The food was exceptional, genuine quality each morning and night. We also really enjoyed the private spa's, it felt like such a treat, very relaxing after a day exploring the beautiful area.

We had a wonderful stay at Asan Kotonami. The food was truly exceptional, and we especially appreciated the effort the team made to surprise us with something new at dinner every evening. Each meal felt thoughtful, creative, and beautifully prepared. Combined with the peaceful atmosphere and onsen, it made our stay very special. Highly recommended!

다카마쓰만 10번 방문한 한국인 관광객입니다! 아산고토나미는 두번째 숙박인데 정말 이 근처에 이 만한 료칸없어요 ㅜㅜ 가이세키 너무 맛있고 직원분들도 너무 친절하고 온천 즐기면 산의 주인이 된 기분입니다! 가심비로 꼭 방문해보는걸 추천드려요! 고토히라 신사 관광가는 김에 들리시면 절~대 후회안할거에요 강추입니다!!

Just want to say thank you 😊 Staff were incredible and really did their best preparing onigiri 🍙 for our hike up Mts Tsurugi We loved our room with the onsen intergrated we spent every moment we could there, layout outstanding. They even have a wonderful spot for star gazing Dinner was thoughtfully served and of good local quality, service exceptional.

This place was absolutely gorgeous, and the staff tried to fulfill any needs that we had. My friend, who I was traveling with, was recently diagnosed with celiac disease, and they did their best to tweak the menu so that she could eat without any problem. The onsen was amazing, too, with different outdoor baths and sauna. Sadly, we just stayed there for a night, but it was an experience we won't forget.

Un très beau séjour à l’Asan Kotonami. Le onsen privatif dans la chambre était un vrai plus, on en a profité à chaque moment de la journée. Les équipements étaient impeccables et le personnel toujours attentionné et souriant.

Un vrai bémol en revanche sur la restauration. Les assiettes arrivaient glacées, visiblement sorties du frigo, préparés trop a l’avance. Les plats étaient sans aucun goût, l’assaisonnement très fade. On n’a quasiment rien pu manger, ce qui est dommage vu le standing de l’hotel.

We loved this place the room type A with the private bath was amazing great value although they should change the wooden area of the bath as is looking a bit old, staff was incredibly attentive and the meals were unbelievable just with the meals you make up for the price of the place. It is a bit in the middle of nowhere but they have all you can need there

Wonderful hideaway and wonderful food! They have the most amazing view to the waterfall from one of the Onsen. We were picked up for free by the hotel and also dropped off at the train station again.

시코쿠 중앙 카가와현 깊은 계곡에 위치한 Asan Kotonami 료칸 맑은 계곡 소리를 더한, 가족 휴양에 더할 나위 없는 료칸으로 무엇보다도 객실 내부에 프라이빗한 오픈 히노끼탕에서는 24시간 따듯한 온천수가 계속 나왔고, 조식, 석식 모두 별도의 룸에서 정갈한 가이세키 코스 요리가 제공되었습니다.

대중 교통편이 거의 없다보니, 렌트카 이용이 필수인 료칸으로 접근성이 아쉬운 대신, 휴양을 목적으로 한다면 이 또한 장점일 수 있습니다.

직원분들 친절하시고 식사도 좋았고 방 컨디션도 좋았습니다 온천하면서 바라보는 폭포도 멋있었고 다 좋았습니다

The hotel is surrounded by nature. The hot spring and the restaurant meal are excellent! It's an unforgettable experience.

料理が美味しく、施設が綺麗で清潔だった。また、冷蔵庫にある全てのドリンク、アルコールが全て無料だった。

This is a wonderful place. Beautiful location, fantastic mix of traditional inn with modern amenities. Hot springs soaking pools are wonderful and the food is fabulous!

Utrolig smukt og helt gennemført indføring i Japansk Onsen og gastronomi. - også børnevenligt. Flotte værelser og deres sky-view er magisk om aftenen.

Modernes, trotzdem traditionelles Hotel mit sehr freundlichem und aufmerksamem Personal und hübscher Umgebung. Der Privat-Pool war genial, die Ausstattung war den 5 Sternen gemäss perfekt. Frühstück und Abendessen waren unerwartet umfangreich (jeweils 7-10 Gänge mit regionalen Speisen) und sehr lecker.

Exceptional reception and facilities. The private onsen was definitely worth it. Rooms beautifully designed. Excellent food.

Some of the wooden parts of the private bath would need a brush up. Small thing but at this level it sticks out. Also, the restaurant service needs some improvement. It felt very rushed at times, like we were still on the previous course when the waiter brings the next course. This also happened at breakfast, where you just started to eat and constantly they bring new dishes. A meal in a place like this should feel like a calm, serene moment, not one where you are rushed or interrupted constantly.

The dinner was a surprise and exceeded expectation, The room was modest and I should have booked one of the cabins.

I was disappointed that we weren't allowed in the onsen due to tattoos, I completely understand the cultural thing with tattoos in Japan and would totally respect that but the hotel had no Japanese staying. We did do the private onsen but this was at a cost, also we couldn't book a massage on day of arrival. I thought it would be more of a spa facility but ended up being quite restricted.

Tout ! Nous avions un bungalow extraordinaire, d'un calme absolu, avec un confort digne d'un cinq étoiles. Les onsen sont magnifiques et les repas divins. Ajouté à ça, un petit saké conseillé par le serveur et la soirée est plus que parfaite. Sans oublier un coin aménagé sur le toit pour regarder les étoiles quand le ciel est clair. Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour.

The onsen spa was absolutely beautiful, especially with the view of the waterfalls. The private spa rooms were beautiful too, with an amazing view of the river. The food was amazing too. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.

This hotel was wonderful and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Japan who wants an authentic and luxurious Japanese ryokan experience. The staff were welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious. The facilities were perfect.

The property is beautiful and nestled in the hillside with a stream flowing past. All of the beautiful onsen baths are wonderful and the food was also excellent. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Very comfortable public spaces to relax.

Das Zimmer 310 war sehr gut. Die Aussicht hat uns begeistert. Der Onsen auf der Terrasse war schön gelegen, grosszügig und offen, außerdem auch eine Liegemuschel. Das Zimmer 214 hat deutlich mehr Raum zur Verfügung gehabt. Der öffentliche Onsen war groß und im Waschbereich war alles vorhanden.

Das Zimmer 310 war etwas klein. Das Zimmer 214 hatte keine gute Aussicht und ein zu kleinen Onsen. Es gab auch durch eine kaputte Pumpe Geräusche im Zimmer. Es war schade das die Mitarbeiter kein gutes Englisch konnten. Es war schwierig sich zu verständigen. Mit Tätowierung ist es nicht gestattet ins öffentliche Onsen zu gehen.

Todo correcto, un excelente onsen.

Importante, no permite entrar con tatuajes. Tenerlo en cuenta porque si no os tocará contratar un baño privado y os arruinara la experiencia.

Beautiful room with view to mountains, lovely onsen

The shuttle bus to Kotohira only leaves once a day - making an early departure difficult for foreign travellers without a car. This was not clear in the facility information about free shuttle service. We would have appreciated information in English about walks and things to do etc in local area.

We had an amazing time at Asan Kotonami. Firstly, the staff were all incredibly kind and welcoming. There was a warmth from the staff that put us at ease and we really appreciated everyone's efforts to communicate & explain things in english, as my japanese is extremely limited. The room was great in terms of facilities and amenities and the bed as well as the private in-room onsen were of very high quality. I went to the women's public onsen and really enjoyed the rotenburo by the river! Both our evening meal and our breakfast were very tasty and showcased the regional specialities really well. We would happily return anytime and were sad to leave.

I loved the scenery and the setting of the property. It was very easy to relax and the staff were all very professional, helpful and friendly. The onsen was very large and offered different onsen temps, dry sauna and cold plunge. They had both outdoor and indoor baths. They also had a very lovely foot bath (don’t miss this). We booked the breakfast and dinner package and thank goodness we did because the hotel is VERY isolated and there is nothing around the Inn within walking distance except for a small udon shop that is 10 minutes away on foot. The breakfast and kaiseki dinners were fabulous and the dining staff were so wonderful. It was also very nice that they offer free shuttle service to and from the hotel to the train station.

We initially booked the Satoyama Hut which offered a nice balcony, but being that we were traveling with my elderly mother she had a very difficult time walking up the incline to the Hut and it was a considerable distance from the main lobby, dining and Onsen. Luckily, we were staying two nights, so on the second night we switched to a room within the Main Building which had a private spring tub. I feel like the “Hut” rooms were a bit dated and older, the “Main Building” rooms were more modern and updated. I feel it was well worth the higher room rate.

Hotel was very clean and the staff were professional and very helpful. We had visited this hotel a year ago and this was our second visit since we had enjoyed so much. Excellent onsen facility and was very relaxing.

It is remotely located and might not be convenient if using public transportation. We thought the room was a bit too small for two twin beds. There weren’t much space remaining for comfortably sit and enjoyed the Mountain View from the room.

性價比超好的住宿！坐落於山谷小溪旁邊，環境極美。獨立屋有露台空間，可寫意地感受森林的清新空氣。早上會有新鮮生牛奶送到屋內。溫泉設施也很好，有幾個池和桑拿房，新淨而且整潔。而且一泊兩吃的晚餐和早餐都很好味，嚐到主廚的心思，像精緻的法國餐般逐道菜式（是日式料理）上菜，可細味食材的真味，而且不會令人過飽而浪費食物。

Every single detail was phenomenal! This was the most special stay with exceptional onsens, food, design and incredible staff. I'll dream about this place forever.

The most restful place with beautiful spring bath, phenomenal food, fantastic service and not to forget very stylish interior and magical surrounding. I could go on with the list of compliments but maybe you should just see it for yourself. There are also electric bikes that one can rent. Reservation required.

風呂場の蛇口の水圧が弱く屋内の温度が低くく寒かった

丁寧な対応で施設の雰囲気も素敵でした。お風呂から滝が見えてゆっくり癒やせました。晩御飯の準備、配膳を担当してくれたじゅんぺいさんと楽しく食事出来て満足しました。 料理美味しかったです。 今度はペットを連れて泊まりたいです。

エレベーターの壁にホコリがついていたのが気になったかな。
