Sunny Lane

Wifi ok.

Télévision un peu petite. Mais on s'en accomode.

The most comfortable bed ever I wish I could take it home. Beautiful, quiet and convenient location. Lots of little extras and well appointed.

It was winter and I so wanted to try the pool but way too cold. The pool looks amazing.

We received a very warm welcome on arrival, and were provided with valuable information on the area and things to do. Bed super comfy, speedy and reliable WiFi, thoughtful touches such as a jug of fresh milk for coffee on our first morning, and a short walk to the main Franschoek Wine Tram office and station. Thank you Barbara, will certainly recommend to anyone considering a stay in Franschoek.

The accomodation had everything we could have needed. The lovely heated room in the cold was really appreciated. Absolutely loved the private little verandah to sit and have a glass of wine. The room was very secure and private, also right off the road so nice and quiet. Some milk in the fridge and ice blocks is alwasy a nice touch that many places forget. Much appreciated!

Little more guest parking would have been nice, but otherwise could not fault the accomodation on anything.

The place was just perfect, so much warmed inside while it rained and the gardening is so beautiful.

Nice cozy place that had good coffee, location was close to La Cotte wine farm, electric blankets for the cold wknd was very nice.

Lovely spacious apartment in a quiet area, but only a short walk away from the main street. Perfect for visiting Franschhoek!

Lovely host, good location and good value for money.

Quiet location with fabulous facilities!

We liked the idea that it was self contained, private and cosy. The sitting out areas were very pleasant at different times of the day. The pool was refreshing after a day of walking, exploring and wine tasting! The shower was good with lots of hot water.

The bed might need to be upgraded in the future, but that is very minor.

A fantastic little holiday apartment in a quiet location but just the shortest walk from all the attractions of Franschhoek. Lovely staff as well.

Having to leave

Heerlijk zwembad en een mooi terras buiten. Rustig gelegen en toch overal dichtbij. Barbara gaf goede en prettige informatie over Franschhoek en omgeving. Heel goede prijs/kwaliteit

Great location, fully equipped and functional

The neighbours are renovating/ building , so started using and angle grinder at 8:30 on a Sunday and wouldn’t stop even though we asked them to.

Such a pretty apartment with a wonderful patio area where you can enjoy a morning coffee/evening glass of wine Location is perfect, a short walk to lovely cafes/restaurants, shops and the wine tram We were made to feel very welcome

The cottage is lovely decorated and equipped. Everything very clean, felt like home from the beginning. Host Barbara is so welcoming and made our stay very enjoyable. Excellent value for the money. Clear recommendation!!!

Very comfortable cottage with everything you need for short or long stay. Very good location.

Nothing

The property was located very close to the centre of town. It was also really close to where my partner and I intended to go over the weekend.

Great location, really central to explore the region. It's generously sized, well equipped and the bed is very comfortable! Check in was easy and welcoming. A great experience all-round!

Quietness ans safety of thr propery

Very convenient location with easy walking access to Franschhoek Village.Nice shated secluded garden with pool.

Perfect spot to explore Franschhoek and surrounds.

Spotlessly clean garden apartment. Within walking distance of the main street yet very private & quiet. Owner Barbara greeted us & advised us about places she & her husband enjoyed frequenting & there was plenty of information & books provided about the local area. We enjoyed relaxing on the verandah under the grape vine and using the swimming pool in the garden which was also kept very clean. Kitchen space a bit tight but had everything we needed for making breakfast / snack meal. Spoilt for choice with restaurants & cafe s nearby in any case. A great base for exploring Franschoek!

Perfect little spot super close to the main road. Clean. Had everything we needed. Cute little garden. Lovely host. We were very happy.

It was quiet and peaceful but still just a short walk to the town. The small place was quite comfortable and larger than I expected. It is a great location to visit Franschoek and explore the area vineyards.

Everything was perfect for us, the room was very clean and comfortable. The outside space was lovely with beautiful plants and flowers surrounding the room and a good-sized pool. It was very peaceful and a perfect place to base yourself in Franschhoek. Highly recommend!

Accommodation was comfortable, good value for money, and in a great location.

Property in a great location just a few minute walk from the main street with tons of places to eat and drink. Comfortable bed and lovely little porch to eat and relax. Barbara was a lovely host and the quiet location was really nice for a restful night sleep.

Most probably wouldn't cook like we did a Franschhoek has amazing food. The kitchen is more than adequate but a little tight. Otherwise, everything else about the property was lovely!

I loved everything. The location is 2 minutes walk from the main road with lots of restaurants and bars. The bed was so comfortable, not too soft, not too hard, just perfect. The host was lovely and gave us a warm welcome. The pool was super clean. The attention to detail is wonderful. Mosquito repellant and a plug to keep them away. Decent filter coffee, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, decent hand-wash, and soap. I loved the private patio, too, where I was able to work. WiFi speed is 93 mbps download and 94 mbps upload, so perfect for working. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The place is much better than the photos portray. Oh and the aircon works wonders.

Absolutely nothing, it was a perfect stay.

Beautiful property, handy location to walk into town, host very helpful with any questions we had.

Nothing!

Great location, close to town centre, shops and Wine-tram. Quiet and nice garden with a big pool. Aircon in the bedroom.

The pillows were too soft for our liking.

Private, perfectly situated with all amenities. Excellent communication and welcoming with Barbara and Archie. We arrived in 38degree weather and the unit was surprisingly cool. The bedroom also has aircon and there is a swimming pool. The unit is also walking distance to the main road where one can find shops and restaurants yet far enough to b e out of the bustle.

Very friendly host. Beautifull garden. The swimming pool was so refreshing.

Very nice and neat accommodation (especialy the bigger unit had a great kitchen and lots of space)! The value for money is very good - especially for Franshoek and surroundings where rates for accommodation are often quite high.... We were welcome by the host and the garden and the swimming pool were very lovely and neat.

Hostess help us to find transportation to airport and allowed us to have a late check-out. I would highly recommend staying at this location plus only a few minutes to walk to town center.

Quiet, well equipped, swimming pool, great value and location

Location, very short walk to the main street. Home from home accommodation, plenty of room. Lovely patio area to sit outside and relax. Use of pool on a hot day was delightful. Host very accommodating.

Nothing not to like!

Very quiet residential location a 5 minute walk from the main road. Nice pool but a bit early in spring for us to use it. Very pleasant hosts.

We liked everything. It was clean and we had privacy, while being super close to town, and an (almost) private pool. The bed was very comfortable. All-in-all a fantastic stay.

The bed was comfortable

The terracotta floor tiles throughout the unit look dirty. The shower floor had mold on the grout. The towels were thin and dark blue so you can't see how clean they are.

Very clean, close to all the stores and sights. Value for money.

Absolutely stunning place. Hospitality was excellent. Highly recommended.

I liked everything.

Spacious. Great location. Bed was fantastic.

Nothing.

Very well equipped. Perfect location. The owner is friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

The property is ideally located, and one can easily walk to shops and restaurants. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable. The heaters in the rooms and electric blankets were most welcome as it was extremely cold.

This is such a lovely place and had everything I needed. Private, quiet and very cosy. Perfect location, walking distance from the main road. Barbata is a wonderful, warm and friendly host. When I arrived she had warmed my room because it was super chilly outside. I'd definitely love to stay again.

This was a perfect affordable spot for our stay in Franschhoek. It’s a small room, but very cute and thoughtfully planned with everything you need. Just a couple blocks to the Main Street with restaurants and from the wine tram. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Perfect location to both the town and wedding venue

Very comfortable bed and lovely bed linen and toiletries. We especially loved the little vine-shaded patio in front of the apartment.

Nothing at all to complain about!

Excellent location with 6-7 mins walk to shops, Franschoek town centre and wine-train station . Tranquil.

Accommodation comprised one bed-sitting room only with tiny kitchenette. References in other reviews to “spacious” must have been to the other unit at the property as the “budget “ (not much cheaper) was cramped for space. Views of pool, mountains etc were overstated. Pool wld have been good if not full of leaves.

Great location in the centre of Franschhoek. Very warm welcome by Barbara. A nice and quiet studio in a relaxed garden environment. And a great swimmingpool as well!

Nothing was bad in this place.

Host was nice and helpful. Apartment we got after a free upgrade was remarkable. Huge bed, proper heating for wintery months and appropriate coverage during load shedding. Location is top notch and super close to all nearby wineries

Nothing to complain about

I absolutely adored staying here. The cottage is a bachelor unit, with a large patio. It offers ample living spaces, especially in summer. The patio has a grapevine with two seating areas followed by a small enclosed private garden and more communal garden beyond that. . The kitchen is small but provided everything that I desired. It's one of the mostly thoughtfully furnished and equipped places that I stayed in for a long time (and I travel a lot). There was also no power cottages in spite of stage 6 loadshedding. Most importantly the bed and bedding was luxurious, with an electric blanket for the cold. You get more than what you pay for. I highly recommend this cottage for anyone, it's magical.

The host was awesome and she assisted with all our needs

We loved our stay at Sunny Lane! We rented the 2 apartments. The apartments were very comfortable. We stayed in the winter and appreciated the heaters and heating blankets on the bed. Walking distance to lovely cafes, restaurants, and the Saturday market. I would definitely stay again and recommend this accommodation if you’re in the area!

The apartment was well equipped, clean and comfortable. Also they recently invested in an back-up system that helps make the load shedding a bit more bearable. Location was superb, with the town center, wine tram depo and La Cotte Farm. only a short walk away.
