Mooie tuin, mooi uitzicht vanuit de kamer, vriendelijk personeel, goed restaurant op het dak van het hotel. Prachtige locatie, boven op een berg in een gerestaureerd kasteel uit de 9de eeuw.

Ein wirklich besonderer Ort. Für uns war es, als wären wir nach unserem Städtetrip nach Sevilla, Cordoba und Granada in eine andere Welt eingetaucht. Wie die Bilder ja schon zeigen, liegt das Castillo über der Stadt Monda und man hat einen atemberaubenden Blick über die angrenzende Sierra Nevada. Mein Mann und ich konnten uns wirklich nicht satt sehen. Das Restaurant ist ausgezeichnet und wir können nur empfehlen, dort den ein oder anderen Abend zu verbringen. Alle Speisen und Getränke sind auf Top-Niveau. Die Preise sind sicher etwas höher, als in den Restaurants in der Region, die Qualität spricht aber für sich und der Blick von dort oben sowie das gesamte Ambiente im Castillo sind sowieso unbezahlbar. Auch das Frühstück war sehr gut und einem 4 Sterne Haus angemessen. Das Personal war ausnahmslos sehr freundlich, teils herzlich. Tatsächlich war ich wegen der Anfahrt nach oben sehr besorgt und hätte aufgrund der vielen Kommentare dazu die Unterkunft fast nicht gebucht. Der Weg ist aber absolut gut machbar, wenn man die richtige Auffahrt zum Hotel nimmt – gar kein Problem, selbst mit eher kleinem Mietwagen.

Uns hat ausdrücklich ausnahmslos alles gefallen! Wenn wir kleine Verbesserungen anmerken dürften wären diese - Ein paar Haken im Bad und grundsätzlich etwas mehr Stauraum (Kommode, Regal,...) im Zimmer - Fliegengitter an den Fenstern - Ein bisschen Beleuchtung auf dem Weg von Monda ins Castillo Anmerken möchte ich der Vollständigkeit halber noch, dass der Poolbereich wirklich sehr klein ist und die Liegen sehr beengt stehen. Wir hatten eine riesengroße Dachterrasse im obersten Stockwerk und haben deshalb nicht am Pool gelegen, von daher war uns das egal. Wer aber keine eigene Terrasse hat, könnte eventuell am Pool vergeblich nach etwas Privatsphäre suchen.

This is our fourth stay at the hotel and everything about it is wonderful, from the location and the rooms, to the pool, the food, and the staff.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

The hotel itself is gorgeous. The food was mostly really good (the cheesecake is to die for), the staff are friendly, the views are lovely and it’s a peaceful location.

Although the staff are nice, service was often slow. There aren’t enough sunbeds for the size of the hotel and the breakfast was overpriced for what it is.

Dommage que les serveurs ne passent pas ou peu à la terrasse de la piscine pour prendre les commandes de boissons. Dommage que certains clients laissent leurs mégots de cigarettes sur le sol de cette terrasse et dans les pots de plantes et qu'ils ne sont pas ramassés. Mauvaise insonorisation des chambres : le calme et le silence espérés sont donc compromis.

Únicamente encontramos algo de dificultad para aparcar, aunque sí dispone de algunos aparcamientos privados.

I was treated very well by the staff, the food was great and the room was very clean. The best part was the view from the window.

Szép volt a szálloda és a kilátás, a medence is kellemes volt. Reggelit egyszer kértünk a 3 nap alatt, kicsit ár érték arányban sokalltam de finom volt.

Minden behallatszódott, ajtócsapkodás, éjjeli kiabálás, szomszéd üvöltözése. A személyzet is úgy mozgott, hogy csapkodott és hangos volt. A szobánk is rossz helyen volt. A közös helyiségekben a tisztaságra jobban kéne figyelni.

Las instalaciones del hotel son preciosas, llaman a disfrutar de sus distintos rincones y fantásticas vistas. El personal muy atento y profesional.

Por decir algo quizás al tratarse de un hotel de 4 estrellas y una habitación superior, encontré que la grifería de la ducha era muy sencilla, el agua no salía bien y tardaba en bajar el agua cuando te duchabas quedando un poco encharcado.

Very recomended hotel with boutique design, perfect garden enviornment, big pool, delicious food at reasonable price. Some staff are cold face, but the ones at recepción, bar and garden are very warm and helpful.

Hôtel incroyable plein de charme. Chaque endroit est beau et travaillé, de l’entrée à la piscine. C’est un havre de paix où le repos est roi. La cadre est fabuleux. J’en garde un super souvenir.

Arrivée en voiture un peu particulière, ça grimpe fort ! Bien faire le tour et ne pas passer dans le village avec ces ruelles étroites (pas forcément suivre le gps)

El hotel es uno de los más bonitos en los que hemos estado. Tiene unas vistas preciosas y muchísimo encanto. La habitación era muy cómoda, estaba muy limpia y todo funcionaba perfectamente, incluido el aire acondicionado. Además, el personal es encantador. Queremos destacar especialmente a las personas del bar, que nos atendieron estupendamente y con un trato muy cercano, atento y personalizado. En general, la estancia fue muy agradable.

El acceso al hotel es bastante complicado. La carretera de subida es muy empinada y puede resultar difícil e incluso algo peligrosa. Esto también hace menos cómodo desplazarse hasta el pueblo. Además, nos ofrecieron un upgrade que incluía terraza y bebidas. Aceptamos porque entendimos que la terraza estaría integrada en la habitación, pero en realidad estaba fuera y separada, así que apenas la utilizamos. En cuanto a las bebidas, el upgrade incluye muy pocas opciones, básicamente refrescos y café. Las bebidas que queríamos consumir tuvimos que pagarlas aparte, por lo que finalmente tampoco llegamos a aprovechar esa parte del upgrade. En nuestro caso, no creemos que merezca la pena pagar el suplemento.

Unser siebentägiger Aufenthalt im Castillo de Monda war rundum gelungen. Das Hotel liegt wunderschön über dem Ort und bietet eine Atmosphäre, die sofort zur Entspannung einlädt. Die Zimmer waren angenehm, sauber und boten einen tollen Blick über die umliegenden Hügel – besonders abends ein echtes Highlight. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir Laura und Martha an der Rezeption. Beide waren außergewöhnlich freundlich, aufmerksam und jederzeit bereit, uns mit hilfreichen Tipps zu schönen Orten, Festivitäten und kleinen Geheimempfehlungen zu unterstützen. Ihre herzliche Art hat unseren Aufenthalt spürbar bereichert. Während unseres siebentägigen Aufenthalts im Castillo de Monda durften wir auch an mehreren Festen im Ort teilnehmen, die uns besonders berührt haben. Diese Veranstaltungen wurden für einen guten Zweck organisiert und strahlten eine warmherzige, freudige Atmosphäre aus, die sofort ansteckend wirkte. Man spürte deutlich, wie die gesamte Gemeinschaft – von jung bis alt – zusammenhält und mit echter Herzlichkeit feiert. Insgesamt war es eine wunderbare Woche in einem Hotel mit besonderem Charme und einem Team, das mit echter Gastfreundschaft überzeugt.

The property was beautiful! It’s a castle so our stay felt very special. The swimming pool was great and the bar was very nice!

We had a problem with our shower. The water was accumulating. Be careful with the parking. Spots are very tight and our car got crushed by someone. Anyway, the reception helped us quickly to solve the problem and find the camera recording.

Ein Juwel, ein absoluter Geheimtipp! Eine mittelalterliche Burg in dem sich ein 4* Hotel befindet, das man absolut als 5* bezeichnen kann. Unglaublich schöne Lage, schöne Zimmer, Wahnsinns Panorama (man sieht kilometerweit), unglaublich freundlicher und netter Service, wirklich jeder im Personal ist extrem nett und bemüht. Toller Rooftop Pool, sehr sehr gutes Essen, gute Weinkarte, sehr schöne Sitzmöglichkeiten für Essen & Trinken. Ein Traum!

El hotel precioso, decoración excelente, personal amable y muy atento. La habitacion tenía calentador de agua pa hacerte el café o infusiones, las cuales te rellanaban todos los días el servicio. La cama y almohadas muy cómodas, la habitación Preciosa. Toda la decoración del hotel está en venta y cinta también de bisutería, nos compramos 2 pulseras preciosas.

Por poner algo, la cuesta enorme que había que bajar si deseabas bajar al pueblo, pero igualmente estaba cerca, a 5 min andando de los excelentes restaurantes locales, baratos y muy abundantes.

Such a fabulous location, spectacular views, great food, very warm welcoming and friendly staff. This was our second stay at this wonderful castle and it won't be our last. We particularly love the garden terrace for enjoying tasty snacks and cocktails surrounded by lush tropical plants and taking in the magnificent sunsets. The accommodations are beautifully furnished and very comfortable and the saltwater swimming pool is perfect for cooling off.

Fueron muy detallistas, ya que fue nuestro aniversario y nos dejaron una tarjeta de felicitación y champán en el almuerzo que teníamos reservado. Todo súper bonito, la piscina preciosa y el personal muy, muy amable. Espero repetir para el próximo aniversario.

We hebben enorm genoten van ons verblijf in dit prachtige en rustige hotel. De ligging is ideaal om er even helemaal tussenuit te zijn en tot rust te komen. Alles wat we nodig hadden voor een comfortabel verblijf was aanwezig en alles was netjes verzorgd. Het personeel was bijzonder gastvrij, vriendelijk en behulpzaam, waardoor we ons meteen welkom voelden. Kortom, een heerlijke plek om te ontspannen. Wij komen graag nog eens terug en kunnen dit hotel zeker aanbevelen.

Der perfekte Ort um zu entspannen. Super Personal, schöne Zimmer, gemütlicher Pool, gutes Essen und unglaubliche Weitsicht. Mit Mietauto perfekt für einige Tage zu verbringen ausserhalb des hektischen Malaga.

Hôtel magnifique, un château très beau, une décoration soignée. Le personnel est très aimable. La vue des terrasses et de la piscine est absolument incroyable! Le petit déjeuner est varié et de très bonne qualité.

It felt like a real special getaway, up in a castle atop a hill! And the restaurant food and service was spectacular!!! The restaurant was also good value.

Unfortunately, the tapas in the bar were disappointing in quality, as well as pricey.

It was my first time: the room, bed, bathroom, window etc all exceeded expectation. The staff speak good english which can be important for non-spanish speaking visitors. The complimenteries are top notch.

Die Zimmer waren schön, aber zu dunkel. Das Personal war super freundlich. Wir konnten zwischen 3 Zimmer aussuchen. Essen und Frühstück gut aber hohe Preise.

Es roch nach Holzbehandlungsmittel. Es hatte viele tote Mücken und Spinnen an den Vorhängen. Man wurde immer auf Englisch angesprochen. Die Kellner waren zu wenig aufmerksam beim Nachtessen. Es ging alles zu lange.

Hôtel merveilleux, au personnel aimable et accueillant. Un lieu empreint de charme et très agréable pour ses équipements. Les espaces extérieurs et la piscine ont un goût de paradis, ils sont les bienvenus en fin de journée, après les visites et la chaleur. Nous avons passé quelques jours hors du temps, profitant de la proximité de Marbella, Mijas et Malaga mais aussi celle plus éloignée de Ronda.

La route pour accéder à l'hôtel peut être impressionnante surtout pour une arrivée de nuit sans connaissance des lieux.

Onze kamer was onder de restaurant en elke avond en ochtend heel luidruchtig. Vooral het schuiven met de stoelen net boven het bed is erg onaangenaam. Eenmaal ontbijt genomen, buffet was zeker in orde maar ook niet uitgebreid voor de prijs die er gevraagd wordt en moet je aanschuiven voor de koffie aan de automaat met zelfbediening. Putjes geur in de badkamer.

The staff were all lovely. The hotel grounds and views were beautiful. Food to order was great, breakfast was good. Small town with cafe, small supermarket etc was walkable and plenty of walks to enjoy the scenery .

We were there for a wedding nearby and some rooms did not have a full length mirror. Also, prebooking taxis is essential and can be a bit pricey.

Alles was fantastisch! Uitzicht, hygiëne, faciliteiten, allemaal perfect.

This was our second stay at Castillo de Monda and it was superb! We stayed in the junior suite (703) which has a fantastic view and a private balcony. The food in both the bar and restaurant are very good, and the wine list is superb. This is a perfect stay if you want to be at the beach in 20-25 minutes without being in the middle of the crowded hotels. The area around the hotel is nice and calm. Playa Capobino and Playa de Nagüeles are not far away. Finally the staff are really nice and attentive. Will definitely visit again!

The showers can use an upgrade a few years (but never change the authentic details!)

The Hotel was stunning with fabulous views from the room/restaurant/bar and pool areas. Staff were attentive without being overbearing.

The drive up from Monda to the Hotel is hairy although we later found an easier way up.

This was the second time for us. We spent 5 nights there to rest and were not disappointed. This place is a gem. The room was amazing with a breathtaking view. We enjoyed the pool and the calm surrounding this beautiful hotel. I hope we will be able to come back next year.

Unterbringung in einer alten Burg ist schon was besonderes. Positiv, dass ein Pool vorhanden ist. Der Rundumblick ist fantastisch.

Prachtig hotel met uitzicht, sfeer en geschiedenis. Met smaak ingericht. Grote kamer met heerlijk bed. Grote badkamer met inloopdouche. Nederlands sprekend vriendelijk personeel. Goed restaurant met sfeervol terras met uitzicht. Prima ontbijtbuffet. Heerlijk zwembad met ligbedden en parasols. Rondom het hotel verschillende terrassen waar je kunt zitten Gratis parkeren voor de deur.

Eigenlijk niets! Als ik dan toch iets moet noemen: de stoelen in het restaurant terras buiten zitten niet comfortabel: harde stang in je rug. Zet daar betere stoelen neer, zodat je als gast ontspannen kunt genieten van je diner. Lampje op airco op de kamer geeft veel licht, waardoor kamer 's nachts niet echt donker wordt.
