Reviewed Sep 4, 2026Look past the lack of kerb appeal and you'll find a great B&B with a fantastic view. Run by a lovely couple, who gave a warm welcome and a hearty breakfast. The room was pleasant, bath room was clean and shower was hot. Would definitely stay here again.
If we were being picky it would have been nice to have a room with a view (although the lounge/breakfast area just outside the room makes up for this) and a bit bigger shower cubicle would have been great too.

Wir sind groß, das Bett war für uns viel zu klein und zu schmal. Unser Zimmer ging auf die Durchgangsstraße (kein Meerblick), Verkehr tw. laut/ Fenster konnten nachts nicht geöffnet werden.

There was nothing to dislike. Did everything we needed for a quiet break.

Sehr sehr hellhörig! Exaktes Terminzeitfenster nach Vereinbarung für Frühstücken erforderlich, da nur 1 Tisch für alle Gäste/Zimmer vorhanden. Ich fand es schade, dass der Gastgeber beim Auschecken/Bezahlen einfach aufgerundet und somit ein paar Euro mehr abgerechnet hat, als Booking angegeben hatte. Macht nicht den Kohl fett, gehört sich aber nicht und ist etwas schade zum Abschied. Die B&B Bewertungen von über 9 können wir nicht nachvollziehen, ist aber in Irland oft so (wahrscheinlich als Bonus für die netten Gastgeber)

Die Zimmer entsprechen den Fotos, es gibt einen schönen Aufenthaltsbereich, der Blick auf die Bucht ist herrlich, nachts kann man vom Bett aus den Mond über dem Meer sehen. Dympna und Eric sind sehr aufmerksame Gastgeber. Wir haben das beste Frühstück erhalten, das wir auf unserer dreiwöchigen Reise in Irland hatten.
Wir hätten mehr Nächte in Duncannon bleiben sollen.

Everything was great but on a Sunday night all the kitchens in the local bars stopped serving at 8….

No complaints from us - the experience was definitely fit for purpose!

I accidentally left my phone charger behind, and they kindly posted it back to me without hesitation. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options including cereals, fresh fruit, and a delicious full Irish breakfast. We couldn’t have asked for more. 🌊👌🏻

The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, always going out of their way to accommodate every guest’s needs. Waking up to a breathtaking sea view each morning was unforgettable, and the breakfast was both delicious and thoughtfully prepared. This place truly understands what great hospitality means — everything felt tailored to the guest. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Super Frühstück mit reichlich Auswahl an Obst, Joghurts, Müsli etc. Auch die Selbstbedienungsbar mit Kaffee und Gebäck am Nachmittag ist großartig, von der Lage und der Aussicht ganz abgesehen. Wünsche Eric und Familie eine tolle, erfolgreiche Saison. Ihr Service ist einfach perfekt.

The weather! Haha, nothing to do with the property! The beach looked wonderful to walk along but we unfortunately couldn’t enjoy it.

Dympna was a great host, we were very well looked after and her husband Eric made us a lovely fry for breakfast. Location was fabulous too, right on the beach with pubs and food only a 2 min walk away. We had a fabulous night stay Will be recommending to others !!
