Wonderful stay. Staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The red room was so nice that we stayed in the. It would benefit from some drawers for you to put items in everything had to go at the bottom of the wardrobe with the shoes underneath. The bed is superking and was really comfortable but the pillows were not great they were standard size and if they upgraded them to feather king size pillows and somewhere to put smaller items the room would be perfect. The restaurant was really good. The chefs deserve a special mention. Beautiful food. Will definitely return.
Magical find. Spacious bedrooms. Great service. Superb food. Gorgeous surroundings. We will return.
Location was excellent in a quiet hamlet .walking distance of an excellent national trust property and church full of history. Good food but limited options at the hotel, staff friendly ,corteouse and informative on local places of interest.
Coach room was lovely, clean, good amenities and well decorated Food was excellent with the Vension being one of the best I’ve ever had Staff were friendly welcoming and always willing to help
Very clean and tidy, lovely staff , and a lovely breakfast.
We stayed here for 2 nights whilst we enjoyed the Sandringham summer music festival. It’s just a short cross country drive away, avoiding the main roads and inevitable queues. We couldn’t be more impressed with The Bedingfeld Arms. From the moment we arrived, customer service was warm, welcoming and always helpful. The bar, restaurant and grounds are all tidy. The chef’s are brilliant, we know this because every morsel of food was delicious, a taste sensation. We don’t live nearby so returning won’t be swift but next time we’re up this way we won’t hesitate to book again. Wonderful venue, lovely people and excellent, tasty traditional food n drink. Thank you.
Great value & a quiet location.
I found the pub excellent however I felt the restaurant choices was limited on a budget
Slow check, First 2 staff could not help and waited for a third. Breakfast fees increased from £12 to £15 since time of booking so declined breakfast. Otherwise food good, enjoyed our evening meal. Lighting in room was poor only one bedside light could have done with a light either side. The pub has a fabulous location and great grounds and parking facilities.
Had a nice stay with good food and service
Lovely room, food excellent
Everyday was beautiful
Loved the place. It was right next door to Oxburgh Hall where we wanted to visit. The weather was perfect. Couldn't have asked for a better location. Staff were attentive and the breakfast was probably the best we've had. Couldn't finish it all. It was very tasty. The only criticism we have and it's something that would take very little to rectify was the housekeeping side of things. Noticed a few cobwebs hanging from the ceiling as well as cobwebs in thee radiator. The area at the back of the bed was also quite dusty. The toilet seat wouldn't stay up which obviously didn't bother the Mrs as much but when I went to the toilet I had to hold it up with my hand. The last thing was the shower head. It looked like it needed a good clean. For all the negatives these wouldn't stop us staying there again. We had a great couple of nights sleep, the place was pretty as a picture with lovely grounds and in an area steeped in history. Overall a very positive visit.
Booked on a whim, too cluttered for my liking. The room has amazing potential with bit of money spent on it, a must is a small fridge, coffee maker, dressing table with accessible plugs and a mirror above. A mediocre stay … only vice I swapped Tesco vouchers but still feel short changed …
.
The hotel is located in a lovely little village. However, the customer service did not match the quality of the property. While I understand that mistakes happen, how they are addressed makes a significant difference. I had to leave the hotel early during my stay, and the hot water was not working. Starting my busy day in London with a cold shower at 5:00 AM was not ideal. Although the water was fixed by the time I returned, there was no offer of compensation or even a complimentary hot meal after a long day. Additionally, the shower cubicle in my room was full of mold, which surprised me, as I have never encountered such a thing in a hotel before. The staff were friendly enough, but I would recommend looking elsewhere before booking here, especially paying £110 a night.
Room was freezing cold, bed uncomfortable that left me with a bad back and neck all day and zero hot water. Checked out before breakfast because I just wanted to leave. The evening meal the night before was lovely except the sugar on my creme brulle was a little too done.
Got upgraded, excellent food and accomadation Unfortunately there was no hot water in the morning ,which was disappointing
Brilliant service and the best night sleep for a long time
We were in the area for a wedding and booked the hotel. The hotel is absolutely beautiful in the most amazing setting. The staff were so lovely and friendly. Made our stay wonderful. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back
The staff was rude, i was on a solo stay it wasn't overall busy i got dumped in a corner and left there, look over 45mins to get a desert which i wish i had just got up and not even bother to have. staff talked about me asif i wasnt stood there next to them. room was full of cob webs, mold in the bathroom for £110 you think they would at least paint it. didnt have a main light just rubbish stay overall
Beautiful property in a beautiful location, very quiet. The food was lovely and the beer garden was perfect for a sunny afternoon.
Quintessentially English and slightly faded charm. In a really small Norfolk village, slightly cut off. Peaceful. Food excellent. Could do with some updating of bathroom. Very clean everywhere. A perfect place to recharge the batteries. I will be back… maybe take my bicycle next time.. fabulous part of Norfolk for cycling.
Quick overnight stay very comfortable bed snd nice size room. Superb breakfast
I only stayed for one night, but was made welcome from the start, room was clean and tidy with everything I needed. Food was really good and the staff were friendly.
Lovely location. We were given a room in the courtyard, nicely decorated with simple furnishings. Tea,coffee and milk provided but no bottled water, which would usually be expected. The bathroom was adequate but the shower grouting was a bit grim. Food in the restaurant was excellent as was the service, the beer garden was lovely.
We stayed in the penthouse suite and it’s absolutely fantastic
Great place to stay. Nice ambiance, great and friendly service. Really nice restaurant and very friendly and efficient staff.
Lovely pub and hotel. Had to book early if you wanted a meal. Food though exceptional. Having to decide what you wanted for breakfast on Sunday the night before was a bit of a pain and breakfast being served at weekends from 8.30 was too late for me as i was working. And had to go without. I will though definately be staying here again.
The staff are very friendly and make this a great place for a quiet weekend in the country.
Very welcoming staff, special mention of 'Tom' who solved a problem with my phone refusing to connect to the wifi. The food was great.
This a great hotel and restaurant - very nice rooms, well equipped and clean with a comfortable bed. Food is outstanding and all staff were friendly and helpful, highly recommended.
Great staff. We were looked after very well.
A most enjoyable stay, great food, very helpful team
Hotel was clean and food was good.
Spacious room with a very comfortable 4 poster bed. Toiletries and tea and coffee provided. Tasty breakfast served promptly - this had to be pre ordered and paid for on arrival.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. They were so welcoming, especially the Manager. Went out of her way to make the stay perfect.
Very comfortable stay. Only one criticism - the ground floor annex is directly overlooked by kitchen staff having a smoke around the back, so there is no privacy.
Husband had the steak and he said it was very good. The full english breakfast was very good. Only issue was finding a plug socket near a mirror so i could straighten my hair. Staff were lovely and i would stay there again.
Quiet location and nice restaurant although there were too many flies in the restaurant which were a distraction and serious mistakes on the bill
Great food and value for money rooms in a beautiful location.
Great location. Friendly staff and great facilities
Lovely food, good staff service
The walls were very thin, meaning that we could hear everything from next door including the TV, conservations and snoring. The wiFi signal was weak in the room.
Nice 4 star accomodation with friendly staff and owners, ideal for visiting Oxburgh Hall and Gardens just minutes away on foot. Lovely food served here too.
I stay in a lot of hotels due to business and i picked this one due to location and reviews what a result Fantastic greeting by 2 kadies when i arrived Great room Superb high quality food in the restaurant obviously cooked by a good chef Great service from the waitress and the gentleman behind the bar I would recomend this hotel for business or pleasure to anyone it is worth travelling that extra mile or two to get there.
Very nice place to stay very quite very nice Resturant great breakfast.👍
Ab Fab. Spotlessly clean room. Amazzzzing restaurant ambiance and really, really great food. Attentive, friendly staff and good prices. We will definitely be back.
Check in was ok.shownto room 8 which we have stayed in before. Glad to find some issues that we highlighted last visit were resolved but toilet seat still faulty. Wont stay up. Sat outside for a drink . Wines lovely. We went inside to eat. Food was delicious. We sat back outside after that and were enjoying relaxing when the man who checked us in asked us if we would mind moving as people who had arrived preferred to sit where we were sitting ! We were that taken aback we obliged. We spoke to one of the other staff about this as we were a bit miffed and she kindly said we would not be charged for breakfast. Breakfast was again lovely Just a shame stay was marred by someone with poor customer service skills
Excellent service and the food was fantastic. Great surroundings and restful and quiet sleep. Great place to be in
Weve stayed before so were looking forward to staying again .We booked a more expensive room this time round. Check in was good but no temps taken. Shown to room 8.On first impression it looked lovely BUT.....only one curtain at window.Hooks still in place for other one.Tie backs on window sill.Hole in wall where hook had fallen out. Toilet seat would not stay up and dropped down when you stood up.Some mold in shower and on sink. Room tastefully furnished and overall I did like it but for £103 would expect it to be a bit more well maintained. Bed was comfy but room itself noisy .Single glazed window did not keep sound out . Lots of jets flying over from US airbase .We were woken at 6am by someone clanging about. Food again was lovely and staff very nice Just a few niggly issues
Beautiful location. Impressed from the get go.Gorgeous outside areas Smooth friendly check in shown to number 5 which is an outbuilding Room bright and clean. Although my taste isnt chabby chique room waa tastefully furnished. We had our dinner there.Food and drinks really nice and reasonably priced. Did not sleep so well as bed was 2 singles pushed together and there was an uncomfortable gap in the middle . Shower pressure was very poor which was disappointing. Breakfast was delicious and nice and hot.Cuppa was just right too Check out was quick Would stay again for sure
Excellent clean accommodation, ideal for an overnight stay. We stayed in one of the annex rooms adjacent to the hotel. The manager fitted us in to the busy restaurant even though we hadn’t booked and the food was really good. Breakfast also good.
Clean tidy comfy room. Food was amazing.
The property and surroundings are beautifully picturesque. Food was fantastic. Staff and service was also brilliant.
Pleasant stay at a pleasant venue
We've stayed here quite a few times now. The Bedingfeld suite is such a lovely room and we always have a fantastic meal. Will definitely be staying here again soon.
Never stayed here before, as we didn’t know it was there but will be staying there again if we have jobs in the area as such a lovely place and the food and staff were very friendly.
Food and drink fab and have stayed here several times. Room bc was nice but in parts a CB little tired. Stayed in The Red Room Mattress split at top end., wall fixing for curtain loose and bathroom needs a deep clean Overall still good but maybe look at refreshing
Comfortable. Had to request hairdryer. Staff helpful and friendly. Not clear how to get in after hours.
It is a very special place for me having stayed here multiple times. It is comfortable the food is outstanding and the service is above all expectations
This was purely a stop over enroute to the coast. Lovely little village and right next to Oxburgh Hall if you fancy a few hours looking around Norfolk’s premier National Trust property. However, what attracted us to this place was the excellent reviews of the staff and food and we weren’t disappointed. Top quality at affordable prices. Great cosy bar to enjoy the rest of the evening.
On arrival we had a drink in the bar. Pleasent atmosphere but lots of flies. Taken to our room which was in annoutside block. The shower was full of mouldy trim and grubby. The view out of the only window was a trio of calor gas bottles and a bin store. Room was full of flies. We were given a fly swat...!!! Unhappy with this we enquired about a better room and were taken to a room in the main hotel. Seemed pleasent so took it as a compromise . On closer inspection we encountered the same mould , in fact more in the shower than the first. The curtain hook fell out of the wall as it wasnt fixed to the wall in any way but lodged in. A single curtain that took us 5 mins to close as didnt run smoothly on the pole ( thankful for a tall husband at this point) we went down to dinner and encountered flies yet again and again a fly swat was provided..!!! Its not the guests job to deal with a hotels fly problem as far as im concerned. They clearly had a problem with flies are were not dealing with it in a right or proper way. After speaking with other guests we realised we were not alone with the irritating flies. The bed was comfortable and we had a good night sleeo. However, we gave breakfast a miss. Couldn't bare the thought of fighting flies again. Will not return.
Excellent food in bar/restaurant. Friendly service.
Main house and food was very good. Nice people. But the coach house rooms were a tad shabby - not shabby-chic just shabby. Shower drain blocked with hair ball - had to clean it out ourselves. Nowhere to dry towels. Bathroom floor dirty. But for the money overall not too bad.
This hotel is in a beautiful rural area and could be a fantastic place to stay. We were allocated a coaching room which was in a converted annex. It was comfortable enough but there were loads of flies in the room, in the bathroom there was a patch of wall had been filled and not smoothed or painted over - just a pet hate but a little attention to detail should be applied I think if you have paying customers! We ate in the pub - the food was overpriced. I had luxury fish pie which was over cooked and mediocre. My husband had fish and chips - the fish was fresh but the chips were dry. The sweets were tasty but microwaved. The service was quick and efficient and the staff were pleasant. Overall, the stay was average and disappointing as I expected more.
Loved everything really, what wasn't to like . Chef's food for bank holiday was a little limited for choices very average , food quality was still reasonable but could of complitmented the place with a signature dish or two . Decided to have Steak and ask for peppercorn sauce , which was no trouble ... However when came wasn't peppercorn sauce it was gravy & added peppercorn , no cream and no peppercorn prepared , so i had to leave it , wasn't what i excepted at all . But maybe the more South you go thats how they do it , it wasn't for me . Would i go back ? Yes i would ! Lovely area , beautiful rooms , lovely attentive Staff, plenty to do & dog friendly & child friendly.
nice staff and nice food.
The location is exactly what we wanted - quiet, in the country but only 10 minutes from "civiliation".
Stayed in the suite: large room with a lovely, huge bathroom. The food was good, but slightly more predictable gastropub dishes than I had hoped for; for example no local spring lamb on the menu. All very good though. Very helpful staff too.
Beautiful Character and well looked after . All of the staff where very helpful and friendly. Perfect!
The room was far too small. It had an oversized bed which took up most of the room only allowing for one bedside lamp whilst the other side was barely passable to get into bed. I also took my dog who had nowhere to sleep other than in the doorway between the room and bathroom which then had to be left open and we had to walk over him to gain access between the two. Not ideal, particularly as they knew he was coming and I was being charged £8 for him for a one night stay. On the plus side, the manager did deduct 10% when I informed him of this when checking out the next morning.
Fantastic place to stay and great location right by Oxburgh Hall. Attention to detail is outstanding. Our room was beautifully furnished, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom great with a huge bath and a very large shower.. we had a Valentines dinner and breakfast the next morning. We couldn’t fault the food and the service was excellent. Would highly recommend!
I stay here every time I go to Kings Lynn on business, It is homey, comfortable, excellent food, service, clean, unique place. I highly recommend it
A fantastic hotel in a great location, with great food, and really helpful and friendly staff. Would definitely return. Thank you for a lovely stay.
We found this to be a very comfortable base for our visit to Norfolk and a lovely quiet village. The room was spacious and attractive and the food at both breakfast & dinner was delicious and plentiful with varied choices to suit all tastes on the menu. We chose this location for its proximity to Oxburgh Hall which was an excellent visit, but an added factor was the reasonable access routes to the North Norfolk coast. We felt very well looked after by all the staff we met at the hotel and will definitely consider a return visit in the future.
There were so many flies in the room we ended up killing about 10 and they were still about. Shower wouldn’t drain properly justed pooled at your feet so you had to shower quickly. When mentioning on check out all we got was a sorry and they still charged the full rate. Shame as it was a comfy and well represented room apart from that and staff were friendly.
