It was excellent except that we were not prepared for it so didn’t have tea towels or dishwasher tablets. We liked having the big terrace with table and. Chairs. We enjoyed the free 24 hour free coffee facility.
We didn’t like the hotel being unstaffed at night.

€25,- per nacht vind ik voor deze plaats wel ruim voor parkeergeld ook omdat de kamers best aan de prijs zijn. Ontbijt was goed maar karig, werd om 9:45u al niet meer aangevuld. Ik miste de mogelijkheid om koffie te zetten op de kamer.

C'est subjectif, mais j'ai trouvé le style de la décoration un peu triste. Cependant l'endroit est très propre.

Reviewed Sep 2, 2026Sehr gut gelegen, einerseits nur wenige Minuten zur San Telmo Ermita Kapelle und zum Flysch, andererseits über einen Aufzug auch schnell im Stadtzentrum zu Geschäften und Restaurants. Zumaia selber hat uns auch sehr gut als Ausgangspunkt für Touren (per Auto, Boot und Zug) gefallen. Bequemes Zimmer mit schöner Terrasse und Kühlschrank, wir würden immer wieder kommen.
Die Erklärung zu der Anfahrt, dass man die Verbotsschilder ignorieren kann, die im Aufzug des Hotels aushing, wäre gut bei der Anreisebeschreibung vorab zu bekommen. Parken auf dem Hotelparkplatz ist relativ teuer und eng aber zumindest kann man dort Parken, weil das ansonsten ein Problem ist.

Some parking spots in the garage were very very small. We ended up arriving back to the hotel around 11:30 at night and the only spot left available was the far spot by the door. We had a miniSUV rental and it was almost impossible to get it into the spot. Spots should be assigned by car size or room.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026Second time here. Good clean rooms - the mountain side has the better view, the road side comes with a kitchen; both work. Perfect base for hiking the Flysch route and the beach, with on-site paid parking. Breakfast is decent - tortilla, fruit, fresh bread and croissants.
Nothing significant - breakfast is okay rather than outstanding if you compare it with the region's restaurants. Access streets are a bit steep with luggage, as with most of Zumaia.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2026Schone ruime kamer met fijne badkamer en prima ontbijt. Goed geïsoleerd en stil, in de nacht was het altijd rustig.
Er waren geen mogelijkheden tot ontspanning. Je kon na afloop van de dag enkel op bed gaan liggen. Er was geen zwembad, bar of een lekkere plek waar je nog even kon zitten. Ook het ballon bood daartoe geen mogelijkheden wegens volle zon en het ontbreken van een parasol. Daatbij viel de ligging van het hotel tegen: je zit hier in een meer bebouwd en verstedelijkt gebied dan je zou verwachten.

Le parking à 20 euros la nuit alors qu'il n'y aucun parking aux alentours est abusé vu le prix des chambres. La demande d'enregistrement "obligatoire" par internet reçue quelques jours avant alors qu'on était déjà parti de chez nous n'est pas appropriée non plus.

Reviewed Jul 22, 2026Die Lage ist ideal um Zumaia wirklich erleben zu können. Man ist in 5 Minuten am Strand und in 2 Minuten im Ortskern bzw. am zentralen Platz wo sich abends das Viertel trifft. Das Frühstück passt zur 2 Sterne Kategorie und lässt nichts essentielles vermissen und bietet die Möglichkeit drinnen oder auch draußen zu sitzen. Wenn möglich ein Zimmer abseits der Straße buchen und im idealfall mit Balkon - so ists ruhiger und man kann noch draußen sitzen. Die große Dusche war ebenfalls super und die allgemeine Größe des Zimmers auch top um zwei große Koffer ausbreiten zu können. Das Parken war problemlos möglich - das Hotel besitzt ca. 20 Plätze - wovon 16 am Hotel und 4 eine "Etage" tiefer angeboten werden. Jedoch sind einige Plätze nur mit großem fahrerischen Geschick oder nur mit kleineren Fahrzeugen wirklich nutzbar. Manövrieren ist insbesondere bei der Tiefgarage mit 8 Plätzen schwierig sowie das Drehen auf dem Hof zum Rausfahren über die Rampe. In Summe bietet das Haus für ein 2* Hotel eine Menge und wirkt frisch renoviert.
Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist schon sportlich - aber wohl der Lage und der Hauptsaison geschuldet. Die Betten waren grundsätzlich okay - aber im Mittel zu hart. Dies ist aber sicherlich immer Ansichtssache und schwer jedem Recht zu machen. Bei einem solch großen und breiten Bett wären zwei Decken super - aber die "eine große" Decke bzw. Laken sind eben der Standard im Land.

AC cooled but barely and humidity in the room was evident. I believe the AC needs servicing. It was a lot warmer in our room than the rest of the hotel.

Se nos estropeó el aire acondicionado y no nos dieron ninguna solución. La verdad k con lo caro k es, encontré al personal perdido y sin saber k hacer. Y a las 20.00h se van, así k creo k necesitan profesionalizarse un poco y el desayuno justo.

Reviewed Jul 19, 2026As others have said this is a real gem for a 2 star hotel. From the time you check in the staff are all very friendly, the reception desk, the young lady that looked after us a breakfast and even the lady that looked after the cleaning. The room (ours was 21) consists of a small lounge/dining/kitchen area, the large double bed and an ensuite bathroom. The room also had a small balcony overlooking the street and a view over Zumaia to the hills beyond. The Hotel is a short walk into town (downhill) and is only a 5min walk to the beach in the opposite direction. The kitchen is equipped with electric hotplates, a microwave, a fridge (which you can get restocked with drinks for free each day). They also supply plates, cuttlery and cooking equipment if you choose to use it. One down side was, based on the list inside the cupboard door there was quite a lot that hadn't been replaced over time. We had 3 saucers but only 1 cup, I'm sure I could have got exras if needed.
There was really only one thing that didn't impress me was having to pay 20 Euro's per day to park in the hotel carpark, but when you see what goes on with the street parking in the area I wouldn't want to be doing that each time I moved the car.

Reviewed Jul 13, 2026Ein sehr schönes, modernes und komfortables Hotel, super Zimmer mit bester Ausstattung. Kaffee und Tee 24/7. Sehr freundliches Personal. Das Hotel und der Ort als solcher ist ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in verschiedene Richtungen. Man braucht kein Auto, sondern kann direkt vom Hotel loslaufen, um die sehr schönen Wanderwege zu erreichen.

The room was very minimally equipped. There were no wine glasses or a bottle opener, there were only a few plates, and there were no small bowls or similar kitchen items at all. For an apartment with a kitchenette, we would have expected a bit more kitchen equipment and utensils.On the positive side, there was salt available, which unfortunately is missing in many places. We believe that basic essentials such as salt and pepper should ideally be provided in every accommodation.

Reviewed Jul 8, 2026Zeer comfortabel hotel, grote kamer, rustig gelegen en super schoon. Fijne zachte, dikke handdoeken. Mogelijkheid om koffie en thee te pakken, wanneer je wilt. Er is zelfs een kleine magnetron. Wij hebben geen gebruik gemaakt van het ontbijt. 4 minuten lopen naar San Telmo en je kunt genieten van een prachtige zonsondergang!
