Beautiful hotel, fabulous pool and excellent staff - loved the colonial feel and the polished floorboards. The welcome and service were exemplary.

The highly polished floor was a bit slippery at times - caution required! There could have been more tropical fruit at breakfast :-)

Excellent séjour dans cette maison d’hôtes à l’Île Maurice. L’accueil a été particulièrement chaleureux et attentionné. Une mention toute spéciale à Catherine, pour sa gentillesse, sa disponibilité et son sens de l’hospitalité. La maison est d’une propreté irréprochable, chaque espace est parfaitement entretenu et très agréable à vivre. Nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous. Une adresse que nous recommandons vivement.

Maison vraiment bien entretenue, très propre, accueil ultra souriant et bienveillant ! Nous avons eu l'impression d'être comme a la maison !

Piscine en cours de rénovation (elle en a besoin) et quelques manques de remise en etat technique ( Portail endommagé, baignoire hs ...).Rien d'indispensable mais a suivre dans le temps...

シャンプーなどのアメニティは備え付けがなく、周辺のお店も17時以降は閉まってしまうため、夕食は中華のテイクアウトやKFC、ピザ屋など限られた選択肢でした。

The property is clean but has no amenities. The swimming pool doesn’t work. It’s overpriced and not worth the money. Four dogs roam around freely at night, which is scary.

Schönes historisches Haus mit wunderbarem Garten und Pool. Freundliche Gastgeberin und Reichhaltiges Frühstück. Metro nach Port Louis gleich um die Ecke.

Beyond the beautiful building and spacious, comfortable rooms, it was truly Catherine and her team's dedication that made our experience unforgettable. They went above and beyond to accommodate all our needs and ensure we had a perfect stay. The rooms were spotless, and breakfast was tailored to our preferences every day. Catherine made us feel completely at home. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Port Louis. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Wonderful house in a not so wonderful place. Great and very helpful service. Beautifully arranged lobby and yard.

Facilities need upgrade. Wifi varies from good to nonexistent, depending on the part of the house. Main problem - there is no hot water. In fact, containers are placed on the roof, and there is warm water only if there is enough sunshine to warm it.

- property is very clean - staff are always friendly and go out of their way to make sure that you have a great stay - for example: I needed breakfast at 06:00 on day of departure and this was arranged - good location for Metro Express - easy to get around to Port Louis, Ebene

Stayed at this hotel one week and enjoyed a lot. It was clean, relaxing and central hotel. I will come same hotel next time

The staff were very welcoming. Maison D' Hôtes Coignet is closed to supermarkets, restaurants, the bus stop, and metro station. I felt very safe. The breakfast is delicious and prepared for you in the morning. The room was very clean. I had a wonderful night's sleep. From Rose Hill you can catch the bus or train and get to any part of the island.

very big court , very calm, close to some restaurants, and close to tramway to go to other places. very spacious rooms staff was extremely friendly

Nous sommes chaleureusement accueillis à notre arrivé avec un verre de jus de fruits, dans une magnifique maison coloniale, de l'espace salon à la salle à manger tout est fait pour que nous nous sentions à l'aise. Les chambres sont à l'image de l'accueil avec beaucoup d'espace, la clim si besoin et une connexion Wi-Fi. Le ménage est fait tous les jours et bien sûr la maison soit en ville mais reculée dans le jardin nous avons passé de bonnes nuits au calme. En résumé nous recommandons cet hébergement sans hésiter.

The location is a good spot to explore either the north of south of the island as it is well connected to main roads. The rooms were clean enough.

The room descriptions on Booking.com are a total shambles. You don't get the room you think you are getting if you book directly on the website. We arrived in darkness at the agreed hour only to find the entrance gate locked. We had to deal with beggars trying to find the entrance, which turned out to be the locked gate. Inside the room itself, the floorboards were ridiculously squeaky in the room and the bath, one reason for paying for a nicer room was out of order! In addition, payment for this booking was supposed to be taken in advance was supposed to be taken in advance but wasn't. Finally, information on the access to the swimming pool on the Booking.com website was and and still is (as 7th May) wrong.

The warm and friendly welcome. When we arrive Catherine and her spouse were waiting for us outside to receive us. She made us feel like having a home away from home.

A spectacularly renovated old house with lovely fixtures and fittings and wonderful furnishings. Light and spacious. On arrival, the room that we had booked was already occupied. We were looking forward to sitting on the balcony after our evening meal. Only 24hours later were we able to occupy the room we had booked. We were further disappointed that the bath in both bathrooms was out of order and could not be used. We understood that there was a restaurant and we intended to eat at the property each evening but we were told the first evening that this was not possible and we went out to eat but did not feel safe walking on the streets in this area. The next evening when we returned, there were no staff present and thereby no possibility of an evening meal. The young lady who helped in the kitchen was very sweet and made sure that our laundry was done and hung out in the garden to dry. She also found us a box to put our lunch in and we were able to keep our food and drinks items in the fridge in the kitchen. We were unable to use the swimming pool as it remained filthy throughout our stay.

I thoroughly enjoyed this quiet place, the room was spacious and spotless, the hosts are available to help anytime and they are very friendly too. I have enjoyed having internet throughout the building. Breakfast was simply delicious.

It’s really a good experience for 3days and they are all nice to supply comfortable service like live in home, actually it’s a home but not hotel, can enjoy the local life! Great

Just perfect! You should stay here in Mauritius :) We had a marvelous time on vacation staying at Masion D'hote Coignet. Thanks to Henry and Catherine, we have had a great memory in Mauritius. Location - We rent a car so it was easy to get everywhere. Room - Everyday clean & tide, Spacious! Breakfast - It was always excellent. Everything is perfect so we would highly recomment this place. Henry and Catherine, we will keep wonderful memories of you. Thank you very much indeed for the warm welcome. If you visit to Korea, we are willing to be your tourist guide! Further, please say hellow to your great dogs! :)

the house was very clean polished wooden floors guest were made to feel part of the family there,breakfast was excellent, good food, sadly no coffee in the rooms, and lack of hot water to shower or bath, but really comfortable friendly and very very clean. wifi good in rooms and in the house in general
