Yangshuo Mountain Nest Boutique Hotel

This is a quaint family-run business and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They assisted us with booking of driver, tickets to attractions, and were very accomodating. It felt like staying at a friend's home. Many thanks to Demi and family who runs the place!

Can't think of any.

Nice old building. Hot water , heater works well, bed comfortable. Room has a nice balcony looking at the field. Walkable distance to one of the pier of bamboo rafting. Local noodle for breakfast, or add money for the western breakfast.

Just little thing like Bathroom door can’t close properly. I read and saw photos about free dumpling class and maybe event for Xmas, however they said business is not busy after Covid, so no event for Xmas was organized.

Located in a quiet place of town. Convenient location to the biking activities near the Yulong River. Bikes were free to use and the host was very helpful with booking of all Yangshuo activities. Room was nice and big, although with no elevators. Cleanliness could be improved but it wasn't a huge issue (just some dust on the wall).

Nothing.

The staff was amazing, they were incredibly helpful throughout the whole stay, always available on WeChat and with recommendations for what to do around Yangshuo.

the customer service made our trip very convenient, and Demi went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed and wanted to do. The room and breakfast were also lovely and it was great value for money. Thank you for everything Demi

The place is located in countryside, very calm area. Great place to take a bicycle and visit nearby fields, villages and experience beautiful of yangshuo! Personnel is super friendly and helpful. Easy to communicate in English :) if you want to get some recommendations just ask and they organize and explain you everything! It was fantastic time!

Everything was fine

Absolutely amazing stay, I'm so grateful for Demi and her family who made sure my stay was comfortable and supported with anything I needed. Demi was very helpful recommending places to see and helping me book the necessary tour tickets. I had breakfast and a few dinners with them and the food was absolutely delicious. The location of the hotel was perfect, slightly outside the town and a short walk from the river, so ideal for a more relaxing stay. The view from the balcony was stunning, and I particularly enjoyed watching the sunset from there. I recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Yangshuo and I hope I can come back there one day 🥰

Beautifully appointed rooms with high windows, A/C, comfortable beds, and a fantastic English speaking host, Demi. We loved the “Western Breakfast” b/c after 2 weeks of continuous Chinese food we were really craving a break. Eggs, waffle, juice, coffee really hit the spot. I can also vouch for the Muesli over yogurt. The pizza is “different” but I still enjoyed. There is an enterprising coffee shop up the road serving espresso drinks with dogs and country western music. Take the hike to Moon hill.

This was the perfect place to adventure around the Karst Peaks and Yangshuo. Plenty of restaurants nearby, but we could have just enjoyed our room the whole time if we wanted - so relaxing and will situated, incredible view, and wonderful staff. The dumbwaiter is an especially charming touch!

The staff were very warm and welcoming, they helped us book a taxi on a national holiday when we couldn't find one at all ourselves. The location is perfect, beautiful views, a little outside yangshuo but very close to li river and countryside for biking /hiking. The room was beautifully decorated but the amenities were not very good. Our main shower head was broken and only the small sprayer was working. When we raised this, we were told to just use the small one - really not ideal. Additionally, the room comes with a bath tub but they didn't have anything bathing products (bubble bath etc) which dampened the experience.

Location is close to scenic Yu Long River area.

While the hotel looks beautiful with traditional Chinese architectural style, it is old and room is a little dusty.

All staff were very nice and the room was incredible! They were always ready to help us with tourism information and gave us some good tips. I highly recommend it you are staying in Yangshyo 🙌

Fantastic location and Xiao Bai was super helpful with arranging the transport for our group, giving tips etc. Yulong river is just around the corner - you can use bikes from the hotel for free, we had a very pleasant bike ride along the river, and a walk on another day. There are few cafes, snacks places around the hotel and along the river. You can also have a ride on bamboo raft! Yangshuo town just a short taxi ride

Excellent location in a quiet area near Yulong river

The room was lovely, but freezing cold. It would have been great if they’d turned on the heater before we’d arrived. Breakfast was great, refreshing to have food made to order rather than a buffet. Above all, the staff were superb. Very helpful and lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. They had a fire going in the reception that they let us sit at while we waited for breakfast.

The room was freezing! Thankfully, there were heaters and electric blankets on the beds. Couldn’t get hot water in the shower, but we didn’t ask for help either! It was a 20 minute ride to the town centre, so take that into account when booking

The hotel is very authentic, good location and clean. The breakfast was super good. Demi helped us A LOT and to be honest if it wasn’t for her our stay would’ve been different. She helped us in so many things!! She made our stay more enjoyable and more relaxing. Her daughter is absolutely adorable. I highly highly recommend this hotel.

Nothing everything was perfect

Good balcony, nice view, comfortable beds, very friendly staff, the girl at the reception speaks English.

It was very noisy because of a kind of a chimney nearby the hotel. The pillows were tough. You need to take a taxi to go to the center (20 min)

We spent 4 nights in a family suite room, The rooms were so comfortable with the great view of mountains ! Also, breakfast was good enough ! Demi (the hotel staff) she was so helpful for eveything ! She organized tours and found tickets to cruise line also her english was pretty good. I would suggest hotel to everyone!

Dami is a excellent manager. Shi is warm and professional, helped us arrange an ausome trip. We would stay again if visited Guilin! Thank you Daniel!

Demi, the host! She was wonderful and attended to all our needs. Her English is great so that really helped us a lot. The family room is spacious and has a wonderful view. The linens are particularly lovely.

Lack of sound proofing, it’s an old building so there are often noises from people moving around in other rooms. The building and rooms could do with updating and the shower in the family room wasn’t great.

I loved every bit of my stay. The hotel is situated a short ride from the hustle and bustle of Yangshuo, 20 minutes walking from a lovely promenade by Yulong River. You can admire Karst landscape from your room or rooftop terrace. My room was quiet, clean, and spacious. The beds were comfortable. But these are the owners who make the difference. I felt like their guests - they cooked for me, organized attractions, and advised me on what to see and what to eat. I really feel like I got to know Yangshuo pretty well during my stay, and I used every opportunity to understand it better.

Warm hospitality by Demi, the receptionist and host. She speaks English and was very helpful with our travel itineraries especially getting taxi for us.

The hotel is a bit far from the town center so getting a taxi back to the hotel was problematic. Fortunately, Demi was able to book a taxi for us

everything is wonderful. Staffs are polite, friendly, and kind. They served me a fresh fruit juice while waiting for check-in process and gave me a souvenir when checking out. They use Chinese and English. You can see Guilin Karst mountains from windows all day. Amenities perfect. The location is quiet and surrounded by nature but not too far from city and sightseeing spots.

perfect

Staff is very friendly and helpful. The small garden on the ground floor is a bonus!

Beautiful design, warm friendly staff, perfect location (not near west street), delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Nothing

Great location and scenery around. Amazing staff at the hotel willing to help with everything. One of them in particular, who speaks very good English :) I will definitely stay there again once I'm back in Yangshuo!

There was nothing not to like... everything was great!

Their service was great.

Beautiful property with lots of details with cultural reference, magnificent view of the mountains from our room (5th floor family room) and from balcony. Super friendly and helpful staff who helped book show tickets and places to visit. Definitely rent a scooter which make the trip even more authentic, and also Yangshuo is pretty congested and impossible to get a taxi or you stay in traffic in peak touristic season.

the Hotel employees or the best very easy to work with very friendly spoken. Very good English always there to help always with a smile really really helpful. The location being outside of the main city is really awesome if you are looking for a quiet nice night The mopeds that they rent there are the best things ever makes life and getting around so much easier Fridge is $30 a night. You are getting way more than your moneys worth as I mentioned the people there are awesome

Beautiful small hotel near Yangshuo. Demi was very helpful, gave us tips what to visit and we also appreciated the bicycle we could borrow, letting us to discover the region freely by ourselves. Delicious breakfast and very comfy bed.

The water pressure in the shower was a bit low.

Being outside of the hustle bustle of town was wonderful and it was only 5 minutes away. Best of all was the amazing attentiveness by manager Demi, who took care of everything for me about visiting local attractions and setting up my private tours..the only way to go. The bed was really comfy and the restaurant had excellent food of western and Chinese cuisine

I had 4 flights of stairs to walk up as the small elevator was only for the luggage

Will definitely come back to stay here again. The views, the people, the recommendations of going around town - absolutely perfect. Very nice restaurant and rooftop overlooking the karst mountains. Great breakfast too - good variety of western and chinese.

Great place, friendly staffs (speaking good english), amazing food. We came here with a toddler and enjoyed our long weekend ! If you want to escape big crowds in large resorts, that's the right location ;) Thanks to the crew of Mountain Nest ! Cheers 再见

Erica (the owner) and her team are superb! They really created a lovely stay from the moment we arrived to the time we had to depart.

Beautiful place and unrivalled hospitality. Enjoyed short stay. Staff are amazing.

Great place to wake up to mountains in the morning. A little far from where the action is but then if objective is to get away from the hustle and bustle, fits the bill. West street just a 15 min Didi ride away so small compromise. Wonderful little quaint place.

Nice traditional Chinese style accommodation with character. Didn’t have to lift a finger with luggage as staff took care of it all. They are very helpful in organizing transport, electric bikes/bicycle rentals & giving useful travel advice. The food served there is very nice too, love the orange duck we had for dinner.

Me and my girlfriend had the most amazing stay at this beautiful little hotel. The room was spotless and so beautifully put together, the service was amazing and the food from the restaurant was top notch. I had my birthday while I was there and the lovely ladies at reception even arranged a cake for me as a surprise! A truly magical stay that we could not recommend highly enough. Thanks so much!

Excellent service, hosto are very helpful. Very nice surprize with Chinese Dumplings class offered. Absolutely recommended.

They had a free dumpling making class which was wonderful. They cooked our dumplings after we made them and we had a free dinner. The staff was always extremely helpful and wonderful.

Wonderful stay at this beautifully designed boutique hotel. They pay attention to details of design, "cleanliness", and service. Yummy food that we didn't want to go anywhere else to eat, and very friendly, especially Tina and Erica. Sure is a hidden gem, very glad I found this place. Highly recommend!

It was a great place to stay for couple of nights, specially for a family of 5. The view is beautiful and is close to several beautiful spots (by renting a scooter). The food they serve in their restaurant is fantastic. The kids loved it.

Mountain Nest Was an excellent experience! It is located in the protected area of Yangshuo in a traditional village which means that your vehicle can only take you to the gate during the day and you will transfer onto an electric vehicle operated by the national park. Once inside the park, you can ride bikes or rent electric scooters to explore the area and beyond. Check in was smooth with fresh squeezed orange juice and all the staff are like family, going out of their way to anticipate your needs. They prepared an incredible cake for a birthday, collected our wallet that was left in another city, and are truly helpful. I would say that their transfer and tour costs are on the high side. The property is beautiful with amazing views, great garden, rooftop and gorgeous antique decoration. They helped upgrade us to a king size bed room as we had an issue with our shower door. They are worth the splurge as they are much better decorated and more comfortable than the standard rooms, even with a tub in the living area. If you prefer the hustle and bustle of a large city, West Street and Yangshuo is likely a more suitable option.

Although the place is a ways from downtown, and therefore you need a taxi to get there, the views of the hills are arresting! The staff is fantastic, they all speak very good English, and they are extremely helpful in booking activities and transportation for you. Moreover, the hotel has a restaurant with pretty good food. The only thing that could improve is the cleanliness of the bathroom. Overall, a very nice place, I totally recommend it.

I have nothing but good things to say about our 15 night stay at the Mountain Nest Hotel. Erica the English speaking manager went above and beyond with being very accommodating, generous with her time and extremely helpful in arranging trips for us. Rest of the staff Maria, Tina and Debi were also fantastic. The hotel was managed very efficiently, food was good, wifi worked well and everything was in good order. By the end if our stay we felt like we were leaving a family home. Definitely recommend this fine establishment

A great hotel with a nice restaurant

Yangshuo Mountain Nest was a relaxing haven. The staff took care of our every need and made lots of helpful suggestions.

I stayed with a friend in a family room on the 5th fl. It had a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. It was large enough for a couple with two children. I was very glad we chose to stay at this hotel away from the crowded downtown area. The location was exactly what we wanted. The hotel recommended a English speaking driver for our stay, and all the entrance tickets to various sites. So, we did not need a guide. Staying the entire trip in Yangshuo was so much better than in a crowded city, Guilin. Waking upevery morning with the fantastic view was quite heavenly.

Lovely hotel, peaceful location, very helpful staff
