Excellent location and welcoming, warm hosts! The hostel is spotless and it gives a relaxing atmosphere where you can chill or meet new people if you want. Buggy and Lucy are super friendly and helpful, if you are a single traveller and want to meet new friends, this is the place to be.

床尾就是自己獨立使用的行李櫃，使用上非常方便且兼顧隱私！插座很方便，除了有照明之外還有床頭燈可以使用！太貼心了😍

The hosts are supercute and the house is really nice as well.

It is a bit pricey but worth the money.

旅宿風格如其名，真的是在都蘭的朋友家。老闆們真誠待人，願意分享給人舒服又自在的感覺。在屋子內的陳設及氛圍給人一種「浪人的」舒適感，不會太刻意卻又保有個性，如同平靜的海浪般，一陣一陣洗滌在北部緊繃的生活，體驗都蘭的慵懶。

The rooms were comfortable and well decorated. The roof top area was a great place to hangout. And Lucy and Buggy (the hosts) were friendly and gave great recommendations.

很喜歡老闆們！人很好 很親切！房間環境都很乾淨 連頂樓半室外設施也沒灰塵 老闆也會貼一些周邊美食或是景點資訊

管家親切，分享很多在地生活的文化和店家，還有在地的活動分享，讓人會想再回訪當地

Ich war für zwei Nächte hier im Doppelstockbettzimmer und habe sehr gut geschlafen. Die beiden Hosts sind super nett und hilfsbereit und haben mir tolle Tipps gegeben, wo ich in Dulan und im Umland essen gehen kann und einen tollen Meerblick habe. Im entspannten Gemeinschaftsraum, kleinen Garten und Rooftop ist es einfach zu socialisen. Nachts war es ruhig.

Quiet area just off the Main Street. 10mins walk from the beach. Clean, cozy and chill vibes. Conducive environment to interact with other guests as well. Friendly hosts who provided great information on surrounding attractions.

Cozy and comfortable, Lucy and Buggy were very friendly and personable. The property is on a quiet little street near the beach. Lots of common area space for socializing.

The room is a bit small but not a problem for a short stay

後院真的很chill

身為頭髮不少的女生，通常住青旅能用到風力不是最弱的吹風機我就已經阿彌陀佛了，沒想到這裡除了有風力足夠的吹風機，連牙膏、焗油、洗面乳都有附，除此之外還有佈置過的後院、樓頂也能上去坐坐甚至是做瑜伽，再加上小鄭總是熱情但不過度的關心房客以及推薦都蘭或是台東的好地方/餐廳，真的不愧是名稱叫「朋友家」的青旅，我認真覺得像跑到朋友家住，因為住在這裡讓我對都蘭的印象超加分（我有住附近其他青旅，沒有比較沒有傷害，如果不是朋友家，我絕對不會如此愉快！）

六人房如果睡下舖的話，坐直的話，頭很容易撞到上鋪的板子，（本人身高160）；另外每個上鋪沒有簾子、下舖簾子只有遮大概一半，非常注重隱私的人要考慮朋友家的其他客房～睡覺怕光的人推薦戴眼罩來！ 另一個小缺點是淋浴間只有兩間，如果跟比較多朋友一起來，又一起去海邊玩回來想洗澡的話，只能等待比較多的時間～（但整個青旅如果住滿也才10人左右吧，所以也不能說淋浴間太少）

A cozy place, great staff, not too far from the beach or the town center.

Twin room is quite tiny, but comfortable nevertheless.

The location was perfect - close to town but quiet and a close walk to the beach. Awesome roof top hang out as well.

- Very cute cosy homey feel with comfy sofas - Staff were really friendly and polite with recommendations of things to do. - Well equipped kitchen and you can even cook as there’s a stove - Very clean I can walk around bare feet

- The bed curtains only closed halfway. It was awkward as my bed had direct eye line to the person in the other bed and I couldn’t get privacy. Curtains would be better to go the whole length of the bed! - Netflix on the TV would have been appreciated given nothing was in English. - Nothing to do around the area if you don’t surf. I found Dulan itself a bit boring actually!

A lovely place to relax and make new friends. Lucy and Buggy are incredibly kind and friendly. I felt completely at home. Thank you so much. I hope to come back soon!

The place feels like a shared appartment. There is a lot of common space. The outdoor area and the living room are quite cozy. The couple that is running the hostel is very friendly and helps with advices for activities around the area. It is also very clean. One of the best places I have been during my trip.

Very kind host, super cozy common area with a small living area (inside and outside) and a kitchen. The double room was also great and comfy. We are very happy to have stayed here and can recommend without a hesitation!

Lucy and Buggy were so nice, the hostel is absolutely cozy and is in a quiet alley in walking distance to everything you need. I loved the atmosphere and I recommend it highly to anyone coming to Dulan :)

Everything was perfect :the property is located just 5 minutes from the bus stop in a quiet alley that leads directly to the beautiful black sand beach of Dulan. The place is very cosy, Lucy and Buggy made sure that you feel very welcome in everything small details. I stayed in the double room which was lovely and very comfy with a small balcony with a mountain view! Not to mention the rooftop vite the mountain and Palm trees view. Lucy also told me all the great tips and recommandations for my stay in Dulan.

Such a warm and welcoming place! The owner is incredibly friendly and full of amazing recommendations. The common areas are so inviting—a rooftop with views of the mountains and sea, perfect for yoga or relaxing in the hammock. There’s also a lovely patio with a deck, hammock, and outdoor dining area that made me feel completely at home.

I really enjoyed my 2 night stay here and would have liked to stay longer if I had time. The hosts were super nice and helpful and the place was clean and comfortable. It’s in a great location and has a nice rooftop as well. I will definitely stay here again when I come back to Donghe/Dulan.

Stop scrolling! Stay here when you visit Dulan. The owners are so kind and make a great effort for guests to get to know each other. The location is fantastic just a short walk to the beach. Dulan has lovely restaurants for breakfast and dinners. This is a lovely friendly welcoming hostel.

Would have liked more toilets (there are 2), especially when you share a mixed gender dorm if you need to change clothes etc. The bed curtains can't be drawn all the way.

Owned by such a lovely couple. They helped me book my boat to green island and have so much good advice. The private double bed is absolutely lovely I felt super cosy and at home.

Laid-back hostel vibes. It literally feels like crashing at a friend's place and worrying about nothing.

The hostel was very clean, the beds were comfy with power outlets and the light nearby. Also - we enjoyed having a window in the dormitory, the room felt fresh when entering. The rooftop terrace was great!

One of the best hostel experiences I’ve had! The hostel is very cozy and clean with lots of nice spots to hang out. And the people were really nice! I felt very welcome and comfortable right away. Definitely recommend staying here.

The location between beach and main street is quiet and ideal. The hostel was clean, tidy and homely and I did like the rooftop hammock especially after sunset when it was breezy and cool. The hosts, Lucy and Buggy were very warm and welcoming and made me feel at home and answered any questions I may have had about Dulan and beyond and I can see how Dulan would be an easy place to relax for a week, month, whatever. Thanks Lucy and Buggy.

Amazing atmosphere, the people managing the hostel are really nice and chill. Staying there was very relaxing. The location is perfect just 10 minutes walk or 5 minutes bike from the beach and minutes away from food and coffee options.

The owners were super welcoming and friendly and spoke perfect English. They were very helpful, too, in giving us info about the town and were we could eat, when to catch the bus back to Taitung, etc. Laundry service available upon request, and very cheap. We loved the laid-back vibe of the place. We also liked that it was cleaner and less scruffy than the other hostels in the town, without it losing its relaxed atmosphere. The room was more spacious than it seemed in the photos, and the high ceiling added to that feeling of spaciousness. It also had a little private balcony with chairs where we could sit and relax. The little yard at the back of the hostel was very cute - it was lovely to sit under the big tree and fairy lights at night. The only thing missing was a few more comfortable chairs to lounge in (there's only one of those, on the deck, plus some spindly wooden folding chairs). The shower was amazing! Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy, including the bathrooms, which was great since they were shared by all. A few friendly neighbourhood pets came to say hello once or twice. The hostel is within walking distance from everything you'd need - restaurants, convenience stores, shops, bus stop. But it's not directly on the busy and noisy main road, like most of the other hostels in town. And a 10 minute walk from the beach.

The bed was quite hard, which is not unusual for Taiwan. But it was not that comfortable. The lack of space makes it understandable, but it was still not great to have one side of the bed against a wall. The only place to sit in the room, other than the bed, is a pouf or cushion type thing on the floor. I think there is enough space for a small sofa or two armchairs. I have a bad knee and getting down on the floor and back up again is a struggle. The walls of the rooms are quite thin, so we felt a slight lack of privacy. Luckily our fellow guests were very courteous and quiet. The hostel is right by a T-intersection, and the side of the building where the rooms are is RIGHT next to the road, which meant passing vehicles sounded like they were right next to us, especially if the window was open. The rubbish collection truck's music was exceptionally loud and annoying to us. The kitchen sink has seen (and smelled) better days and could do with getting a makeover.

The hosts were amazing and very friendly. It really felt like a family, and all the guests talked and ate together in the living room. The beds were VERY comfortable! Well worth the price for sure!!

The hostel is perfectly located in dulan. Close to a bus stop, the beach and restaurants. The facilities are very clean and easy to use. The best thing about the hostel are the owners. They are very welcoming and kind people. Always ready to help when you have questions. Would love to stay again!

Welcoming host , willing to have a chat and some explanation about area (speaks good English - helpful if you cannot speak mandarin) . Cool paintings on the walls painted by Candy Bird (famous Taiwanese graffiti artist) that's why I chose this hostel to have photos with the paintings :)

The staff was super friendly and the general atmosphere in the hostel was really pleasant. There's plenty of comfortable corners to enjoy a chill evening hanging out with other guests. The location is just perfect: close to the coast, at the same time right next to the main street where there's shops and restaurants, but also not directly on it, so it's also very peaceful.
