Uns hat der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die tolle Lage direkt neben dem Fluss, dem Tempel und den Märkten. Zudem war das Personal ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Das Badezimmer ist insgesamt sehr dunkel gehalten. Da das Licht am Spiegel nicht ausreicht, ist die Beleuchtung zum Schminken oder Rasieren leider zu schwach.

La posizione sul RiverSide è perfetta. Il Theatre Residence può essere il punto di riferimento per chi vuole immergersi in un quartiere di local vero e non turistico. Comodo per accedere ai trasporti fluviali per muoversi facilmente in Bangkok

La colazione può essere migliorata. Per noi europei è sopratutto italiani qualche buona brioches in più non guasterebbe

La posizione è perfetta, vicino si può prendere il traghetto che ti porta sull'altra sponda dove c'è il palazzo reale ed il costo del trasporto è davvero irrisorio, oltre ad evitare smog e traffico, vicino che un piccolo mercatino con cibo e souvenir, la piscina è molto carina e la gentilezza del personale impagabile.

Posizione molto carina, vicino a un mercato e comoda per raggiungere il centro, 10 minuti dal palazzo reale, basta prendere il traghetto da 30 baht. Colazione fenomenale, molte pietanze per colazione in stile asiatico (noodles, riso, verdure, zuppe) e colazione dolce. Carina la piscina e lo staff molto disponibile. Letto comodo e camera grande. C'è anche un laboratorio per bambini nel pomeriggio. Inoltre l'albergo si impegna anche per la comunità locale, una volta a settimana rende disponibile la piscina ai bimbi del quartiere

Unica pecca è stato il rumore molto forte, la nostra stanza era nel lato confinante con la scuola elementare e dalla mattina presto c'era la confusione dei bambini e delle maestre che sgridavano

Emplacement idéal au bord du fleuve chao praya. A 20 minutes de marche de Wat Arun et 5 minutes d'un petit temple situé juste en face du grand palais royal! Petit-déjeuner très correct au bord du fleuve.

Het niveau van de keuken van het restaurant was teleurstellend. Het ontbijt was erg lekker, maar het diner dat we bij aankomst deden was echt niet lekker, we hadden nochtans de Thaise klassiekers besteld. Dan kan je veel lekkerder eten op het marktje om de hoek. Jammer want het was een waanzinnig mooie setting langs de rivier!

Genau das richtige Hotel zum Start der Asien-Reise. Klasse Lage am Fluss und am Wang-Lang-Markt. Hotel mit Geschichte (ehemals Theater, hierzu gibt es ein paar Erläuterungen und Objekte). Sehr freundliches Personal.

La posizione è ottima per visitare la città imperiale e i luoghi di culto del centro storico, vicinissimo al traghetto che in un minuto porta sull’altro lato. La colazione è molto buona e anche il ristorante annesso. Bella la piscina e, in generale tutto molto curato. Dietro all’hotel c’è quartierino carino.

I loved this hotel. Excellent value for money. We were looking for something nice but close to the Grand Palace and found this one. It is very spacious, and there is a ferry 2-3 min walk from the hotel that works until 18 and it's like 5 baht to get to the other side where the Grand Palace is. There is also a market right around the corner and also a few min walk to the nearest 7/11. They have a restaurant right next to the hotel and the breakfast is included in the price. We took the poolside view room on the ground floor and it was great. The smoking area was just a few feet away from the room. It has a small minibar (chips, drinks in the fridge), a lot of storage space, big screen tv, nice and spacious shower and a small terrace in front of the room (and right next to the pool that is opened until 19). They offer laundry service as well. As far as parking goes, they have a small parking lot for maybe 4 - 6 cars. The atmosphere was great and the staff was very helpful and friendly. As far as we could tell everything was clean and the staff came to make our room every day and replace everything that was needed (toilet paper, new towels...). There was no noise during the night, but since there is a school nearby during the day you can hear kids from the smoking area only. If I would have to say anything negative about the property it would be the shutter blinds in the room. They are a bit of drag to close and navigate and don't really blackout the room so people might be able to see inside. The blackout/roll out kind would be a better choice for the ground floor next to the pool. Hope this helps if you plan on staying here but I would recommend.

Umfangreiches Frühstück (wenn auch nicht alle Produkte in gleicher Qualität), schöner Pool (wenn auch etwas flach), freundlicher Service (allerdings gelegentlich etwas unpersönlich), sehr modernes Zimmer ohne Mängel, tolle Lage in der Nähe von Wassertaxi und Wang Lang Markt.

Buchung eines Early-Check-in war trotz Verfügbarkeit nicht möglich, nur spontan (aber dafür ohne Extrakosten).

Location and restaurant breakfast!

Great location for sightseeing, close to ferry port which allows easy access to many attractions or to get to the BTS transport system. Bustling market a few minutes walk, and plenty of places to eat and drink within easy walking distance. We stayed for 4 nights at the beginning of our trip and decided to stay for a further 4 nights at the end. Nice, big, clean room… lovely pool, great breakfast - which is by the river. Would definitely recommend.

Nous avions réservé une suite avec vue sur le fleuve, dont l’emplacement était agréable. En revanche, nous avons été un peu déçus par le niveau sonore assez présent ainsi que par les persiennes en bois qui laissaient passer beaucoup de lumière dès le matin, ce qui a quelque peu nui à notre confort et à la qualité du sommeil. Par ailleurs, notre expérience du petit-déjeuner a été décevante. Un matin, nous sommes arrivés à 10h15 alors que le service se terminait à 10h30. À peine installés, un membre du personnel nous a indiqué de manière assez abrupte qu’il ne nous restait que quelques minutes pour nous servir. Quelques minutes plus tard, le buffet était entièrement débarrassé et même les cafés nous ont été facturés séparément, alors que le service venait tout juste de se terminer. Nous avons surtout regretté le manque de souplesse et d’amabilité dans la façon dont la situation a été gérée. Enfin, lors d’un moment de détente à la piscine, des travaux étaient en cours à proximité. Outre les nuisances sonores, les ouvriers intervenant sur le toit surplombaient directement l’espace des transats, ce qui ne favorisait pas vraiment une atmosphère de repos et d’intimité.

C’est ma seconde fois dans cet établissement et j’aime tout. L’équipe très professionnelle, accueillante et souriante et toujours à l’écoute ; l’emplacement en face du palais royal et au bord de la rivière. Le confort de l’hôtel sans oublier le quartier très animé autour avec un magnifique temple, un marché, un embarcadère et le Wat Arun à 1km à peine.

The area around which it was located

The room is super basic, no central air conditioning or basic amenities in the bathrooms. As there was no central AC, the bathrooms were hot. No amenities like cream or any toiletries were provided.

Andra gången vi bor här. Lika bra även denna gång, fantastiska och stora rum med en riktigt skön säng. Frukosten är riktigt bra med många alternativ, även för oss västerlänningar. Restaurangen serverar väldigt vällagade rätter vid flodens kant med fantastisk utsikt. Serveringspersonalen är superba och lyhörda. Ett stort plus är hotellets placering i ett lugnt kvarter på ”andra sidan” floden med med båt så är du snabbt över och ”mitt i smeten” med alla sevärdheter.

Le non respect de la proposition de l'hotel (a l'ecrit dans la chatbox booking) d'annuler avant l'arrivée car la piscine allait etre en maintenance pendant notre sejour. La proposition de 2 repas offerts en compensation qui n'a pas été respectée sur place et a du etre finalement réglé. Dommage car hormis cet alea tout etait super.

Super séjour. Les chambres sont spacieuses. Le personnel est très attentionné et à l'écoute. Nous avons eu un souci de bruit avec notre chambre, la responsable nous a changé de chambre dans les 5 minutes. L'emplacement est parfait. Pas loin des temples principaux . Cela fait plusieurs fois que nous allons dans cet établissement

Sehr hellhörig leider. Wir hatten das Poolzimmer und haben alle Gäste heimkommen hören. Die Türen bieten kaum Schutz vor der Lautstärke!

The hotel really celebrated its local history and culture which made it a unique experience which we enjoyed. The staff were incredibly helpful with anything we required and made us feel incredibly welcome. Our rooms were comfortable and had all the amenities you could need. The hotel restaurant was also incredibly accommodating of my sister’s dietary requirements (gluten and lactose intolerant) this made the stay even more enjoyable.

The hotel was lovey and close to the grand palace. It was also nice to be on the river away from busy noisy Bangkok however, we didn’t really find much else to explore in that local area. That being said we were there for a limited time and recovering from jet lag for most of our short stay.

Die Nähe zu den Tempel sowie die freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter, das Hotel ist abseits von Party und Nachtclubs deshalb für Leute die Kultur Land und Leute kennen lernen wollen eine Empfehlung .

Die Unterkunft war sehr zentral gelegen.

Leider war das Frühstück etwas einfach und auf dem Zimmer gab es keine Möglichkeit einen Kaffee oder Tee zu kochen

Love Location

This is a beautiful hotel right on the riverfront and next to a bustling market. It’s tucked away down a narrow street off the main road, and it’s so interesting just strolling around the local neighbour and seeing traditional low-rise houses - this isn’t central Bangkok with its glitzy skyscrapers; you get to experience a slower side of life. For some visitors it might be too far from the bustle, but it’s ideal if you want somewhere peaceful and more local. You can take a ferry across the river (2 minute journey) for 4.5 THB and from there walk easily to the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and further afield. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. We didn’t have a view but there was still a lot of natural light. Really loved having a separate walk-in storage area where we could put our suitcases out the way. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well. We didn’t spend much time at the hotel itself but the decorative touches - old costumes and masks from various theatre productions - were fascinating. The main reception area is architecturally beautiful, too!

As a vegan/vegetarian travelling duo, unfortunately the breakfast was very limited. This was a shame, as it’s so easy to get great plant-based food in Thailand. Some more vegetable dishes would have been appreciated as all the hot options were meat/fish. We used the smart tv in the room after getting back one evening but it took a long time to sort out - the hotel had to send someone to connect it to the internet and add an attachment so we could access Netflix. After a long day exploring we just wanted to relax and this was a bit of a faff. The WiFi in the room was also quite patchy and didn’t always work.

Lovely hotel near a market and ferry stop. Polite staff, modern clean rooms. Breakfast was also very good.

Hôtel très bien situé au bord du fleuve et à proximité de nombreux sites (temples, marchés) Chambres spacieuses, literie très confortable. La piscine est appéciable après une journée de ballade dans Bangkok.

Accès pas toujours facile pour les taxis (quartier souvent saturé et rues étroites) Le service de blachisserie est cher en comparaison des prix pratiqués sur Bangkok pour le même service.

This is a no-frills place that is practical and convenient. The hotel is tucked away from the main road yet is close to two water taxi stations - 5 min walk either way. Breakfast was good - the omelet station was much appreciated while the variety of other breakfast food could be larger. The verandah of the restaurant has some outdoor seating to enjoy the view of the river and sunrise. Once a water monitor (a giant lizard) walked along the wall of the verandah :) We were given very good ideas for excursions by the tour desk at the reception.

The windows of our room were facing a school which was just 6-10 meters away, so it was impossible to sleep after 7am during weekdays because the kids were extremely noisy.

We stayed here as part of an Intrepid tour. Fabulous location with two options of piers to get ferry over to the tourist attractions. One taking you right to the Grand Palace and Wat Pho area. Great breakfast and food/drinks options nearby. Sitting right by the river for lovely views. Wang Lang market just around the corner. Staff very helpful and room clean and good size. Pool great for a dip after a warm day exploring. Very reasonable price for quiet but very handy location for seeing all the sights.

Modernes stylisches Hotel. Sehr große Zimmer. Für uns ist die Lage perfekt. Straßenmarkt und Chao praya ganz nah. Und nachts sehr ruhig.

We arrived at The Theatre Residence after an 11 hour flight, nearly 2 hours to get through the new TRAC registration, immigration and customs followed by an hour’s drive through a very busy Bangkok. It was so wonderful when we arrived at the hotel and the reception team - Pop, Film and Pat were able to organise a ready room AND make it available straight away as a complimentary gesture. We are pretty exhausted from our trip and the friendly welcome, refreshing drink, cold towel and “going the extra mile” has made the start of our holiday very special. Thank you to all of you for your professionalism and consideration.

Excellent location. New to Bangkok so had no idea of where to stay. We got lucky. Great location. Easy access to everywhere. Market next door and and next to ferry to cross the river. Only 4.5 baht. Great restaurant on the river. I would highly recommend this place to any first time travellers who don't know where to start looking.

Personnel gentils mais pas suffisamment formés. Niveau d’anglais insuffisant.Impossible de faire réserver un taxi pour une heure donnée ( ils appellent quand vous arrivez pour le prendre!) donc risque d’être en retard. Procédure de check out absurde ( ils faut attendre qu’ils aillent vérifier dans votre chambre que tout est ok )

The location is excellent. Hotel staff excellent. Breakfast excellent, with great variety for every palette to enjoy overlooking the riverfront. A little quiet oasis in which to relax. Near street markets, river ferries, lovely restaurants and a lovely local temple.

Perfectly situated in the centre of Bangkok

Hotel moderne, chambre classique grande et confortable. Hall de réception magnifique Mais surtout, une situation de rêve : - à 10h mn’ à pied du palais royal en utilisant un des 2 ferry pour traverser le fleuve. - en plein dans un quartier typique entre un temple et son école et un marché local très animé sans trop de touristes avec les restaurants donnant sur le fleuve Le vrai Bangkok !!

S'il faut trouver quelque chose, le petit déjeuner est un peu basique

This is a lovely hotel right next to the Chai Phraya river, and right on the other side of the main attractions like the Grand Palace. It was just close enough to the main attractions and yet far enough to be tranquil and not be in the super busy areas. Their service and courteous behavior is absolutely top notch. Breakfast buffet was excellent and you get to enjoy it sitting right by the river. And when we notified them of the lack of vegetarian hot breakfast options in the buffet, they made two sumptuous vegetarian dishes just for us. Room/suite was very well appointed with all the amenities and exceptionally clean. Highly recommend it.

La localisation de cet hôtel est parfaite avec un petit bébé. Le quartier est vivant la journée et calme le soir tout en ayant suffisamment de restaurants! Il y a peu de touristes ce qui le rend très typique. Nous avons aussi beaucoup aimé cet établissement, très bon petit déjeuner, personnel très gentil, piscine parfaite, proche du fleuve! Bref, je recommande!
