Reviewed Sep 18, 2026Very friendly and comfortable, superb staff and good value for money. The rooms were perfectly functional and well-catered-for hostel dorms, not super crammed in like some. The free drink and pasta dish on arrival was a really nice touch. The breakfast buffet is excellent and very much well worth the price- especially compared to the stereotypical ultra-basic Italian breakfast.
Not a lot- I was very happy with it.

I really liked the bar, I had just came back from a football game at nearly midnight and all shops were closed and I really needed a drink and I was able to pay for Fanta at reception which was a lifesaver. Keys for lockers at no charge. Bed is comfy and the toilet and shower was joined onto the room. All staff I encountered were friendly.
No curtains for the bed.

Los lockers un poco pequeños, no entran los carri on dentro. Además, el aire acondicionado funcionaba pero no enfría bien, en las camas de arriba era cálido. Las escaleras de las camas son un incómodas y altas.

Reviewed Sep 9, 2026El lugar esta bien ubicado, a unos 15 minutos caminando del Duomo y de la galeria, hay estacionamiento de bicis al frente. hay que llevar tu propio candado, y pagar un fee de turista ( Como en la mayoria de los hostales en Italia, pero es economico). Hay desayuno buffet.

Reviewed Sep 7, 2026Segunda vez que vou a Milão me me hospedo no Babila e a estadia foi ótima, assim como da primeira vez. O café da manhã não está incluído no valor, porém o hostel é muito bem localizado e fica a 5 minutos de distância de um Carrefour e de cafeterias. Também fica próximo ao Duomo e à parte histórica, consegui fazer tudo andando. A distância maior é para a Stazione Milano Centrale, mas o ponto de metrô San Babila é pertinho e facilita o deslocamento.

Кімнати доволі просторі, ванні кімнати чисті, постіль свіжа та чиста. Також є шафки для особистих речей, що дуже зручно та додає відчуття безпеки. хочеться відзначити чудову терасу — дуже приємне місце для відпочинку! Загалом чудове місце з приємною атмосферою та дуже зручним розташуванням! 🥰

La limpieza es pésima, sobre todo en la cocina. Cubos de basura llenos y basura tirada en el suelo. Hubo un borracho en la cocina mientras cocinábamos y estuvo haciendo desastres. Bajé a informarlo a recepción y no hicieron nada al respecto, sólo dijeron que bajara a comer al bar, pero nadie tomó ninguna medida para sacarlo del hostel o al menos de la cocina común.

Sadly, the room smelled really bad, and someone was leaving dirty clothes and smelly shoes all over the floor. Not sure it was the fault of the hostel (beds were clean and comfy), but oh boy, not a pleasant experience. On a separate note, I was the only woman in an otherwise all-male room. At the very least it would be nice to have privacy curtains in such circumstances, don't know so many hostels don't have them. Thanks for considering.

Les principaux points négatifs sont l’absence d’eau chaude, l’eau étant parfois froide, ainsi que l’absence de coffre-fort dans la chambre.

I was surprised to pay another 6 euros for land tax I think it’s general in Milan because I went to eat somewhere they collected money for that too like 5 euros or so

The hostel wasn't very social at all. I imagine it was mostly due to everyone being on vacation and the city being empty in general. But also there wasn't really a nice, cozy common room where to meet others, except the bar on the ground floor which was often empty and the kitchen/terrace on the 3rd floor.

The hostel was really well located and super close to duomo. I really enjoyed my stay at Babila Hostel and will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Milano.

Reservamos una habitación doble con baño, la habitación estaba bien, pero el ruido era inaoportable, si escuchaba todo lo que hacían afuera en la cocina hasta la media noche, ruido música y cuando por fin creias que podías dormir el aire acomdicionado de la habitación se prendia y apagaba solo durante toda la noche y hacia un ruido insoportable. No tienes opcion de controlarlo tu mismo. Hablamos en la Recepcion y dijeron que no podían hacer nada, pedimos que nos dieran dos tarjetas de la habitación ya que estaríamos separados, nos dijeron que no se podía, un dia en e desayuno salio un jamon dañado y huevos verdes. La verdad por ese precio creo que puedes encontrar algo mejor

Meu quarto não estava pronto na hora do checkin, esperava mais do café da manhã e do local como um todo. Talvez algum dia já foi um lugar bem legal, porém percebe-se a falta de manutenção e cuidado com as coisas. As fotos são muito atrativas porém pessoalmente não corresponde 100% da verdade. Reviewed Aug 16, 2026Strategic location. I only stayed for few hours, perfect for resting for a bit and washing up. The people in my room maintain the cleanliness. Staff was helpful to call a taxi which will arrive under 5 min. There's an old elevator where you need to open and close the door manually, but it's very helpful if you travel with luggage.
Surrounding area was very quiet during the night. It's good for resting but be careful if you're walking by yourself.

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026Ubytovani skvele, hezka koupelna, dostatek toaletniho papiru, prostorny sprchovy kout. Postele pohodlne, klimatizace, cisto. Snidane dostacujici, sice bez zeleniny, ale vyborna michana vajicka a opecena slanina. Skvela poloha. V noci absolutni klid.

As moças da recepção são simpáticas e amigáveis, os rapazes não são muito amigáveis e nem um pouco simpáticos. O café da manhã é uma vergonha, se ainda fosse cortesia tudo bem, mais 6.90 euros para servir aquela mediocridade, o suco colocaram 1 caixinha e quando acabou fui pedir, colocaram suco que parecia ter saído do forno, aí me deram um copo de gelo. Vou dar uma sugestão, ou vocês oferecem um café da manhã de boa qualidade ou pelo menos não cobrem. E outra sugestão é dar um treinamento para os rapazes da recepção, simpatia e serem mais amigável.

Reviewed Aug 14, 2026À 20min à pied du Duomo. Tram/Bus à proximité. Bon accueil avec boisson de bienvenue. Grande chambre climatisée. Matelas confortable. Salle de bain privative grande.. Locker avec clé et lieu de stockage des bagages. Bar qui peut éviter d'aller en ville.
Odeur nauséabonde des canalisations dans la salle de bain. Pas de ménage d'une nuit à l'autre. Lit bruyant quand on bouge.

The staff were very friendly. However they seemed to lack of protocols to deal with racist costumers. When some crazy racists found faults in the dormitory and annoyed everyone else sharing the space, the staff were inexperienced in this situation.
