Posada Los Tajibos

Nada

Camas ruins, banheiro precario

Fantastic host and accommodation

The hotel is quaint and the staff very helpful and accommodating. Nice breakfast buffet. It was a sweet, affordable place to stay!

Good for solo minimalist

Location

Old & need more sockets

Staff are exceptionally helpful. An older place but very homey.

Lots of wood, a bit rustic, quiet, best sleeps, air conditioning, good location (4 blocks walking to downtown area with good restaurants), buffet breakfast, very friendly staff. I’d stay there again.

Very welcoming and helpful team running this hotel. Professional and courteous front desk who got us safe, clean taxis promptly several times.

The property is a little bit outdated

Great location

For budget minded, this is a great option

Relaxed friendly atmosphere! In walking distance to bus station and wonderful options for restaurants. Very helpful staff to organise a taxi/remises to the waterfalls. It was also really convenient to be able to leave our luggage after check out.

I was there for a couple of hours, place is horrible I had to look for another place to stay, of course I didn’t have breakfast

Beside the staff that try to do their best, the place needs a lot to improve, doors don’t work properly, electrical system in the room is hazardous, no supplies in the rooms etc etc etc

The location is very good . Walking distance to restaurants. The hotel is good for budget friendly travelers. Washrooms need little more attention from management.

Good location walking distance to bars restaurants and shops

Shower took too long to heat up

Comfortable, good location and owner super friendly

Staff was nice and friendly. Location was good. Close to supermarket, restaurants and bus terminal.

Room was quite hot because the air conditioning was barely working. Shower was horrible. Either cold or boiling water. Breakfast was just toast. Only stairs to get up to room.

nice staff

some cockroaches in the room, dirty towels and minimal breakfast

staffs are very friendly and helpful, place is clean and authentic, i enjoyed staying there.

Was a great property for those not looking for lux stay. Great price for solo travellers. Breakfast included and plenty of restaurants around with bus depot 7 min away. All they need in the room is a lamp and a small garbage can maybe. Definitely will keep them in mind when returning. Also was able to extend my checkout for small price due to late at departure. Gracias !

Great accommodation for those on a budget The bus depot is 7 minutes walking away!

Siempre atentos a cualquier necesidad o inquietud.

There is a sweet feeling with the staff here, and a nice breakfast. The bed was unfortunately uncomfortable, making sleep difficult. The walls aren’t very protective against sound, so even with earplugs I could hear snoring from the room next door. I think it was my mistake to choose the city center. If you are looking for an economical place to stay, and don’t mind some noise this would be a great place to stay.

Todo el personal es sumamente amable. Buena ubicación

We enjoyed our stay but too bad, like much of the town, Tajibos is getting run down. It is really a quaint, cool little place but lots of maintenance issues with faucets, lights, TV remote didn’t work well, window lock’s broken or missing, outlets worn out, etc. It rained SUPER hard and our first room leaked in three places during the hardest rain. But they happily cleaned another room real quick and moved us

The property was good and staff wonderful

We didn't like it, I will not pay more then $20 usd for this it was very poor quality establishment

Everything low quality. Towels damp, stained, AC poor, nothing in room comfortable, sketchy area, shower & toilet are in the same space, breakfast poor no fruit.

Simple site, very near main town but also quiet. Staff were very friendly and explained how to access the town/falls. The shower had nice hot water. Able to leave luggage on day of check-out. Seems pet-friendly, which was cute.

Not many facilities but expected with price! Breakfast wasn't a wide range so poor vegan options, we had bread and jam. The hotel is on the basic side - no safe in room, old-style keys to lock. The reception is 24hr but someone might be absent for periods of time. We left our suitcases at the front desk and later when we returned and when our taxi came, nobody was at the desk and we needed to leave.

Friendly staff. Needs a few fixes but overall very good!

The hotel is so humid that the sheet were wet Noisy at night

Fantastic staff, super friendly and informative! Great vibes and a great bed. Value for money is amazing.

Other guest's alarms, but that could be anywhere.

- close to bus terminal - breakfast - friendly staff - outdoor and indoor seating

The light breakfast

The way the warm water in the shower comes out is a bit primitive

The ambience and quirkiness of this place provided a feeling of genuity of the country!

If anything maybe newer sheets and towels - ours were very clean but had seen better days!

If you just need a bed and a restroom and you are not too picky, then this is your place to stay. The only thing I really did not like was the air conditioning. It was loud and the room was still warm/hot. I would rather have an electric fan. The employees were great and friendly. The breakfast was a continental breakfast, which was good enough for me. Please, just fix the air

Very good location for exploring Aregentinian and Brazilian sides of Iguazu Falls. Basic but good for short stay.

The location was perfect - it was about a 5 minute walk to the bus station to get to the falls, and to the downtown area. There was a nice restaurant just down the other street from the one going downtown, about a 3 minute walk. Breakfast selection was excellent. 3 of us shared a two storey apartment with 2 bedrooms. There was lots of space for everyone. The owners are very helpful and friendly. Also, they will give you blue dollars!!!

Everything was wonderful. The location, the staff, the breakfast.

This was an excellent stay for an accessible price. The location was safe, quiet and close to several restaurants. The hosts were likely friendly and helpful, the facilities were very much similar to other posadas

Basic, conveniently located hotel with friendly, helpful staff.

Excellent staff. Helped us with booking a minivan to the airport and helping with dinner recommendations

The location and the breakfast included.

we stayed for four nights and it was really nice! the stuff is sooo friendly and helpful! we enjoyed our stay in this little great hostel.

It was rustic and the staff really kind

The door had a huge gap underneath, we didn’t have water in the morning at all the last morning

Property is located a block from Main Street in town and 5 min walk from main bus terminal .

the staff was soooooo nice! everyone was super friendly and helpful! it’s located in a sidestreet, so it’s close to everything, but still quiet.

the room had an odd smell from the bathroom.

Staff was very nice and helpful with what to do around the area and making recommendations for cheaper options for getting around. I really appreciated Paula's help!!

Good place for a short stay. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The beds are old and with bad mattresses. Everything seems old, but overnight it is possible.

Great atmosphere, super helpful staff. Very friendly guests from all over the World.

Affordable. Great dining nearby. Grocery store nearby. Transportation hub nearby. All walkable.

The owners warm reception

Just a perfect value. Obviously not luxury but for the price you pay - simply amazing. And the staff is very helpful and friendly, best part here.

Wall was leaking water. Intermittent power outages. Great staff

Great staff, service and location!

The staff didn’t wear masks during our stay, nor did they enforce it on guests. We wore our masks, but did not feel very comfortable. We’re still in a pandemic! Our first room was awful because the air conditioning was making loud banging noises every few minutes. We only got a new room because we asked for it even though the lady at the front desk heard the banging noises. The wifi isn’t very good. And they would shut off the water at night! We got it back on because we asked for it to use the toilet, to wash our hands after toileting and to shower. You hear people outside the room during the night, so not very quiet. The air conditioners don’t fit in the walls, so hot air is still coming in your room and isn’t all that cool.

My review is based on what I paid to stay at Los Tajibos.... The staff were excellent from day 1 of booking, with Paula immediately responding to my email enquiry and providing WhatsApp contact details, arranging airport pick up and assurances as to arranging what to do when I got there - all of which worked perfectly. This is a small family run hotel, basic in some respects of room and breakfast but with a lovely courtyard and some great restaurants close by .... as well as bus station for ease of getting to both sides if the Falls ...

Staff made us feel at home. Not 5 star but we really enjoyed ourselves. Close to bus station and good restaurants

I had a nice short stay here whilst visiting the falls. Staff were friendly and helpful. My room was spacious and clean. Nice hot shower and fan in room. I was able to wait in reception after check out for my bus. They could be some more options for breakfast, other than that no issues.

Very good location. Staff was very helpful with all the information about moving around and welcoming. Paula speaks very good English 😊

Hospitalidad, servicio, limpieza. Como en casa!! Totalmente recomendable.

Construction next door woke me up every day I was there - 6am. Found a cockroach in my room. Cat jumped on the buffet table and ate some of the food. I wouldn't stay there again.

Basic room but friendly great service from all the staff. Very nice experience at guest house.

Very helpful staff. They will help you get to the falls and anywhere you want to go. Good basic breakfast. Don’t expect great luxury but great value and very friendly staff for travel on a budget.

Sandra is the soul of this property and what makes the difference and rightfully overcomes the basic bedrooms that this hotel has. She goes beyond her duties and truly helps in everything the guest needs alongside with her husband. The room I stayed was very basic with a smell of damp/humidity and very thin bedsheets but ok as I just spent time there for sleep. It’s located right in the city Center of Puerto Iguaçu and 5min away from the central busy station where you can take the coaches to Brazilian and Argentina waterfalls and to the cidad del Este in Paraguay. The breakfast is good and simple taking into account the price you paid. I would stay there again as they have more rooms available and the front desk staff is very very good!!

The manager was very helpful. She spoke good English and was able to give us valuable information about where to eat in Iguazu. It is always good to know where the locals eat.

We had a wonderful time. The family that runs the Posada knows what they are doing. They are working very hard to continue to improve the property in every way and it shows. They are friendly and welcoming and want you to enjoy their place.

our stay at this hotel was to go to the falls this hotel served it's purpose it's in a back street where it was quite the lady who runs it was very helpful could speak english which was a great help plumbing could with a major over haul but other wise room was clean a/c worked well and you only had to ask for anything eg extra towels and you got them breakfast was continental and was adequate I would recommend this hotel as it is cheap and the lady was great and it serves the purpose

A warm, wonderful and safe cat- and dog-friendly hotel near lots of great restaurants and bus terminal.

Pros: situated at quite near to everything , near metro and bus stops, well situated for exploration of the city. Staff are nice and helpful. The place is well decorated and with a roof top terrace that is good for enjoying music and drink from the bar. There is a kitchen with cooking utensils , microwave and refrigerator for use . There is a common place with sofas and computer for meeting new people or just searching for information . Cons: The hotel itself is a rather old building and some of the walls and floors worn out, accumulating dust. I once dropped a wet towel onto the floor of my single room, it stuck with a layer of dirts when I picked it up. Kitchen is tiny and the cooking untensils are just adequate for 2 people cooking at the same time. The hot water in my roomwasn't promising and finally I used the public shower to have hot shower. The breakfast is not included and costs and extra of 150 pesos for very basic breakfast.

Excellent staff. Paulho speaks excellent English and was very helpful.
