As divisões em comum com os hóspedes, cozinha, sala de estar e casas de banho, mereciam mais limpeza e cuidados constantes. O alojamento em si é antigo, móveis velhos… uma necessária uma renovação ao espaço.

Há wc principal e um espaço só com duche e outro só com sanita, o que é excelente para ninguém empatar ninguém. Tem cozinha bem equipada e tomadas junto das camas. Levei a bicicleta e ficou segura no interior. Também deu para estender roupa no estendal.
Nada a apontar.

Reviewed Jul 23, 2026The bedroom was spacious and tidy, the beds and pillows were surprisingly comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and there were enough bathrooms, so hardly any waiting time, despite being at full capacity. Beautiful historic building (could use a little TLC to restore its grandeur and improve the visual aspect) and perfect location, just a few steps away from the municipal market.
Some tenants were not as attentive as they should be, when sharing a bathroom... A few small changes to the living room could make it more attractive and comfortable as a common area.

Reviewed Jul 9, 2026Localização boa, perto de restaurantes e bares. A praia para banho fica longe, necessário carro ou andar muito. Ficamos no quarto privativo e é bem espaçoso e arejado. Apesar de não ter ar condicionado nem ventilador (mesmo mencionado no site que há ventilador) não passamos calor, mesmo no verão de 36 graus. O senhor da recepção é muito simpático e atencioso.
A limpeza deixa um pouco a desejar, apesar do banheiro estarem limpos. As instalações são bem antigas

Uma feira de Páscoa com música aos berros, muito mau tentar dormir com uma feira próxima. Não é responsabilidade ou culpa de quem gere o hostel, mas não deixou de ser incómodo.

Reviewed Nov 8, 2025Das Haus ist ein schönes Haus um die Jahrhundertwende (ca. 1900). Es enthält noch viele originale Details. Hohe Räume mit teilweise noch Stuck, Schnitzereien und einiges mehr. Das Haus ist ordentlich und sauber geführt. Die Bäder, Toiletten und auch die Küche sind stilvoll modernisiert. Mein Fahrrad durfte ich im Haus unterstellen. Der Inhaber gab mir noch sehr wertvolle Tipps für meine Weiterreise. Vielen Dank dafür!

Kitchen was a bit of a fight as small and many people using it. Room was small and little in it, but the worst feature was the door. Early on it got jammed, which may have been our fault, but we weren't aware of what jammed it and then felt like we spent most of the night worrying about whether we would be able to get to the loo and get away in the morning.

Reviewed Oct 19, 2025I fell in love with this place as soon as I arrived. The building itself is magnificent, it’s an 130yr old house with high ceilings and a lot of character. Beautiful big windows with an amazing view of the ocean. IT’s central and in walking distance from everything yes also very calm and peaceful. Luis is a fantastic, kind and helpful host. Nothing is too much trouble and he goes above and beyond to help and advise on anything and everything you need, very helpful and informative. I absolutely love this place and had booked to stay for 2 nights and extended straight away to stay for a week. I would highly recommend staying here, I will most certainly be back, firstly, I need to leave first 🤣❤️

Reviewed Sep 7, 2025This is my second time at Hostel 402 and, I was not let down. The hostel is in a grand old building, with great views of the marina. The rooms are spacious, and the beds are comfortable. Everything is kept very clean. It has a huge common room, and a well stocked kitchen. The main bathroom is big and has a nice shower. The owner is friendly and kind, and he makes sure you're happy. Highly recommended.
