The room was sparkling clean and very nicely decorated. Plenty of towels and a small fridge as well as nice blinds, air conditioning, convenient lighting and comfortable seating. Lovely property leading to a dock and small beach although it wasn’t clear whether the dock was for general use or just for the adjacent cottage.

Fantastic cozy little spot! 20 minutes drive to Lunenburg/Mahone Bay and more. Mark and everyone we met were fantastic. Great hub to stay and visit the local areas. Lots of things to do, but also perfect for relaxing. Place was spotless and great decor. Can’t say enough great things!

This motel reflects a lot if care and attention to detail by the owners. You can sit outside near the water and enjoy the tranquility. The rooms are clean and have an artistic flare. There is a full kitchenette. There is a convenient store a 2 minute walk. Otherwise you have to drive to Bridgewater for restaurants or groceries. A very enjoyable experience.

Softest beds ever!! Room was so cozy and beautifully decorated. Staff was very friendly. Loved that it was on the water and we even met new friends around the fire in the evening. More seating by the beach would be lovely. Looking forward to coming back again someday!

We had such a lovely time. The place was beautiful I do wish we had managed to get the one right on the water so If anyone is looking to stay here book fast. The lady who greeted us was very friendly and took us to our room. We sat on the deck chairs looking out to the water and someone else staying their was building a camp fire. It was so picturesque. Could not have asked for more, well mabye the room right down on the water.

This place is absolutely charming! and right on the LaHave river. My boyfriend and I couldnt have found a better place than here. The grounds are very well kept and the cottages are so nicely decorated and cozy. The details from decor to coffee creamer in the fridge were impressive! We felt like we were right at home. It was such a nice treat to relax on the dock during the early evening and then sit around the fire chatting with the other guests. The host, Mark, is very personable and accommodating. We will definitely be staying here again! :)

Nondescript on the outside, cozy and lovely on the inside, and set in beautiful surroundings. Friendly staff. What's not to like? :)

Most comfy bed, nice décor. A bit tired hotel but we are seeing improvements every time we stay. Wonderful view of the river.

Really nice appearance and I loved the décor. My only complaint is the mattress was terrible. We enjoyed our stay but we didn't have a good sleep.

I loved the Lighthouse Motel. It is a special place that was such an awesome surprise. All upgraded with a lovely bed and lovely bedding. Everything we needed! The Boathouse was the best. Stay here!!!

We were in the blue cottage with 2 rooms. To our surprise, It was tastefully decorated. 100% attention to detail. They thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. Super clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this place. Very peaceful. Person who greeted us was also jolly and helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Mark was most obliging and made sure that we had everything we required. His suggestions for outings and restaurants was superb. It was wonderful having a full sized fridge, a stove and other kitchen necessities right there. The beds were comfortable. We highly recommend this facility.

The Lighthouse Motel was perfect for us! Our room was lovely, with comfortable new beds. The spacious lawn running down to the river was perfect for watching the tides with a cup of tea, enjoying a bonfire or star gazing. A great spot for dogs to run, and kids to play. My granddaughter enjoyed the playground too. Our host, Marc, was welcoming and had prepared a helpful guide to local beaches and places to eat, which were easily reached by car. Even the convenience store and gas station, a few steps up the road, was a friendly place to get icecream or refuel. The motel is utterly charming, and the service was excellent. Perfect!

This is truly a hidden gem not to be overlooked if you are in the area! I have to return to the states, but I’ll be back as quickly as I can! If y’all decide you need an Admin on property, I’ll send you my resume! Give Austin a hug and throw him his donkey for me!!

It was a wonderful stay. Had a relaxing time sitting by the river. The rooms was really homely with special touches like having scented candles. Lovely place run by great people - helpful guys.

Mark was absolutely wonderful! The property is in a fantastic location, great rates, beautiful property. We can't say enough great things about the place. The room was terrific! Wonderful ambiance...welcoming music for us when we went into our room - just about perfect! Thank you! There was only a small snag as we were in the middle of a heatwave, a few rooms didn't have AC, ours was one of them. Bless Mark though...he looked after us. Thank you SO MUCH! We will certainly be back when in the area again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Lighthouse. The owners were always available, the rooms were divine, service was fantastic.

This was such a gem of a place to stay! Beautifully decorated rooms, comfortable beds and amazing pillows. The sheets were crisply cleaned and the towels were soft. To top it off, the view was delightful and the service was exceptional. We arrived later in the evening, but I called ahead and was easily accommodated. I HIGHLY recommend this motel.

The Lighthouse Motel was very nice..We were greeted by Marc ,he was very welcoming, pleasant and informative.The rooms were clean ,comfortable and the decor was .nice.The property was well maintained with a lovely veiw over looking the LaHave River.We.were there during the very warm weather in July and our room did not have air conditioning but we were supplied with fans to maintain comfort.We would definitely recommend The Lighthouse Motel.

We stayed for 1 night. Loved the motel. The owner was very friendly, and informative. Only thing would be little to no hot water to shower, and no air conditioning.

Absolutely loved our stay here and will definitely stay again.Bridgewater is in a lovely area of the province and this hotel is in the ideal location.The owners started with an old building and upgraded it to perfection,the decor in each room has been done with a modern flare while keeping some of the original aspects such as the wide pine plank flooring.Loved it.

Our family of 4 had a great time at this stylish and impeccably clean motel. We stayed in a unit with a full kitchen and it was fully stocked. The decor is beautiful - a lot of thought has gone into the layout as well. The grounds were much larger than I expected. There is a lovely private beach as well as a dock, and plenty of seating spread out around the grounds. My kids enjoyed the play structure. Our host, Marc, was so accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend this very special motel.

Amazing area to go for a wonderful mini vacation. The grounds are lovely with chairs in various areas to enjoy the sun or shade and watch the sailboats. The rooms have been beautifully upgraded with some unique pieces to add to the overall experience. The rooms are comfortable and contain everything you need to feel at home. The staff go above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable. They even mailed out a book that I forgot while staying there.

Owner of the hotel was helpful and very personable. Works hard to ensure his guests enjoy their stay and provides excellent suggestions for restaurants and day trip destinations. Room decor was eclectic and fun. Beds were comfortable and the property is beautiful.

We had a great stay at Lighthouse Motel--it was cozy, scenic and comfortable. We had access to waterfront and yard, fire pit, and barbecue. Owner was very helpful and made our stay very pleasant. Highly recommended!

Expected ho-hum, strip motel, unremarkable in any way. NOT THE CASE! Beautiful setting, right on the water, tastefully decorated, welcoming host. Small upgrade for the "boathouse rooms" were well worth it. Recommend highly.

It was a good stay and the place was very clean. The television didn't offer many stations and the shower was just okay, didn't spray well.

Very clean. Very comfortable.Excellent location to travel around the area. Only thing it advertised as 15 units with kitchenettes. We only had a very small fridge&.a coffee maker. Would go again ,love to get a unit in the Boat House. Lovely sitting area over looking the lake. Too bad weather did not cooperate,but no control on Mother Nature. Excellent quant motel

If you are looking for an affordable stay at a quiet motel, this is it. We would have appreciated more shelf space and better water pressure in the bathroom, as well as a/c in the room. On the upside, there is a lovely dock with tables and chairs, and even a little beach on the property. Overall, we were very happy with our choice.

Mark was accommodating and friendly, room was visually appealing, fresh and clean with attention to detail. As advertised, there is no air conditioning in the motel rooms so it does get quite warm on hot days! Very accommodating and plan to return and get something on the water as the property was beautiful .

The Motel has been updated, very cozy and felt like home. The owner was very friendly and helpful with suggestions of area sites to see. The hotel does not have air conditioner in the rooms. The owner said that was on the list to do soon. We would definitely stay again.

The room was beautifully decorated and beds where clean but it's the only room that is in the basement and they had repaired a leak in the bathroom but it still had marks where it was damp under bathroom tiles which encouraged sowbugs to come out at night. Found 4 when I got up to use in the night. Ugh!! But I would rent any other room I'm sure!! Owners where no where to be found next morning to share this with unfortunately!!!
