentive.

I had a pleasant stay,and would recommend for stop-over.

The gentlemen at the front desk came to check in us after 2am because our flight got delayed and it took us 5 more hours to get there. He was very helpful and made us feel welcome! The views from.the apartment was fabulous and the amenities were also great at the apartments.

Good apartment, very modern and new, all we need is there. We reserved for 2 nights and unfortunately we had to cancel one night. The personal was not inclined to keep the best opinion of our stay being unflexible to refund our night. I stay with a bad taste and don't recommend when the personal is not focused about client's satisfaction. That was the worst part of our trip.

The apartment we stayed was just furnished, with all the new furnitures and tools. All places in it are super clean, with a very large toilet with two washing machines, drying area. All things and tools are clearly described by the host or stated in the in-room menu. My family and I had a wonderful time staying there and wished that we've booked more days in it.

We rented the top apartment for 5 nights and had a great time. The restaurant was also very good. Was one of the highlights of our month vacation.

Lovely apartment that 3 of us stayed in. The sofa bed was super easy to pull out and was comfortable and you couldn’t beat the views! The restaurant also had amazing food with views of the Fjiord. It was a perfect place to stay that made it super easy to get the ferry!

We rented an apartment on this property. Back patio has great views of the fjord; the apartment is spacious and clean, and the bed is comfortable. My only complaint is that breakfast was not included, but we weren’t aware of that at check-in. Breakfast options were very lacking compared to the other hotels we stayed at in Norway. For $15 a person, it was not worth it. Wouldn’t have ate there if we had known it wasn’t included.

Schönes Hotel. Es war alles in Ordnung. Freundliche Betreiber, solides Restaurant-Essen. Der Ort selbst gibt außer der Fährverbindung nicht viel her. Als Zwischenstation würden wir es ohne Bedenken wieder wählen.

Très bel appartement et très bien entretenu. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques. Vraiment parfait !

Das Wirtspaar ist sehr freundlich, die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet, Terrasse und Restauranträume sind sehr schön gestaltet, die Küche, d.h. die Speisen und Getränke sehr gut.

The best thing about this place was the amazing views. We chose the sea view room and it was amazing. You could lay in bed and look out and see the beautiful fjords. We had room 1 and the view couldn’t be beat. The hosts were friendly and lovely as well.

Greit sted å overnatte på en Vestlandsferie. To minutter til fergen. Kjempegod og personlig service. Fikk oppgradert rom med fjordutsikt og stor balkong i første etasje. Noe støy fra ferge og vei, men ikke mer enn at vi sov godt, selv med vinduet oppe. Stort velholdt rom med alt vi trengte. Superrent overalt på hotellet. Standard frokost, men til 100 kroner var det helt ok.

Lite familiehotell

Stayed for a couple of nights, and appeared to be the first guests of the hotel’s newly built apartments. The apartment was very cozy and nicely furnished, and looked sparkling clean. It had all the necessary amenities — thoughtfully equipped kitchen with full set of kitchenware, bathroom with washing and drying machines, and spacious bedroom with a comfy bed and plenty of storage space. There also was a private terrace where we enjoyed a lovely view to the fjord and ferries passing by. We had our breakfasts at the hotel’s restaurant, the food was tasty and for a good price. The hosts are the nicest and very welcoming people, communication with them was always smooth and pleasant. Will definitely recommend and glad to be back!

Do plan your trip for either a pit stop along the route or a few good days in Lavik staying at this place. Extremely easy access. I will return.

Cozy little hotel overlooking the fjord. Just next to the ferry crossing area. Not too much around the hotel but very pretty views. The hotel looks to be family run and has a very nice restaurant area.

The manager was warm and welcoming and very helpful. He offered many suggestions for activities which we would’ve enjoyed had the weather been better. We ate lunch and dinner in the dining room and were quite pleased with the selections and the quality of food served. We thought that our reservation included breakfast and were disappointed to find out that it was not part of the Expedia booking. Not the hotel’s fault. Lovik Fjordhotell is just right for someone who enjoys an intimate accommodation with very personal service in a lovely setting. Highly recommended!

We were passing through on our road trip and stayed at this lovely little family owned hotel. The water facing room was beautiful as we watched the sun set and the ferries come and go. Not much to eat in the area except at the hotel, which served homely meals at reasonable prices.

We stayed for the night in the Lavik Fjord Hotell. The hotel is located on the lake and nearby the ferry leading from Lavik to Oppedal, a perfect location. The staff has been very nice and helpful. For the family, we booked two rooms, and we got two adjacent rooms with a small connecting hallway, almost a suite. One of the rooms had a nice balcony watching the lake. Lavik Fjord Hotell has been a great experience!

We stayed just one night to break up a long journey to Bergen. However we wished we had stayed longer. There are possibilities to hire bikes and go walking which we could not do due to lack of time. Both dinner and breakfast were good. The room was particularly comfortable and a lot of care and effort put into the outdoor seating area with lots of colourful flowers etc. The weather was cold and wet for our short stay so we could not sit out. However there was a pleasant lounge with board games and a great view of the Fjord. Overall an excellent place to stay.
