The view from the hostel is amazing!!! The hostel is situated right on NC500 and has ample parking space

The location was beautiful, the stuff was great and the kitchen was super well equipped

We were very welcome and the tenant is very very nice and helpful. The view and the spot (very wild) are incredible. Simplicity !

nice little town. quiet near with several places of interest to visit especially the smoo cave.

the shower room was just beside the main door to the dorms.so if u come out of the shower and at the same time someone comes in from the outside ull be exposed especially if u come out with just a towel wrap around u which was what we saw when we first came. Lack of wall plugs, only provided extension wire for 10 people in the room

It lies in a stunning position just above Smoo caves, which because I got up early enough, I had to myself. Loads to do in all directions.

Cheap with included on-site parking. Walkable to nearby food truck eatery and Spar supermarket.

Check-in time seems a bit late in the day (this might be standard practice in hostels in Scotland?) WIFI did not reach to our bunk bed area, only connected in the communal area or near reception booth. One more male shower area would be good.

Good youth hostel for backpackers. It's close to the Smoo cave waterfall. .

Wir haben 1 Nacht im Youth Hostrl verbracht. Von außen sah es eher wie eine Garage aus, innen war es warm und gemütlich. Auf unsere Anfrage wurde sogar der Schwedenofen angezündet.Sehr nettes Personal.

Location was awesome, staff member was excellent, friendly and super helpful.

Dorms are noisy, beds squeak when people roll over. Kitchen a bit small for number of people.

Not being used to youth hostels, I was a bit worried about cleanliness and sharing the room with strangers. Went to the shower in the evening before everyone else. The bathroom was spotless. I shared the room with very nice people.

Wonderful hostel. Very friendly check in. Facilities were very clean, beds comfy.

Wish it had washer and clothes line. That would be nice addition.

The guy at reception was extremely helpful. The hostel was really clean and the rooms were very comfortable. Self-catering option makes your stay really affordable

Camere ampie, tutto molto pulito, la divisione dei bagni tra maschi e femmine ha consentito di potersi cambiare e svestire in serenità. Il ragazzo della reception molto gentile. Cucina grande e spaziosa.

Està molt ben situat. La cuina és excelent. Té tots els estris necessaris. L'espai per menjar correcte. I l'habitació familiar correcte també.

Il reparto notte era confortevole e pulito, idem per le zoni comuni.

Great location and free parking.

The place has no plugs, no chance to charge your phone in the sleeping area, no night tables or shelves to leave belongings by the bunk beds, no enough chairs by the bunk beds either, no curtains to separate spaces as you have in other hostels.

10/10 location, so stunning. very comfy beds, very cosy in the colder weather. The kitchen and communal areas are well maintained and have all utensils needed for cooking and storing food!!

the shower could have had better pressure, but wasn’t bad.

Cette auberge de jeunesse est placée dans un magnifique environnement. Le personnel est chaleureux, accueillant et disponible pour répondre à nos questions.

Les oreillers sont un peu durs à notre goût et il manque quelques rangements dans les dortoirs.

Zimmer zu voll mit 12 Personen.

The value for money was excellent, the location would be hard to beat. The bed was comfortable, the bedding was clean and warm with a good pillow. Smoo Cave Hotel was a 10 minute walk away with a lovely friendly bar, great food, good prices and snooker!

Washing on had nowhere to put stuff down other than the floor. Generally the place was a little tired looking, the doors needed better soft closers. The shower had no lock apart from in the shower cubicle itself which meant coming to the dry area to dress was a gamble as to whether you would get walked in on.

Sehr einfach aber angemessen. Ort selber sehr abgelegen und deshalb toll dass es so ein Angebot gibt. Alternative wäre Zelt oder Auto. Oder man bezahlt 200 oder mehr pro Nacht

Staff was super nice. I like the general room with all the tables chairs, games, curries for your food, etc.

I guess I am not a hostel kinda guy. Must have been like 2/3 different people snoring all night. Wasn’t aware I needed earplugs, but now I know. Also, I was five a code to get back into the room. Didn’t work. Saw another code posted somewhere else that didn’t work. So ended up sleeping on sofa bed in common area. For like 3 hours sleep. Not my best night ever

Fantastic location, right next to Smoo Cave! Very well equipped kitchen, and a small social area. The bedding was clean and fresh and the staff was absoulety excellent and friendly.

Only one male shower, which can get crowded in the morning / evening, though it wasnt a big issue during my stay.

Fantastic location right by Smoo cave. The facility was well equipped kitchen wise and the guest lounge was cozy and comfortable. The staff were fantastic.

The bunk beds moved a bit when people shifted in them, and the bedroom walls were very thin, so you could hear people speaking. Not helpful when trying to sleep.
