Great location for a wedding we were attending, lots of parking, comfy bed and great shower! The room was beautifully decorated too. The wedding was an early start, so the room wasn’t ready, but they took our bags to the room, and left the key in the door for us as all the staff had gone home when we arrived after the celebrations.

No way to leave the key safely when checking out early (approx 8am) - a key box or something would be useful

Friendly staff and attractive accommodation. The location is perfect for breaking the journey from Newcastle to the south coast. The evening meal was very nice too.

WE WERE HUGELY DISSAPPOINTED TO FIND THERE WAS A MUSIC FESTIVAL ON THE 2ND NIGHT OF OUR STAY WHICH WAS VERY LOUD AND MADE SLEEP NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE.IF WE HAD BEEN INFORMED WE COULD HAVE MADE ALTERNATIVE ARRANGEMENTS. WE WERE ALSO PROMISED AN EARLY CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST DELIVERED TO OUR ROOM ON THE FOLLOWING MORNING AS WE HAD AN EARLY START. NO BREAKFAST WAS FORTHCOMING.

Lovely well designed room with high standard finishing touches. Staff were welcoming and food at the pub was excellent. I’d definitely recommend and stay again.

We loved everything about The Falcon Inn. The location was perfect for an event at Donington Park. All the staff were kind and helpful. The room was perfect and the food was excellent.

The room was really well equipped and beautifully decorated. Hosts were friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious.

Due to the heatwave, the kitchens were serving a limited menu and the room was so hot.

Need to note that the kitchen is closed on Monday mornings so no cooked breakfast. This is not apparent on Booking.com wbsite, the rate is for bed and breakfast Apparently a continental breakfast should have been provided but it was not delivered, dissapointing after such a great two night stay.

Booked room on ground floor but was given upstairs room. Very hot during stay and with being upstairs, hardly any fresh air entered room as windows were small period type. There was a fan in room but it only circulated the hot air therefore spent whole weekend sweating!

The temperature at 35 degrees was not the hotels fault

We booked Falcon Inn because we were flying from East Midlands Airport on Download Festival Wkend so all cheap standard hotel rooms were booked or stupid prices. What a find, staff were friendly and our room was beautiful, really handy to EM Airport, took us 9mins early Sunday morning we will definitely stay here in future n will recommend to our friends that also fly from EM.

Little things missing like milk in the room so black tea or coffee. We ate in the pub, food was very good but waited half our hour to be served drinks and 50 mins for food. Not enough staff on. Bedside light kept turning itself off after 5 mins, very annoying.

We stayed for a nearby wedding. The Falcon was the perfect overnight stay for us. The staff were exceptionally friendly and couldnt have been more helpful.

The staff were very helpful, they quickly cleaned our room so we could check in early. Excellent breakfast too.

Would like a mirror in the actual bedroom as there was no where to blow dry hair or apply make up apart from the bathroom

Beautifully decorated, comfortable bed. The lady who checked me in was really friendly and helpful.

The room was really hot due to the weather, would have been nice if the fan was on and curtains closed a little to help with the heat.

Lovely country pub with beer garden. Friendly staff and serving good food. Rooms were set behind the pub and beer garden in a quiet location. Attractive converted original buildings with parking situated outside the accommodation. Very clean rooms.

Our room was slightly dated but it’s possible that they are in the process of refurbishing the accommodation as our friend was upgraded to a recently beautifully decorated room.

Booking.com advertised the booking with breakfast included however that was not the case.

The rooms were very comfortable and quiet, which was exactly what we needed. All the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The food was gorgeous and fantastic value. I will have no qualms about rebooking or recommending to others.

Appalling continental breakfast, brought to room. No cutlery, no crockery. Stale croissants, plain bread, no butter . One packet cereal fof 2, one orange. Reviews were great but not up to any standards we recognised as good.

Loved the bedroom layout. (Room 11) Mirror above the dressing table with seat was excellent for getting ready. (Not many places provide this practicality for ease of make up & drying hair) Lovely to have an additional seating area with table so not just having to drink tea whilst sitting on the bed. Lovely restaurant in which we had a wonderful evening meal with great service.

Pleased we asked for an upstairs room beforehand as a couple of the downstairs rooms have French doors near the bed, which don’t seem as private and didn’t have any mirrors over the dressing table areas so a bit more impractical.

The room was spacious, well equipped and well lit with bags of character. Parking was located immediately outside and the room was only a minutes walk through the beer garden to the pub and restaurant. I ate at the pub 3 nights and enjoyedf the food. The staff were very friendly and efficient.

My only criticism would be the the apparent absence of a bedside light which made lighting a little less convenient but easily rectified.

The Falcon Inn is a lovely Inn/pub with great staff, great food and a really lovely atmosphere. The food matched the menu exactly, so you actually got what you thought you were getting, the drinks choice was extensive and the room was luxurious. Everything was perfectly clean in the room, we couldn't ask for more.
